I will forever be indebted to you for letting me read this book early!
I am the biggest fan of Borison’s writing. She draws you in from the first page and makes you feel like a member of Inglewild. I absolutely adored Charlie and his softy heart. Him and Nova were everything I hoped for and this book delivered on all fronts - sweetness, spicey spice, heartfelt. Just like a big cuddle.
I would read anything that she writes. She can do no wrong.

So I was not a fan of book 1 so was kinda of scared about this one but OMG my expectations went over the roof and I was not disappointed
Charlie and Nova were so great.
I love how we had representations of ADHD and chronic migraine.
I lived seeing Charlie and the evolution of his character and how he thought that people didn’t want him there. For everything he wanted to make sure that people actually wanted him
Nova needed some like Charlie and together they were so great
I ate this book in 1 day!
Also him taking care of her and cutting heart shape strawberries was the cutest thing

Nova is Beckett's young sister. She's fierce and independant, and plans to launch her tattoo studio soon. She doesn't have time to get in a relationship.
Charlie is Stella's brother. He is funny and really busy, and he, too, doesn't have time for a girlfriend : he doesn't even live in Inglewild !
But when Nova offers one night, just to clear of every tension, he can't believe his fantasy has come to life, and he declines. Until he can't stand it.
Back to Lovelight farms so, and once again, it's the perfect mix between steamy moments and romantic ones, everything wrapped up in a lot of banter. Perfect friends, to friends with benefits, to friends to lovers, I couldn't put the book down, and I had to know how, once Charlie would have left Inglewild, these two would live without each other. And it was really cute !

5/5 Stars
Thank you to Netgalley and Pan Macmillian for providing me with an ARC.
I read Lovelight farms last year and for some reason never found the time to continue the series but I always have planned on coming back to it and this was the perfect return to the series. I think reading these in order would add to your connection to everyone but I got into this really fast even with only having read book 1. Business casual is a cute small town and opposites attract romance with the added element of lets get it out of our systems.
Nova Porter isn’t looking for love, she is happy for her friends and family that have found it but she wants to focus on getting her tattoo shop up and running. But she doesn’t plan on her attraction to Charlie, a buttoned up investment banker who is around for fun but never long. They both can’t fight the attraction so they agree to spend a night together to get it out of their systems but what happens when once isn’t enough?
I really love the trope of lets get this out of our systems, because it never works for them and always adds a fun element of complication to the start of their relationship. Nova doesn’t want a relationship so she explicitly tells Charlie that and he fully agrees as he is only in town for a month. But Charlie tries to keep is resulting feelings buried to respect what Nova wanted and Nova keeps thinking he will act on what feelings he seemingly has but then gets mad when he won’t. This is actually one example of miscommunication I didn’t mind and I found funny.
One thing I didn’t expect from this book was the amazing adhd representation. BK Borison does something I love with neurodiverse representation and makes it subtle and doesn’t come out and instantly say Charlie has adhd. She starts with showing the reader behaviors that to some may seem normal but to those who are neurodiverse especially who have ADHD like I do, we can see them and go, “ONE OF US, ONE OF US!” We see mentions of Charlie having everything scheduled and similar small things that don’t click to some people but then when it finally is mentioned that he has ADHD you can look back and go ohhh that makes sense. I have been seeing more and more neurodiverse representation in romance and it always makes me so happy because diversity belongs in the media to show people that they belong.
I really recommend this book whether you have read and loved the love light series or this is your introduction to BK Borison.

I honestly just loved every. single. thing. about this book. @authorbkborison writes in the acknowledgements that she didn't want to say goodbye to Lovelight Farms and this final book was written in such a beautiful way that I wasn't sad it was over (OK, I totally was🫠) I just want to jump straight back in to the series❤️
Lovelight Farms has become a comfort series for me so quickly and I know I will reread the series and be obsessed for years to come🥹🥰
(also, yes, I am already planning a Lovelight Farms series tattoo bc how could I NOT with so much tat chat in Business Casual)
If you've read the first three in the series, you absolutely need to pre-order Business Casual NOW. And if you haven't, then you have until July to read the first three before this one is released and I 100% recommend that you do❤️
🎄🌷🍓🎃
thank you sooo much to @netgalley for letting me read an eARC of such an amazing book😭

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and this instalment has not disappointed. With our male lead doing all the chasing and being a big flirt he is the epitome of golden retriever! Charlie proves to be so much more than a flirt. Nova is a more reserved character and takes some time to warm up to but you can see her character development and why. The friendship and trust that grows between Nova and Charlie is just as swoon worthy as the flirtatious banter!
I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley and have provided my honest review

Opening up a business is a lot of work even with the support system Nova has in Inglewild. She doesn’t have time for a relationship but can’t seem to get Charlie out of her head, he’s a distraction that she needs to get out of her system. One night only, no strings attached, they just need to get it out of their system. Things change after their explosive night together, Charlie is determined to convince Nova he’s worth some of her time after all.
This is one of my favorite romance series of all time and the series finale didn’t disappoint. Getting to go back to the town we all know and love by this point was such a joy. Being introduced to new faces and catching up with old ones made my heart so happy. They’re all connected somehow, it’s a small town after all. In this case Charlie and Nova are siblings to previous mcs Stella and Beckett respectively.
They’re amazing characters, both super likable and funny. The kind of people you’d love to be friends with. Their relationship develops slowly over time, however their attraction for each other is evident from the beginning. I don’t want to give away too much but I have to mention that there is no third act breakup and unnecessary drama.
New book boyfriend alert! Not only is he good looking he’s also funny, kind and supportive. He’s always there for the people he loves, get yourself a man like Charlie. He hasn’t shown himself the same kindness and I loved watching his character develop throughout the book.
I can’t recommend this book and entire series enough. Borison never misses, mark your calendars Business casual hits the shelves July 18th!

Charlie and Nova's story was everything I'd hoped for and so much more. Scorching-hot sexual tension, divine banter, beautifully vulnerable emotions, this was crammed with everything I love about Becs' writing

Charlie and Nova don’t want a relationship. They just want to get it out of their systems 😂🤣💀 And I was there to watch the out-of-my-system-train derail 🍿
I loved their chemistry and their banter. Charlie was adorable, he was funny but also sweet and loving. The way he took care of her when she had a migraine! B.K. Borison really knows how to write a book boyfriend 😌
There’s one thing that stands out about this book and proves that the author listens to her readers (which 🥹🥹🥹) ; there’s no third-act breakup! 🥳🎊🎉🍾🥂💗 It was my biggest issue with the previous books so it was refreshing and comforting to see Charlie and Nova act like adults with no unnecessary drama.
I loved seeing the couples from the previous books living their HEA and I can’t believe it was the last installment. I will miss you, Lovelight Farms! 💕
Thank you NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for the arc, all opinions are my own.

Nova and Charlie are the epitome of perfect! Their struggles, flaws, banter chemistry and story arch, made them great as individual characters but even better together. Business Casual is the perfect romance and Charlie is such a great book boyfriend.
I HIGHLY recommend this cozy, small town romance both as the end to the Lovelight Farms series and as a standalone!!
Summary: Charlie Milford, a savvy executive, gambles on a no-strings proposition from Nova Porter, but their explosive night leads to unexpected desires.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book, all thoughts are my own.

This book, this series, this author.. entirely have my heart. The Lovelight series will always live on in my heart and B. K. Borison couldn't have wrapped up the series better than she did with Business Casual.
I am a sucker for the found family trope and BC delivers this on a shiny silver plate. I was waiting for Charlie's book and his is my favourite in this series, he just needs to learn to love himself and with the help of Nora, he did just that.
If you are looking for a heart-warming, gut wrenching and incredibly addictive book to read, Business Casual is the one for you.

I have really enjoyed all the books in this series and felt this book was the perfect way to wrap it all up. I loved the relationship development between Charlie and Nova. It was really sweet and the two had great chemistry and entertaining interactions.
Of course the small town charm and cast of loveable side characters also played their part in making this book (and series) so great.
Loved this series and can’t wait to dive into whatever B.K Borison writes next!

3.5 ⭐️
I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Inglewild!! I have seriously loved reading the Lovelight series, and while I love each couple, I could not wait for Charlie and Nova’s book!! 😍
Charlie was everything I was waiting for. He was sweet, loving, did everything for his family, obsessed with Nova. I love the happy jokester guy who’s actually really soft and vulnerable underneath that facade.
Their relationship was so sweet. I loved their chemistry and how supportive they were of one another. I loved seeing them help one another and come out the other side of their individual struggles. They grew so much both as individuals and as a couple.
I love all the small town vibes and the cameos of all the previous Lovelight couples, and of course the Inglewild phone tree! It’s such an amazing meddlesome town, and I’m so sad to leave it!
Thank you NetGalley and BK Borison for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Tropes:
- Small Town Romance
- Golden Retriever MMC
- One Night Stand
- Phone Tree Meddling
- No 3rd Act Breakup
- Boy Obsessed

I have so much love for these two and their group. Seeing these two find their own way, that is different than what everyone else would have for them was so poignant at times and their intimacy especially emotional is the strength of their relationship.

This is my second read from the author's works and i absolutely had a wonderful time reading this book. Right from the starting till the end, it didn't bore me at all. The characters and plot were well penned and drafted.

This is one of my favorite book series, and I'll just accept that this is a goodbye for now. I'm so attached to these characters and this little town with their hilarious but caring community. The final installment of the Lovelight Series is perfection. The book has a little bit of everything; It's lovely, steamy, forthcoming, emotional, mischievous and funny.
Nova and Charlie are the epitome of opposites attract with a proclivity to flirt with one another, it's just their love language. Nova and Charlie know from the beginning that there is chemistry; they will be pining throughout the book with those flirtatious looks. They definitely have Golden Retriever x Black Cat kind of vibes. One night, no strings it was they believed will be the solution to get each other out of their system, but they couldn't be more wrong. They will both start catching on feelings that can't be categorized as business casual anymore.
As individuals: Nova is setting up her new tattoo studio in the place she grew up in, Inglewild. Being the youngest of 4 siblings, she believes she must prove that she is no longer the little girl they have to protect at all costs. It's visible her constant need to prove herself and make everyone proud, especially her brother. But that doesn't make her give up, on the contrary, she gives her best, even if that brings repercussions.
Charlie, on the other hand, we see him as the life of the parties who will gradually realize that what he is looking for is a change of scenery, a place to belong. With a different but routine life in New York, Charlie agrees to work in Stella's place on the farm while she is on her honeymoon. Charlie won't have it easy either, torn between two jobs and having to deal with his overbearing father. While all that is going on, he wants to see how far his one-night-stand relationship with Nova will go, for which he apparently has more feelings.
Charlie and Nova are imperfectly perfect, individually and together. I love how they are so in tune with each other's feelings and needs. They support through thick and thin. I loved the tension, the flirting, the teasing, their foreplay, and the desire they have which was insane. However, their love goes beyond the physical; It's deep, passionate, and yet so vulnerable and intimate. Their relationship is very push and pull, but there is no doubt that they would do anything because they love each other and that the basis was not only lust but also a friendship and trust that grew little by little.
I love that as a couple, at first glance, Nova and Charlie seem like they are incompatible or that they will not get along since they are always bickering, but in the background, they have similarities. Both craves for validation, are afraid of disappointing people and feel lonely. I liked the transition between chapters 23 and 24 because it showed, despite the intimate moment, a vulnerable side between the two of them and that they really needed that conversation to being frank and establish a common ground about their feelings. They struggled and yet, they healed.
Occasionally, I sobbed, as there were many that hit me right in the feels. I don't know how many times I could see parts of myself in both characters. As Charlie being a people pleaser thinking, he didn't deserve anything in return or him dealing with his ADHD. Or like when Nova pushes herself to the limit, which causes her frequent migraines, her desire to feel validated or not commit to someone because she thinks she would lose herself in the process. Those little details that I identified with quite a bit.
Not to mention; the side characters that with their meddling nosy shenanigans as well as altruistic protective nature stole the hearts of the readers: Luka & Stella, Layla & Caleb, and Evie & Beckett. All of them were too adorable and their scenes you can notice the striking love they have. How can I forget the sibling relationships that were one of the highlights for me: Charlie and Stella. I think their relationship is very mature and tender. Along with, Beckett and Nova who have a unique bond too
And most of all, I must thank B.K. Borison for this extraordinary fourth and final book in the Lovelight Series. With her immaculate writing, she gave us this wonderful book that I will treasure in my heart.
Thanks Netgalley for this ARC

The Lovelight Farms series will forever be one of my favourite romance series ever. These characters will live with me forever.
In Business Casual, black cat Nova and golden retriever Charlie fall into a friends with benefits situation. For Nova, she just wants to scratch an itch. For Charlie, he has been in love with her for a while. What was supposed to be just fun ends up being so much more.
I loved this book so much. It will join the rest of this series with it being 5 stars.
I’m sad to see these characters go but I am so happy I can reread their love stories again and again.

this is my third bk borison read, i haven’t read mixed signals yet.
i really liked the writing since i was struggling with that in book two.
nova kind of reminds me of myself even though i would consider myself a mixture of charlie and nova
i’m lowkey obsessed with charlie🫠 he is adorable and i loved seeing his struggle with belonging to a place and to people and feeling like a burden
also always obsessed with a small town romance and this one felt so cozy and i love how it kind of builds a found family
btw there’s NO MISCOMMUNICATION
“I'm comfortable in my solitude. I like the quiet. I like eating dinner by myself and picking what to watch on TV. I like starfishing in the middle of my bed and setting my thermostat to the perfect temperature. I like rolling myself like an overstuffed burrito in all my blankets. I like having my space to myself, and I like not having to compromise. I don't need to share my every day with someone to sud denly feel fulfilled. My favorite person to be with is myself, and my relationship of choice is brief, consensual, and satisfying“
“I'm about to enter my farmer era. Cowboy Charlie, unlocked”
“I'll overthink it to death and cringe on the inside, but it'll be fine.“

DISLIKES
🌙 I didn’t love the nickname ‘Nova girl’ but I don’t really love many nicknames generally!

I went into Business Casual hoping for a light, fluffy rom-com to fill my day. I walked away having just finished my favourite book of the year.
Friends to lovers always hits a little different, but Nova and Charlie somehow made it even better. Their story, for all its silly banter and town shenanigans, held so much heart and joy that I couldn’t help loving it.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest review. I loved this with all my heart 🥰
P.S Don’t worry Charlie, you’re my favourite too. You both were 🥰
