Fast-moving mystery thriller -captivating stuff.

Myron Bolitar, along with his usual helpers, becomes embroiled in a murder investigation which becomes increasingly personal on many levels. There’s a bit of a body count, lots of topical issues and plenty of surprises and revelations.
Unsurprisingly it’s engaging and has its occasional lighter moments. Well worth a look but, although it can stand alone, the previous books add more context. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Think Twice has quite a complicated plot (not unusual for Harlan Coben) and sees the return of Myron Bolivar, a solid, likeable character. The story line is well teased out and there are suitably placed twists and turns to keep the tension high. Having said that, however, there are too many repetitive explanations of the relationships between Myron and one of the suspects and also between Myron and his son which only serve to detract from the enjoyment of the story. The highly unlikeable, arrogant and near-psychotic Win also makes too many appearances for my liking, usually to supply a deus ex machine to move the plot along or to perform an act of gratuitous cruelty. As always, Coben leaves me part-entertained and part frustrated.
I received an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

How can the DNA of a man who’s been dead for three years suddenly show up at a murder scene? How indeed! The premise for Think Twice is classic Coben and, as you would expect from the master of the hook and twist, you should strap yourself in and prepare for a wild ride. Packed full of twists, action, humour and unforgettable characters, this is a fast, easy read that you’ll binge in a couple of days. It also heralds the return of Coben’s much-loved series character Myron Bolitar. I’m more familiar with the author’s standalone books but I’ll now be checking out the other Myron books for sure.

Gorgeous. It's like cuddling up on the sofa under your favourite duvet, deeply enjoying another chapter in the lives of Myron and Win. Their camaderie, humour and 'take no prisoners' mindset is a joy to read. Myron books aren't just books to read, they're an experience to savour, a pleasure to hold onto and a thrilling ride all at the same time. Please can we have a new chapter every year or two. I'd love to see them as a duo on the big screen. That's rare for me to say as I nearly always prefer the original books to TV/cinema adaptions. Thank you Harlen for another riveting, rollercoaster read.

Another in the Myron Bolitar series but it works perfectly well as a stand alone.
Myron is a sports agent and when the DNA of an ex client, Greg Downing, is found at a murder scene Myron and his close friend Win start to investigate. Myron is good at solving problems - and he will need to be here as Greg is supposed to have died three years previously. It soon becomes even more complicated as it appears that a whole series of murders are actually linked.
This is an intricately woven and clever plot. Harlan Corben writes in a particular style which I find a little off putting at times but still enjoyed his book!

As you would expect from any book by Harlan Coben nothing is straight forward. This is a great plot and I couldn’t guess who the killer was, having said that the ending particularly seemed rather rushed hence only three stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and Random House publishers for this ARC

I do like a Harlan Coben book. The familiar characters, the pace and the humour are all here as expected. Myron is told by the FBI that his client's DNA has been found at a murder scene. The twist being his client - Greg - apparantly died a few years before. Oh, and he might be a serial killer. It's enjoyable, and the killer's identity was a suprise to me. I raced through it but I don't feel that this is the best of the series. It was a little repetetive in parts and I didn't buy the killers motivation or how the FBI managed to link the cases. Having said that, it was still entertaining..

Myron and Win find out their dead client’s DNA has been found at the site of a murder and start investigating the possibility he is still alive. Unearthing a serial killer in the process, the duo find themselves in the middle of a complicated case.

From the start, this is explosive and action packed with lots going on. Fast paced and peppered with humour (Myron’s parents had me laughing out loud), this book had me constantly turning the pages. There’s some great twists and turns along the way.

This would be well suited to a Netflix adaptation, something Coben is a king at!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House for my advanced copy.

Although this will be Book 12 in the series, it’s the first Myron Bolitar book for me. Having read Coben’s standalone stories and really enjoyed them, I thought this would appeal. Unfortunately it was not to my taste.

I will definitely be in the minority here, as I know what a huge following this series has, but to me it seemed extremely repetitive, with the same explanations given over and over. When the plot was moving along it was well written and I did enjoy the humour, though not the sarcasm, and I especially liked Win, but that didn’t carry the story, and I found it a bit of a slog at times. I think a tighter edit is needed to get rid of all the filler.

Back to the standalones for me!

Thank you NetGalley and Random House.

As any of Harlan Coben’s books this one did not disappoint. Great array of twists and turns, exciting and gripping plot. I’d recommend this book to anyone that likes page turning books full of surprises. I’ve read it in one seat as I just couldn’t stop. Great work

I was thrilled to be given the chance to read the ARC of Think Twice. I'm a huge Harlen Coben fan. This book is brilliant, a really clever plot and an interesting end. I'm looking forward to his next book already

Yet another cracking read from Harlan . Myron Bolitar and his partner Win are dragged into investigating a murder after the DNA of his former client Greg is found at a murder scene. Greg died 3 years earlier so what is happening. ? Greg has a connection to the victim but it seems rather spurious , but then his DNA is found at another scene. There is a tip off about connections to other killings now being called the "Frame up murders". Various people have been convicted of these murders but is there too much obvious evidence in all these cases. There are lots of surprises and twists as the story unfolds opening up new revelations between Greg and Myron and their son Jeremy.

I had forgotten just how good Harlan Coben is. I was completely addicted and I bloody love Myron Bolitar! The storyline was gripping and it felt like being amongst old friends. I shed a little tear with that perfect final page!

The premise was interesting and the pacing good, each time a plot or revelation was made, the next thing was quick to follow and it pulled my interest along like a dog on a lead.

I loved the humour. I liked that we explored Win and Myron's relationship a little more than I remember from previous books and that elements from the Win series were subtly interwoven.

I found it repetitive at times, both in terms of the writing and the plot. The writing had the same words used repeatedly (once one person said tangentially they all used it on repeat) I'm sure a few times I read whole sentences that had come before.
Plot wise, because it tied in with Myron's past so heavily there was a lot of recap and repetition. If I read about Myron and Greg being enemies on court/Greg being Myron's downfall/staring each other down on court etc or Myron and Emily and the proposal/chemistry. Jeremy calling Greg Dad, and Myron being okay/not okay and explaining the relationships... Once to provide context was enough, twice to hammer home one point somewhere in the book, acceptable. But it was almost every time that these characters were in a room together. It was these repetitive sections that took away from the main plot.

Overall, I enjoyed it, and maybe it will be edited again before the final release to fine tune some of the syntax etc

Five well deserved stars 🌟

I've read lots of Harlen Coben books before but none with Mylon and Win. I will definitely be reading more of them now. I loved both of there characters both very witty and loved the banter between them both. The book started off very fast paced but I struggled a little bit half way through but I put that down to me being distracted and my mood. Once I got back into it after reading a few more chapters I was hooked again a real page turner. I was guessing all the way through and it all came together very clever, and I loved it. Harlen Coben does it once again with another fantastic read. So thankful that I could receive an Arc from netgalley to review one of my many favourite authors.

5 well deserved stars 🌟

Another gripping page-turner from Harlan Coben. Yes, the characters are unbelievable, and yes, the plot (whilst clever) is preposterous, but that doesn't matter. Harlan Coben knows what works, and what people like, and his books never disappoint, which is why I (and many many others) are such fans.

After too long away, the gangs back Myron,Win,Esperance, and Big Cindi, reminding us what we've been missing. I was very excited to be able to read this new book from Harlan Coben. It's filled as always with twists and turns, humour, and a gripping storyline.
The friendship between Myron and Win is for me one of the best in a book series,Wins sarcasm is, as usual, on point, and Myron's phone conversations with his parents are hilarious.
The killer has a few chapters from their point of view, which made the tension build nicely.
The ending was a really worrying moment (no spoilers, you'll have to read to find out)
A brilliant read just hope we don’t have to wait to long to catch up with the main characters again.
Thanks to Netgalley and Random House UK for the ARC.

This book was a total page-turner!

I devoured it in a day and a half, utterly unable to set it aside. I had no idea that it was part of a series when I requested the ARC, but it’s no surprise the characters were so incredibly well-developed, each with a distinct personality that drew me in immediately and their history was like the cherry on top.
The humor injected into the dialogue gave it a lively pace, and I couldn't get enough. The creepy killer's POV kept me guessing until the last moment.

I'm dying for a sequel but I know it’d probably be years away if ever. So I’ll just cherish this book as a standalone for now.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House UK for the digital ARC!

Embarrassed to say, up until this point I had never read any of Harlan Cobens books 😩 I know I know absolutely appalling and something that is massively going to change! Having watched Shelter I decided to start looking at the books and came across this book first and WOW I have been missing out on a fantastic author who knows how to write a story! No spoiler's from me but this book has kept me entertained at every page and annoyed that I’ve only just started to read these books. I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of unravelling a mystery and if like me you’ve read a book out of synch to the others not to worry as it’s a brilliant stand alone story. Now please excuse me whilst I go to download all the other books I’ve not read yet!!!
