What an absolute treat for any Blockhead!

Nostalgia hit me hard. This book took me back to when my love for NKOTB started: the music, the merchandise, the magazines, the posters, taping interviews and their videos whenever they were on TV, the Hangin' Tough and Step By Step VHS tapes, the fan-crazed Oprah shows with not only the group but with their mothers as well, "the buttons and the pins and the loud fanfares", my love for Donnie Wahlberg - just everything!

Selena Fragassi has certainly done her research. Yes, there is lots of information that any fan already knows such as where the boys grew up, how the band was formed, their initial struggle and then their frenzied fame. But, there is also a plethora of information post-1994 break-up: their solo journeys, then getting back together and collaborations with other groups such as BSB.

There are quotes, timelines and many, many pictures. Fragassi has also acknowledged bands that came before the New Kids and the boy bands that came after.

Needless to say, I've been listening to NKOTB songs ever since reading this book. This book is a must-have for any New Kids fan. I will definitely be buying a physical copy of this book when it is published - a present for myself on my 46th birthday next month!

This book has a lot of great pictures of the New Kids throughout their career with fun facts and stats throughout the book. You can tell the author really did her research.

The entire career of the group itself is chronicled here as well as chapters on each member’s career when the group broke up. I liked learning about how the group began, their rise to fame and the members themselves.

I’d recommend this to any fans of 80’s or 90’s pop music, fans of any of the members and, of course, Blockheads. Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

New Kids on the Block 40th Anniversary Celebration by Selena Fragassi was a blast from the past! It brought back so many great memories, like going to see NKOTB in concert at Disney for one of their television specials.

The photos were great and captured the time period well. I felt like I was back in elementary school!

I loved reading the fun facts that were included, especially about the music. I could actually hear some of their songs running through my head as I read this.

This book definitely made me smile. It brought back some really good memories!

This book is a must have for anyone who grew up listening to New Kids on the Block. This book takes you through their journey as a boy band, including interesting facts about them. As soon as I saw this book the song Step by Step started playing in my head. This book is also perfect for new fans!

Any book about New Kids on the Block is going to be a great one for me. I love reliving old memories and enjoying the ones I am making now. There is nothing that a girl loves more than when her boyband is still the amazing people she grew up wtih. I loved this book and thought the author did a really good job.

What a fun nostalgic trip down memory lane. I was the biggest New Kids fan in my younger years, and I’ll have to say this book reminded me that love hasn’t faded. Donnie all the way.

I was one of the many Blockhead teenagers with the posters of NKOTB on the wall. Had a super big crush on Jonathan. But was never able to afford seeing them live. Adult me was ecstatic when they got back together and started touring again. I’ve seen them several times and I hope to see them several more in my lifetime!

This book is a must have for those who grew up listening to them and for any new fans they have acquired, like my daughter! It’s filled with very interesting information on the backstory and their journey. I will definitely be buying a hard copy of this book.

This was such a fun tribute to NKOTB and their 40 years (how is that possible because they still look amazing?!) in the business but it also takes a look at the boy bands that came before them and how they influenced NKOTB and their music. It was fun to look back at what was popular when their various hits were big and what direction the band wants to go in the future. This is a perfect gift for a NKOTB fan and as one myself I would love to have it! So many pictures, a great timeline of their journey and a discography of their music. Everything you could want in a history of the band book.

It was so nostalgic and brought back so many memories. A total must-have for NKOTB fans!

So many pictures and fun nuggets of NKOTB information. Lots of fun facts that I didn't know of.

I totally recommend for fans and for those wanting to learn more of the group.

I was a huge New Kids fan back in the day - I literally got a job as a steward at Wembley so I could see them multiple times for free - and once I'd got over the trauma of this book being a FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY celebration, I was all in.

This book is such an interesting read. I hadn't thought about how little I'd really known about how the band came about and developed, since it was all before the internet.

It was lovely to be reminded of things I'd forgotten and to learn what they've been up to since. Great photos too. And now I need to go and watch Donnie on The Masked Singer.

This book is a must for all "Blockheads". As big of a fan of NKOTB that I am, I also learned many things about the band. The pictures were also amazing. Can't wait to buy a copy when it is released!

First of all. 40 years? That’s how long we are celebrating NKOTB? How is that even possible. Especially since I’m still only 29 lol!!

I loved this book! Such a great trip down memory lane. This has a must-have keepsake for any New Kids on the Block fan, but especially those of us who’ve been there since the beginning.

Calling all Blockheads!! This book is an amazing history of NKOTB and will invoke feelings of nostalgia! This is all you ever wanted to know and more about Jordan, Joe, Danny, Donnie, and Jonathon. It's a story of how they came to be, their accomplishments, and how they broke up and ultimately got back together to tour as adults. This book is filled with fantastic photos! If you were ever into NKOTB this is definitely a must read!

Amazing! I was so excited to see this in here! And I was also surprised to find out it was more than a picture book. It actually had facts that I never knew about them! And I was a die-hard block head. And some of the pictures were new to me as well. I am so glad I got to reminisce and relive a little of my teen years through this book. I will for sure be buying for my coffee table when it comes out.

A fun throwback to my childhood. I loved seeing all of the pictures and little stories.

I loved the pictures and spotlights of the different milestones and changes throughout the years. NKOTB was the first real “Boy Band” and laid the foundation for many more to come after them!

This is awesome for any fan and worth it just for swoony pictures of your favourite member (I’m a Donnie fan myself)!

A 80’s born and 90’s raised child myself, this was quite possibly the best book highlighting the NKOTB!

The pictures and the graphics were like an instant time machine back to the 80's and 90's. I felt like I was a little girl again dreaming of my favorite New Kids- Joey and Jordan. This is a great walk down memory lane perfect for casual fans or hardcore fans; whichever category you fall under you will probably learn something new or at least uncover something you had forgotten. It expertly goes through the bands history and gives each member a spotlight. If you have not followed the band recently, you will also be able to see how their life ended up and may even be inspired to go Cruisin' with the New Kids! This was a fun trip back in time!
