Juliet is a lawyer that is aspiring to he a writer. She is currently in Paris to attend a summer institute. She’s a people pleaser but she’s a lot a little naïve. Gabriel is bit of a grump on the outside but on the inside he’s a romantic gentleman. While watching these two connect was an enjoyable emotional rollercoaster that felt real. This was my first book by this author and wont be my last.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Juliet and Gabriel. Juliet is a lawyer, who has come to Paris to study at a university for writing. Gabriel is an artist. There is an instant attraction. They keep running into each other. They start dating. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Beautifully written piece by Ellie Jennings. The story between Juliet and Gabriel showed an emotional rollercoaster which I enjoyed joining them for. The relationship between these characters were so realistic which made it easier to relate and connect with them.
Thank you for allowing me to read.

What can I say about this love story that was filled with love, compassion, genuine caring, found family, and learning that you can’t run from your past? This debut story centered around Juliet and Gabriel, in a fresh take on a couple not only trying to find themselves but grow in love. The story was charming, tender, and filled with an enduring cast of characters.

Read this one if you like: found family, he falls first, he takes care of her, one bed, and stories that find the MCs healing from past traumas.

Thank you to Net Galley, Ellie Jennings and Inverlea Press, LLC for an ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Juliet Chandler is an lawyer who is aspiring to be
writer and from NYC. She is in Paris to attend a
Summer Institute. Gabriel Beaumont moved to Paris
three years ago to open an Art Gallery. He is a bit
grumpy as he has sworn off dating since he had his
heart broken. He has sworn off dating, that is until he
met Juliet. Can you say love at first sight?! Gabriel
ends up being Juliet's "guide" to Paris and he falls
hard. She is suppose to be there only for the summer
but will he be able to talk her into staying for good?

Juliet is a bit naive and innocent but this is because
she is a people pleaser. It is great to see her grow
through out the story and start to focus on her
happiness.
Gabriel's character although a bit grumpy is actually
very sweet, a romantic and such a gentleman
especially when it comes to Juliet.

The cast of supporting characters is wonderful. There
are definitely a few that will hate. Cristian is one of
those characters you will hate a first but end up loving
in the end.

Quote "To me, home would always permanently be
where ever he was."

Thank you Ellie Jennings for allowing me to be part of
your ARC Team on this wonderful book. After reading
this book I feel like I have been to Paris.

Angel Eyes by Ellie Jennings is beautiful and well-written. Juliet and Gabriel’s story was an emotional roller coaster, and I loved every second of it.
Their relationship felt real, raw, and authentic. I felt so deeply connected to the characters and was rooting for them.
Ellie Jennings did not disappoint! Her writing was captivating and I was hanging onto her every word.

Thank You NetGalley and Publisher for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

I requested this because it gave me the same vibes as the TV show From Scratch. Angel Eyes is similar to the show but without all the heartache and this has an HEA.

The story is set in Paris during the summer. The author did a fantastic job describing the setting. I felt like I was there.

This is a summer romance so there is a bit of insta love happening but the characters had such great connection I didn't mind. Gabriel & Juliet were well written characters. We learn so much about them throughout the novel that they felt like real people. They complimented each other and I loved their scenes together. They had a lot of chemistry which made the slow burn torture!

A sweeping summer romance that readers will fall in love with.

This was very well written, if a tad long. Excited to see what the next book is.

🌶🌶

Angel Eyes is the debut novel by author Ellie Jennings and is the first book in the Paris in a Heartbeat series. It follows Juliet and Gabriel on their love adventure in Paris!

This could not have been a better beginning! Right from the start I was hooked! I am actually not one for insta love tropes but this one was written right to where yes they fell instantly but there was a deep connection and understanding right from the start that was swoon worthy.

The story line was phenomenal and kept me on my toes the whole time. The characters meshed really well together and were really well written. Like I hated Gabriel's cousin Cristian at first then by the end I was so in love with his character (cannot wait for more on him!!)

You will love this book if you enjoy insta love, one bed, he falls first, found family and so much more!

I need a book on Cristian but also need a book on professor Benoit and Lily because I sense something is brewing!!

Thank you so much to Ellie Jennings, Inverlea Press, LLC & Netgalley for the gifted copy.

While in Paris she crashes into Gabriel who’s more than happy to be her guide. This is my first time reading a book my this author and I had such a great time reading it. I really enjoyed both Juliet and Gabriel as characters so that was an added bonus.

Title: Angel Eyes by Ellie Jennings
Book 1 of Paris in a Heartbeat

Release Date: May, 24th, 2024

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Stars

Gabriel Beaumont, a man with a strict no-dating policy after a past heartbreak, finds himself irresistibly drawn to Juliet Chandler, an aspiring writer from New York attending a summer institute in Paris. Despite his reluctance to enter into a relationship, Gabriel can't resist spending time with her. However, as their summer romance deepens, Gabriel must confront his fear of love and commitment to keep Juliet in his life, even if it means reevaluating his past decisions and facing his inner demons.

This enchanting story left me yearning to travel to Paris with its vivid and tempting descriptions. Jennings skillfully blends culture into this cute love story, making it truly memorable. Her talent as an author shines through, and I eagerly anticipate her future works.

However, the swift development of the main characters' love for each other left me wishing for a bit more build-up in that area. Despite this, I highly recommend "Angel Eyes" to anyone seeking a romance fix, especially if you're drawn to stories set in the romantic backdrop of Paris. After all, who could resist a love story in the City of Love?

Tropes:

Love at First Sight
Opposites Attract

📖Angel Eyes- A Love at First Sight Romance in Paris
✍️Ellie Jennings
📚Paris in a Heartbeat #1

This book was a breath of sweet fresh air! The FMC - Juliet Chandler (love the name) - was a girl who always put others before her, stuck in a career and relationship she didn’t really want. When she gets a chance to escape for a summer writing program in Paris, she takes a very uncharacteristic step to do it, something for her own happiness!

The MMC - Gabriel! - is a beautiful artist, with some complicated family baggage and a whole lot of patience!
When they run into each other on a bridge, they realise theres something in the universe leading them to cross paths! They try and deny, and act casual but its very evident , very soon how great they are together. ❤️❤️

Their romance is endearing, they each support the other to carve out their niche in their new careers! Paris, is the subtle third main character in this story!

And we get to know so many other characters, that I cant wait for the next book!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫

I think I just found a new auto-buy author!

I COULD NOT put this down, and I DEVOURED it in one day.

This is going to be a PERFECT summer read. I can already tell!

This book was so sweet, refreshing, and steamy! I really couldn't put it down at all, and I got so annoyed every time I did have to stop to do work.

Summer Romance ✅
He Falls First ✅
Love at First Sight ✅

Our story follows Juliet Chandler, a lawyer from New York who decides to apply and gets accepted to a summer writing program in Paris, France. This is where she meets our hero, Gabriel Beaumont, who is a bicycle tour guide by day and an artist by night!! (Kind of sort of, but he's an artist when he isn't a tour guide.)

After Juliet crashes into him (quite literally), she loses her planner, which Gabriel finds. Gabriel returns to her at the coffee shop that she had penciled in and offers to show her around Paris. She takes him up on this offer (after losing his number and taking one of his bike tours), and this is where we see their romance begin to blossom!

Not only do we see their romance and friendship grow, but we also get to see Juliet grow. I loved seeing her grow throughout this book, finally deciding that sometimes she has to put herself first and stop helping other people better their lives.

The only thing , I think is that I wish we had seen a little bit more inner conflict from Gabriel. We saw a bit, but I wish we saw a little bit more toward the middle and in the second half, especially trying to tell himself how different Juliet is from the ex who ruined him.

However, not having that didn't impact my overall view and love for this book! This book had me silently squealing, grinning like a fool, and fanning when it got a little hot.

Ellie's writing is like a breath of fresh air, and I CANNOT wait to read more of what she has to come. Especially if there's Cristian's story... 👀👀because I loooved him, and I loved his friendship with Juliet.

But also loooved Lily! So maybe? Maybe even for Ember? Possibly?? What about Professor B?? I loved him, too.

See! Ellie created such great characters in this book that I want to read about ALL of them and I want them ALL to have amazing and wonderful love stories with happily ever afters! I'll be stalking this series like a hawk!
