Three years ago sports agent, Myron Bolitar, gave a eulogy for Greg Downing, one of his clients, but also a nemesis, from being rivals on the basketball court, to finding out that Greg had been bringing up Myron's son without either of their knowledge.
Now Greg's DNA has been found at two recent murder scenes, so what has happened, have the police made a mistake, or is Greg still alive?
I have devoured all of Harlen Coben's previous books, and am more than happy to report that this book is just as good as the others, all the usual characters are there, Win being my favourite, along with Esperenza and Big Cyndi.
The subtle humour is apparent, and the story is action packed and full of suspense
Highly recommended and can't wait for the next one

A hostile FBI interview of Myron Bolitar and Win Lockwood takes place concerning Greg Downing, who has died three years ago. They have reason to believe that Downing is involved in two high profile murders of Cecilia Callister and her son, Clay. This is the first of many surprises as Myron does a little digging, and a few pieces of a very puzzling jigsaw start to slot into place. Myron is on the case, with a little help from Win and Esperanza Diaz amongst others.
Well, this is a fun read as Myron and Win are reunited, and of course, there’s humerous banter between them, which does teeter into the ripe Camembert kind on occasions, but it is still engaging. The plot is lively, it’s told at a brisk pace and you’re in good company throughout too with some great characters. Some are larger than life, not least the fabulous Big Cyndi and there are some that are distinctly less likeable with a chameleon or two into the bargain.
As the mystery deepens, it becomes one of those good but crazy rollercoaster rides with heart in the mouth twists as a very clever perpetrator who has thus far evaded all. It’s a page turner that’s for sure, as it barrels to a very dramatic heart stopping ending which is really good.
There is a bit of repetition as a few points are hammered home, but otherwise it’s a highly immersive read.
With thanks to NetGalley, and especially to Random House UK, Cornerstone, for the much appreciated arc in return for an honest review.

As we have come to expect from any Harlan Coben thriller involving Myron Bolitar and his idiosyncratic friend Win, this is a page-turning, thrilling, twisty tale. Many of the much-loved regular characters are back, including Big Cyndi and Esperanza, along with thumbnail plot/character reminders to help those readers with failing memories (me!) and anyone reading this book as a standalone. There is humour too and a satisfying and of course convoluted story.
Another first class, classic Harlan Coben.

An addictive read where I was desperate to find out who did it. An interesting character background for the protagonist and for the cast of characters.
Worth a read, but I was a little let down by the style of the reveal and how blasé it was done, although the last bit was very good and more of what I wanted!
I didn’t guess who did it, and I guess that is a good marker of a mystery book!

Oh how I've missed reading a Myron Bolitar story... This was the first 'adult' series my parents let me read as a kid because they were clever and exciting, but didn't induce nightmares. I have read Cobens books for 10 years and will continue to do so for another 10 easily.
The way Coben portrays a modern-day serial killer is just genius. The story unfolds in such a gripping way, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very end. If you're a fan of mystery and suspense, this one's a must-read.
Coben's got this magic touch when it comes to bringing back old characters without it feeling stale. Greg and Myrons back and forth for years - and books - was always interesting and while Myron might claim he's forgiven Greg, the ending felt like the perfect closure to their long-running feud.
What I love most is how Coben lets Myron and Win age alongside their readers. It adds a whole new layer of depth to the series. Sure, you could jump into this book without knowing the backstory, but trust me, you'd be missing out big time. Start from the beginning and thank me later!

Harlan Coben is my favourite author. I've loved following Myron and Win throughout all of their adventures and this one was no different.
There's genuine comedy that shines through in the dialogue mainly with Myron and Win but with his parent and Esperanza too.
The story of this one brings bag Greg, Myron's original nemesis from way back in the day when he played state-level basketball and he carries through the whole story along with Myron's son and ex.
It's a clever plot to bring back these characters and involve them in the story. It's not the best of the Myron Bolitar books but I thoroughly enjoyed it as usual and look forward to the next Harlan Coben book whenever I can get my hands on it.
Many thanks for the ARC.

so much fun as always. somewhat less plausible than Myron and Win’s best adventures, but such a romp it barely matters

Myron Bolitar thinks his old friend, rival, and former basketball star, Greg Downing is dead. 2 FBI agents visit him to see what he knows about Greg as his DNA has been discovered at a crime scene where 2 people have been killed.
Myron and his partner, Win, decide to investigate for themselves if a clever murderer is framing a dead man.
It was an exciting read with twists and turns before a nail biting finish. I’ve only read the first in the series and this latest one so now want to go back and read them all.

Harlan Coben is an author you know is going to give you a great read and he’s done it again. Great to see Myron again and all the expected twists and turns we the reader expect from Mr Coben. Definitely recommend it.

Wow. I love Harlan Coben books but the Myron Bolitar series are my favourite. I really enjoyed this book and without saying too much the ending gave me all sorts of different feelings. I absolutely cannot wait for the next instalment.
Thanks to NetGalley for my advanced reading copy.

I enjoyed this one, I loved how fast paced it was I raced through it.
I realised quite early on that this was part of a series I hadn’t read 😂 after a google search I realised it was book 12.
If I would have known this I wouldn’t have read it without reading the others, there wasn’t much character building or background and I understand why 😂 being book 12 and all.
I wish I would have read the books in order but I did still enjoy it.

It took quite a while to be drawn into this book. I’ve not read any of the Myron Bolitar books before, which could be why I didn’t feel much love for the book initially- but by half way through I was fully engaged and reading fast.. I didn’t figure out either the killer or the final twist- so this was an enjoyable read for me in the end.
Characters were fun and I really enjoyed the strong bonds and loyalty at play here. I think I prefer the standalone books from Harlan Coben but would definitely now pick up further books from this series too.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my views.

3.5 stars
Can you believe that I've never read a Harlan Coben book before? Well, this is my first. My main negative for this book is the pace of dialogue. Literally, there was so much short, snappy speech with little to no dialogue tags so at times I had no idea who was talking. There was a lot of humour in this too, mainly coming from the narrative, which was fine, but it left me wondering who the narrator was because the writing was in third person.
Maybe I'm thinking about this too much, but it really did confuse me and really detracted from my reading experience when I had to double check who was speaking.
Despite the above, I did enjoy reading this book because the MC was likeable and intriguing. It just surprised me about the style of writing because the author is so well known. If all his books are like this then I may not try another one, just because of the pace of the dialogue was too quick for me with little to no relevance.

I've not read a Myron Bolitar book for some time so have lost track of what he and Win have been doing. However this didn't spoil my enjoyment of Think Twice.
Plenty of twists and turns as can be expected from Harlan Coben and I was kept guessing till the end.

I've not read all the Myron Bolitar books but that did not spoil this one.
It was brilliant. I love the funny banter and all the twists.
Highly recommended.

A classic Harlan novel, so if you're a fan of his work you cant go wrong with this one! It's got elements of humour and plenty of twists and turns which really keep you hooked.
Best if you've read the rest of the series, but could be read as a stand alone I think, you would just be missing some context/background.

This is actually the first Harlan Coben book I've read. I've seen several of his shows based on his books and thought they were fantastic and honestly, this book felt exactly the same as watching them.
Even though this is part of a series (Myron Bolitar), I actually gathered a lot of information from previous books on who the main characters are so even reading this as a stand-alone was so easy. The writing is great, the plot is fast-paced and sturdy with plenty of twists and turns right until the end. Loved the characters.

Another really enjoyable read by Harlan Coben. This time it’s Myron Bolitar who has to work out what’s going on and trying not to get himself killed. He is ably assisted ( but sometimes hampered) by his best friend and colleague Winn. This is a really fast paced, almost gravity defying read at times, with a large cast, but plenty of twists and turns, and an unexpected ending. Myron is a really likeable character, given to a bit of introversion, self doubt definitely but with a very quick mind. He’s too honest for his own good too, at times, especially where it comes to his family and very close friends. Recommended.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This is the twelfth novel in the series but it can be read as a standalone novel. Myron Bolitar is a high profile ex basketball player/ sports agent/ attorney who resides in New York. He is visited by the FBI after a former client, Greg Downing’s DNA was found at a double murder scene. Greg supposedly died 3 years ago - Myron attended the funeral and gave the eulogy. Myron needs to find out if Greg is actually dead so he and his companion Win set out to discover if Greg really did die and why his DNA is at the murder scene.
I enjoyed this novel. The plot is full of twists and turns as secrets and lies are uncovered. As the characters are 12 books into the series they know and get on well together hence the humour in the dialogue. I wasn’t keen on the novel changing from the third to the first person a few chapters in but that is a personal preference.

I really enjoy Harlan Coben’s books and was I delighted to receive a copy of his new Book Think Twice.
This story had everything, action, adventure, murder, friendship and a great storyline.
I can wait for his next book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
