Since i read 2 books of this author already, i was super exited to get this book via netgally (thanks for that). This book by Tiana Warner is as expected very well written, i just love her way of writing, discribing situations and places. This book takes us to the Yukon, which was also very exiting since traveling is my passion and i have never been there. We met Avery and Summer who by chance are on the same small group tour. Avery just got dumped by her boyfriend and after desiding to love her dream and still go on this trip, the last thing she needed was to see her ex-girlfriend - the one that got away...or was it?!
Its a really enjoyable ride along with these 2 woman who discover their second chance while living their dream. I loved to discover the place both ladies went to, the adventures they did, and i overall loved the book. i just missed a tiny bit of the sparke that i had with the last 2 books that made me wanna read in one go, that made it impossible for me to turn of my light to sleep before I finished reading.

A well-written book, both main characters were flawed but still worthy. Second chance stories can be tricky because it requires a certain amount of realism which can make a romance challenging. After all, they broke up once, how are we going to work this out? It was well thought out and moved pretty seamlessly with a unique take on having each MC find their way.

Very cute story. It was nothing special however it was well structured and well written. Not sure it would be the first winter read id rec but it’s good none the less.

3.5 stars! Tiana Warner takes readers to the Yukon to witness the Northern Lights during the Winter solstice with Avery and Summer who have a history. Warner did a lovely job of providing vivid details about the majestic landscape. I could easily visualize the compound with its beautiful log cabin, yurts, and area for 97 huskies. The moose, frozen lakes, snowcapped tundra, and our characters dressed in a zillion layers were all vivid. The freezing temperatures outside and the characters' reactions often made me feel the chill. Warner's breezy dialogue with bits of humor added another layer to my enjoyment. Avery's first-person point of view is well-written and I enjoyed being privy to all of her thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

Getting dumped by her boyfriend the night before they were set to leave on their Yukon adventure was not part of Avery's plan, nor was having her ex-girlfriend Summer a part of the trip she decided to attend anyway. Summer and Avery's first few interactions are contentious, and rightfully so. Summer dumped Avery because she wanted to travel the world. Slowly, Avery began to thaw and the two could really talk. Old feelings bubble to the surface while they learn who the other has become after almost a decade apart.

It's clear from the first moment that the connection between Avery and Summer is still there after all the time apart. The stolen glances, the little touches, and the smiles were all perfectly placed. As they spent more time together the tension ramped up and the two downright sizzled! Warner definitely knows how to bring on the steam!

Avery's reflections on her behaviors during relationships led her to come to terms with who she allowed herself to become. Adventure and spontaneity were two elements that were pivotal to her and over time fell by the wayside. Her character growth and development were a highlight for me.

Snowed in With Summer is a sweet second chance romance set among the picturesque Alaskan wilderness with delightful main characters, quirky supporting characters, and adorable sled dogs. Grab your beverage of choice, situate yourself in front of the fire, and enjoy this lovely story!

Perfectly fine winter/holiday romance.
This is a bit of a second chance romance and while that trope is one of my favourites it’s rarely executed well. And this is no different. I mostly stuck in there for the setting. The Yukon at winter solstice? Sign me up!

DNF at 20%
Snowed in with Summer sounded like a fun sapphic romance, that I was looking forward to read.. Unfortunately while I think the book has potential the writing style felt awkward and I ended up DNF at 20%

Thank you Netgalley for the arc

Sweet second chance romance that is just as cute as the cover looks. Avery Graham goes on a winter travel experience in the Yukon Territory. She was supposed to go with her boyfriend of two years but he breaks up with her just before the trip. The location is remote and the guest number is few. Avery is stunned to see Summer Joshi. They grew up together and were each other's first loves. They only split up when finishing college. Summer wanted to travel the world and Avery was starting a new job and putting down roots.

I love the location and activities. Staying in a yurt, looking for northern lights, riding a dog-sled, and going ice-fishing. Avery and Summer are able to talk about their pasts. Everything is from Avery’s POV so you get to know and understand her more. She has to self search and see how she changes for the people that she is involved with . You get the gist of Summer’s insecurities but I felt there was more I was missing. Everything happens for the most part in a short week. That works with second chance romances as the characters are already very family with each other. I thought this was entertaining and enjoyable. Thank you to Ylva Publishing for the ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

This was a cute story, a quick read in a magical setting up in Yukon with Northern Lights and dog sledding and ice fishing, and a second chance romance which is always fun. Great writing, good character development and fun side characters.

3.5 Avery gets dumped right before a trip to the Yukon and ends up on a trip with her ex girlfriend Summer. Summer dumped Avery when they were 18 to travel the world free of commitment. If you like forced proximity and a second chance romance, this book is for you. Even though the story and side character were exciting, I feel as if all was forgiven WAY too easily.

Snowed in with Summer is a lovely story about losing people in your life and reconnecting again.
Avery gets dumped and decides she will go on her trip by herself unbeknown to her Summer a past love is at the retreat alone too. There is a lot of soul searching in this book and the characters work well together. And lots of dogs for the cute factor! A lovely read. Thankyou for advanced copy.

"Snowed in with Summer" is a really enjoyable romance about old flames Avery and Summer reuniting on a winter trip to the Yukon. The dog sledding and snowmobiling provide a fun backdrop to see if sparks will fly again. Strong character development. I appreciated Avery and Summer examining how their values would work in a relationship. Recommended.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own.
Tiana Warner once again delivers a sweet sapphic treat with Snowed In with Summer. What begins as an awkward reunion between exes slowly transitions into a tender second chance romance.
Avery is very relatable throughout, and I immediately for her when her boyfriend dumped her right when they were about to leave for their trip to the Yukon, meaning she’s stuck alone on a couples’ trip. And then, if things couldn’t get worse, the only other solo person there is her ex, Summer.
I really liked the interplay between the two, with them being very much opposites, a factor that played a role in their initial breakup. But I loved seeing Avery come to learn more about herself through reconnecting with Summer, with Summer awakening the adventurer within her. While I did feel like the story was a little lacking at times due to the sole focus on Avery’s POV, there is a sense that the adventurous Summer was also missing something she ultimately found by reuniting with Avery.
I really enjoyed this, and would recommend it if you enjoy sapphic romance, especially with the second chance and forced proximity/snowed-in together tropes.

Snowed In With Summer is an Adult Romance. It’s about Avery who is all set to leave for an adventure packed vacation to Yukon when her boyfriend of two years abruptly breaks up with her. She decides to still go on the trip alone and is shocked and upset to discover the other solo traveler joining her tour group is none other than her high school girlfriend, Summer.

Avery and Summer dated for three years before Summer left Avery to live a nomadic lifestyle, traveling all over the world for extended periods of time. I was so ready for the tension and angst, especially when Summer and Avery found out they had to share the same yurt. But I’ll say I was surprised that this story is heavier emotionally than I anticipated.

While there is tension and open door intimacy, Avery was weighed down by her pain when it came to grieving two relationships and dealing with rejection. There was the constant fear Summer would leave her again if they were to extend their romance past the trip. That all aside, I really liked them as a couple. And I could feel how much they loved each other.

Overall, this is a fun winter read that had so many great things: dog sledding, a million husky cuddles, ice fishing, hooking up during a snowmobile ride, seeing the northern lights, and hot springs to name a few. Although my native Floridian self will gladly only read about these things and never personally experience them because, holy hell, I could never survive negative twenty-five temps. I won’t even try 😅

This was actually such a fun read with a bunch of tropes I love:

♥️ Sapphic romance
♥️ Destination romance
♥️ Second chance
♥️ Ex-girlfriends
♥️ Forced proximity
♥️ Healing from heartbreak
♥️ Growing together

I loved the way that Avery and Summer went from such a frosty reunion to slowly working out their issues, both independently and as a couple. They found their way back to each other in the most beautiful of settings! Definitely recommend this one!

From the very beginning this book had me hooked! The author did a great job explaining the backstory of both the characters and their relationship. The end left me close to tears, in the best way possible!

I am not a particularly adventurous person, but this book made me want to be one! I mean, watching the Northern Lights on a frozen river in the Yukon? That sounds amaaaaaazing.

This was a cute second chance romance with forced proximity, great side characters, and- most importantly- 97 sled dogs! I've never read this author before but I enjoyed this book and will definitely be checking out her other work!

This book had a steep hill to climb based on the premise alone. The narrator is 24 hours out from being dumped AND runs into a second chance romance with seemingly irreconcilable differences that still exist. Throw in her own internal issues and you’re left with a lot of conflict that has to be resolved in a short 200 page time frame. If this book had simply been in the general fiction category or even women’s lit, it would have been an excellent book. Avery’s struggles are well-developed and incredibly relatable. She, rightfully, spends most of the book awash in battling her inner demons to get to the truth of what exactly it is that she wants. There’s a lot of good emotional growth that isn’t done linearly. Like any good unreliable narrator, she backtracks in action and logics her way out of admitting that’s what she’s doing. I found myself rooting for her to stand up for herself.

The problem is this is a romance novel. All the time spent on developing a rich (singular) narrator, means that the romance is lacking at best. The two of them are constantly caught in a loop of bitter words and awkward silence that is hard to translate to chemistry. The author tries to utilize the past as a replacement, telling us all the charming ways they use to interact, but it doesn’t bridge into the modern day. Maybe if we had Summer’s POV the progression would have made sense but because we’re stuck in Avery’s anxious mind, there were very few moments where I as a reader could unclench and enjoy these two characters as a couple. I was hyper-aware of how improbable a HEA seemed. Tension and conflict are necessary but they shouldn’t be the only aspect of a relationship. Because of this, I don’t think this book is successfully a romance novel for me. If you think of John Green as romance then this may be right up your alley.

Snowed in with Summer is a heartwarming, second chance sapphic romance that was difficult put down! After being dumped by her boyfriend of two years the day before they are supposed to go on an adventurous group trip to the Yukon Territory, Avery decides to take a leap of faith and embark on the journey by herself. The only problem is, Summer, an ex-girlfriend who broke Avery's heart seven years ago, is also on the trip. Does Avery have the worst luck or is it fate that she and Summer are forced to reunite on a trip that, many years ago, they dreamed of taking together? This book has so many heartwarming scenes and I loved the atmosphere. Fun adventures in freezing temperatures? Check. Huskies galore? Check. Second chance romance? Check. Forced proximity? Check. Lovable characters? Absolutely!

While I loved Avery and Summer (although sometimes I found Summer's reasoning for some of her actions/decisions to be a bit frustrating), I also really loved the supporting characters throughout the book. As a second chance romance, I appreciated how well the author is able to seamlessly weave in stories from the characters’ past to really give the reader a deeper understanding of their history. I recommend this quick read to anyone looking for a story about personal growth, facing and overcoming fears, and finding happiness individually as well as with those you love.

Thank you Ylva Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an electronic arc of Snowed in with Summer for my honest review.

3.5 stars rounded up. This was a sweet, steamy second chance romance. It's light on the plot and heavy on the spice, but the characters were endearing and I liked the setting.

The rom-com tropes were a lot of fun. Happy stories with dogs are always a plus for me.

All in all, I'd say it's a decent fluffy story that's good for a quick, light read or a palate cleanser between heavier/darker books.

I read an ARC of this book from NetGalley. All comments are my own.
