*Control* by Kim Curran is a gripping and fast-paced dystopian YA novel that explores themes of power, choice, and identity. The story follows the protagonist, Scott, a teenager who discovers that he has the ability to control other people's actions through a mysterious power he can't fully understand. As he navigates his new reality, Scott must face the consequences of his abilities, which bring both danger and moral dilemmas.
Curran's writing is intense and engaging, creating a world where the line between right and wrong is constantly blurred. The plot is filled with twists and turns, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as Scott grapples with the ethical implications of using his power. The character development is strong, especially as Scott struggles with the temptation to control others versus doing what is right.
*Control* stands out for its thought-provoking exploration of free will, morality, and the consequences of wielding power. While the book can sometimes feel heavy with its themes, it's a compelling and exciting read for fans of dystopian fiction, thrillers, and stories that challenge the idea of personal responsibility.

Never a dull moment in this series. Control has compelling characters, a fast pace, and action packed plot that will keep the reader turning the pages. A great series for lovers of sci-fi.

This is the first time reading anything by this author, so I didn't really know what to expect. This book was fast paced and easy to read. There were lots of twists and turns that I didn't expect. I look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend this book.

I could not get into this novel at all, although I did try. Not a good fit for me, I think -- too juvenile and actiony.

Unfortunately I did not get on with this book and therefore cannot rate it very highly. I really struggled to connect with the characters and storyline.
