One Bed by Joss Wood. A new to me author that I decided the storyline sounded interesting and the setting. It was spicy but it just didn't grab me. For me it was just a okay book.

Overall, it was a good story. I liked the concept, and the main character Bea. She definitely had her issues and insecurities, but I was still rooting for her, and was happy reading her growth throughout.

For me, I felt like Gib fell short with his personality and growth. I never felt like he really liked Bea as much as she liked him, and that vibe is not what I like in a book

It was a super cute storyline and I enjoyed it, but I would’ve loved this book a lot more if Gib had more to him and better feelings for Bea. I didn’t think the way he talked to her was redeemable in my opinion.

Unfortunately I had to DNF, the writing and plot was just not there unfortunately. I wanted to love this but struggling to keep in engaged and interested in the story line. I hope other readers enjoy it though.

GAH! Golly was just the best side character. Such a fun aunt. I was really so invested in her wild ways. .
On the other hand, Bea was okay and I enjoyed her slight growth. Gib on the other hand was not a likeable MMC for me. There was not much to depth to his character and he was honestly just mean, without any groveling.

If you enjoy one bed, forced proximity and a quick read, this is for you.

This was a super cute story! I really enjoyed this book especially toward the end when it seemed to get deeper and more emotional. This book was not very spicy in my opinion, I mean there is some spice but it's very mild and not very detailed. I really enjoyed Golly and Reena as characters as well.
There were a lot of times at that end that I could really relate to Bea and her feelings. I think the author did a great job of sucking me in during the third act breakup.
I definitely recommend this book!

A fun enough forced proximity destination read, but the chemistry lacked for me. The main characters lacked the tension and build up I hoped for. Also the inner monologues got to be a bit much for me. I wished we got to know about their pasts in a way that flowed more and wasn’t just inner bitching about their pasts. Overall it was just kinda blah. The godmother saved this book for me, and she was a side note.

A cute romance read.

Golly was definitely my favorite character. She was eccentric and hilarious and honestly carried the story for me and was more what kept me reading than the main characters. The story was cute, but I struggled to connect to the characters and didn't entirely buy their relationship beyond the physical attraction. The FMC grew on me throughout, but I didn't find the MMC entirely likable.

A good read for someone who enjoys the "one bed" and forced proximity troupes.

Overall I enjoyed this book! The setting, Bea’s internal dialogue and the spice were all main highlights for me, but I struggled with the romance a little bit. I felt that Gib didn’t grovel enough and while we did get some explanation of his past, I felt like there could’ve been a lot more in depth analysis about it before Bea just accepted his response and moved on. I would recommend this book to others but it just didn’t hit on all points for me unfortunately!

Light-hearted, cute romance. Golly, the aunt was my favorite character. She was so funny and excentric. I want to read a book about her life! While I enjoyed this book, I was more invested in Golly than the main characters Bea and Gib.

This was such a cute an fun read! Great setting with great characters and a cozy storyline. Perfect beach book or something you'd take to a vacation.

While organising her flamboyant godmother’s 70th birthday on beautiful Santorini she has to share a cottage - and a bed! - with Gib who sets the ‘meerkats’ of her sexual desire all aflutter. This is a warmhearted and entertaining book. Joss Wood’s writing is funny and full of life. It would be a wonderful movie or TV series. Thanks so much Netgalley for the advance copy.

This book was not my favorite. I had a very hard time with the male character. I found him rude and kind of obnoxious.
I loved Bea’s growth though, and honestly if you cut the romance I think this would have been a much better book.
All the side characters were great, just not a fan of the male lead.

Bea is an author of a sort of Percy Jackson like book who uses a pseudonym to keep her identity hidden. Gib is the CEO of a company that represents authors among other businessy things that they do. They are opposites, Bea is shy and Gib is outgoing. Bea has indoor cat energy while Gib is an outdoor Golden Retriever. When Bea is planning her godmother's retirement party in Greece and Gib is staying at the same cottage that she is supposed to be staying at they have to share one bed.

This book is incredibly entertaining. While it is not literature by any means, it kept me fully engaged until I finished the whole thing in one sitting. My favorite part was the godmother, she was absolutely bananas, I loved her. I deducted a star and a quarter because the conflict was absolutely minimal and it didn't feel like there were any stakes at any point. He also kept negging her in his head which I didn't like and I will never give a "she falls first" book five stars. Overall though I thought it was a fun quick read that I would definitely recommend.

This is definitely a what you see is what you get type book. It was enjoyable, I loved the banter and the little haters to lovers thing, without having too much drama.

Unbelievable but a good yarn. I did like the characters and it was a silly nonsensical read. Golly reminded me of a badly dressed embarrassment of a banana. Bea was flighty and needed a bit of a shake. Gin reminded me of a heroic sweeping Greg Davies character which I liked a lot.
Good fun read which I did in a morning with a cuppa and a blanket on my feet. It transported me to sunnier times.

While this book was sort of predictable, it was also a fun and lighthearted romance perfect for anyone who loves the one bed trope.

Bea’s snark and Gibson’s charm made for some delicious banter, and the chemistry between them crackles like the Santorini sunsets. You can feel the heat in every glance and every argument. If you’re into sun-soaked romance with plenty of tension and heart, this one is an absolute treat!
