I was so excited to jump into this book after I was blown away by Cassie’s debut novel. This one was good, but I kept getting stuck on some of the unrealistic parts. They were on a reality show but barely ever filmed anything… and Lydia’s full name?? Just, why? Also Lydia had a condom in her backpack when she thought she was competing with a woman? Overall it was a good story but was left a little underwhelmed.

I really enjoyed the writing of this book - Lydia and Tom felt well rounded, and Tom's parents felt very realistic too. I'm excited to read more by this author, there was a good level of suspense, even knowing that everything would definitely turn out okay.

Really cute and hot romance. I love that it has all the feels: suspense, romance, conflict, this book has it all. Its a one night stand to pretending they dont know each other to dislike to lovers? I suppose? Thats not really a trope is it. Its really good though, and the characters are awesome. I love that both have good character development as well! Also unique concept so im a fan.

I didn't love the beginning but I slowly fell in love with these characters. They both have such different backgrounds but they come together so well. The competition aspect of the book was done well and I enjoyed it. I would have liked to see a longer epilogue.

As with Cassie Connor’s last book this was a lot of fun. If you like your romances spicy and like shows like Hunted, then I’d say this is an absolute no-brainer of a buy, as it covers it all. Haters to lovers, Second chance, one bed; it has all the tropes I loved and so I was completely here for it.

Fun read, the story of Lydia and Tom. After a short fling they are now back together on a TV show where they have to out run the other teams and the chasers back to London. Will they make it and will they actually get to know each other along the way. A fast paced read. I liked how it was told from both points of view.

I really enjoyed Tom and Lydia's journey. They go from two broken people to safe and secure in their love for each other. Each one has what the other needs to make them value who they are.

I really enjoyed this book! This was my first Cassie Connor read, and it was the perfect romcom to read and relax. I’ll definitely be finding and reading Cassie’s Love Under Contract when I can.
Tom and Lydia were both chasing their dreams, and, as a result, got paired up on a gameshow after spending a weekend together a year before. I don’t think I’ve read a game show-based romance before, but I feel like this one was well done, and I’d definitely read more in this style. The competition elements were written well, but I didn’t feel overwhelmed by the inclusion of them.
There was lots of banter and chemistry between the two characters, and I loved watching them grow in themselves and together. There were so many funny and cute moments that I really enjoyed reading. Still, there was such a good emotional element, and Tom and Lydia both had such lovely growth through the story.
Tom and Lydia came from such different backgrounds but they still both struggled through their circumstances and came out better on the other side. I like Cassie’s take on people from different backgrounds facing struggles; that while Tom and Lydia’s childhoods were so different they both had hard lives, and neither was harder or better than the other.

Hot Pursuit was a great read, and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a cute and fun read with enemies-to-lovers elements in it.

This story starts with our two main characters meeting at a job site where they recognize each other from a past weekend they had together where the sparks were definitely flying. There is some tension between them from the get-go as they haven't been in contact since their chance meeting and weekend fling, and they seem to be butting heads at every chance they get. Soon after this, they realize they're unexpectedly both two contestants on a new reality show where teams of two have to work together to survive in the wilderness and make their way to a rendezvous spot in London without being caught. This novel is filled with tension, action, and some really great character development.

I was really happy reading the two different POVs of our MCs throughout this book, and I loved that it was very obvious when the POV switched between the characters. Sometimes I find in books like this that I have to go back and re-read pages because I got the characters mixed up, but I didn't have any trouble with that here. Both characters had unique backgrounds that you can see how they were shaped by their pasts, and it was really nice getting to see them open up to each other slowly throughout their journey. As a reality TV lover, I did find myself having a hard time really throwing myself into the plot as it seemed a little disjointed that there were not actual cameras following them around, but I think it made for some good drama and unique instances where the couple was forced to be closer together, which is a trope I can always get behind!

This book was so much fun oh my goodness. I love shows like hunted and romance books are my favourite genre so this was a lovely mix of both of them. Sometimes the romance genre gets samey so it was great to have another plot point to focus on as well which made it even more enjoyable. It was really well executed.

This book was not for me. I liked the premise, but I just could not stay engaged in the storyline. The main character was just too quirky for me to root for. I do think others would like this story, however.

I liked the reality star aspect but the MMC wasn’t my favorite and I didn’t really ever see the chemistry between the two mains. Cute but not my favorite.

I have become a diehard Survivor fan this past year, so this book was absolutely my cup of tea! the premise was pristine, and the characters were interesting and loveable. I loved their history and the way they had to deal with a huge amount of sexual tension while tryna just get through a huge competition. overall, love!

A game show romance? Yes please! This book was so much fun with a great premise, fun romance and fantastic characters. I adored it!

I love a reality show, including Survivor. This book is basically Survivor. The main characters had a passionate one night stand a year ago, and end up on the same game show/island. I am a very competitive person, and I really enjoyed the competition portion of the book! I was extremely invested!

The romance is so good! You know what is going to happen, but the tension is so wonderful and delicious! I enjoyed every second of it!

Hot Pursuit is a dual-point-of-view, enemies-to-lovers, spicy romance. At times it was hard to connect with the characters, which pulled me out of the story. However, the unique plot of being hunted for a gameshow was intriguing to follow.

I really loved Love Under Contract by Cassie Connor so I was very excited to read Hot Pursuit. Connor writes an enthralling story, filled with emotion and just the right amount of spice.

Lydia works in insurance and whilst on an assessment trip abroad she is joined by a new colleague, Tom. The two of them act like they don't know each other but really they spent the best weekend together almost a year ago.

When they arrive back home, they realise that they have both applied for a reality TV show (think Channel 4's Hunted) and of course the two of them end up being accidentally paired together.

I absolutely devoured this book and really enjoyed the characters. Their childhood and family background are both so different but still complex in their own ways. There were some really funny scenes too and I loved their banter.

I really liked the setting for this book and it all pieces together nicely. Definitely one for romance lovers.
