Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Florence has had many changes in her life. Her most recent decision to move was her best one yet. She loves the town and is making sone friends. I liked getting to know the different characters in this book.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end.
Flossie, to get better both physically and mentally from having cancer and also the breakup of her relationship moves to Cornwall from London.
She makes her home in a little beach hut, which she decides to open as a cafe for the local community as well as her friends.
Throughout the story we read about how it’s never too late to start again and how friendships help at your time of need.
The characters were likeable and the setting was beautiful, making you wish you was there tasting the delicious food.
I highly recommend this book.

I was genuinely gutted when this book ended, I simply loved every page. In this book we follow Floss who has recently moved back to St Aidan and honestly the sweets/puddings/desserts she makes sound delicious and even though some parts of this book was a little unrealistic it was such a fab read and I loved it!
I honestly want another book to be released which follows the same people and same location maybe just another one of the Mermaids?
Overall, fab fab fab! Loved it

Such a sweet and wonderful story. It was a quick read but so enjoyable. It helps you to remember that what life throws at you one can win at the end. What a great weekend or beach read.

I really enjoyed this book from the cover to the contents. It is the first book I have ready by Jane Linfoot but it definitely won't be the last.
This is a lovely summer read. Flossie moves back home to Cornwall from London, to recover her body and mind after a cancer battle and then subsequent break up. Setting up camp in a little beach hut she opens up a little cafe for friends and locals. This is a story about second changes and friendship. It is filled with lovely characters and makes me want to visit the little beach hut for a slice of something scrumptious.
A delightful read :)
Thank you to NetGalley and One More Chapter for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review,

I wanted to love this book. It is a slow read. I struggled to get into it. I found myself skimming frequently. Thank you for the opportunity to read for an honest review.

I love a story when all the characters are my ‘cup of tea’. So enjoyable and wonderful descriptions of Flossie’s Cornish home that I want to move there. Whatever life throws at you these friends have your back always. Go ahead and grab yourself a cosy book of friendship and love.

I found this hard to read. I did not like the chapter headings . It was a lovely story. Covered a difficult subject to read at times. I loved the baking element and Flossie’s mum ‘s story was good too. It was a slow read for me. A good ending. The beach hut sounded amazing and the ring idea and all the brownie stacks . It was just not a grab you book.

A great holiday read set in a great holiday destination of Cornwall. Florence is leaving London to set up in St Aidans but with lots of twists and turns along the way make it a great read. Thanks to Jane and her publisher. Thanks also to NetGalley

A joyful summery read by one of my favourite authors. Lovely to catch up with the gang and the lovely beaches and community.
Flossie was adorable and quirky and strong and Kit sounded as delicious as the bakes Floss makes. Love a book either cake, beaches, star gazing and lots of cherub cheeked babies.
Thank you NetGalley for this arc in exchange for and honest review.

A lovely, easy read. I enjoyed the Cornish setting and the characters.
Thank you NetGalley & HarperCollins UK for sending this book for review consideration.

A fun sweet read! Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, OMC for this ARC.
Florence, also called Flossie, left the fictional Cornish village of St Aidan, where everyone knows everything about everyone, at 18. Now, after cancer treatment and a break-up she is back in the fold of a ready-made community, many of whom we know from previous St Aidan books (Clemmie, Sophie, Plum, Nell plus kids). She buys a beach hut in which she plans to live, and she falls in love with Kit from the beach hut next door. Soon she has accidentally opened a café and (literally) has her fingers in many pies.
There isn't much plot to speak of, and what there is burbles along without too much drama. Babies are born, misunderstandings are had, secrets are told, matches are made and desserts are eaten.
To my understanding, beach huts are postage stamp sized and you can't sleep in them at night. I didn't quite get them all being mini businesses but let's just go with the flow. I'm actually surprised that the book title isn't The Little Cornish Beach Hut Cafe!
Jane Linfoot is a very popular author who writes a lot of identikit Cornish romances - if you've read one, you've read them all. That isn't necessarily bad as you know exactly what you're getting: a well-written sweet romance in seaside surroundings with a lot of puddings and a happy ending. Plus, they can all be read as standalones. The recipes at the end are a nice touch.

A sweet romance about a woman who is moving home after recovering from cancer and a subsequent break up. The characters are great and watching Floss move forward as she settles into her new life was moving and relatable. A lovely read.

I was so excited to read this as I love this author and my goodness it was so perfect. This book was like heaven, such a joy to read. The story itself I loved. The characters are so lovely and they are so easy to get to know and love. I really hope there will be more from this as I’d love a follow up to find out what the characters are up to now.
