Parkin does a wonderful job of storytelling in a way that feels authentic to the point that it hits you square in the chest. Despite never having experienced much of the conditions first-hand, I found myself relating in a very personal way to each character.

I think this was a debut novel and according to Amazon is going to be released the summer of 2020. It was an enjoyable story to read, almost to the point I didn't want it to end. For me it was a good choice to read during during the stay at home pandemic.
