Harlan Coben is a great writer. This book features Myron Bolitar and the mighty Win. Old colleagues work with Bolitar to solve a very intriguing mystery of a sportsman wanted for murder ……trouble is he died three years ago. A really good book with interesting characters. 10/10

I love Myron and Win as a double act- the characters play so well off each other but the case in this book was a bit difficult to fully immerse myself into.
I liked the idea of the dead man committing crimes and the investigation into what really happened was well written but some of the relationships were a bit convoluted to follow and detracted from the pace of the investigation.
That said still a very readable book with some humour as well as the excellent detective work, just not one of the best of the Bolitar series for me.

Harlan Coben enchants us with his usual wit, tangled twists and outlandish characters.
This absolutely doesn’t disappointment if you’ve read books with Win or Myron before. If you haven’t, you can still read and enjoy this but knowing a little about those two characters enhances the pleasure all the more.
In terms of writing style and plot, this story is easy to read and doesn’t tax the brain for seasoned mystery enthusiasts.
There’s a jovial style that does remove some of the more sinister elements but that doesn’t detract from the enjoyment overall.
I don’t think it’s one of Cobens’ better works but rather still an absolute pleasure to read.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC

I found it hard not to give a higher rating. I really love Harlan Coben.

The plot was creative and certainly worth reading. I did not grasp what was happening at all. I wonder why this would surprise me. Very clever and logical that a serial killer’s methods would evolve to escape capture! Full marks on creativity and writing skill.

My only gripe in this book was the characters and relationships between them.

I don’t like books where the hero has access to unlimited resources (IT support, bodyguards, private jets) and unlimited money to help solve any problem. Too unlikely!

Relationships and the often cringeworthy dialogue were equally annoying! I did wonder whether this was a new genre - comedy thriller! Conversations often sounded ridiculous.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

What can I say? This had me riveted from the start. Well written story and characters. Brilliant twists. Can’t wait until this is made into a series or film.

The blurb of this really drew me in. However when actually reading it, I almost DNF'ed it quite a few times. It dragged out so much, I didn't like the characters and the ending left me wishing I'd simply deleted it 10% in. So disappointing for Harlan Coben, this just wasn't for me

A good story from Harlan Coben. I am not familiar with the previous Myron and Win books but this book worked well as a standalone. A good plot and a very unexpected ending meant it was a very enjoyable read.

Thriller with blistering pace as Myron investigates a case where DNA is found from a man who has been dead for years… or has he? Crossing the boundaries of personal and family relationships, Myron and his incorrigible colleague Win chase the truth.

Absolutely brilliant book I couldn't put it down. I still had the wrong person in my head as killer up till the end . Hope they make this book into a movie it was fantastic.

Meeting up with Myron and win again is always a pleasure. An old nemesis returns from the dead but wider implications are at play. Full of emotions and wonderful to read

I was on the edge of my seat reading this and I certainly couldn’t put it down until I’d finished it!
I haven’t read any of the previous books in this series, but I don’t think that matters as the characters are easy to engage with and the story is easy to understand.
I can’t stop talking about this book and I’ll definitely be recommending it.

This is a really fast-paced novel with an intriguing plot at the heart of it - how can someone who is dead be wanted for murder?

Myron Bolitar and his friend Win end up investigating when one of Myron's former clients, Greg, is accused of murder. Digging into what has really happened to Greg, who both thought had died, puts them in danger themselves.

There are some really funny exchanges between Myron and Win, who are both very well-drawn and multi-dimensional characters. Myron's relationship with his wife, Terese, is also really well written. She is a great character and, as with several crime novels, the fact that a happy and satisfying relationship exists among the horrors is a really welcome part of the novel.

There are various emotional entanglements involved in trying to figure out what happened with Greg, not least the fact that he'd had a relationship with Myron's former lover Emily. Myron and Emily's son Jeremy had then been raised by Emily and Greg, who Jeremy obviously sees as his real father. Myron's attempts to deal with this and the emotions it stirs up are great to read.

The truth about Greg and why he disappeared is genuinely fascinating and complicated, and will keep readers' interest. The ending, focusing on Myron's personal life, is striking. I would definitely recommend this book, but also recommend people read some previous Coben novels with these characters too.

I always look forward to the new Harlan Coben book and this one was no different. The characters are familiar but the story line is always totally different. A really good and gripping read.

A fast paced thriller read with a gripping ending and well described characters and I was on the edge of my seat throughout.

Thank you to Netgalley and Random House UK for this ARC which I can thoroughly recommend.

Seriously clever premise which had me racing and guessing to the very end. We are all so very used to forensics being black and white and expecting them to solve every crime without any shadow of a doubt, this plot turns all of that on its head. Crimes are being committed by people who have a grudge against their murder victim and the forensics points directly and absolutely towards them but the only problem is they definitely didn’t do it. Add to that some criminal underworld action, a dash of gore and somebody who was supposed to be dead, has been cremated and mourned is actually not. I totally loved the main characters and all of the mind blowing twists and turns and a neat and ingenious ending which I didn’t see coming. I love HC’’s books and this one did not disappoint!

This is the first Myron Bolitar book I've read.
Myron and Win are visited by two FBI agents. They want to know where Greg Downing is. Myron is confused. Greg died three years ago, and Myron did the eulogy.
Myron and Win track Greg, and what unfolds is quite a complex case.
I found some of the language quite hard to follow, American speak, which didn't make sense to me. I just sped read through these sections. The story itself was easy to follow. The person who I thought was the perpetrator wasn't.
The ending was gripping. The conversations not so.
I gave read a few of Coburn's books, which I have raced through, unputdownable. Unfortunately, I didn't feel this one, so I probably won't read Bolitar books.

When starting this book I wondered if I was going to be completely lost with it, having not read the previous titles in the series. However it did not disappoint at all.

I was gripped by the story line really quickly, and the characters brought a great level of humour and light-heartedness to the tale. As the story progressed, the twists and turns kept me guessing up until the very end.

I am sure I would have gained even greater context if I had read the previous books, but I would recommend anyone to pick this up and read it. Unfortunately I now have the problem that I want to read all of the previous books!

I enjoyed the book, found it really entertaining however felt that there was a lot of backstory going into it that it would make me enjoy it much more had I known about it, so fans of the series will love it for sure!
Thanks to NetGalley, the editor and the author for the opportunity to access this advanced copy.

Many thanks to Century for the ARC.

This was my first Coben novel, but I'm aware and familiar with his work and especially its popularity in France. There are loads of twists and crazy turns here. Long dead rivals show up alive, ex wives, illegitimate children and crushing secrets, it's a lot for a standalone novel but presumably the culmination of his Bolitar books for the long time fans.

None of this reduced my enjoyment of Think Twice. The characters are engaging and there's a loose and casual style to the writing that is smart and funny, with some moments of emotional weight and breathless action.
