I enjoyed reading the first part of the book where the author writes about the creation of bitcoin and how the world of hackers work and how much determination they have to meet their objectives especially when they are under so much scrutiny from law enforcement. In spite of all the doubts bitcoin is a reality and works widely around the world. I found the the last part of the story - Automaton - lacking syncronicity with the previous ones, and I found it even harder to understand how an intelligent and practical woman as Ada becomes such a vengeful leader who at the same time is also responsible for the world's happiness.
I thank the author and NetGalley for this ARC.
Unique story line and a lot of background on crypto and blockchain. I found it unique how art was also added in to this story as well.
Thank you NetGalley for my DRC.
Buckle up, folks, because Dark Goddess is a wild ride from start to finish! Imagine this: it's 2009, the world's in chaos with the financial crisis, and then bam! Enter Satoshi Nakamoto and the birth of Bitcoin. But hold onto your hats, because this ain't your typical financial story. We're talking cybercriminals, government agents, and a couple of genius hackers thrown into the mix. I couldn't put this book down! It's like a rollercoaster of adrenaline-pumping action and mind-bending mystery. If you're looking for a book that'll keep you hooked from page one, Dark Goddess is it!
