Thoughts:
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This collection is mixed for me, some of the poems were really good and all were definitely emotive but I think so many poems on the Hamas attack and subsequent war which is highly politically charged a little difficult to tackle.
Favourite Quote:

to open my heart
when in the end,
you will stab
it in the back?"
Broken Glass is a poignant collection of Jewish poetry that explores the complexities of love, resilience, and heritage. Through verses like 'Of Roots and Memories' and 'We Were Brothers,' the author beautifully captures the essence of human emotion, weaving together themes of history and personal struggle. Each poem is a journey, resonating with readers on a deeply emotional level. As a lover of literature, I found myself captivated by the author’s profound insights, making Broken Glass a great read for anyone seeking poetry that speaks to the soul.

This book was very good, it was a ton of short poems but with powerful messages behind them. Would put a trigger warning for anyone going through PTSD from Oct 7th. I would absolutely recommend so people can see the raw and real emotions of being Jewish in the 21st century
