The police is called in because of the poisoned pen letters people on the close are receiving. It seems all the neighbours have secrets and someone knows about them.
Every finger points in Lena's direction, but is she the one to blame? And whilst the police investigates, there is something far worse happening and once again Lena seems to be the one in the middle...
I cannot decide whether I liked or disliked Lena. On the one hand she is kind and helpful, but on the other hand she can be very spiteful and a bit aggressive too.
I loved the skeleton of the book. Chapters told by different characters with their perspectives giving us the opportunity to see inside the heads of those people. This, combined with a good number of twists and turns makes this story an enjoyable one.
Did I expect this person to be the baddie? No, not at all. I had put my money on someone else. :) Kudos to the author for fooling me. ;) 4 stars
Thank you
This is the first book I've read by Joanne Ryan and it was great!
Very gripping throughout with a few fantastic twists
Slow-starter but then the pace picks up and the story becomes a page-turner. Loved it in the end but wish it had picked up earlier in the novel as I almost didn't stick with it.
Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The numerous five-star reviews had me skeptical, prompting me to request the book. I expected a haunting tale, full of unexpected twists and turns, but was disappointed to find that it lacked the intended eeriness. Instead, it was a gloomy portrayal of dysfunctional individuals making poor choices and facing the consequences. Despite the majority's positive reception, I found myself at odds with my own opinion - I could not connect with any of the characters and ultimately did not enjoy the book. Nevertheless, I am grateful to #BoldwoodBooks and #Netgalley for granting me the opportunity to read it. While others may view it as a thrilling read, I saw it as a depiction of individuals in need of maturity and direction, rather than constantly complaining about their self-destructive tendencies.

Im one of those readers that love fast paced right from the beginning thrillers. This story sadly had a slow beginning but it did pick up and the twist and turns began. Besides for the slow beginning it is a recommend.
Thank you netgalley and publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own and isn't influence by anyone else
I feel like this is a me problem, but not a book problem based on other reviews. I didn’t really care for this one until around 80%. It was a lot of stuff happening that never seemed to connect. I think you should read it because my opinion is just that and others have loved it.
this story is so addictive read in a day. Lena has got to start all over her boyfriend Gareth. Has got a younger woman and he wants her out even though she has made there house a dream home.so she finds a nice little place to rent. And things start to go very wrong. Someone is sending. The residents poison pen letters they know all their secrets. it's such a twisty and an addictive read.
After a slow start, the story picked up and it has its twists bringing the reader into several directions before a surprisingly satisfactory ending. There were parts of the main characters that weren’t particularly likeable and they all were keeping secrets from those around them. It was my first time reading anything by this author and I wouldn’t hesitate to read more of her books. I want to thank the publisher and Netgalley for the advance copy and the opinions expressed are entirely my own views and are completely unbiased. 4.5 stars rounded
Unfortunately I found this a bit slow to get into and nearly gave up. But all of a sudden it was fast paced and full of twists and turns! Really really enjoyed it and so glad I stuck with it!
This started out pretty slow for me but a series of addressed envelopes get delivered through many different mailboxes and then things start to happen. It was just ok to me. I was having a hard time keeping all the characters straight so maybe this book wasn't for me. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review.
A fantastically pacey neighbourhood mystery that very well written and highly engaging. The characters are beautifully written and the plot is well-draw and fast moving. A really fantastic read with realistic twists. The multiple points of view give great context and build a great story. A mystery not to miss!
Don’t Let Her In is a fast paced thriller read full of tons of neighborhood drama. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting. I grew attached to the main character Lena. The twists and ending were very satisfying. This is a thriller not to miss!
Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Joanne's previous book, Keep Your Friends Close, was a great thriller and I was keen to review another book by Joanne. When Don't Let Her In was announced as a blog tour, I really hoped I'd get a spot, and I did!
Lena moves to Mandalay Close hoping to start again. Letters through other people's letterboxes. What's going on?
I love the "moving somwhere new and hoping for a fresh start" trope that's now present in thrillers. They always raise the question "How well do we know our neighbours?". They always make me feel uneasy yet compelled to continue the story and very curious.
Will Lena be safe where she is, or was moving a mistake?
Thanks to Joanne Ryan, Boldwood Books and Rachel's Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

This story felt slow, and uneventful for a thriller. It felt more like literary fiction with a side of suspense thrown in. The story itself was enjoyable but, I didn’t find myself at the edge of my seat or anything. I did like Lena as a character but wish there was more.
When Lena moves into her new home on idyllic Mandalay Close, she’s seeking a fresh start after heartbreak. But her hope for a peaceful new life is quickly shattered when mysterious letters appear on her neighbors’ doorsteps, threatening to expose their most private secrets.
As tensions mount in the once-quiet cul-de-sac, Lena watches in dismay as the community descends into chaos. Yet amidst the confusion, her house remains curiously untouched.
I was captivated from the very beginning. It was fast-paced, and the twists were fantastic throughout. The end left me flabbergasted. I enjoyed this very much and highly recommend it to all psychological thriller lovers!
Thank you to Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this book.
A quick and easy read but one thats very written and executed. I love domestic thrillers but this one didn't feel as if I'd read a version if it a million times before. The plot set itsself apart from the more comment plot lines. The characters were well written and the side characters added a lot on interesting aspects. It's multiple pov whoch also helps keep the pace. Secrets, lies, jealousy and deceit, what more could you ask for?!
This book was better than expected and I’m glad I decided to read it. Lena’s just left her partner of over a decade because he cheated on her and even though she mostly paid for their house and expenses, he threatened to move his girlfriend in if Lena didn’t leave. So that tells you about her overly nice personality. Her new home is a coach house above three garages that is more like an apartment but up some stairs, and I had some trouble envisioning this layout. But because of the closeness of neighbors and some plot lines with the garages, I feel it would have been less confusing if it was laid out differently.
But anyway, she moves in at the same time that random letters are sent to neighbors, and it gets worse, with acts being blamed on her, etc. But the weird thing about the structure of the story is that the reader finds out early on who is responsible for those, and they don’t really factor in too much. Maybe the blurb doesn’t want to give away more, so I don’t want to do that, but other occurrences become central to the story. And the police oddly believe the neighbors instead of her based on exactly nothing. That’s basically the story – someone is framing her but why? And how far will they go to ruin her?
There are some interesting side characters, but you can tell what they’re up to almost straight off, even Prue. If you didn’t see that right away, it will make a good twist. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself racing through the story even when I could tell where it was going. The author’s voice is quite appealing and moves the story along effortlessly. It’s a fun breezy read that most readers should enjoy.
From the beginning I was captivated by the characters! Fast paced and suspenseful till the very end! Definitely kept me on my toes
A very quick and easy read, ideal for holidays . Good story, Dragged a little in places . My first book by this author. Really liked Lena as a character which I think helped me gel with the book. Loved the ending
A good solid 3.5 stars from me
Loved this one about Mandalay Close, a supposedly-tight-knit community of like-minded residents...until they begin receiving threatening unsigned letters. Lena has just moved in after leaving Gareth when he moved his new girlfriend in the house she paid for; and of course she's fuming over the humiliation and hopes to find some good friends in this neighborhood. But soon it's clear that it's not as easy as it may appear as the police show up, neighbors are accused of things they may or may not have done, and soon a dead body is discovered! Told in alternating chapters from each characters point of view, the novel reveals how jealousies, lies, secrets, and betrayals all are at the heart of this seemingly-sweet little community. Fascinating and fun!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!
