Stephen R. Lawhead has been one of my favorite authors since my college days—which, let’s just say, was quite some time ago. Among his works, the Albion trilogy holds a special place, second only to the Empyrion duology on my list of favorites. Rooted in Celtic mythology, the series may start off a bit slow on a first read, but once it picks up, it’s an absolute thrill ride. A "clean" fantasy that deserves to stand alongside the greats of the genre!
