Two exes book the same trip up to the Yukon to see the Northern lights. It’s sure to be a chilly time.

Avery’s boyfriend breaks up with her the night before they’re supposed to travel up to the Yukon for a wilderness adventure. Wouldn’t it just be her luck that she’s paired up with the only other solo traveler on this trip: her ex-girlfriend Summer.

I had a good time with this, though I did find it wildly formulaic, which isn’t always a bad thing. Because this book is from Avery’s POV, we get a good look into her head, get to see how she feels about her ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend all in one go. The downside of this is that we don’t get too much about Summer and I would have LOVED more Summer. And a little more tension when the third act unfolded.

All in all, this was a quick, fun read.

It is amazing how our lives change over time, we can love and lose it, love again, maybe even with the same person. Our fears can change rapidly or be dragged on for ever. This story manages to bring two souls together that should have never parted. Tiana Warner has scripted a true winner with this book, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!

I love me some sapphic romance, so of course, this book was a very anticipated read. I'm very happy to report that it lived up to my expectations with just right amount of angst. Exes to lovers is always such a delicious dynamic to explore and the author did a wonderful job. The writing was very engaging and kept me hooked from start to end. A very good read to just cozy up with.

Avery has looked forward to the trip of her lifetime ever since high school. A wilderness adventure to the Yukon to experience the Northern Lights during the equinox. Nine years later the Yukon provides the Lights with a surprise from her past.

This is a second chance romance that contains some of the Yukon’s specialties, dog sledding, ice fishing and cute Husky pups. The story also includes moments of intense dialogue between Avery and Summer as they dissect their past, present and futures.

Snowed in with Summer is an enjoyable light read set in the cold but beautiful vastness of the Yukon.

If you had planned a vacation to the Yukon in a touring jammed packed full of activities and your partner dumps you the night before, would you still go?
This is what happens to Avery and she decides she was the one who planned it, why not still do it. What she didn't plan on was seeing her high school ex in the same group she is in. She tries to hide identity for as long as she can, but then Summer sees her. And they are both solo travelers, so they are paired together in the same yurt.
They decide to get along and realize that nothing is as it seems and neither are the feelings resurfacing after all this time.
I would recommend.

A heartfelt and intense romance

Avery is excited to finally going to that winter trip to the Yukon. Or at least she was, before her boyfriend dumped her the day before. But since it's a couple retreat, she's paired with the only other solo traveler: her ex-girlfriend from high school Summer. The reason they broke up: Summer is spontaneous and doesn't have time for relationships while Avery likes to plan everything in advance. But now that they're stuck in a yurt together, Avery isn't so sure their different ways of living can't still work together...

I adored this book from start to finish. Avery is such a disaster, I very much related to her and how she tried her best to work with what life gave her. The story was beautiful and unfolded smoothly page after page, with an addictive writing style that kept me hooked. I really enjoyed the trip the characters had, I felt like I was there in the snow with them. And the huskies!!! I adored them and how the author implemented them to the story wonderfully. Summer stole my heart the second Avery first saw her and I loved rooting for them throughout the book. The spice was on point and quite HOT, which I really enjoyed. All in all, it was an amazing sapphic romcom.

I highly recommand this amazing romance that will steal your heart!

"My heart tugs in her direction, and I yank it back. I hate how she still has this effect on me."

If you're looking for a heartwarming and romantic read that will keep you hooked until the last page, "Snowed in with Summer" by Tiana Warner is the book for you. The story follows Avery, who has planned a winter excursion to the Yukon, which includes dog sledding, ice fishing, and seeing the Northern Lights. However, her excitement is crushed when her boyfriend breaks up with her the night before the trip. To make matters worse, she is paired up with her ex-girlfriend from high school, Summer, who is also traveling solo.

Avery is a planner, while Summer lives a carefree and spontaneous life. Though they had a relationship in the past, it ended badly, and they both believe that there is no point in rekindling it. However, when they find themselves stuck together in a tiny yurt, and forced to partner up for activities, they must find a way to get along.

As they spend more time together, Avery and Summer begin to discover that their feelings for each other have not completely faded away. Amidst all the ice and snow, they find a flame that was never extinguished. The book is a perfect blend of romance, humor and adventure, with well-developed characters that you will grow to love.

Overall, "Snowed in with Summer" is a delightful read that will tug at your heartstrings and leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. It's a story about second chances, forgiveness and the power of love, set against the stunning backdrop of the Yukon wilderness.

This is my second book by Tiana Warner. The atmosphere created by the author in this book is adventurous, sexy, a bit cold and chilling, and most importantly scenic. When I was reading the book I came to the point where I had to keep the book aside and look for the place. The green light real-time observation is a dream that I wanted to live and I experienced second-hand by reading this book.

This is a second-chance love story between the MCs who were friends 7 years back and also a lover. They met again during a 'promise to each other trip in the past' group travel trip and romance began. The romance was a bit off-kilter between the two MCs. I felt a little awkward due to the struggles, and challenges faced by them in their past. At certain places in the book, the emotions portrayed by them seemed forced. But, overall, the book is fresh and deals with some coming out of the closet to the world story and especially to parents. It was nice to see one of the MCs is a regular white female character.

I would recommend this book to those who want a light-hearted, low-angst story along with a pack of adventure.

3.5 stars rounded up. Snowed in with Summer is a snowy Christmas queer romance, following Avery who is embarking on a suddenly solo holiday to Yokon after her boyfriend breaks up with her right before the trip they’re meant to be taking together. There, she is paired with Summer, her ex who broke up with her to travel the world. Anger and hurt fuels the beginning of their reconnection, before softening and bonding over their holiday adventures.

This was a quick and easy read, and comes full circle with airports prompting lots of decisions. I would've preferred to see more of the romance between Avery and Summer - why should I root for them beyond nostalgia and lust? I enjoyed the side characters, if only quite minor, and the supportive friendship group that Avery had. Her parents and dog were also a lovely touch, and helped Avery along her journey. Overall, this would be a cute, easy read for over the festive period (although Christmas is only mentioned a couple of times, the snowy setting also felt appropriate for the season). Thank you to netgalley for the arc.

A really fun second chance romance adventure!

The last person Avery expected to run into while finally going on her excursion to Yukon is her ex, Summer, especially after her boyfriend has just dumped her. As the two solo travellers, they end up paired together, but getting close again doesn’t seem like a good idea to Avery, especially with Summer being the nomad she is.

Loved this so much! At first I wondered what Avery was going to discover while on her excursion, and I did feel sorry for her given what had happened with her boyfriend, but as soon as it became clear who Summer was and why Avery was on edge about her being there, I was excited for where this might lead. It was instantly obvious that they shared a special connection, and that it was going to be so easy for Avery to fall into old habits because Summer was so upbeat and infectious.

They were on this excursion with such a colourful cast of characters, who all made the experience special and unique. Which was made even more special for us as the reader because Tiana really had described all the activities and the setting in such a way that you could feel part of it and have an immersive experience. As Summer and Avery began to reconnect, I hoped they’d find a way to maybe make things work as they really did bring the best out in each other, and dared one another to dream.

As with all second-chance romances, this wasn’t without its ups and downs, tense moments, and drama, but they were all worth it for the magical experience and connection Avery and Summer have! Hope we’ll get to join them on more adventures in the future.

This is a sweet and cute story with forced proximity and second chance. The setting is nice, the scenery sounds fantastic but the story lacks a little bit of originality for me. I enjoyed it but had hopes for more to be honest.

The light-hearted tone of the book still managed to effectively convey the depth of emotion between Avery and Summer. The author did great work portraying the ways in which assumptions, fear, and a teenage lack of perspective and inability communicate effectively wrecked their relationship the first time around. I liked that neither Avery nor Summer did anything egregiously wrong at the end of their initial relationship; sometimes second-chance romances hinge on something unforgivable (to me, anyway), and the author has deftly avoided that but still made their break-up believable. There is also a very strong sense of place in this book, the setting is unique and well described. I enjoyed this book but I would like to see the author develop a more unique and individual voice for future stories.

This was a sweet, second chance romance. It was well written and characters were developed. Only critique is that it was predictable.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Being dumped by her boyfriend right before a couples vacation to Yukon to see the northern lights only to be met with the ex-girlfriend she hadn’t seen in years; and now is expecting to share a yurt with for the next week.

This was a wholesome second chance romance that was awkward and charmingly cute all at the same time. The setting to this was quite lovely too. I genuinely really enjoyed all the mentions of Yukon and the travels in general some of the characters had. The characters in general were planned out well. They were detailed and had flaws and were of course, lovable.

Snowed in with Summer follows Avery, an event planner that was suppose to go to the Yukon for vacation with her boyfriend, but instead finds herself going solo after being dumped the day before. To make the vacation even better, Avery finds herself enjoying her vacation with her ex girlfriend, Summer, as one of the other 3 people on the tour with Avery. After some awkward first encounters, including having to share a yurt together (sadly no one bed situation), Avery and Summer come to a truce and Avery started to enjoy her vacation. And maybe Summers company.

This is my second book by Warner, and I have enjoyed their writing. The other book was also a contemporary romance, and both are cute with happy warm feelings. I like Avery and her friend group that she keeps in touch with on her trip. Avery struggles through her break up with her boyfriend as well as her breakup to Summer, years previously. Which naturally leads to her come to turns with her own goals and dreams. I really liked this journey and liked the use of the vacation and isolated location, to expedite the process. It felt a bit more natural. The end felt a bit fast. The vacation was coming to an end and the book was 98% finished but they hadn't sorted their happily ever after. So, I wish there was more after the vacation.

All in all, I enjoyed this romance and would recommend it for fans of contemporary romances and second chance romacnes.

Thank you YLVA and NetGalley for an ARC

I love a good second chance romance. Snowed in with Summer is a great quick read with a wintertime trope. After Avery has been dumped by her ex boyfriend right as they were leaving for a trip of a lifetime, she decides to pack up and make the journey on her own. She expected a joyful experience by working on herself. But to her surprise, the trip is (what she thinks) ruined by the first love of her life, Summer. They both planned the same trip unbeknownst to each other and try to make the best of it. The question is will Avery get the answers she’s been longing from their horrible breakup? Will she find herself on this trip and focus on her wellbeing?

The details are carefully thought out in this book. The location (Yukon) and every activity really made me feel like I was there with them. It provides insight into Avery’s mind along with realizing she should stay true to herself and what she wants out of life but also getting that true emotion from her partner. There are a lot of ups and downs, and I was quite emotional through the entire book, but otherwise so sweet. I’d like to see a POV from summer, along with a follow up on a few other supporting characters In the future!

Thank you, NetGalley and Ylva Publishing for allowing me the opportunity to read this beauty of an ARC.

I for thé most part enjoyed this second chance romance story. The holiday destination and the aim to see the Northern Lights sounds wonder and indeed romantic. Perhaps the reason this lost a star was that we only had Avery’s POV and she was over thinking everything, whilst Summer appeared to forever changing her mind. Running hot and cold, giving mixed signals (a ploy to add some drama no,doubt) when made it difficult to like her character a bit.

To be dumped by your partner just before a romantic holiday and yet almost forget them within twenty four hours because of an old flame felt too quick. It was a nice enough story and had some interesting supporting characters that certainly added to the story.

A sweet enough story to read in front of a fire.
