This was a quick and easy to read fantasy BL. The worldbuilding was pretty simple and easy to follow thanks to its sparseness, and I think the author did a really great job of fleshing out a cast of side characters that complemented our MCs.
This follows Robin, a wannabe conjurer, as he tries to “level up” to prove his worth to those around him. When he accidentally summons a prince, he’s forced onto an adventure that he isn’t actually prepared or ready for.
Initially I thought this was BL, then convinced myself that it wasn’t, and then at the end I realized my original assumption was correct. This is being built up for a romance between the MCs (both as consenting adults), and I would guess that will continue in volume two.
This was a cute story about a boy who feel pressure living in his fathers shadows. When one day he summons a little boy while wishing to summon a princess. They go on a mission together and the boy ends up finding out about his powers.
The art is very pretty and well drawn in this Manga. The story is cute and shows challenges the main character faces. Also has some funny moments I would definitely recommend.
This was really fun! I loved exploring the world and getting to know the characters. Robin was surprisingly funny, and I loved how he pretended to be a high level conjurer when he really wasn’t. The flashbacks really added to his character development, and I wanted to see him grow and succeed. The parts with the dragon made me emotional, and I'm glad there was a happy ending in that regard.
There were a few things that I found weird, but they are spoilers, so I won’t list them. Overall, this was a fun and interesting story with great artwork! I’m interested to see where it goes, especially after the reveal at the end.

This had a lot of potential but it’s translation errors that lead to some confusion, messy world building and plot, as well as some uncomfortable elements dragged it down.
Yalman was absolutely the best character, I would have loved a series that just about him and his relationship with his son Robin. Robin is also not bad, really liked the idea of his toothpick sized wand and he was a rather fun character himself. Honestly if Yalman wasn’t such a fantastic character and his relationship with his son wasn’t so fun I probably would have rated this lower.
The main problem is Kyle. Kyle doesn’t really have much character so far, tho I’m sure that’ll change in further volumes, and it’s just uncomfortable that he was cursed into a 6 year old’s body, spontaneously falls in love as a 6 year old with Robin while readers don’t know he’s cursed and kissing Robin is what transforms him back to 19. I’m not a fan of age regression, especially when the solution is a kiss.
The story is on the weaker side as well and the messy world building doesn’t help it. Robin’s whole goal and family angst is achieved and solved in this one volume so it seems he’s got nothing to do for the rest of the series besides being a love interest now. Honestly not sure if I’ll continue with the series.
This was a fun and solid introduction to a fantasy world that I'm looking forward to exploring some more.
I really liked how unhurried and light everything feels even as things get dangerous. Rubin is an interesting character because he is sometimes super unsure of himself but boasts about how great he is the second he gets a chance to do it. The flashbacks to how awful people have always been to him due to his low magical power add to his being a super likable character that you can't help but root for.
The art is super expressive and tends to switch to cuteness mode a little too often, but it works with the story so it gets a pass.
Overall, there are a couple of things I'm not sure about but I'm willing to give this series a follow to see how they play out.
Happy thanks to NetGalley, Media Do International, Inc., and YUZU Comics for the entertaining read!
So, this is a case where some spoilers are necessary, I think, given tropes involved.
First off, the art style is decent, for stationary scenes and the chapter transitions. I didn't find it portrayed the action and fight scenes very well, though, and as for story writing - the vaguest fantasy worldbuilding is going on here and you have to just ride along on vibes. It's very handwavey, and I found panels not very detailed, with a lot of empty space that could have at least been used for worldbuilding dialogue or something.
Ok so, spoilers slash TWs:
The kid is not a kid. There is an age regression spell going on, which fanfic readers are likely familiar with. To further the potential squick, the sixteen year-old ish protagonist has to kiss said kid on the lips to break that spell.
I'll level with this: if this were several books into a series, with an established relationship, it'd be fine, but you go in blind 'til nearly the last page here and it was disconcerting to have a six year-old child mentally monologuing about longing and a racing heart, lol.
Not a series I'd continue, with a lot of better competition out there.
This was my first time reading a manga from this author but will definitely not be my last. What a surprisingly sweet and funny story.
Our protagonist is a weak and clumsy 17-year old conjurer. His main goal is to defeat a dragon and become famous and respected but he accidently summons a prince and things don't really go as planned.
The characters are super interesting and lovely and made me laugh so much. I like where the plot is going and that there are BL elements, some serious and emotional scenes and the age difference at first. Can't wait to see how this will progress in the next volume :)
I received this one from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
Well, I had expected, given the other 3 on Netgalley, this to be BL manhua (even though the cover featured a kid, but then again not always is a love interest shown).. but well, um, I guess given the ending it will be BL, though I wonder if that <spoiler> curse will forever be broken and not that they need to kiss each time, because seriously, no. Yuck. </spoiler>
Other than that, it was pretty interesting and the MC, while a bit lame, was still a good one and I loved that despite everything he kept on going, kept his dreams, kept trying to protect people even when he knew he was low level. In the end we learn more and I was a bit groaning because it is THAT trope. *rolls eyes*, but I am still happy for the MC. He learned a lot on this quest, became more confident in himself and what he can do. I liked that his wand was always with him, like a toothpick. Plus, bonus points for his best friend.
Oh, and I did like the art! It was fun!

This is definitely a trust-the-process kind of read and one of those books with a not-so-great hook, but a lot of manga in general aren't great at pulling in readers in the first few pages. I thought the story was pretty fun though and I liked the characters that we got to know so far. There was a troupe in this that I don't like done in the way that it usually is in manga (very vague because of spoilers sorry!) and unfortunately, it was done in the way I dislike and I just thought the character deserved better. However, near the end there was also a troupe I really love, it may just be the little me in my heart that consumed Disney princess vhs tapes at any given chance but I just love a well-written kiss breaking a curse scene. I was also just very happy that my concern of this becoming a very icky romance was lifted because you never know with manga. The overall story was nice because we don't usually see the complete opposite of what this sort of fantasy series offers and I really liked that the main character wasn't the strongest in the land (at least for now because it's a fantasy series so it will probably end that way). I will definitely be continuing this series if more arc copies become available or if they start printing it physically and was pretty sad that I couldn't find any more content for this online yet.
