A charming read whereby a group of dog walkers becomes amateur detectives after finding a dead body in their local park. The story is engaging with twists and turns that kept me engaged.
As a cosy murder mystery lover, I found it to be a well-written and enjoyable read - I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series when they are released

Paw Deep..
A very dead body in a park, a group of dog walkers, a pack of delightful dogs and a puzzling mystery - these dog walkers are about to turn detective, alongside their canine companions of course. An entertaining cosy mystery with an eclectic and well drawn cast of characters, a well imagined setting and a plot paw deep in twists and turns. A promising first in a new series.

I have picked this up and put it down at least 4 times. I’m not sure why I don’t connect with the characters or the story. Obviously all the other reviewers have raved about it, so it is just me. The book is well written and the characters are fully formed and I predict it will be a popular book, it’s just not to my individual taste. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read.

This book was a brilliant read! I couldn’t put it down. I’m from East London and have two pooches so it was right up my street. When a body is found in their park it keeps the local Dog Park friends, headed by Louise start hunting for clues and information. Then when some dogs fall ill, they all jump into action, work together to get to the bottom of what is happening in their local area. This book is a murder mystery that is heart warming, an easy read and exciting.

I chose this based on the title and found it to be a highly enjoyable read. Before long there was a body and a series of poisonings for the group to attempt to solve despite being warned to steer clear by the police. There were a real mixture of characters (both human and canine) and there will be someone to appeal to everyone. I'll be telling my friends about this one!

There has been a murder and it’s close to home. Louise and her dog walking friend Irina find the body. Louise realises she knows who it is and is desperate to find out who done it. Enlisting her dog walking pals on Whatsapp incurs the wrath of the local policeman but it’s Irina who fancies getting a bit closer to him. Louise, the
The murdered man hadn’t been a member of the Whatsapp dog walking ‘Pack’ since he lost his own dog. Getting to know the victim posthumously’ the pair, in their fashion, reconstruct what he was passionate about whilst belatedly realising that they let him slip through the cracks of the social group.
Meanwhile a series of dog poisonings comes close to home and it’s all getting too real.
The local ex gangster now proud owner of a small feisty dog but not the Rottweiler he requested due to his daughter’s 'mistake', Gav starts to use his contacts in the area and proves he’s still young enough to fight back. In the end though, it is the social group ‘Pack’ that prove they are stronger together.
A little bit dog-heavy but to be fair that's in the title so you can't complain about that. It will appeal to lovers of dogs and cosy murders alike. This book turned out to be a fun outing in the park and as always the owners are responsible for cleaning up the mess.

The Dog Park Detectives is a paws-itively cosy murder mystery by Blake Mara.

When a dead body is found in a local park by 2 members of the dog walking group, Louise - our mfc - can’t help but look for clues and try to solve this mystery.

As dogs start getting ill, more of the group band together to figure out what’s going on!

This was a fun, easy read that I couldn’t put down. It’s a very cute spin on a murder mystery.

Thank you to NetGalley, the book publishers and author for allowing me an advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

'The Dog Park Detectives' by Blake Mara.

Murder is never just a walk in the park . . .
When friends Louise and Irina find a dead body in the local park whilst walking their dogs, they are soon drawn into the mystery of who murdered local entrepreneur Phil Creasey.
Phil used to be a member of their dog walking community – nicknamed ‘the Pack’ – until the death of his cockapoo, and the Pack feel they owe it to Phil to investigate his death. But with Louise and Irina leading the charge, it isn’t long until they’re neck-deep in local gangs, stolen motorcycles and a disturbing string of poisonings. Have the Pack bitten off more than they can chew, or can they follow their noses and solve the crime?
I mainly picked this book because of the cover. I'm a big fan of detective books when teamed with animals.
This book was a lot of fun to read. It kept me guessing till the end. Loved all the dogs and I particularly loved Gav and Violet.
If you are a fan of cosy crime and dogs then give this book a try. Would definitely read a sequel to this.
Thankyou to NetGallery UK, the publishers and the author for letting me read a copy in return for an honest review.

A lovely cosy crime novel that was a quick read that I enjoyed immensely. The dog motive with spread the appeal of this to more readers that enjoy the new style of cosy/ group of friends / animals books that are popular at the moment.

It's always dog walkers who find dead bodies. So when Louise and Irina find one in their local park AND it's someone they know, they can't help getting involved in trying to find out who did it.

They've got a gang of fellow dog walkers, called the Pack. And they all get involved in way more than they bargained for...

Brilliant
