Ah that old thought of ‘this is just one night’ - the reader sits there giggling and kicking their little socked feet knowing full well that it won’t be just one night

I love Charlie and Nova!!! They are the perfect little friends with benefits/best friends little sister/small town romance storyline. I loved the fact she was the tattoo artist and he was the big city money man.

Their chemistry was on fire and watching the whole story unfold was a fabulous read and definitely my favourite BK book!

I’m so excited to see what BK brings out next

5 stars but really I mean infinity stars!

This was my favourite book of the series and what a way to end it!
I laughed I cried and I adored the 2 main characters I just wanted them to win from the very beginning.
Such a cosy heartfelt and steamy romance.

I took way too long to finish this, mainly because I don’t wanna accept that this is the last installment in the Lovelight Farms series! I don’t wanna leave these people!

Business Casual has everything I want from a book. I’m not surprised that I immediately fell in love with the characters, cause B.K. Borison knows how to write them so well! Charlie is a puppy dog who just wants to be loved and Nova is the little sister who finally wants to prove that she can do it on her own without the help of anyone. When they pair up it’s not just instant chemistry but perfectly right! The love, understanding and respect these two have for each other jumps at you from the pages! It’s like a warm hug!

I really loved their journey to self discovery and the arc of their relationship! It’s believable, grown up and so heartwarming! The previous cast and all the other side characters add their share to the mix and make this book perfect! Not the first time I’m thinking about moving to a farm! How can I leave them all behind?

I guess I’ll just have to take a piece of all of them with me in my heart.

Thank you to Netgalley and PanMacmillan for giving me an eARC of this book and exchange for an honest review.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

what a fitting end to the lovelight farm series! this book covers nova porter and charlie milford's story and it is filled with all of the usual pining and magic that we have come to expect from becs. it has: one night to get it out of our system vibes, he's a finance guy/she's a tattoo artist vibes, secret relationship, small town.

it was beautiful and bittersweet - i dont want tk say goodbye to the inglewild phone tree and the town we have grown to love but i am also super excited for becs new book, first time caller.

book releases on 16/07/2024. thank you @authorbkborison @panmacmillan @bookbreakuk @netgalley for the arc.

What a beautiful way to see off the Inglewild family 🥰.
Business Casual is Charlie and Nova's story, but man, the way that Charlie stood out. I especially loved his voice: he's a flirt, and a goof, and the sweetest boy. Charlie and Nova make perfect sense together: they balance each other out, and are a safe space and comfort to each other.
Traveling to Inglewild is always fun, and meeting recurrent characters again in this book was just splendid.
I have been a reader of B.K.Borison since her indie days (I even have a review post up on my IG from way back), and it's truly heartwarming to see her work reach a bigger audience.
Business Casual is immensely satisfying in its conclusion to this beautiful series. It is definitely going to be one of my ultimate comfort books - the whole series, in fact - and I am all for that. I cannot believe that this is goodbye to the Lovelight series. Thank you, B.K.Borison, to have brought Inglewild to us 💕 - forever a fan.
(In case all this gushing doesn't tell you, Business Casual goes to my favorites shelf).

5⭑

Tropes;
- friends with benefits
- small town romance
- ADHD & migraines rep
- reverse grumpy x sunshine
- dual POV

BK Borison saved the best until last with this book. Business Casual was SOOOO GOOD.

We follow Charlie and Nova, who start up a friends with benefits agreement as the two of them aren’t looking for a relationship at the moment but can’t deny the attraction they feel for each other.

I loved everything about this book!!! Charlie and Nova are hands down my favourite characters from the Lovelight universe. Their romance development was very nicely done and didn’t feel rushed.

I also loved that we got to see all of the couples from the previous books!! It’s one of the best found family series I’ve read and Business Casual was a wonderful way to end the series.

Thank you NetGalley & the publisher for sending me an early copy in exchange for my honest review.

Five shining stars for this gem of a book.
Business Casual was one of my most anticipated books for this year and my expectations were sky-high, but B.K. Borison knocked it out of the park and Charlie & Nova literally stole my heart.
Their chemistry, banter and vulnerability with each other were top-tier. I swooned, snorted, cackled and wiped away copious tears...couldn't have asked for anything more perfect!
I can't believe the Lovelight series is over...but what an amazing and tender journey it has been. I'm so glad I stumbled upon it by complete chance years ago, because B.K. Borison is now one of my favourite authors ever. I already cannot wait for her next book.

What to expect:
- reverse grumpy x sunshine
- friends to lovers
- he falls first
- he takes care of her when she's sick
- found family
- small town

Lovelight Farms stole my heart, and I loved every single minute of it ❤️

I have DEVOURED this series in a single week, and I am so, so sad that this was the end of this Small Town Farm Romance escape (I am really happy that I have book #1 to read in December since I did not want to read the Christmas book in June).

"She looks like she could eat me alive.
I fucking love it."

Business Casual was probably my favorite. Charlie's struggles really hit a nerve, watching Nova deal with her perfect family and overcome her insecurities was next level heartwarming. I don't have any tattoos, but I would love to get one of her signature minimalistic flower tattoos, and then move into her studio (the plant wall has got to be AMAZING).

"I try to convince myself I'm not with all the ridiculous shit I do, but I'm lonely all the time. I go to work, and I keep myself busy with things I don't care about, and I come back to a fancy apartment with everything I could ever want, and I feel ... nothing. Empty."

It is cute, romantic, but also funny, and made me actually laugh out loud and giggle/grin multiple times in public, it has different family dynamics, our lovely couples from the previous books, it has the beautiful Lovelight farm, the nature, the small town gossip, Nova and Charlie have character and chemistry, and like I mentioned in an update, all the books have spice, but this one feels the horniest (I am not complaining). I loved the banter, the texts?!, the conversations and interactions, and all the small little details that make Lovelight Farms, Lovelight Farms.

"That's probably the kind of guy she usually goes for.
I bet he's absolute shit at doing his taxes."

I will stop now to not spoil anything, just read the series when you are in the mood for some cute cosy, entertaining light but spicy romcoms, you won't regret it ❤️

I will definitely get book #1 and #4 as paperback copies, like I already did with #2 and #3 to display my new favorite comfort book series and the breathtakingly beautiful covers. I can still not get over them 😱♥️

After reading A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston last week, which is basically about a woman stumbling upon the small town of her favorite romance book series with all the characters and everything, I picked up the books of Lovelight Farms. And now I cannot stop thinking about all those books, and how badly I want to visit Lovelight Farms, eat Strawberry Shortcake at Layla's bakery, get a tattoo at Nova's, walk through the trees of the farm and be a part of the Phone tree. I miss it already, and I just know that I will reread and reread this whenever I feel like it and need a pick me up ❤️

Thank you, Netgalley, Pan Macmillan, and B.K. Borison for the arc in exchange for an honest review!!!

I put off reading this for a while because i was not ready to say goodbye to this series. Gah, this was the best out of an already amazing series. Borison is just the absolute G.O.A.T. of small town. Nova and Charlie's story was steamy, funny and just the absolute best end to the lovelight series. I don't want to spoil the story, but pleaseeee read this book. If you haven't read any of Borison's series then you are MISSING OUT.

Quickly becoming my favourite of the 'Lovelight Farms' series, this romance was a joy to read. The main couple had such a fun dynamic, their chemistry was undeniable and I appreciated their deeper connection. I loved the writing style. It was easy to read, yet felt elevated. This helped build such a cosy atmosphere, making me reluctant to leave the fictional small town behind.

Nova and Charlie revelled in flirting with each other. Their relationship kind of felt out of nowhere, but it was still immensely fun. I appreciated how, as they spent more time together, they dug deeper into their secret fears and insecurities. I loved that they each represented a sense of home for the other. With Charlie, Nova felt braver, and with Nova, Charlie felt worthy. In this way, the novel contained surprising moments of depth. Nova and Charlie were definitely the most mature couple out of 'Lovelight Farms'.

Would I recommend?... Yes! This author just seems to get better and better, so I'm excited to see what she writes next!

This book was a DNF for me. It was different than what I was expecting. I have read mixed signals from this series and I really liked it. I don’t know why I wasn’t able to connect with the characters in this one. As soon as the book started, I was being introduced to so many characters. I couldn’t really see a proper connection between Nova and Charlie.

Maybe I will come back to it once I read the other two books and change my thoughts.

Thank you so much for providing me with the eARC @NetGalley 🫶🏻

Actual Rating: 3.5 stars

Business Casual is the fourth book in the ‘Lovelight Farms’ series, following Beckett’s younger sister, Nova and Stella’s half brother, Charlie. Nova is a tattoo artist who is excited to be opening her own tattoo parlour whereas Charlie works in New York, who often makes regular trips down to the charming small town of Inglewild. In a place where love is in the air, Nova and Charlie simply are looking for a good time and nothing more. With Luka and Stella away on their honeymoon, Charlie takes over in helping with the farm and is only in town for a month. They decided that a one time thing should be enough. But is it?

I think this was the perfect end to this series, I loved seeing Nova and Charlie’s characters develop throughout this book, especially the moments where they could be themselves around each other, showing off their insecurities and vulnerabilities. They really balanced each other out so well. The scene where Charlie was looking after Nova when she had a migraine had me squealing. I loved to see the ADHD and migraine representation in this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and B.K. Borison for sending an ARC copy of Business Casual!

This is the fourth instalment in the Lovelight series and it follows the story of Nova and Charlie. What started out as just a one night thing between two friends, we see Nova and Charlie develop a 'business casual' relationship. It was only supposed to be one night but Charlie is in town for longer that Nova thought he would be so why not give it a go for a few weeks?

This is the first book i've read by Borison, and even though it is the fourth book in the series I found it was quite easy to understand the other relationships in the book and get a hang of what was going on. I am so grateful for being sent this arc as I have wanted to start this series for so long and I have now been fully convinced to buy myself the whole series. I absolutely loved the vibes of this book, even though it is summer right now I live in England and half the time it feels like autumn so I was ready for the cozy autumn feels of this with it being set in the 'fall' period.

Charlie and Nova really bring out the best in each other, it was so refreshing to read a book with proper communication between the two main characters, it didn't really feel like there was much use of the miscommunication trope which I am so thankful for, they really just got each other. Idiots in love are honestly my favourite thing to read, especially the realisation moment it was just so well written and fitting to their characters, their relationship just felt right. I also liked how the book obviously was about them but we also got to see their relationships with other characters in the book and their own character developments.

KEY TROPES:
- brothers best friend
- black cat gf/ golden retriever bf
- secret relationship
- small town shenanigans
- opposites attract
- he's obsessed with her

A easy 5 stars from me wow, I devoured this book in a day. It was so nice to be back in Inglewild.

What to expect

💚Golden retriever x Black Cat
💚One night stand turned friends w/ benefits to lovers
💚Small town
💚Autumn vibes
💚No 3rd act breakup

This book sizzled with the chemistry between Charlie and Nova. Their dynamic, banter and love story as a whole was perfection.
I really liked Charlie, his character was written so well with his mental struggles and self doubt, but also the way he cares for people and makes everyone else around him happy and bright. The ADHD representation was done perfectly.
Nova was also such a great character, and I loved her growth and journey in this book too.
Of course we got to check in on all our favourites from previous books in this series. Honestly this was a hug in a book, I got a warm feeling inside reading it. I want to live in Inglewild so badly, and I didn't want it to end.

Very highly recommend this series to any fans of a great romance, with a love of small towns!
It's a series I can keep coming back to and loving everytime.

Thank you @bookbreakuk for the ARC, will be posting near release day my review on my Instagram.

Business Casual by BK Borison is the fourth and final book in the Lovelight Farms Series. This is Nova and Charlie‘s story.

Nova is a tattoo studio and about to open her own shop and I loved seeing her passion. She is very creative and talented, and the story shows how much love and hard work is necessary to open up your own shop. Nova isn’t looking for a relationship but enjoys spending time with Charlie and he helps her with administration and finance tasks. I saw a lot of myself in Nova and that made her my new favorite heroine from this series. I also loved seeing her relationship with her brother Beckett and this whole book is a love letter to this whole amazing series.

Charlie is such a dream man and I loved how he helped others around him, especially Nova. He is charming and a successful financial advisor, but he isn’t enjoying the city life anymore and therefore is relieved to take a break at Lovelight Farms. He is just amazing, and I loved everything about him.

Nova and Charlie have a great friendship from the start, and I loved their flirting and banter. At a wedding, they not only dance together, but Nova wants to go one step further and that opens up their conversation about feelings beautifully. I just love these two together and they complement each other perfectly. They are my new favorite Lovelight couple, and I’m completely enamored with this book.

Overall, Business Casual is the perfect ending to the Lovelight Farms Series and Nova and Charlie‘s story is my new favorite from this series. 5 stars.

I ADORED this, it’s my new favourite Lovelight Farms book!! The characters’ flaws were so perfect and relatable. Charlie and Nova have such great chemistry and their relationship feels so natural. I loved how B.K. Borison changed her usual plot structure in a way that would work for her couple. I was so sad to say goodbye to the wonderful Inglewild but can’t wait for what Borison does next!

5 ⭐️

Safe to say, I ate this up!

This book follows Charlie Milford, a risk-taking executive, and Nova Porter, a focused tattoo artist. They both agree to a no-strings-attached night to deal with their attraction. However, their plan backfires when they find themselves wanting more amidst the chaos of a small town and unexpected circumstances.

To be fair, this is the second book I read from this author —I only read Lovelight Farms (first book in the series)— and I feel like I should’ve read the previous books before getting into this one because of this one being the last instalment in the Lovelight Series… And I enjoyed this one so much that I’m gonna have to go read the previous books ASAP!!!!!

Their flirty banter was everything and I loved how Charlie (the MMC) became so clumsy when Nova (the FMC) started to flirt back —I found it hilarious. The plot is also very well-paced with the perfect amount of slow burn and you can even feel the moment they fall for each other and how they get attached to each other.

I don’t think I have a single complaint about this book. It was just perfect and I think it has the perfect ending to a series.

Read if you like:
🌸 small town.
🌸 reversed grumpy x sunshine.
🌸 friends to lovers.
🌸 brother’s best friend.
🌸 no third-act break up.

Thank you to Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Business Casual by BK Borison will be coming out on July 18th.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this was my favorite of the Lovelight books and the perfect ending to the series. I’ve enjoyed them all, but Charlie and Nova’s story holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on it from the very first hint to their potential future relationship and not only did it not disappoint but it exceeded my very high expectations.

We had had glimpses of Charlie and Nova in other books in the series but I was still surprised by their story and what both characters hid beneath the surface. Specially Charlie. So far, he had been presented to us as Stella’s flirt of a brother, a good time guy, someone fun to be around, and I loved him already, but he turned to be so much more and being inside his mind, getting to know him better and seeing more of his vulnerable side was a treat. It pulled at my heartstrings and made me fall even more in love with him. And the same goes for Nova. We knew her as Beckett’s little sister, a tattoo artist very focused on opening her own tattoo studio who didn’t want to disappoint her big brother, the person who believed in her the most. But she’s dealing with more than that too.

We can see they are both insanely attracted to each other and their chemistry is undeniable, but because of their personal life experiences and circumstances, neither one of them is looking for a serious relationship and, when the time comes, they agree on having a “business casual” arrangement, but the more time they spend together and the more they discover about each other, the harder it gets to keep it that way.

There’re so many things I would like to get into about this book, I could gush endlessly about it, but I don’t want to give too much away, because discovering these characters, how they think, what they’re going through and dealing with in their daily lives and how they irrevocably fall for each other is something that every reader should get to enjoy knowing as little as possible. But I'll say some of the themes in this book are very relatable and ones that many of us experience at some point in our lives (imposter symdrome, loneliness, autoimposed pressure to meet someone else's expectations, etc.).

Apart from Nova and Charlie, we get to see other characters that we already know and love, more so given who these two are and who they’re related to. And so the family dynamics and the friendships and the townies’ shenanigans (who wouldn’t want to be on the town’s phone tree?) play a big role in this book too and will not only continue to charm anyone who is already a fan of the series but also win over anyone who reads this book as a standalone (even though I recommend reading the other books first to enjoy this one to the fullest).

This book has been one my top reads of the year so far and I couldn’t recommend it more.
