Gabriel, the space-fixated kid, has had a tooth come out, and is ready to put it under the pillow to exchange for a few coins overnight. What he cannot possibly expect is for the jetpack belonging to the tooth fairy that comes to do the trade with him to break down, for him to fix it, and for the fairy to gratefully let him visit her home. This is fine – this is practically four star fine – but it still felt that another layer could have been introduced. It felt like it needed more logic from the questioning, scientific mind of the boy, more wonder and magic in response, and perhaps a bit more narrative. I like the way the piece ignores the old "was it real, or was it all a dream?" trope, but as it is it felt like it could pass me by too easily. Is it to be read by STEM lovers, fantasy seekers, kids with their tooth come out? All those, but it didn't feel like it could stand out for any audience. I'm probably nitpicking a lot more than it deserves, and I wish it well, but something left me less positive than I believe I should be. Three and three quarter stars, then – were I to do such petty point divisions.

NetGalley review

The niece and nephews gave this a 5 star for story and art work…
This story created more imagination within the pages than most books we have read recently.
Highly recommend this to everyone!
We look forward to seeing the fixed final physical addition of the book.

Love the different use of text (colour, curvy) as it grabs your attention. Such a great book for when your child loses a tooth if wanting the magic of the tooth fairy.

A cute little story with lovely illustrations. Encourages kids to chase their dreams. Would have liked to get a little more story on tooth fairies.

Thank you so much to Booksgosocial/ Orange Puffin Playgrounds and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

Gabriel a little boy who loves space, stars and tinkering with his makespace, loses his first tooth leaving him with questions of what happens to his tooth and why do the fairies take them.

I loved how imaginative this was, from start to finish full of creativity and imagination. Gabriel had such a curious mind, so full of wonder, dreams and questions and as he dreams about what is happening to his tooth he gets a trip to fairyland to find his answers.

This is a wonderful story sharing about the stars, about space, about tooth Fairies and teeth. The Illustrations were amazing to look at, so beautifully done and the story was wonderful, your imagination flies with Gabriel as he gets to explore something you can only do in your dreams.

A wonderful read for those with imaginative minds, for space loving children and those curious about how and why things happen. So much wonder is within this book, with beautiful illustrations and a lovely imaginative story.

Title: Gabriel's Tooth Fairy Tale
Author: Sharon Leya & Jennifer Saylor
Genre: Children's Non- Fiction

The tale of Gabriel on his exciting journey of losing his first tooth. I enjoyed how the authors did such a great job at allowing Gabriels personality to shine through. I loved the plot of Gabriel helping the tooth fairy with his maker space. The graphics in the book were detailed and fun. I enjoyed the addition of the tooth fairy letter at the end of the book.

This is such a cozy tooth fairy adventure! This would be perfect to read to your child, if they are about to lose a tooth or have lost a tooth. I thoroughly enjoyed this even as an adult. The illustrations truly brought me on the adventure with them.

I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book exudes charm, and I'm confident it probably would have been a beloved favourite of mine growing up.
Cute cover.

The story captured my heart, and the illustrations added to its allure. I envision this book becoming a staple during story time at libraries nationwide.

Captivating. The story of a boy loving all things space was a magical twist on a Tooth Fairy story. The charming illustrations will capture the children's imagination.

Thank you NetGalley for a review copy.

The illustrations in this book are gorgeous and magical! My kindergarten student did not connect with the text and was not invested in the story.

This is a beautifully illustrated, enchanting children’s book. I love the concept, and it’s something I definitely wondered when I was a child!

I love the way the font style is played around with: way lines, different sizes, specific words highlighted etc. I think this makes for a more engaging read.

Overall I think this is a cute story, age appropriate, and something I would recommend!

I think this book is a cute exploration of the tooth fairy story. It doesn't feel like something that would be great to read aloud. I think it can be an enjoyable read, but I think it doesn't give much in the way of a tooth-fairy story overall. We get a bit of a glimpse into the world of fairies and a good amount of time with Gabriel which is nice, but the plot leaves a bit to be desired,

3,5 stars from me.
I think younger kids will love this! I love this!

The illustrations are gorgeous! And the story is so cute!

As a kid I wondered what happened to my teeth once the Tooth Fairy took them, it’s a great idea for a story!

This was such a fun story! It was more wordy than my almost four year old would have liked and he didn't want to sit still for it all, but he did enjoy the story. Maybe in a year or two he would enjoy it more. I loved the art and the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own.

This was a charming book, that I am sure would've been a favorite of mine if it was published when I was little. I loved the story and the illustrations and I can see this being a hit at story hours at libraries across the country!
