The premise is great and the delivery good. When the World was Flat (and we were in love) is an entertaining read with compelling characters; it starts of slow but picks up a little bit later and ends on a cliff-hanger.
I admit I picked this book first because of the cover, then for the description.
I like the recurring dreams theme in books, for some reason I am always drawn to this sort of books, though I feel like the "new boy at school" is something overdone at this point.
This being said, I was entertained by the parallel dimensionsI liked the "technical" parts behind the crossing into other dimensions. The love story (which takes its time) had me invested and I appreciated the other characters just as well. Though the start is slow and I found some plot holes, I loved the path I was following. I found the ending satisfying, though I would still be interested in exploring more of this world.
