Beautifully written, thoroughly engrossing thriller that has been researched deeply. and expertly written to deliver a suspense filled book.
How can a man who’s already dead be wanted for murder? This is the question sports agent Myron Bolitar asks himself when two FBI agents visit him in New York. The man they are looking for is Myron’s former client and rival, Greg Downing. Greg’s DNA has been found at the scene of a high profile double-murder, and he is now the FBI’s main suspect.

But Greg died three years previously, Myron says. He went to his funeral and gave the eulogy. The FBI are disbelieving, and Myron knows he has to find some answers – and quickly. Could Greg Downing still be alive? The more Myron and his close friend Win dig into what really happened, the more dangerous their world becomes .
This is only the second book that I've read by this author. The first was "Fade Away", which was the third book in the series and here we are with the twelfth and I looked at the third again and noticed that the same characters are mentioned including Greg Downing. I think I was put off reading more of these books by the proliferation of sport terminology. I'm British and my unfamiliarity with American sport terminology and the slang used in these circles limited my full enjoyment of the book but ignoring that it was a very much a page turner sort of book and found that I was intrigued by these characters once again and I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it most strongly.. Many thanks to the publisher fand netgalley for the ARC.

This is the first time I managed to read a Myron Bolitar book and it is already the 12th! Not having read the previous ones in the series had me a little confused about the background of situation-ships between Myron and the Downing couple, but I think there is enough déjà vu provided in the story to catch up. That is probably one reason that the book is a tad bit lengthy.
Nonetheless, Myron seemed to be an intriguing choice for a part time detective with all his struggles in life. In parts, he gave off quite the Lincoln Lawyer vibe as well. Having read the book though, I can safely say now that I am here for the serial killer plot. Didn't like the climax though; it seemed a little shoddily put together.
Not a bad one though, do read if you like a slow burn thriller-drama.

Another great Harlan Corbin book
A gripping storyline with great characters and a brilliant twist at the end!
I've read a few Harlan Corbin books and although this was a great read some of his other books had me more enthralled. But still a good book
Thank you netgalley

As a Harlen Coben fan, I was really looking forward to this next instalment of the Myron Bolitar and Win series.
The trademark pace and page turning was there, but maybe [just maybe] this book had too many twists and turns to make it as enjoyable read as usual, and, I had to turn back a few times to remind myself of the complex plot making it a bit disjointed.
Overall enjoyable, but a tighter arc of the story would have been preferable.
Thank you to netgalley and Random House for an advance copy of this book
3.5 rounded up to 4

I have not read this series before although I love the author’s stand alone books. I think this book would gain something from being read as part of a series however it was still very enjoyable on its own.

I love the character of Win especially.

The story follows Myron and Win as they try to solve a murder. The start is slightly confusing but all slowly becomes clear.

A gripping storyline that deals with old rivalries, fake deaths and possible serial killers. Will they uncover the truth?

4.5⭐

I must confess it's been quite a while since I last read a Harlen Coben novel and I've never had the pleasure of 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑻𝒘𝒊𝒄𝒆 protagonist Myron Bolitar.

Until now.

But after finishing this utterly complex, red herring filled, hard to put down story I will definitely be remedying that!!

As Think Twice sees Myron learn Greg a dead client of his, DNA has turned up at a fresh murder scene.

And one question arises. How?

Well, Myron is determined to find out. But what he discovers leaves him hurt and hell-bent on finding out the truth...

Is Greg really a killer?

And as the story unfolds. The suspense brilliantly builds. As the majority of chapters are told from Myron's point of view.

However, Harlen has also cleverly added intermittent chapters where you are allowed to delve into the killer's perspective, and with each new layer the story just becomes more intriguing and exciting to read. And I genuinely had no chance of figuring out who the killer was.

And with such realistic and flawed characters. Whose banter just made me giggle. This truly was a page-turner!! That I'd happily recommend to all.

I love Harlan Coben books and I love his Myron Bolitar series so was excited to read this one. There were lots of twists and turns but it flowed well and all tied together nicely at the end. This is another great addition to the series and I hope there is more to come

This is the 12th Myron Bolitar book. It does work as a standalone, but I would advise reading earlier books too, simply because they're good reads!

Think Twice is a great thriller that doesn't ignore the fact that Myron and win are getting older. When Myron finds out that former rival and client Greg is wanted for murder, he's surprised - Greg is dead, he read a eulogy at the funeral three years previous. Can Myron and Win figure out what is happening, and do it fast before their lives are caught up in the web of a serial killer?

I've read a lot of Harlen Coben's books, and this one was up there with some of my favourites - I laughed and I cried, a sign I've really enjoyed a thriller!

This is a great mystery thriller.
Sports agent, Myron Bolitar, is left shocked and confused when two FBI agents arrive asking questions about his former client, Greg Downing.
Greg’s DNA was found at the scene of a double-murder, and he is now the FBI’s main suspect. Myron can't understand it as Greg Downing died three years ago and he attended his funeral.
Myron works together with Win to try and work out how Greg could possibly be involved in the murders, but this soon turns into a dangerous task.
This is a great mystery thriller that I really enjoyed.
Thanks to Random House UK and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

would like to thank netgalley and the publishers for letting me read this jaw dropping book

well where to start with this one.... oh man i cried with this book actual tears....

serial killers and murders that is what this book is about and how the fbi were bamboozled by a serial killer....

the work of this serial killer is different though... the murder still happens but the perp is also the victim as they have been set up by the serial killer.... and it works so well that numerous people are sat in jail for something that they didnt commit....

and nobody has a clue....

myron and win are involved as someone close to them has been framed for a murder and that person when the fbi come calling is dead..so how can a dead man commit a murder.... its a conundrum.... but one that myron and win will work on

but did i say i cried at this book... big tears... man they were so unexpected... but this book is compelling and once started i couldnt put it down apart from going to work...

now i need a moment to get over this book but its worth it as any book by this author is worth a moment

Can a dead man really be wanted for murder? Can a dead man leave his DNA at a crime scene three years after his death? In Think Twice these are conundrums running through Myron Bolitar’s mind as he finds out his former client and basketball rival, Greg, is being hunted for murder despite Myron giving a eulogy at his funeral three years earlier.

This is the first book I have read by Harlan Coben, but I had seen some tv adaptations so I was over the moon to receive and arc copy. I was however left disappointed, I found the writing style a little amateurish, I couldn’t stand reading lines like “ah man” especially not coming from the mouths of rich well educated men.
This being said though I still found it to be a great story, with so many well thought out twists it kept me guessing right up to the big reveal, I got the wrong person with my guessing.
I didn’t find myself sympathising with any of the characters either, but I believe this is because the character development happened in a previous book in the series. Not reading the previous books did not effect the understanding of the storyline, it just took the character development away.
I would recommend the book to a younger audience, maybe late 20’s

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced reading copy.

This is my first Harlan Coben novel. I finished it in a day. I am on holiday with a husband that wanted to go out and explore. I told him ‘enjoy’ because I wanted to finish my book.

Things you should know:

• It turns out that this is #12 in a series but that doesn’t matter.
• This is a writer who knows his characters intimately and is fond of them (so we like them too - Mazeltov!)
• He also has the ability to differentiate between narrative voices (yippee!)
• I’d seen some of the Netflix series but either those novels are written in a different style or are scripted by someone who doesn’t understand the lift that humour brings because I laughed out loud at some parts of this book.

I highly recommend this, it’s fast-paced, entertaining and you don’t see the end coming (finally, 🙏🏻)!

With thanks to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for an arc of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

It was always going to be good, as every book Harlan coben writes is! Devoured in a day, written with such pace with twists and turns to find out what comes next. Familiar characters Win and Myron but perhaps missing a bit of the witty banter that there usually is. However an excellent read and wish every book enthralled me this way!!!

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for this e-arc.

DNF @ 45%, just found myself uninterested in the story and finding it difficult to pick up, maybe it's because I haven't read any previous in the Myron books before?

I do like Harlan, but this one isn't for me.

Like others I didn't realise until the end that this was part of a series! I had no issues following along and have in fact downloaded some samples of the series as I enjoyed it!

This book kept me guessing until the end, I thought I had it figured out 3/4 of the way through but I was wrong!

I enjoyed the style of writing and will definitely pick up some more of the authors work.

I love the Myron Bolitar/Win Lockwood series and gosh it’s been a long time (2016) since Harlan Coben gave us a new one, though we have had a book solely focused on Win. (2021). So Think Twice is eagerly anticipated and it does not disappoint, even if Harlan Coben is now giving us intimations of mortality as he shows us his characters growing older.

Myron Bolitar is a sports agent, coming out of retirement. His best friend, Windsor Horne Lockwood III is very rich and very, very ruthless. Win would go to the ends of the earth to protect Myron. Myron is Win’s moral conscience; a good man with honest intentions.

Greg Downing is dead. Myron Bolitar knows that because he spoke at his funeral. So when two FBI agents show up to see him in New York, claiming to have found Greg’s DNA at a murder scene, Myron can’t make any sense of it. Myron and Greg had a complicated relationship. Greg was a client of Myron’s, but their personal relationship was clouded by a lot of personal complications; ending Myron’s basketball career in the process.

When Greg died, Myron put all that away, but it is clear that the FBI don’t believe that Greg is dead and when Myron and Win begin to look into the murders to determine whether Greg is alive, they find themselves drawn into a whole heap of trouble.

Cecilia Callister, a former supermodel and her 30-year-old son Clay are the victims and Greg Downing’s DNA has been found under her fingernails. As it turns out, Win knew Cecilia Callister and when he and Win start to look for Greg Downing, they find themselves in the midst of a series of murders which look to have some similarities which no-one could have spotted before.

While the perspectives are mainly Myron and Win’s, Coben gives us enough of the killer’s point of view to whet our interest and make us astonished at how this clever and devilish murderer gets away with it.

Coben delivers his usual fast paced, complex thriller complete with his trademark witty dialogue, and especially Win’s caustic humour. I was particularly taken with the Las Vegas mobster, ‘Joey the Toe’ whose pincers end up poised over Myron’s sockless foot with evil intent in his eyes.

This is also, however, a more reflective book which uses Myron’s ageing parents to show the family relationships, the impact of ageing on Myron’s relationship with his parents – some of which is humorous and some both tender and poignant. Coben also explores the father- son relationships and what family really means.

Because while Myron has his parents and a son; his family is also Win, Esperanza and Big Cyndi and it is delightful to have them all feature in this splendid reunion tale.

With loads of twists and turns and some astonishing revelations, Think Twice is a book well worth waiting for. It may not be without the odd subterfuge here and there, but it is packed with tension, pace and surprises. Most of all, for fans of this series, it is magic to have Myron and Win back in the game and raring to go. I loved it.

Totally unaware that this book is part of a series. I read it as a standalone and had no trouble following the storyline.
Great story with twists and turns as expected from Harlen Coben.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

I was unaware that this was part of a series but had no problem reading it as a standalone.
Thoroughly enjoyable read with many twists that you come to expect from a Harlan Coben book, didn't even see some of the twists coming and I must admit, I didn't even guess "who done it", very cleverly written.
Definitely worth reading.

Thank you to Random House UK, Cornerstone, Netgalley and Harlan Coben for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Harlan Coben is a household name in creating thrillers that grip you from the word go, and reading his novels is just as thrilling as watching them on TV. Think Twice returns to the world of sports agent Myron Bolitar and his sidekick Win. Two FBI agents turn up on Myron's doorstep looking for information on the lead suspect in their latest murder investigation - trouble is, that suspect died three years earlier.

As Myron and Win seek out the truth, they uncover a whole host of mystery, deception and links between the seemingly unconnected. In typical Coben style, you can never second guess the answer, or indeed what is going to happen next!

Stepping into Harlan Coben land is always a treat, and Think Twice doesn't disappoint. It's both a delight to meet Myron and Win again, and also a teaser to see which main Coben character is going to be next in the thick of the action.
