Borison ends the Lovelight series on a high note with Business Casual. It has everything you want in a contemporary romance novel and enough heart to keep you hooked.

This book was really hard to follow without having read the rest of the series - my mistake for getting trigger happy and requesting this galley, but it wasn't clear it would be so interconnected. There was a lot of character crossover and I found myself getting very confused, and it made for such a bad personal reading experience that I abandoned my read to be continued when I have one day read other books in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc of this book.
This may be B. K. Borison's best work yet. I have absolutely adored every book in the Lovelight series, and I am so sad that the series is coming to an end, but this book was the perfect way to wrap the series up.
Charlie and Nova were perfect to me from the very first page. Charlie is a loveable, life-of-the-party type character, and Nova is more surly and introverted, but they are friends who have a flirty relationship. I love the trope in books when the man falls first and so much harder, and this had it to an abundance. It is so obvious from the very beginning of the book that Charlie has very strong feelings for Nova, but he has convinced himself she will never reciprocate those because he doesn't think very highly of himself, so it was really beautiful watching him realise she does like him too.
I love how both the characters supported one another throughout, most of the time without the other even having to voice their insecurities to the other. I felt like their friendship made their relationship work so seamlessly, as they already understood each other so strongly to their core.
One of my favourite parts of this series is the community and found family elements, and that is no different in this one. I loved the sibling dynamics that were explored between Beckett and Nova, as well as Charlie and Stella, both of whom have different relationships with their siblings but still rely on this familial bond. I also just love the way all of the community came together to support or encourage our characters, even with the amazing phone tree.
This book was just so beautiful to read, as I genuinely feel like the pacing and the backstory from the rest of the series made me believe that these characters had genuine feelings for each other and it wasn't insta-lovey at all. The way they communicated with each other throughout the book, and grew more confident sharing themselves, was really lovely to experience as a reader.
I can't wait to pick up B. K. Borison's next release, First Time Caller, and honestly everything else she ever puts out, as this book has cemented her as a favourite for me.

Am I wrong to start from the end of the series?? Probably yes, do I regret it? Absolutely not!!
This book was something else, I knew I would like it, but not as much as a I did.
Definitely will be reading the rest of the series, by order now.

This was a gorgeous end to the series!
B.K. Borison's Business Casual is a fiery, fun, and charming book, delivering all the romance, banter, and heart-tugging moments readers have come to expect from the author. With a sizzling dynamic between two irresistible leads, a meddling small-town backdrop, and enough chemistry to melt your screen, this book is a delightful treat for fans of contemporary rom-coms.
Charlie Milford, the uptight, buttoned-up corporate executive, is the kind of man who thrives on structure and control—until he meets Nova Porter, the free-spirited, tattooed artist who’s anything but predictable. When their undeniable attraction becomes too much to ignore, Nova proposes a no-strings-attached, one-night deal to get the chemistry out of their systems. Charlie, ever the betting man, agrees, thinking it will be a simple fix.
However, as often happens in romance, things don’t go as planned. One explosive night leads to a lot more than either of them anticipated. Nova’s no-nonsense attitude clashes with Charlie’s corporate world persona, and their chemistry soon escalates into something far more complex than a temporary distraction. With Charlie in town to help oversee Lovelight Farms for his sister Stella, and a small-town community that’s too curious for its own good, the stakes are raised even higher. Throw in some close quarters, a mischievous duckling, and plenty of hilarious, tender moments, and you've got a recipe for a romance that’s as heartwarming as it is steamy.
What truly stands out in Business Casual is Borison’s ability to balance scorching sexual tension with emotional vulnerability. The interactions between Charlie and Nova are electric, and their journey from one-night fling to something much more meaningful is both entertaining and deeply emotional. The dialogue is snappy, the banter is delightful, and the small-town charm of Inglewild makes for the perfect setting to bring their story to life.
Fans of the Lovelight series will be thrilled with this satisfying finale, though Business Casual also works as a standalone for new readers. The characters are fully fleshed out, and the romance is truly the heart of the story, making for an unforgettable read. Borison has crafted a story that’s equal parts fun and emotional, with characters that feel real and relatable.
Business Casual is the perfect rom-com for anyone who loves a slow-burn romance, a quirky town, and a couple who challenge each other to grow. B.K. Borison’s writing is, as always, sharp, smart, and immensely readable—this book will leave readers laughing, swooning, and eagerly awaiting what the author writes next.

I love B.K. Borison, I do. Lovelight Farms, Mixed Signals, and First Time caller are absolute favorites of mine. This one just sort of fell a little bit flat for me. I adored Charlie and found him incredible relatable. Out of the lovelight farm boys, he's definitely the one that was the most unsure and seemed like he had the most to work one by himself, which I appreciated. He does grow and figure a lot of stuff out for himself. I really liked Nove too, but her issues felt a bit forced. I think it would have been better to have more focus on Charlie being unsure and needing support, while Nova wanting the perfect studio because her brother is too supportive should have taken a backseat. The book tried to make both of there issues equal, which they just aren't.
Essentially the focus on Nora sometimes seemed to only be there to justify the entire book. Because in all honesty, there wasn't a real reason they didn't just get together. Sure, the beginning would have probably taken some figuring out, but unlike the other couples, there wasn't a major reason that kept them apart. The conflict essentially just resulted out of Nova's somewhat overblown "struggles". Which resulted in the book feeling a bit like a drag, because small things justifying them not just being together kept being thrown in. I my opinion, there should have been a more tangible conflict that made sense.
The writing was nice, but also not as good as in the authors other books. The spice was good, though I wish Nova and Charlie had explored a bit more that he liked being given a bit of direction. It's emphasized the first time, but immediately after it switches to him being more in charged, which I was very disappointed by. Seemed like a missed chance to give the story more complexity and show a dynamic different from the other couples. Overall it's a nice book that just doesn't live up to the others in the series. It feels a bit like an afterthought to wrap up all of the loose ends and give the series a definite ending.
I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, all opinions are my own.

I love this authors writing its beautiful. The author always keeps you intrigued and hooked through out. I have loved them all in the series and I love how they always are themed for the seasons

"Business Casual" is the fourth installment in the Lovelight series and follows the romantic story of Nova, who is Beckett's sister, and Charlie, Stella's brother. Nova is a free-spirited tattoo artist, while Charlie is a kind-hearted investment banker.
B.K. Borison excels at developing soulful and relatable characters - I thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in the series. Unlike the earlier installments, particularly "In the Weeds," which featured a messy or rushed third-act breakup, this book concludes in a mature and heartfelt way.
It truly embodies small-town romance perfection!
Thank you B.K. Borison and Pan Macmillan for providing me with the opportunity to read this ARC through @netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

This was a truly perfect ending to the series. I love the Inglewild series, and the small town vibe is incredibly strong in this book. The Thursday night Harvest Festival meetings felt particularly small town, in the vein of Stars Hollow. The cast of supporting characters in this series always make for enjoyable reading for me, and that was definitely continued here.
There are some really great family dynamics in this book. Nova's need for approval from Beckett was so relatable, and Charlie's fractured relationship with his Dad was really well written. I love family dynamics in books, particularly between siblings.
There is also quite a lot of fantastic representation of chronic illness in this book. Charlie's ADHD was well portrayed, and Nova's migraines were also well written. Migraines are not something I often see portrayed in books, so I really appreciated the depiction here.
Best of all, there was no third act break up. The conflict here came from external factors, and it was refreshing to finally see a book with no third act conflict between the couples.

Was beautifully written as was all the series this has become one of my favrioute series of the year. The character growth was done brilliantly. And the story just flowed so well once I got to about 20% of the book I couldn't put it down.

I can’t believe it’s to time say goodbye to this town. If you’re looking for a cute lighthearted, romcom series, this is the one for you. I loved all the characters and every romance we got to see.

Casual Business is a cute story about two friends falling in love. It's part of the Lovelight series but can be read as a standalone which I did. Maybe I would've liked it more if I read the whole series in order. I enjoyed reading this book and I liked it but something was missing for me. For me it was a little bit too much spice and not enough interesting plot.
Thanks to NetGalley for sending me a ARC in exchange for an honest review!

God how I love this series!
Love the writing style, the setting, the characters, everything.
Nova and Charlie were such a good couple!
I am a bit sad the series ended now but am looking forward for the new ones!

Business Casual follows Charlie and Nova’s relationship (along with mentions of past book characters, we love an update 🥰) and let me tell you, Charlie is my dream boy! I am in love with him, his quintessential golden retriever personality, the flirty quips, a big softie who is willing to do anything for you - BK truly wrote this MMC for the girlies! Absolutely loved Nova too, she has my dream job & we also share the “sarcasm is my love language” trait, so…make of that what you will I guess!
Their journey together was perfect, the situation they found themselves in (let’s hook up to get it out of our system is always a great plan) was a situation I’m sure everyone has accidentally ended up in before without being over the top. I love how they negotiated around it & NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP 🙌
I am so so sad this series is over! I have absolutely loved reading this series and think it will become an annual thing where I read one per season, BK’s writing is just so lovely, it’s like reading a cosy favourite film!

Nothing special really. this is much like the others in the series. Personally this was my least favourite and i dont remember much. As a cute easy romance id deffo recommend it though

Going back to Inglewild for the last time had been a bittersweet experience. But I couldn't have asked for a better ending for this series. B.K. Borison writes some of the best town romances out there, and this was not an exception. Loved it. <3
Thank you so much Pan Macmillan | Pan for the eARC!

Sometimes, you just need to fall in love with a seasonal romance series and be depressed when it’s over. Welcome back, sad girl autumn. But more seriously, I adored Nova and Charlie–these two are the characters I related to the most in this series. I simply adored them and their relationship!

B.K Borrison once again hooks you in with her characters!
This book had me so much more emotional than I'd anticipated, and knowing this is the last we'll see of Inglewild (for now, if not forever) was just so bittersweet,
Borrison has solidified her place as an auto-buy author for me.
I can't wait to explore what she's going to do in the future, and what landscapes she will create for us to explore!

B.K. Borison has truly made my year with this book. It’s the perfect ending to an incredible series, and I can’t believe it’s over. The romance was beautifully written, and the character development—both individually and as a couple—was spot-on. Nova and Charlie have quickly become one of my favorite romance pairs. Their story was so heartwarming and fun that I know I’ll be revisiting it soon.
I highly recommend this book to anyone, and I can’t wait to see what Borison releases next!

This is perhaps my favorite of this series.
Amazing build up, the ball was in her court.
Nova is the grump and Charlie the sunshine (love that the roles are reversed).
Nova owns a tattoo shop, while Charlie works at an investment firm far away.
They have amazing chemistry that just makes you not able to put the book down.
Small town, opposites attract, friends to lovers.
Lots of flirting.
Ofcourse the Inglewild Phone tree in action.
