She did it again! This book was everything I love. I was swooning left, right and centre!
A wonderful story.

Actual Rating: 3.5 stars
Business Casual is the fourth book in the ‘Lovelight Farms’ series, following Beckett’s younger sister, Nova and Stella’s half brother, Charlie. Nova is a tattoo artist who is excited to be opening her own tattoo parlour whereas Charlie works in New York, who often makes regular trips down to the charming small town of Inglewild. In a place where love is in the air, Nova and Charlie simply are looking for a good time and nothing more. With Luka and Stella away on their honeymoon, Charlie takes over in helping with the farm and is only in town for a month. They decided that a one time thing should be enough. But is it?
I think this was the perfect end to this series, I loved seeing Nova and Charlie’s characters develop throughout this book, especially the moments where they could be themselves around each other, showing off their insecurities and vulnerabilities. They really balanced each other out so well. The scene where Charlie was looking after Nova when she had a migraine had me squealing. I loved to see the ADHD and migraine representation in this book.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and B.K. Borison for sending an ARC copy of Business Casual!
This is the fourth instalment in the Lovelight series and it follows the story of Nova and Charlie. What started out as just a one night thing between two friends, we see Nova and Charlie develop a 'business casual' relationship. It was only supposed to be one night but Charlie is in town for longer that Nova thought he would be so why not give it a go for a few weeks?
This is the first book i've read by Borison, and even though it is the fourth book in the series I found it was quite easy to understand the other relationships in the book and get a hang of what was going on. I am so grateful for being sent this arc as I have wanted to start this series for so long and I have now been fully convinced to buy myself the whole series. I absolutely loved the vibes of this book, even though it is summer right now I live in England and half the time it feels like autumn so I was ready for the cozy autumn feels of this with it being set in the 'fall' period.
Charlie and Nova really bring out the best in each other, it was so refreshing to read a book with proper communication between the two main characters, it didn't really feel like there was much use of the miscommunication trope which I am so thankful for, they really just got each other. Idiots in love are honestly my favourite thing to read, especially the realisation moment it was just so well written and fitting to their characters, their relationship just felt right. I also liked how the book obviously was about them but we also got to see their relationships with other characters in the book and their own character developments.
KEY TROPES:
- brothers best friend
- black cat gf/ golden retriever bf
- secret relationship
- small town shenanigans
- opposites attract
- he's obsessed with her

A easy 5 stars from me wow, I devoured this book in a day. It was so nice to be back in Inglewild.
What to expect
💚Golden retriever x Black Cat
💚One night stand turned friends w/ benefits to lovers
💚Small town
💚Autumn vibes
💚No 3rd act breakup
This book sizzled with the chemistry between Charlie and Nova. Their dynamic, banter and love story as a whole was perfection.
I really liked Charlie, his character was written so well with his mental struggles and self doubt, but also the way he cares for people and makes everyone else around him happy and bright. The ADHD representation was done perfectly.
Nova was also such a great character, and I loved her growth and journey in this book too.
Of course we got to check in on all our favourites from previous books in this series. Honestly this was a hug in a book, I got a warm feeling inside reading it. I want to live in Inglewild so badly, and I didn't want it to end.
Very highly recommend this series to any fans of a great romance, with a love of small towns!
It's a series I can keep coming back to and loving everytime.
Thank you @bookbreakuk for the ARC, will be posting near release day my review on my Instagram.

Business Casual by BK Borison is the fourth and final book in the Lovelight Farms Series. This is Nova and Charlie‘s story.
Nova is a tattoo studio and about to open her own shop and I loved seeing her passion. She is very creative and talented, and the story shows how much love and hard work is necessary to open up your own shop. Nova isn’t looking for a relationship but enjoys spending time with Charlie and he helps her with administration and finance tasks. I saw a lot of myself in Nova and that made her my new favorite heroine from this series. I also loved seeing her relationship with her brother Beckett and this whole book is a love letter to this whole amazing series.
Charlie is such a dream man and I loved how he helped others around him, especially Nova. He is charming and a successful financial advisor, but he isn’t enjoying the city life anymore and therefore is relieved to take a break at Lovelight Farms. He is just amazing, and I loved everything about him.
Nova and Charlie have a great friendship from the start, and I loved their flirting and banter. At a wedding, they not only dance together, but Nova wants to go one step further and that opens up their conversation about feelings beautifully. I just love these two together and they complement each other perfectly. They are my new favorite Lovelight couple, and I’m completely enamored with this book.
Overall, Business Casual is the perfect ending to the Lovelight Farms Series and Nova and Charlie‘s story is my new favorite from this series. 5 stars.

I ADORED this, it’s my new favourite Lovelight Farms book!! The characters’ flaws were so perfect and relatable. Charlie and Nova have such great chemistry and their relationship feels so natural. I loved how B.K. Borison changed her usual plot structure in a way that would work for her couple. I was so sad to say goodbye to the wonderful Inglewild but can’t wait for what Borison does next!

my love for this book knows no bounds. I loved it. I cherished it. it was beautiful, sweet, everything you want a rom com to be

Safe to say, I ate this up!
This book follows Charlie Milford, a risk-taking executive, and Nova Porter, a focused tattoo artist. They both agree to a no-strings-attached night to deal with their attraction. However, their plan backfires when they find themselves wanting more amidst the chaos of a small town and unexpected circumstances.
To be fair, this is the second book I read from this author —I only read Lovelight Farms (first book in the series)— and I feel like I should’ve read the previous books before getting into this one because of this one being the last instalment in the Lovelight Series… And I enjoyed this one so much that I’m gonna have to go read the previous books ASAP!!!!!
Their flirty banter was everything and I loved how Charlie (the MMC) became so clumsy when Nova (the FMC) started to flirt back —I found it hilarious. The plot is also very well-paced with the perfect amount of slow burn and you can even feel the moment they fall for each other and how they get attached to each other.
I don’t think I have a single complaint about this book. It was just perfect and I think it has the perfect ending to a series.
Read if you like:
🌸 small town.
🌸 reversed grumpy x sunshine.
🌸 friends to lovers.
🌸 brother’s best friend.
🌸 no third-act break up.
Thank you to Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Business Casual by BK Borison will be coming out on July 18th.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this was my favorite of the Lovelight books and the perfect ending to the series. I’ve enjoyed them all, but Charlie and Nova’s story holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on it from the very first hint to their potential future relationship and not only did it not disappoint but it exceeded my very high expectations.
We had had glimpses of Charlie and Nova in other books in the series but I was still surprised by their story and what both characters hid beneath the surface. Specially Charlie. So far, he had been presented to us as Stella’s flirt of a brother, a good time guy, someone fun to be around, and I loved him already, but he turned to be so much more and being inside his mind, getting to know him better and seeing more of his vulnerable side was a treat. It pulled at my heartstrings and made me fall even more in love with him. And the same goes for Nova. We knew her as Beckett’s little sister, a tattoo artist very focused on opening her own tattoo studio who didn’t want to disappoint her big brother, the person who believed in her the most. But she’s dealing with more than that too.
We can see they are both insanely attracted to each other and their chemistry is undeniable, but because of their personal life experiences and circumstances, neither one of them is looking for a serious relationship and, when the time comes, they agree on having a “business casual” arrangement, but the more time they spend together and the more they discover about each other, the harder it gets to keep it that way.
There’re so many things I would like to get into about this book, I could gush endlessly about it, but I don’t want to give too much away, because discovering these characters, how they think, what they’re going through and dealing with in their daily lives and how they irrevocably fall for each other is something that every reader should get to enjoy knowing as little as possible. But I'll say some of the themes in this book are very relatable and ones that many of us experience at some point in our lives (imposter symdrome, loneliness, autoimposed pressure to meet someone else's expectations, etc.).
Apart from Nova and Charlie, we get to see other characters that we already know and love, more so given who these two are and who they’re related to. And so the family dynamics and the friendships and the townies’ shenanigans (who wouldn’t want to be on the town’s phone tree?) play a big role in this book too and will not only continue to charm anyone who is already a fan of the series but also win over anyone who reads this book as a standalone (even though I recommend reading the other books first to enjoy this one to the fullest).
This book has been one my top reads of the year so far and I couldn’t recommend it more.

4/5 stars
This book was everything I needed for another small town romance. I absolutely adore every single man that B.K. Borison writes and could fall in love with them over and over again.
This book is one of those Hallmark films of the big city boy turning to the small town life for the girl he’s obsessed with and it’s everything it needed to be, even if the premise itself isn’t new. Nova’s character was incredible with the representation of a good family dynamic that is burdened by expectation and the representation of chronic migraines. On the other hand, Charlie was also a really good representation of the not-so-good side of family relationships and how sometimes your found family is better than the one you were born into.
This series as a whole is so feel good and I will politely (but aggressively) recommend this series to everyone!

4.5 stars. I love this! A brilliant final book in Inglewild. I really enjoyed the contrast between Nova and Charlie and the banter between them, it was nice to see how the set up from the other books progressed and how clueless they were to how obvious their feelings were. Charlie is an ultimate book boyfriend who would do anything for her and I loved the ADHD rep from him. He was so sweet and I adored all the things he did for everyone. The growth of the bothe of them was great and how they managed to allow themselves to be happy! I am sad that this is the end but I'll definitely be rereading all the books again! I also can't wait to see what BK Borison has coming up next!

Nova Porter is comfortable in her solitude and likes the quiet. However, due to her anxiousness about opening her Tattoo studio in her hometown where she grew up and where all her favorite people live she needs something to soothe it and a hookup might just be the solution coz Nova is NOT looking for a relationship. Here comes Charlie Milford, he is the biggest flirt on this planet 💓, charming, and charismatic. He is the opposite of Nova and has been in and out of her life for some time coz he lives in New York and he's Stella's brother and her brother's best friend 🙉🙈.
It was supposed to be a one-night stand for both to get it out of their system, which then led to a #BusinessCasual relationship with no strings attached and no expectations. Will they be able to keep it casual? 🤔🤭🫣
THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!! 😍 😍 I can't express enough how it made me feel. It hooked me from start to finish and I was over the moon about Charlie & Nova💃🏻❤️.
Their friendship and then how their feelings grew for each other slowly and beautifully 😍. The found family troop is my favorite and it was portrayed nicely. Charlie's character and how it developed and the way he opened up and flourished, the same applies to Nova it was all perfect. Thank you so much to @netgalley and the publisher for granting me an ARC of #BusinessCasual in exchange for my honest review.
Xoxo💋

✨Business Casual - BK Borison ✨
This is the fourth and final instalment in the Lovelight series and what a way to wrap it up!
🏡 Family and small town community are such a strong component of this book and what makes the whole Lovelight series feel like a warm cosy hug. I loved the development of both Charlie and Nova’s characters.
🪩💃🏼I wish the big moment had been a little more grand but I suppose this fits with Charlie and Nova’s understated relationship.
🥺Charlie is that Golden retriever guy who falls first which I really enjoyed whilst a Nova is opposite in her closed off nature.
I will miss the Lovelight universe and can definitely see myself diving back in when in need of a comfort read 🥰
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oh this was cute!
I absolutely adore the community in this series. The friendships in this series are strong and is an important theme throughout.
I loved how Charlie's insecurities were given as much notice and attnetion as Nova's. I love their relationship, I loved how they navigated from being friends with benefits to being so much more.
Absolutely adore this series.

B.K. Borison is a very famous author when it comes to small town romances, and I was fascinated to be able to read it for the first time.
It's been quite a journey to travel through this charming little town to meet Nova and Charlie, who as far as I know, meet at the beginning of a friends wedding, and turn into a one night stand to blow off some steam from the stress they're going through in their respective careers.
They have been interesting characters that show us that evolution from friends with benefits to something more, sharing confidences and concerns, dreams and goals.
With super fun scenes and shenanigans, you really enjoy reading about Nova starting her business and Charlie establishing his position in the financial industry.
What a great time I had reading this story, now I'm even more looking forward to reading the previous books.
I received this copy for an advance review, so thank you to Pan MacMillian and Netgalley Publishing for this opportunity.

I really liked being back in this small town once again! It was so lovely seeing the characters pop up from the previous books! I also really liked Charlie - I love that he was low-key obsessed with Nova (in a non-creepy way) and I also enjoyed the lack of a third act conflict! We love to see it!
However, I honestly found it a bit boring! I feel like there wasn’t a lot to the relationship to merit an entire book dedicated to them! Like I feel like there was a lot of smut to make up for a lack of development of the relationship. And my biggest ick with this book was the use of ‘Nova girl’ as a nickname. Hate hate hate, loathe entirely.
It was fun, sweet and steamy, but ultimately the first book in the series was my favourite by far.

In "Business Casual," B.K. Borison wraps up the Lovelight series with a steamy, heartwarming finale. Nova Porter, a tattoo artist, and Charlie Milford, an uptight investment banker, navigate an unexpected attraction.
Borison skillfully balances scorching sexual tension and tender emotions, making their one-night proposition unforgettable. The story thrives on witty banter and the vibrant backdrop of Inglewild, blending familiar faces with fresh dynamics.
Nova and Charlie's evolving relationship feels authentic and engrossing. This is Borison's best work yet, offering a perfect blend of angst, charm, and romance.
Fans of the series will adore this captivating conclusion.

Thank you PanMacmillan and NetGalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for an honest review.
Do you know the feeling you get when you finish a good romance book and you have the sudden urge to inhale and read it again. That's this book, like a plate of chocolate eclairs I would happily devour a second time. I love adding books to my favourite romances shelf and this is one of them.
Nova and Charlie are such an endearing couple , and the moments they shared throughout the book are so wholesome, fun at times and vulnerable at others. This is such a wonderful conclusion to the Lovelight Farms series. If you love small town romances then be sure to pick this book and entire series up. I cannot recommend it enough.

One thing about me, is that I love Lovelight Farms. I adored the first three books in the series when I first read them about two years ago. So I was so excited when the fourth book was announced, even more excited to see it was going to center Nova and Charlie. I loved when Charlie made appearances in the other books and thought him and Nova would make an excellent couple. And while their love story had cute moments, I am SO SAD to say this one is not for me. It didn't live up to my expectations (maybe that was the problem), and I had a lot of trouble actually caring for them as a couple.
My main issue is that the whole "friends with benefits" was too fast. As readers we are supposed to believe that they have been flirting and being friendly even before the events of the book, which sure, but I had trouble believing that they were actually friends and knew each other before sleeping together. After they sleep together (which I didn't like how the spice was written in this one), the rest of the story was just boring. They had issues individually that I did appreciated and enjoy watching them get through them, but other than that, the heart and magic that the other books had, was IMO nowhere to be found in this one. Yes, there are cute scenes, and cute moments between them (the tattoo being one of them), but other than that, I just couldn't feel any chemistry. There were moments that the story felt repetitive. The same issue over and over again, Charlie with the "I'm not enough" and Nova with the "I am not perfect.", both of them gave me the "I am not like the others" vibe and I just...no!
Maybe after release I will check out audiobook to see if it makes a difference but for now, this book was just not it for me and I am so so sad about it.

I absolutely adored this book and I'm finding it hard to put my feelings into words. Please bear with me if this review seems a bit all over the place. I want to start by expressing my gratitude to Pan Macmillan and B.K. Borison for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It came into my life at just the right time.
This story resonated with me on so many levels. At times, it felt like I was reading about myself, and at others, it felt like a soothing balm for my soul. The central romance between Charlie Milford, a high-stakes executive, and Nova Porter, a tattoo artist, was captivating. Their decision to have a one-night fling to explore their mutual attraction leads to an unexpected depth of connection. As Charlie temporarily stays in town to assist his sister, their paths continue to intersect in the small community of Inglewild, leading to further complications.
I particularly loved Charlie's character. His struggles with ADHD and his tendency to prioritize others' happiness over his own deeply resonated with me. While I wish the portrayal of ADHD had been explored more deeply, I always appreciate seeing characters with this condition as it helps me feel a stronger connection to them.
As the youngest of four siblings, I also related to Nova's desire to make her eldest sibling proud. Both she and I understand the weight of wanting to live up to their expectations, especially considering their role as a parental figure in our lives. Witnessing these two characters, each with their own emotional wounds, slowly find healing in each other and fall in love was truly beautiful. It serves as a reminder that it's okay to feel lonely, to be vulnerable with your partner, and to desire independence within a relationship.
I highly recommend giving this book a chance. I can assure you, it won't disappoint.
