Thank you to Pan Macmillan, Net Galley and BK Borison for an advanced reader copy of Business Casual, out in the UK on June 27th.

“Hey Nova Girl.”

Oh my god, what an ending to my favourite series ever. I actually think I’m about to cry as I write this review. If you haven’t picked up this series, make sure you do before this is released.

Business Casual is the fourth and final instalment of the Lovelight Farms series and it follows Nova Porter, a local tattoo artist, and Charlie Milford, an investment banker in New York who ends up in Inglewild for a month. They decided that a one time thing is enough, to get it out if their systems. But is it?

Eurgh, I just don’t want this series to ever end. BK’s writing has kept me hooked throughout the entire series. The way she writes characters is spectacular and the talent she has for writing scenes that are hilarious but also realistic is unmatched.

This book was my most anticipated read of the year and I am so happy to say that it has lived up to my expectations.

Rating: 5/5

'Business Casual' is my new favourite romance of all time. I say that a lot, but this time I mean it!!! This final instalment of the Lovelight Farms series has everything a good small town romance needs - town festivals, meddling neighbours and people moving home after living in the Big City.

Callum and Nova's love story was a joy to read. They both begin the novel feeling lost and both end it with a home. Their romance blossomed over the course of the novel, Nova's offer of a one night stand being the catalyst. Angst galore, the tension was immaculate and I every moment I was rooting so hard for them.

World building often gets overlooked in books that high fantasy but BK Morrison has managed to create a small town so vivid and real you might actually start thinking Inglewild is a real place. It provides such a comforting backdrop to this friends-with-benefits to lovers romance. Every side character in this town feels as intentional and thought out as its main characters which leaves the world feeling full and pushes the plot forward nicely.

It makes me so sad to think that the Lovelight Farms series is over but I can now confidently say that it;'s one of the best romance series I've ever read.

What can I say…this was the perfect finale to the Lovelight Farms series.
The story flowed with such ease and the characters were so easy to fall in love with.
I loved Charlie’s humour and his ability to connect with everyone and this made my heart ache for him even more, the further his character developed.
Nova was the perfect balance to Charlie’s golden retriever energy and the quips and flirting back and forth were delicious. That tension and flirting between the two, led to some moments that were HOT! I also loved that that the FMC was tattooed and a bit more alternative which you don’t always see in small town romances. This gave a refreshing edge in my perspective.
I loved how the caretaker role reversed by the end of this book and the realisation for both characters when they realised how hard they had fallen for each other, made for perfect romance story telling. It literally read like a film playing out on screen.
The supporting characters in the Lovelight Farms series always provide added humour and comic relief which just further add to the charm of these books. As you can most probably tell, I just love this series and these books have become firm favourite comfort reads!
Overall an easy, EASY 5 stars for Business Casual. B.K. Borison has most definitely become and auto buy author for me now.
Thank you so much to Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book early in exchange for an honest review! 😁

"Maybe we can call it business casual."

B. K. Borison never disappoints. Truly would not know where to start when talking about her writing and how much comfort her books give me. It's safe to say she made a loyal fan of me and I will be waiting for "First-Time Caller" like kids wait for Christmas.

No one makes a cry more than characters I relate to on a deep, personal level. In this book it was both of the main characters that had me feeling understood and seen. Knowing my feelings are valid and that one day I will look back at some years in my life and wonder why did I ever minimize myself? Why did I ever overthink situations and relationships that were so easy? One day I will find comfort in knowing I healed.

An emotional goodbye is exactly what Lovelight Farms deserves. Because when I'm reading a book the main feeling I need to have, for it to be stuck in my heart, is familiarity. Like being a part of the world I'm reading about.
And that's exactly what these books made me feel.

This love wil come back to me.

Thank you NetGalley for gifting me with an ARC.

First of all, I would like to thank Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for sending me an ARC of Business Casual. I screamed in delight when I got the e-mail with the approval of my request.

This read was one of my most antecipated of the year and boy, did it live up to the expectations!
It was fantastic to be back at Inglewild and see everyone again! B.K Borison wonderfully wrote the other book couples and side characterts in this book without taking the spotlight from Charlie and Nova. I had to stop and make annotations when I was only twenty pages in just to gush over the small updates of all our previous book couples <3

I love how B.K Borison's male leads are all so vunerable and confortable in showing their emotions. They are huge soft teddy bears for their girls (and family), the greenest flags ever.

We had seen little snippets of Charlie in previous book, so I was little curious to know more of Stella's brother. Charlie quickly rose in my rank of bookfriends and he is here to stay.
He is extremely attentative when it come to others, always cracking a joke and being the live of the party. He goes all of out his way to help anyone who needs it, and the way he supported Nova with the paperwork for her to open her tattoo studio was everything. Honestly, I did not know that colour coding documents and spread cheats could be so hot but Charlie made it possible.
But beneath his happy facade and huge generous soul lies someone who is really insecure and afraid of not fitting in, who thinks himself underserving of love and scared to be greedy, courtesy of his horrible father (daddy issues girlies, rise).

Nova is a character we had seen very little in previous book and I absolutely adore her. She is a strong-minded, take no shit girl who knows what she wants, a "little angry kitten" as Charlie describes during the book.
However, she also has in her mind that she needs to be perfect, something that puts a huge weight on her shoulders when it comes to her success in opening her own tattoo studio in her home city. Asking for help is something that comes hard to her, and the need to prove herself deserving of her success and opportunities, not to mention the fear of losing her independence, makes Nova "bundle up her heart", as Nessa says to her the beginning of the book.

In my opinion, both Charlie's and Nova's insecurities were well approached and developed in the book. In addition, both of them deeply resonated with me in relations to their inner turmoils. It was really nice seeing their growth at the end, and how it is something they keep working on as time passes.
The mention of Charlie's ADHD and how he deals with that was a nice touch, as was the mention of Nova's chronic migraines (specially because I am a sucker for the trope where one of the characters takes care of their sick love interest).

This book was spicier than the others in my opinion, but in no way did the plot suffer because of it. B.K Borinson balanced the spicy scenes masterfully with the rest of the plot, and the soft scenes betweeen Charlienova were just as enjoyable, making me blush and giggle. I was screaming quicking my feet and twirling my hair during the entire book, the reverse grumpy x sunshine trope falling perfectly into place with their characters.

I could go on all day saying how much I loved the book, so I will cut it short by saying that it is definitely a 5 out of 5 starts read, and if it was possible to rank it infinite stars I would do it for sure! The epilogue was a very satisfying way to close this wonderful series, and the Author's Note in regards to the Lovelight Series ending made my heart all warmy and fuzzy, like saying goodbye to close friend you deeply care about.

The fourth installment of the Lovelight collection is a satisfying conclusion to the series. It kicks off with Nova and Charlie's lively celebration at a wedding, where Nova's proposition sets the stage for delightful banter and simmering sexual tension. What sets this book apart is its perfect balance of vulnerability, which adds depth to the characters and their interactions. From start to finish, it kept a smile on my face, and I'm hopeful for future glimpses into the Lovelight family in upcoming books. Special thanks to NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for the

Another amazing story from the Lovelight Farms series!

Business Casual was one of my most anticipated books of the year and was well worth the wait. Both Nova and Charlie and loveable and relatable individual and together. I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop and seeing other residents and characters from the previous books in the series pop up. The epilogue was great and a perfect way to finish off.
I’m always there for a B.K. Borison book and eagerly await the next!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to have an ARC in return for an honest review.

This book deserves all the stars and I feel like I don't have the words to describe how much I loved it

This was one of my highly anticipated reads ever since it was announced and is 1000% worth the wait

I love Charlie and Nova, I love how they were always themselves and were vulnerable around each other and didn't feel like need to hide parts of themselves with each other

One of my fave micro tropes is when the tattoo artist main character gives their partner their first tattoo, and that scene was just so beautiful and I had to stop reading just to live in that moment with them for a little while

I love the banter right from start of the book, it was so fun, and I liked that they were already established friends

The third act conflict wasn't huge and was done really well, Becs would've crushed me if it was any bigger

The epilogue was so cute I sobbed through the second half, this series has become a comfort series for me and I'm so sad that it's over (for now at least)

Also you know a books going to be good when you tear up at the dedication

- friends to friends with benefits to lovers
- small town
- sneaking around / secret relationship
- the best banter
- she gives him his first tattoo

Thank you to Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for the ARC - all opinions are my own

Another great Lovelight Farms story! Probably my favourite. I loved Charlie and Nova, their flaws and their story arch. I'm always here for BK Borison stories. Cannot wait for publication date so I can get my hands on a paperback copy of the book.

I was having a pretty rubbish week when an eARC of Business Casual landed in my inbox (thank you Pan Macmillan and NetGalley!). I felt better just from reading the first page of this book. The cosy small town of Inglewild, the characters I love so much, and B.K. Borison’s writing are such comforts to me. This book, like the others in the series, felt like a warm hug.

I’m a sucker for black cat x golden retriever, and this book did not disappoint. I loved the dynamic between Nova and Charlie; they balanced each other out so well, and their friendship, banter, chemistry, and romance were perfect. B.K. Borison also wasn’t lying when she said this was her sexiest book yet. The spice was spicing 🥵

I loved the characters as a couple, but I also adored them as individuals. Both of them had so much depth and were so much more than what meets the eye. Nova is closed off and hesitant to let others in and ask for help, and Charlie fears he is “too much” and never good enough, so he puts on a mask to hide his feelings. I related to both characters, and I loved seeing their growth. They opened up and were vulnerable with each other, as well as those around them.

I also really appreciated the ADHD and migraine representation. Like Nova, I suffer from migraines, but I’ve never read a book where a character has them too. There is also a care-taking scene, which, like so many other scenes in this book, had me both tearing up and swooning!

As well as the super sweet romance, I adored the found family in this book. Seeing all the characters together and happy with their significant others was so special. I also really enjoyed the sibling relationships that were explored, and, of course, all the nosy small town shenanigans.

The ending and epilogue had me absolutely bawling my eyes out, and all I wanted to do was read this book from the beginning again. Although I’m sad it’s over, this was the perfect ending to the Lovelight series. I will think about Charlie and Nova, as well as all of the other couples, for a long, long time. I cant wait to read whatever B.K. Borison writes next, and I really hope we will get to return to Inglewild in some capacity in the future!

"Hey, Nova Girl!"

Charlie and Nova have insecurities and dilemmas that are so real, and I think that's what made me fall even more in love with the story.

I was so eager to read more about Nova and Charlie, but I wasn't prepared for how much this book would take over my heart. This book has jumped to the top of my all-time favorites list, and I can confidently say it's in first place.

Nova and Charlie have insane chemistry, and when they start spending more time together, you can feel the connection they have. They really see each other and bring out the best in each other.

I loved how their relationship developed, their friendship growing stronger until it became clear they were more than friends. I loved how they let themselves be vulnerable when they're together. The tattoo scene is going to live rent-free in my head for a long time. I cried buckets.

This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster, but it also made me feel seen. B K Borison created a masterpiece that I'm sure I'll never forget.

Thank you so much, Pan Macmillan and NetGalley, for this ARC.

Business Casual was the perfect ending to the Lovelight Farm series! I’ve been anticipating Charlie and Nova’s book for so long now, their slow but intense build up has been highly anticipated and Borison didn’t disappoint!

She’s truly the queen of cosy romance because I found myself feeling so giddy and delighted the entire time reading the final instalment. It was bittersweet saying goodbye, but what a send-off! Nova was probably my favourite part about the book— once I adore the heroine, I’m a goner and she was so perfectly sunshiney, witty and wonderful. While Charlie? Swooooon! Perfect book boyfriend material and he may be my favourite of the heroes so far? Bold claim, I know. Borison just knows how to write the ideal “man written by a woman” that we all love 🙏🏻

I loved seeing our old Lovelight friends (and luckily they still let Charlie and Nova shine!) and can’t wait to see what Borison has next in store for us!

I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. 🤍

business casual is the perfect ending to the lovelight series. this is nova and charlie’s book, beckett’s (in the weeds) sister and stella’s (lovelight farms) brother. nova is a tattooist opening her own shop in inglewild, and charlie is covering for stella at the farm while she is on her honeymoon.

it is a while until this is released so i won’t say too much. however, nova and charlie are the epitome of perfect. everything about the progression of their relationship and the development of themselves as individuals was so lovely to read. their vulnerability with one another makes their story so special, and i really love how the author wrote it. i absolutely adored the snippets of the couples from the previous books too.

fans of the series will be so happy with this concluding story. nova and charlie’s book has been long-awaited and is far from disappointing. returning to lovelight farms for the final time will be a great read for everyone. 💚

i am honoured to have received this arc from netgalley and panmacmillan - i literally teared up when i received the email. becca has been my fav author for a while now ever since reading lovelight farms in 2022 and so reading this was like coming home - exactly how charlie feels when he’s back in inglewild

charlie and nova were the perfect ending for me. i related so hard to their thoughts, feelings and struggles and just how they were - they felt so real to me. i adored how becca portrayed them and kept their struggles and emotions clear on the page - how she wrote about it was perfect and i wouldn’t change it for the world

their love story was beautiful to watch unfold. the storyline was unique yet had similar tropes to many of my favs and so it was truly a wonderful experience for me.

getting to be with all of the characters again made me the happiest gal in the world - i’m so whipping out my inglewild phone tree mug after this and having a tea. being back at the farm and layla’s with caleb and beckett and evie - with stella and luka tying the knot was the best way to end the series.

and as becca said in the acknowledgments, this isn’t goodbye, we’ll see each other again or however many times i want to reread my fav series

i will forever support becca and i’m already excited for her next work 👀 which i’m keeping my beady eyes out for as i know she’s already keeping secrets

Welcome back to the idyllic town of Inglewild... 🍁

Business Casual can be enjoyed as a standalone rom-com, but I feel like you'd get way more out of it if you read the previous books in the Lovelight series as they are all interconnected. By reading the previous books first, you get a deeper appreciation of the ongoing growth of previous characters/relationships and are more emotionally invested in their journey. I absolutely adored the callbacks, especially to our original hazelnut latte drinking couple - Luka and Stella.

The smalltown setting of Inglewild is what appeals to me most about this series. It's carefully constructed to provide as many cosy vibes as possible. It's straight out of a Hallmark movie, in the best possible way.

Charlie and Nova have undeniable chemistry from the first chapter. Charlie has ADHD and I think this is really represented well, although could have been explored in more depth.

The stakes are pretty low as Charlie appears to have the flexibility and financial freedom to basically follow his heart from the get go, but I understand his hesitance to fully commit due to his self-esteem and toxic relationship with his father.

Don't be mistaken for thinking this book is just a cute rom-com. There's toe-curling spice that's written perfectly. Charlie is definitely the king of foreplay and dirty talk. None of their physical interactions seem forced or just added for shock value. Their relationship is incredibly sweet and endearing.

Business Casual is the perfect cosy romance to curl up to and is a great addition to the Lovelight series.
