In this novel she is called to the scene of a murder of a very rich man. There seems to be the strong possibility of a serial killer’s involvement. And maybe this serial killer has a close connection to some other rich people.
Susan is up against strong motives to keep things quiet but that’s not her style. And when another series of murders intersect with this case it is more apparent there is a killer who knows no bounds. And this killer is watchful and has sights on Susan.
This is a good follow up to Barons last book. 4 stars!

This is the second book for this series but can be read as stand lone. I found it an easy read however it didnt grip me as much as the first book. Characters were good and likeable. I will be trying the next book, the plot in this one just didnt hold my attention.

It kept me hooked and turning pages but I wasn't a fan of the charachters. I'm sure a lot of people will like it, not my cup of tea

In this story we follow Susan Parker and her team as they try to figure out who is killing members of a Billionaire Murder Club. With the help of an unlikely group of Podcasters, the team begins to piece together a gruesome picture that will definitely have you on the edge of your seat.

I loved the diverse group of likeable characters and I look forward to finding out more about them in future books.

I enjoyed this book so much, I was kicking myself for not reading Book 1 first. Thankfully this book works as a standalone, but I'm definitely going to go back and read the first book. Very much looking forward to more of this series!

This was an easy read. As an avid crime/police thriller reader there was a bit more explaining of topics/points than I feel were necessary especially since this is the 2nd book to a series. Overall it was a good read and I feel you could read as a stand alone as well.

This was, unfortunately, a DNF for me. The writing style simply didn't suit me and I found myself unable to enjoy this one.

FBI Agent Susan Parker is back and I couldn't be more thrilled. I really enjoyed part 2 of the series. The plot was great and fast paced. A group called The Murder Club have been tracking the killings of a serial killer when 1 one them turns up dead. Agent parker must find the killer before her family becomes the new victims.

Not going to lie the title of this one intrigued me and I read it based solely on that. I didn't know it was part of a series until after I started but it did read mostly like a standalone. I did get through this book quickly but it wasn't due to needing to know what happened. It was easy to read. The writing felt very clunky and elementary. The writer did a lot of telling and explaining instead of showing. There were these weird sections of explanations for crime or police lingo. I think anyone reading a book like this is familiar with the genre and wouldn't need these explanations. It broke the flow of the story as well.

I liked most of the characters. I will say it was distracting the use of jefe all the time by one of the team members. Felt weird and like the voice of that character was a cartoon. The story was a solid idea I don't think it was executed well.

I've realized the bucket of 3 stars has the biggest range for me out of all the star ratings. Considering how many I have recently given 3 stars and to me they are all on different parts of the 3 star spectrum.

Susan is back after her ordeal with the serial killer in the previous book and dealing with her husbands death. While taking care of her daughter and herself occasionally.
I really got into the first book I was on the edge of my seat but this time around it fell flat for me. I couldn’t get into it. It’s fast paced but I just don’t know I’m meh on it. Somethings missing it. Could be a me thing 😊🤷🏻‍♀️

This book was gripping and hard to put down. It didn't feel like everything else you see out there, it felt very fresh. I really enjoyed this book!

This is a 2nd book in the FBI Agent Susan Parker series, however can also be read as a standalone, which I did! I will be going back to purchase and read the first book as I enjoyed this book and the plotline.

If you enjoy serial killer stories this one is a great one to pick up!

Thrillers with a strong female lead character are always a favorite genre of mine, and this one delivers. I had not read the first of the series but easily "caught up" with the backstory and read this as a stand alone. I loved seeing minority characters, strong female characters, and a great setting. The plot was good with some nice twists I didn't see coming. I plan to read more of this series.

The Murder Club was a gripping read from the very beginning! I could not put this book down. FBI Agent Susan Parker is smart, charming and likeable. Will she be able to catch the Clothesline Killer before he strikes again? Will her family become his next victims? I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book and am looking forward to reading the next in the series! FBI Agent, Susan Parker is back to investigate the death of a local wealthy man murdered in his home. The investigation reveals he belonged to an underground club obsessed with the ‘clothesline killer’ who focussed on single mothers who neglected their children. Susan is introduced to a local girl, with a scrapbook linking more unsolved crimes to the clothesline killer. Then another member of this murder club is found dead, and Susan fears the clothesline killer is trying to silence those getting close to their identity.
This book can be read as a standalone. Susan’s character is likable and her background story well developed, her loyalties are split between her deaf daughter, Natalie and her passion for the job. An enjoyable read and already looking forward to the next instalment.

This was such an interesting concept for a book and I was surprised by the ending and the multiple shocks throughout the book. The author kept you on the edge of your seat quite a bit by dropping mini twists and bombs throughout, but there was still a big lead up to the end with a shocking ending. I didn’t initially realize this was the second book in a series, but that didn’t affect my enjoyment or understanding of the plot and characters. This book can easily be read as a standalone but I do now want to go back and read the first one. The ending also made it seem like there might be a third book in the works so I’ll be on the look out!

Read book 1 and couldn't put it down. Same goes for book 2!

Im thrilled to read book 3.

I love how this series has strong female characters but there are modern day relstions (i.e. POC, suicide, single parent, adult with parent trouble, unconventional family, etc)!
I need more Susan Parker & Co. in my life ASAP

Honest review -

3.3/5 for me

Mostly because I like Susan's character for the mother that she is(so millennial, it's not even funny) I like that she's Goan. I'm Goan so I relate. But that's where it ends. Sure she's Indian but Goan Indian's are very different in comparison to most Indians. AND IT SHOWS. But for Susan it doesn't really. She morphs into the stereotypical Indian.

Maybe I'm just being hard on Susan cz she might be the closest to the Susegad (laid back) Goan character I've ever read. But it still hurts a lil that her Goan Heritage wasn't used enough :')

Story wise it is your typical "I'm seeing the perspective of the killer and the cop" and because of that you see the killer and the *I can't say it* from a mile away and that kinda sucks.

And if I'm being totally honest, I think I liked The Therapy Room (Book 1) better.

This book has its moments. Good and bad ones (Take a Shot every time someone calls Susie, Jefe)

But I will definitely read the next book.

This book is the 2nd book in the Susan Parker series. This was fast paced and kept my interest. I feel like it would have been better if I had read the first book.
