Despite the initial bout of miscommunication which usually irks me in a romance, Charlie and Nova became fast favourites of mine.
An easy 5 stars, this book has it all. All the usual Lovelight characters we know and love but I adored getting to know these two. The ultimate grumpy sunshine pair!
Loved the migraine rep from our girl Nova too. That was sensitively done and I felt seen.
Sad to see the end of the series but one I’ll reread over and over!

This book follows the siblings of Stella from book one and Beckett from book two - Charlie and Nova. Charlie is Stella's half-brother who she reconnected with in book one when she found out who her father was and the two of them have been spending time together, getting to know each other so he spends a lot of time at Lovelight Farms and this is where he met Nova, Beckett's youngest sister.
The two of them have a connection but it's shown by teasing and flirting, nothing particularly serious until the night of Stella's wedding when Charlie finally gets Nova to dance with him. Nova has been pretty stressed recently as she's been opening her own tattoo studio and she really needs to unwind and Charlie might just be the perfect person to spend a night with.
Charlie is happy to do whatever Nova wants, even if it means only one night with her. He's used to not being people's first choice - he's too loud, too big and too much for most people. So he works hard to be wanted in people's lives, and that means doing whatever they want him to do.
Nova has always felt like she doesn't need anyone else in her life, or any help with anything. She's perfectly capable of doing things on her own and she feels like she has to prove to Beckett that his faith in her has never been misplaced.
The two compliment each other really well, not only do they have a connection in the bedroom, but they really boost each other up and they're quietly there for the other person when they need it. Even though sometimes their communication could be better, though as soon as Nova realises Charlie needs words she's more than happy to give him that.
I loved them both, they were such great characters and so good for each other, so supportive of what the other person is doing. My favourite part was when the whole town got together to put together a presentation convincing Charlie to leave New York where he's not happy and move to Lovelight Farms permanently. It's what he's always wanted, to feel like he belongs, and he finally gets to see that the people most important to him feel the same way about him.
Thanks to NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

After waiting so long for our final trip to Lovelight Farms I was not disappointed. Nobody writers tender love and longing like BK Borison. I was rooting for them from start to finish. Charlie and Nova will live in my heart forever!

The finale of B.K. Borison's 'Lovelight Farms' series did not disappoint. It has all of the elements I love in a good story: atmospheric setting (I mean, who doesn't want to cosy up at Layla's bakehouse?), varied cast of characters, drama, romance and wit aplenty. I also love when we have met our main characters already, as periphery members of the previous titles, and sassy Nova and smooth Charlie made their marks as the siblings of other MCs, endearing themselves to us before we ever really got to know them.
This book is as sweet, sexy and fun as its predecessors, with all the sparkle I associate with the series. I'm so glad I got to enjoy the journey these two go on (I think Charlie is probably my favourite male MC of the series?), and I 100% cried more than once reading the latter half of the book, which says enough!
Already can't wait to reread these.

5★
Thank you NetGalley for the e-arc of this book. (Even though I actually read it pretty late, but let’s not talk about that.)
I loved this! This is closer to a 6-star read than a 5. That is how much I enjoyed this book!
Thoughts:
☆ Well, first of all, this might be my favorite romance series and I’m saying that as someone who is not a romance girlie. It’s not my favorite genre to read at all. I like to pick one up here and there. But this book? This series? Amazing, loved it, a favorite! I just wanna re-read the whole thing like right now.
☆ I knew this would be a 5-star even before I picked it up. Mainly because with each book in the series the rating got higher and higher for me. I just knew this’d be it and I was right.
☆ One reason why I couldn’t give the previous books in the series a 5-star rating was the miscommunication in there. It just drove me crazy to be honest. I’m a big fan of communication. And that’s what I got from this book! I couldn’t be happier about the way Nova and Charlie talked to each other. They weren’t perfect but nobody is. And that’s one of the things I loved about it.
☆ Speaking of Nova and Charlie, let’s talk a bit about the characters. Charlie! I loved him so so much. He was so imperfectly perfect that I adored him throughout the whole story. I also saw a lot of myself in him and that just made me feel seen in a way. I cannot say enough how much I adored him. And Nova as well. She’s probably one of my favorite characters too. Especially towards the end when she realized relationships don’t take anything away from you - just her whole thing made me like her even more. I also loved them together and how they respected one another.
☆Not gonna mention other characters as this is the last one in the series and we got to know them all throughout this whole thing. I adore the town and every single person in it. What else is there to say?
☆ The writing was amazing as well. I enjoy this author’s writing a lot. And this book specifically was probably the hottest in the whole series—while also being really, really adorable.
☆ Also, let me just say… the ending? Hello? I screamed, I cried. Best ending. Loved it.
If you enjoyed the previous one in the series, you’re gonna love this one! If you haven’t read the series, pick it up, it’s worth your time! (And I’m saying this as someone who isn’t the biggest fan of romance nor series.)
As for me, I’m picking up whatever this author writes!

A fun read. An opposites attract romance, the story of Charlie and Nova. Looking forward to more books in this series.

i loved this book! charlie really is the blue print for all men.
it was really nice to read about a vulnerable mmc for a change. charlie has been an amazing side character in all the other books, so to see how his mind works was wonderful.
i loved novas character and her sassy and snarky attitude. everything about the two of them was perfect and i loved how they complimented each other!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.

Charlie and Nova have known each other forever. Charlie likes to flirt, and Nova always has a cutting response to anything Charlie says. However recently, their chemistry has been undeniable. They decide to get together for one night, and everything will go back to normal the next day. Right?
The fourth instalment of the Lovelight Farms series was just as fun as the first three. With the black cat - golden retriever trope and lots of tension, this was the perfect way to end such a sweet series. I can’t wait to see what the author does next.
If you are looking for a sweet, funny, small town romance. Read the first three books too🩷
Thank you NetGalley, B.K. Borison, and Pam Macmillan for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

A sweet and sexy addition to this comforting series
I fell in love with this comfort read series when I read Lovelight Farms, a book about a Christmas tree farm in the middle of the summer two years ago, so it was with a bittersweet feeling that I began reading the final book in the series!
These books are the cutest, like getting a hug, and are generally quite low on drama, and I've just loved the community in Inglewild. The meddling friends and family are so close knit, I adore them!
So to the latest book Business Casual, the author B.K. Borison says this is the last book, but that she's left the door slightly open as she can't beat to say goodbye to the characters who helped fight her loneliness during COVID 😭
I loved it!
🌹It featured all the previous couple and the meddling but endearing folk from the town.
🌹The whole we're attracted to each other but don't want a relationship, so let's bang and get it out of our system..because that always works 😂
🌹Top notch banter and flirting
🌹Caring relationships
🌹Nova, I loved her and her tattoo shop, follow yours dreams girl!
🌹Charlie, Charlie, always putting everyone else first 💛
🌹loneliness and anxiety
🌹all the emotions
So yeah I love this series! I recommend reading them in order to get to know all of the character properly 👍

Oh, this was so bittersweet 🥹 I’m so sad this series is over but this was such a perfect finale & probably my favourite of the four! I didn’t think I could love another couple more than Stella & Luca, then Beckett & Evie, then Caleb & Layla but honestly I think Charlie & Nova were a tie with Caleb & Layla, they were SO damn sweet.
I switched between physical, audio & ebook for this (the commitment to reading it at all times🥲) and loved every format. The audio narration was SO well done by Pippa Jayne & Benjamin Walker, and just added to the enjoyment of the plot.
The character development in this story was flawless. Nova already had brilliant characterisation as the youngest of the Porter siblings but Charlie’s character arc is what really shone— he’s always been the joker & the guy having the best time & I loved seeing the more vulnerable side to him. We get to understand him a lot more in this plot.
The chemistry between Charlie & Nova, right from the start, was perfect & I loved the constant quips & easygoing teasing between them. Of course, the small town of Inglewild itself makes these books the perfection they are: the town characters that all know everything about each other & the goings on, the phone tree, the bonds between them all.
I feel ya Charlie because I too, would like to be adopted into the Inglewild family. Heartwarming, wholesome, spicy, cosy & sweet: this was the perfect ending to a perfect series & I implore you all to read these asap!
✨ He calls her Nova girl🥹
✨ She’s a tattoo artist & gives him his first tattoo
✨ ADHD & chronic migraine rep
✨ The way he looks after her when she gets sick + blanket burritos her

Round up to 3.5
I had high hopes returning to Lovelight Farms, but this book exceeded every expectation! Charlie and Nova’s story is tender, sweet, and absolutely captivating. From the moment Nova started flirting back with Charlie, I was hooked, squealing with delight until the very end. Their growth throughout the book made them even more endearing. Infinity stars for this one—wrapping up the series is so bittersweet!
Tropes I loved:
✨ Small town romance
✨ Friends to lovers
✨ He falls first
✨ Found family
✨ Golden retriever MMC
✨ Black cat FMC
Inglewild and its residents are vividly brought to life, from the quirky Christmas tree farm to the perfectly imagined bakehouse. BK’s writing has only improved over the course of the series, making this final installment a joy to read.
Charlie and Nova are particularly special to me, with lovely ADHD representation and relatable perfectionism and people-pleasing tendencies. Even though I read this in bursts during a busy week, I never found myself skipping or skimming.
Why only 3.5 stars then? First, I wish there had been a more definitive bookend to the series. The future of Lovelight Farms was mentioned, and while the epilogue was wonderful, a bit more closure for the overarching story would have been nice.
Second, the gap between books three and four made this one feel slightly disconnected, almost like a spinoff rather than a core part of the series. I’m curious to see if this changes upon a reread of all four books.
Overall, sweet and packed full of my favourite tropes.

There are some points in a reading journey where you find characters that you immediately connect with and feel so similar to.
This is how I felt with Charlie while reading Business Casual.
I immediately felt so connected to him and realised that we share so many of the same insecurities and feelings. I’ve felt every single one of the same securities he’s had in my life and still feel them now.
Business Casual has to be my favourite from the Lovelight series just because it felt so GOOD to see a character who feels the same way I do fine his place in the world and happiness. I loved Charlie and Nova and this book just felt liked it wrapped around me and gave me a hug (cheesy I know).
This was an amazing ending to this series that I completely adore.

I completely ate this up. I loved every last second and raced through it in record time because I just couldn't get enough of Nova and Charlie. These two are funny, hot, and come with some emotional baggage that brings the kind of tension I love to their 'business casual' fling. It was so sweet to see their interactions develop throughout the story, and see how this pair really got to understand each other and pushed for communication. This will make you laugh and tug at your heartstrings, as these two navigate what they think they want and deserve as they sneak around town together. Charlie being super invested in the town is absolutely adorable, and I can't get enough of his obsession with the phone tree and joining committees. BK Borison has a way of making her characters real, and heartfelt, and vulnerable, and writing spicy scenes that are wildly hot and delicious. She could write a tech manual and I'd read it. The small town energy is great, the sense of community and the quirks of the town making it incredibly charming, and of course there's all our favourite characters from the previous books in the series. I can't possibly find fault with this book and I'm giving it all the stars!
I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

This was EVERYTHING I wanted from the final book in this series. I am truly obsessed with these characters. Joy in spades with so many heartfelt moments I absolutely cried a few times.
I loved Nova opening herself up to Charlie and the abundance of love he brought, but also the way she became such a safe space for him. The way they take care of each other, in more ways than one, throughout the book is gorgeous and the happiness they find by the end had me weeping. I adored the family dynamics we got between Nova and Beckett, and Charlie and Stella, and the part the town and its people continued to play in this.
I love the way Becs writes and I have so many highlights where I was just swooning over the world she has created and the love she has written between these two. Sad to see the end of this series but so very excited to read everything she goes on to write.

The upside of this: I almost organized a celebration when I received an early copy of this book (the amount of texts that I exchanged with my friends in FULL CAPS was not normal)… The downside after reading it was the challenge to make justice to one of my favorite romance reads of the year with only (but not limited to) words.
Let’s focus on 5 elements I loved about this story:
-Two main characters that are quite different but are somehow intrigued about each other
-Funny moments, thoughtful moments, moments of questioning what is right and who we are and how we deal with family and co workers and where are the lines between those two.
-Interactions with other characters and small gestures in daily life (I really appreciate when authors remember to include little moments of daily life, like work related scenes, since we spend so much of our awake time living through those)
-ALL.THE.TENSION.
-Small town setting, which is frankly not always my favorite in stories, but very well done here with quirks and a range of personalities
Lastly, it’s difficult to put into words how much I connected with Charlie inner turmoil. It made a big impact on me. I loved his generosity, but also his flaws.
I am now proceeding to have a reread of my paperback and add this book to the “comfort readings”… will also probably give a try to the audio, just to see how it sounds😉.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.

This was incredible and I LOVED it. It was a hallmark dream of a book that had me laughing out loud multiple times throughout. It was the first book I’ve read within this series and it was a brilliant one to start with. For B. K. Borison to finish a series so strong is a testament to her writing which I’ll be diving into as soon as I can.
Full of tension, banter, the cutest nicknames and all the love. If you’re looking for a quick romance that warms your heart this is the book for you.
I loved both Nora and Charlie and their relationship with each other and also their families made this such a feel good read. I will never get over them!!!
Truly my heart hurts that this book is over but I’m feeling so grateful I have the rest of the series to jump into and enjoy.
Thank you to netgalley and publisher for my arc of this book!!!

Spicy rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3.75/5
Fluff rating: 💖💖💖💖 4/5
My heart hasn’t felt so full of fluffy, warm fuzzy feelings after reading a book before. I’m officially obsessed with Inglewild and the beautiful characters who live there!
This was a friends with benefits to he falls first small town romance and I left zero crumbs when I ate up every page. It’s was emotional and feel good. I loved both MCs and how relatable they were, not to mention how perfect they were for each other. Charlie softened out Nova’s sharp edges and Nova cared for and loved Charlie the way he’s deserved his whole life. I absolutely loved the banter between them. Honestly my heart has a huge Charlie Milford shaped hole in it now this book is over (I need this man protecting at all costs!)
It was funny in all the right places whilst also having heart achingly beautiful and emotional inner monologues and character growth. It had the small town element executed perfectly. Everyone harmlessly in each other’s business (the phone tree - howling).
It’s the perfect wholesome, low stakes romance read for the summer with spice that surprised me in the best way and will leave you panting for more. If you need a sweet and spicy read to make your heart feel cozy and full then I highly recommend a read of this.
