This book was just adorable, a brilliant conclusion to the Lovelight Farms series!

I really loved getting to know Nova and Charlie better and seeing everyone else’s lives moving on since the end of their books.

Some bits were so funny I had to stop myself from laughing out loud on the train! It was like a big warm hug in a book.

The character development and world building were brilliant and it’s such a shame Inglewild isn’t a place I can visit…

Would thoroughly recommend this series to all romance readers

4.5 stars

Thank you so much to Berkley for my e-ARC xx

Why can’t Inglewild be a real place, I want to be on the phone tree!

I loved being back at Lovelight Farms, it was great to see all the characters we know and love, and to get to know Charlie and Nova more in this book. Charlie is basically just a big golden retriever, totally sweet and loveable. He made this book for me. I really enjoyed the chemistry and banter that Nova and Charlie had, there were some laugh out loud moments as well as some lovely sweet moments too.

We saw quite a lot of the Porter family, Caleb and a few appearances from Stella, Luca and Layla but I wish we could have seen a bit more of the townsfolk in this one.

I know this is the final book in the series but I do hope we get to visit Inglewild and the characters again somewhere down the line.

While I really enjoyed this one, it didn’t replace my current favourites in the series ranking so I’ve settled on a rating of a 3.75⭐️

Thank you for my eARC of this book. It was so nice to be back at lovelight farms. This series is such a comfort and I love everything about it: the setting, the characters, the plot and the romance itself. I loved Nova and Charlie’s story and love the idea of what is next for lovelight farms, even if I won’t get to read about it!

I’ve been having a hard time reading this year due to some life changes but Charlie and Nova swooped in and said, here, let us help you. I read Business Casual in a day and a half and I loved every single second of it.

This series has had a special place in my heart since I read Lovelight Farms back when it was originally released and I can confirm that every single instalment of this series is like a warm hug in a book. These characters and this fictional world Becs has given us is just magical and I love every single second I can spend in Inglewild. (Which is a lot of seconds because I’ve read the first book four times and the others all twice - but I digress.)

I always knew I was going to love Charlie and Nova but I wasn’t prepared for them to exceed every expectation I had. Charlie really is a boy obsessed and I am obsessed with that. I love this man and his obsessive, sweet, soft, broken boy nature, with my whole heart. And Nova is a badass with so many layers and the pressure of everyone’s expectations on her shoulders. It was so beautiful watching them be themselves around each other while they tried to fight the inevitable.

I’m always bit skeptical about the brothers best friend trope because I hate the over-protective, weird vibe the brother usually has but Beckett wasn’t like that at all and it just made me love him even more.

Becs absolutely nailed the last trip to Inglewild, giving us glimpses of the other couples and the wonderful town and people who live there while also making us fall in love with Charlie and Nova. I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next!!!

So long for now, Inglewild. (Not forever because I will be rereading this series forever, the ultimate comfort series!!!)

Also see some notes I made while reading just because :) (mild spoilers below so just a warning!!)

- Beckett just wholly believing in nova I’m crying 😭😭😭😭 “of course it is, you did it”
- All the lovelight couples together at the start I AM EMOTIONAL 😭😭😭😭
- Boy is obsessed and I am obsessed
- “Ready when you are nova girl” DEAD
- “You talking about spreadsheets nova girl” grinning like a FOOL
- “If you’re a good boy…” “is that what you like? Good boys?” 🫠🫠🫠
- Charlie knowing pretty woman makes me love him even more omg
- Charlie my sweet boy ily
- “I always notice you nova girl” SCREAMING
- “I’ve never been anyone’s favourite” 😭😭😭😭😭😭 screamed so loud my husband came to check on me
- Beckett not being the weirdo older brother annoyed that she’s dating his friend we LOVE HIM!!!!
- “Can I take your name? Can I be a porter?” Oh I’m SOBBING

“I’ve taught myself how to be okay with fragments of feeling, but I don't want that with you. I want more than what you’ve given me.”</b>

Visiting Inglewild one last time feels like going home as much as it feels heartbreaking. I wholeheartedly live this series and each of the previous books, and Business Casual didn’t disappoint.
The book follows the story of Charlie Milford, a lighthearted and fun man who works in finances and lives in New York (but is always in the small town his sisters and friends live in), and Nova Porter, a badass tattoo artist who is just about to start her own business. They have known each other for a long time, and are sort of good friends. Neither wants a relationship, but once they admit the attraction they feel towards each other and agree on having a one-night-stand, and the more time they start to spend together, things start to change.
I loved to get to know Charlie and Nova better. Both have way more layers than they usually let show, which added depth and ways for one to relate to their story. Charlie is the dearest and kindest person one could meet, always the life of the party who goes out of his way to make everyone happy, but he’s also someone who has endured a lifetime of mistreatment and pressure from his dad, and is a traumatized, grade-A people-pleaser. And Nova, while she was raised by a big, loving, and supportive family, grew up to be someone who thinks she always has to meet everyone else’s expectations—even when she’s the one setting them in her head, making her anxious, which she often disguises with some attitude. Nova and Charlie had their moments in the book, and I enjoyed a lot seeing them as they worked through their problems, and grew more confident together.
I also loved the progress of their relationship. Charlie and Nova’s friendship was very precious and well portrayed from the start, and the changes and 'updates' on it always felt so natural. It’s impossible not to understand how and why they fell in love, and not to love them too. They’re so lovable and make a great team. They have amazing chemistry, and their scenes (both cute and spicy ones) were always on point. They also understand and take care of each other, always filling in the gaps for one another—meaning they complete each other in every possible and necessary sense.
The book was so good and well-written. The story has a great pace, and there are no major struggles between the characters. And it’s lovely and good to revisit characters from previous books. I loved to see Luka, Stella, Beckett, Evie, Caleb, and Layla again, seeing how they’re doing and wishing for new epilogues for all of them. As I said before, saying goodbye to Lovelight and these characters I love so dearly feels bittersweet, but I know there’s a lot of good things to come from Becs, and I can (and will) always come back to re-read my family.

Thanks to NetGalley, B.K. Borison, and the publisher for sending me an ARC to this book.

I'm sad because this is the last book in the Lovelight series but at the same time, I'm happy because Nova and Charlie found their happily ever after.

Returning to Lovelight Farm is a pleasure and this book was no exception, from the first pages we see how Nova and Charlie get along, the tension, the banter, all of that we see from the beginning and that folks, I loved it, let's see we knew more or less what this book was about from all the little teasers that the author gave us but finally reading it is another story, these two were pure dynamite and I loved that the book was drama-free.

Charlie is a classy teddy bear and no one can say otherwise, he just wanted to belong to a place and Inglewild is that for him, I'm going to confess that Charlie made me cry on many occasions, my poor boy is everything that is right in this life, I didn't see anything wrong with him and he should be protected at all costs (which we see at the end and is undoubtedly the best scene in the whole book); Nova, my girl, I definitely want to be like you when I grow up, she is a strong protagonist and capable of everything, she just wants her family to be proud of her and to be able to run a successful business, but let's go even though she doesn't want to, she feels alone and that's where Charlie comes in.

The relationship was beautiful, from beginning to end and I just want a thousand stories of these two, I just want to be happy as I was reading them because yes, every scene made me smile, every scene made me giggle with happiness, the two have a beautiful chemistry and I loved that they found a home in each other.

It was more than a pleasure to read this last book, it was a very beautiful journey that came to an end and the author closed it with a golden clasp. Now if you excuse me I will go back to read this series from the beginning because I miss them a lot already.

thanks to the publisher and netgalley for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my goodness… I adored this book! Couldn’t put it down. I thought book one would always be my favourite but this beats all the books in the series in my opinion. It can be read as a stand alone if you haven’t read the series!

Set in a small town, Nova is single and is in the process of opening her own tattoo studio. Her friends brother, Charlie, is in town from NewYork for a little while and although the two have always been friends, one night at a wedding is the beginning of the sparks between them.

Oh Charlie, you beautiful sweet man, my new book boyfriend. He is such a sweetheart!!! And I loved Nova and the relationship between develops so beautifully. Spice? Oh yes, lots of lovely spice! And such likable characters.

You will also see characters from the previous books and there were some laugh out loud moments.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and to the author for this review copy I loved it!

If there was a higher rating than 5 stars I would give this book all the extra stars! I freaking loved it so so much. My favourite one out of the series.
Charlie and Novas story is sexy as hell, the chemistry they had was on point, the friendship that developed into love without them realising, them finally realising it and admitting it to one another, chefs kiss👌🏻 they are perfect together.
Charlie is perfect, I love him! He is top tier book boyfriend material.
The writing is amazing, I feel so involved in the story. I adore the autumn vibes.

I think this series is one of my FAVOURITE series of all time and I will be forever recommending it!

I’m looking for a guy in finance…and I’ve found him, Charlie Milford is a top tier book boyfriend!

I absolutely loved Business Casual, the whole Lovelight series is such a comfort series and BC kept that vibe going.

I had a feeling from the little snippets of Charlie we got in the other books that he would be my fave, and yep he definitely is and Nova girl, I loved her, she’s got this hard shell of an exterior but is just desperate not to disappoint those she loves.

I felt like Charlie and Nova fought hard (against their own insecurities) to get their HEA but it was so worth it, I just wanted to squeeze them both!

I didn’t want to see this series end, but this was the perfect finish for it and all the little moments we got from the previous couples was perfection 💖

Thank you NetGalley and BK Borison for the ARC

Oh my. This has been, in a word, exquisite.

To use a few more words : soft, cosy, tender, vulnerable, funny, witty.

I knew it would likely be my favourite in the Lovelight series from the very beginning, and I was right.

I was just in awe, over absolutely everything. The sounds, smells and visuals of Lovelight Farms and Inglewild, the characters, the romance.

This book made me squeel, and giggle, and gasp, and grin, and made me so grateful that I am a reader, and I get to experience this absolute DELIGHT.

In a way, I am a little sad that this series is over, but I could not imagine a more perfect conclusion, than Nova and Charlie's story. Two incredible characters, with such a beautiful love for each another, and so hot. The spice here was perfect too.

Overall, definitely exquisite.

“Forget-me-nots were always my favorite, and you’re kind of my favorite too.
I’ve never been anyone’s favorite.
Well, you’re mine.”

Devastating to know that this is the last book in the Lovelight Farms series but it could not have had a better ending. My heart has grown three sizes while reading this and I don’t know if I will ever recover (or if I even want to). The story is HOT, heartwarming, cosy, everything you could possibly want in a small town romance 💓

BK Borison really knows how to write complex characters that you cannot help falling in love with and in ‘Business casual’ it’s no different. Nova was not only an independent and badass FMC but she took charge in the bedroom and I LOVED IT. The things I would give to get a tattoo by Nova! It’s also not often you see the vulnerability and insecurities displayed by Charlie in an MMC but it was so well done. They both burrowed their way into my heart and I don’t think they are ever leaving 💓

The chemistry between Nova and Charlie was sizzling and I loved that the progression of their relationship felt so natural. Nova girl and Charlie boy might be my new favourite nicknames. I could read about the small town of Inglewild, the members of Lovelight Farms and the phone tree, FOREVER. And you best believe I will be back for a re-read!

BK Borison really outdid herself with this one. Having four amazing books in one series can be difficult but believe me BK Borison knocked it out of the park! Her books have only gotten better since Lovelight Farms (and SPICIER 🌶️👀) and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!

Thank you Netgalley and Panmacmillan for the advanced copy of Business casual! (My very first ARC and one I’ll remember forever🥹)

Lovelight Farms is one of my favourite series so I was highly anticipating the fourth and final book in it, and it did not disappoint! I think this may be my favourite of the four. I absolutely adored Charlie and Nova, both separately and together, and their actions and struggles were just so real to me.

I loved getting to revisit the characters of Lovelight, and seeing where they were in their lives as the series came to a close. Such a perfect way to end an already perfect series - I can't wait to re-read them all!

oh gosh, the ending of this book made me so damn emotional, lovelight farms became such a comfort read for me and this last chapter was the perfect wrap-up

as to our main characters - Nova and Charlie were so fun to read, their banter was like nothing from this series so far and I just had the best time with them, Charlie was a character I could relate to so so much and he has such a special place in my heart now, and Nova was just such a little badass, I absolutely fell in love with her (Charlie I get you bestie)

their story while fun was also such a quiet love that built so naturally between them, I absolutely adored seeing them develop and he honest with one another and I absolutely loved the third act of this book

thank you so much to Netgalley, Pan Macmillan and B.K. Borison for sending me this arc in exchange for my honest review

Thank you to Netgalley and Pan Macmillan for this advanced copy of Business Casual.

Business Casual not only gave me allllll the ooey-gooey feelings, but made me desperate to visit Inglewild and be tattooed by Nova Porter.

Charlie and Nova are complete opposites: he’s a corporate-suit-and-tie kinda man, and Nova is a free spirited (and feisty) tattoo artist. They’re just friends - until Nova proposes one night together, no strings, then back to friendship. But it just doesn’t work like that in Inglewild; add in a meddling small town, some close quarters and a mischievous duckling and all bets are off.

The entirety of the Lovelight Farms series is TOO cute. Sickeningly adorable, and I’ve loved it. Business Casual is a close second fav in the series (Mixed Signals being my #1), and was such a wonderful way to wrap up everyone’s stories. I adore a sort of anthology romance where each book features characters from the author’s previous work, and Borison truly delivers on this. Can’t wait to read what she writes next!

I loved the previous books in the Lovelight Farm series and this did not disappoint! Charlie and Nova are complete opposites and have SO much chemistry. This was a really fun and romantic read - sad this series is over, B.K Borison is without a doubt an auto-buy author for me, can’t wait to read whatever she publishes next!

What a great series and a lovely ending. I loved the community of Inglewild and I do hope we get glimpses back in future books.
Charlie and Nova become more than friends but decide to hide the relationship, but how good a job are they doing?
I really enjoyed seeing how both of these characters gained in confidence throughout the book and how their relationship blossomed.
I just want to live in Inglewild and loved the supporting cast and getting to see how the other couples were getting along.
Could the book have been shorter? Yes, but it just meant I got to spend more time with the great characters.

This was my first Lovelighth farms read and I adored it. Perfect cozy, heartwarming romance to curl up with.

The story follows Nova, a tattoo artist who is trying to open up her own tattoo place in her hometown and Charlie, an investment banker, who is a friend/family and struggling to find his own happiness among these group of people. I really liked the way the individual struggles of both Nova and Charlie were portrayed. Each have their own struggles in personal and work life, but the way each support the other is so beautiful and their chemistry was undeniable from the get go. I could identify with both the characters, how Nova struggles to do everything on her own and not be a burden on others, and how Charlie is just looking for a place to truly belong, among people who want him to belong.

I'm really glad I was able to read this and now keen to read the first 3 books in the series to discover how the other couples (who also weave in and out throughout this story) came together.

Special thanks to Pan Macmillan and Netgalley for providing me an advance copy of the ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Nora and Charlie were adorable but also had all the sexy tension too!

Loved the friends with benefits to lovers trope! Charlie falls first and I loved the care taking moments too. He was a fabulous book boyfriend

As someone who suffers with imposter syndrome I could really relate to moments in this book.

Although this is book 4 of a series it absolutely can be read as a standalone.

REVIEW
cw: mentions of cheating and parental abandonment, ADHD, acute migraines, anxiety, imposter syndrome
When tattoo artist Nova Porter (Beckett's youngest sister) and Charlie Milford ( Stella's half-brother) allow the simmering chemistry between them to boil over, they agree it's for one night only. Their chemistry is amazing, but they vow not to let it affect their friendship. When both realise they want more nights together, but neither have time for an actual relationship, they come up with a plan. Keep it 'Business Casual' just for the month that Charlie is in Inglewild.

This book.

Oh. My. God! The chemistry.

THE.

CHEMISTRY!

How does each book in this GORGEOUS series just get better? I adored Charlie and Nova from the first page. Charlie has always been seen as the good-time guy. A people pleaser who's never serious about anything. Fun, loud. and gregarious. But we finally get to see just how incredibly thoughtful, sweet, and self-deprecating he is, and it was so beautifully told. He really was such a sweetheart, and I loved his POV at the wedding, especially when he spoke of his new family. I also loved his friendships with Caleb and Alex (Alvarez). I adore an MMC who is absolutely gone for the FMC, and Charlie was SO gone. But his feelings of inadequacy broke my heart, especially as a lot of it was tied to his father and his ADHD.
I completely empathised with Nova's imposter syndrome, and, while I appreciated her need to perfect her studio before letting her brother view it, seeing Beckett so hurt broke my heart. Nova's banter with Charlie was perfect. I loved how much she could tease him (in the best possible way), and they definitely shared a lot of similarities, particularly surrounding the themes of self-doubt and the fear of disappointing others.
As I've mentioned, Charlie and Nova's banter and chemistry were sublime from the start. But chapter seventeen. Oh. My! *fans self* As for the soft opening of Nova's studio? They were incendiary together. But it was during their quieter moments that I adored them the most. I particularly loved how supportive Charlie was of Nova, especially when she was sick, and how she slowly let him in. My heart absolutely burst at the cut fruit (trust me, you'll understand when you read it). And, as a fellow sufferer of acute migraines (usually ocular), I found the parts about Nova's pain particularly well-written. Meanwhile, Charlie's candour in chapter twenty-three was SO profoundly beautiful and left me sobbing. I also loved their text thread after Charlie returned to NYC.
I adored catching up with all of the other Lovelight Farm couples, as well as the rest of Inglewild's residents. One of my favourite scenes was when Layla confronted Charlie, under the guise of asking for his help. Charlie's reaction was priceless. I adored chapter nineteen, firstly because Charlie showed more of his vulnerable side to Nova, but mainly because the ending left me crying laughing. As for the following chapter? Well, that just made me adore Beckett even more. I also loved Charlie mediating between Beckett and Layla. Beckett was as Beckett as he always is (and I say that as THE highest compliment). I loved Lucy (Beckett and Nova's mum). She was so caring, and I particularly appreciated how much she looked out for Charlie. As for Nova's family's reaction when Charlie and Nova's relationship is eventually revealed (particularly Beckett's)? Chefs kiss.
How does each story in this GORGEOUS series just get better?! I've tried to do it justice in my review, but when I tell you I CHEERED and SWOONED so many times, especially reading chapters twenty-eight and twenty-nine. I'm STILL not over Charlie and Nova. Meanwhile, that epilogue? Seriously swoon-worthy. Nova and Charlie were SO STINKING CUTE TOGETHER (unapologetically not sorry for all of the caps in this review), but I'm not ready for this series to be over! Luka, Beckett, Caleb, and now Charlie are THE ultimate book boyfriends as far as I'm concerned.
Utter perfection.

Favourite Quotes:

“Alright, Nova girl. How do you want me?”
I arch an eyebrow. “Do you need instruction?”
He shrugs and starts undoing the buttons of his shirt, fingers working nimbly against the light blue material. “I don’t need it, but I like it. I’d like to hear you tell me what you want.”

“I’m going to take up most of the couch,” I warn.
I take up too much space, I want to tell her. I’m loud and sometimes I don’t know how to stop talking. I’m a lot and I know that. I can’t figure out how to make myself fit, but I’m trying. I promise I’m trying.
She shrugs. “I don’t need much room to be comfortable.”

“I like you, Nova, but I’ve got no f**king clue what normal looks like for us. I’m not being different on purpose. I’m just . . . I’m trying to hold myself together around you.”

If Caleb thinks I’m getting hard over Layla’s croissants, he might dropkick me in the nuts.

I’m starting to think the jokes and the comments and the ridiculousness he wraps himself in is compensation for something else. A way to hide.

“You can’t climb out the window,” I whisper, sounding hysterical.
“I can absolutely climb out this window,” he whisper-yells back. “I don’t want to die tonight.”
“You said you’re a grown-a$$ man.”
“A grown-a$$ man who is terrified of your brother, yes.”

For the first time in a long time, it feels like maybe it’s okay that I’m a work in progress. Just like my studio. Just like the little plants breaking through the soil and reaching for the sunlight. I’m trying, and maybe trying is enough.

I’ve never had someone to take care of before. I’m not sure I’ll be any good at it, but I’m going to do my best. For Nova.

Despite the ease with which he supports others, I don’t think Charlie has ever had someone do the same for him.

“I’ve never been anyone’s favorite,” he whispers.
“Well,” I say, feeling defensive. “You’re mine.”

“...He’s funny and he’s kind, and he’s ridiculous most of the time, but he only does it so he can see other people laugh. And he pushes himself to the edges and shrinks himself down to make himself seem more tolerable. But he doesn’t need to do that. He doesn’t need to break himself down into pieces. But I think—I think I made him do that too. I’m just as bad as everyone else because I took from him. Didn’t I? I asked for everything and what did I give him back? Not much. Not nearly enough.”

I absolutely loved this book. I have been in a book slump for about a month now and this is the book that has managed to get me out of it. The main characters in this book were amazing and they really made me love this series even more than I already did before. I cannot wait for more books by this author as I simply love the way that they write
