So I thought that this was going to be a cute romcom, perfect for the summer months, but I was let down. It's a decently written book, but the constant squabbling between two adults about a situation that took place in middle school was too much for me.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Casey and Phillip. They have known each other for all their lives. Casey is a fact finder at a magazine, she wants to be a writer. Phillip is working at his family’s business. He is launching a cruise ship and invited some journalists, including Casey. He will not give any interviews, but that’s what Casey’s boss wants. There is an attraction. They decide to have a one night stand. It is very intense. They fall in love.

Casey Hughes is a struggling travel journalist desperate for a big break when she lands the assignment of a hop on board Aurelia for its maiden voyage through paradise. While she’ll bask in the luxury cruise ship’s fine dining and complimentary spa treatments, her real mission is to snag an exclusive interview with Phillip Woodmont.

Casey and the elusive shipping heir have history. Once, they were nothing short of brutal enemies. Though the former brace-faced teen is now a suited-up CEO with devastating good looks, he makes it clear to Casey that he has no interest in forgetting their past.

The volatile grudge between them is as explosive as ever. More than once Casey is tempted to toss Phillip overboard, but for her work, she’ll have to swallow her pride. If it’s an apology he’s after, she’ll serve it up on a silver platter. If he wants her to walk the plank, she’ll salute with an aye, aye, Captain.

Casey can’t let him provoke her. She needs this interview. So if Phillip wants to play dirty, Casey will just have to play dirtier.

I love RS Grey’s books so much, but this one wasn’t my favorite of hers. The characters weren’t relatable, and I didn’t connect with the storyline.

Summer may be over, but Caribbean Crush will transport you right back to the beach and make you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation! This book is packed with sun-soaked romance, witty banter, and all the feels. I couldn’t put it down!

The characters were all so likable. Casey is a travel journalist determined to get an interview the cruise ship CEO, Phillip. Except it turns out, they are childhood enemies and Phillip is not so quick to forgive and forget. The banter and the chemistry is everything I love in an enemies to lovers rom com!

RS Grey’s signature humor and heart shine through every page, making this a light hearted and fun read. This was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy and definitely made me want to take a vacation!

I enjoyed Caribbean Crush. It has a proper setting for a beach read.
Casey and Phillip both had a past and while I wasn't exactly happy that he had a grudge for so long over something so mundane I liked everything else. They had great chemistry and the writing was so engaging I felt like I was on board of Aurelia.
The ending was a little surprising if not farfetched, so 4 stars.

Perfectly cute romance as only R. S. Grey can deliver. Slow burn and witty dialogue make this enemies with a past to lovers enjoyable to devour. Casey, a struggling author has to interview Phillip, a grumpy billionaire, taking his new cruise ship on it's maiden voyage. She will do what it takes to get an interview with him, he will do everything it takes to make that not happen. Let the games begin.

I've been a RS Grey reader for years, and my favorite book of hers has always been the Arrogant D3v!l. I can't remember how many time I've re-read it... If someone asks me what your top fave books are, it includes that...

Anyway... I signed up to Caribbean Crush because the blurb got me hooked. And as soon as the e-book hit my kindle, I devoured it right away.

I love the storyline... I love the characters... I enjoyed its entirety. I just wish there was more to the ending. I felt like it was a little bit rushed or hanging... I wanted to read more of Phillip and Casey. This is probably just me... its just that their story was swoon-worthy and gave me thrills and butterflies but the ending didn't cut it for me... I feel like the last chapter needed more of them or at least an epilogue. The romantic sap in me needed more...

This book started off with all the promises of being the perfect rom com to escape with and for the most part that’s what this book delivered but I found it swerved into less laughs and more desperate to race to their happily ever after - which is ok, I just found it to be a little rushed. Overall, I think my rating landed on personal preference and I would have liked more banter over spice and story development over insta lust.

Do I enjoy reading this authors books? always. Was this a favourite of mine? not this time around. Do I think others will enjoy? Yes.

Things I did enjoy included - the developing friendship between the protagonist and her holiday friend, the history between the protagonist’s and the descriptions of travel on this luxury cruise.

RS Grey will continue to be a winner in the romance world her stories create an escape for all us love story enthusiasts. This time around I fell into like and not love - and that’s ok, I’m sure many of you will find more to love. Enjoy.

I absolutely love RS Grey's books, and this book did not disappoint.

This book tells us the story of Casey and Phillip. Casey is a travel journalist, well kind of, that has been tasked to aboard a Caribbean cruise in order to secure an exclusive interview with billionaire, Phillip Woodmont. The problem is that Phillip remembers their past and refuses to give her an interview.

The banter and laughs between these two characters are amazing. I was gripped from the very first page! I loved every second of it. It was entertaining, ligt hearted, and overall such an amazing read.

I would 100% recommend this book.

I loved this book! This book was so fun to read. It made me want to go on a cruise again, so badly! I loved the enemies to lovers vibe and the history of the characters that helped them achieve a deeper connection. RS’s banter is always so good! And her ability to write a book boyfriend never fails.

I was completely enchanted with this book! The heroine initially appears to be a bit ditzy but as you read you realize she’s just had a few hard years and she’s just floating, waiting for her bad luck to change. She’s been toiling at a menial job in a travel magazine, waiting for a chance at a travel journalist position but my take is that they were using her with no intent to deliver.

When Casey mentions she knows reclusive Phillip Woodmont, she’s given the assignment to get an exclusive interview during the Aurelia maiden voyage. So she’s cruising along the Caribbean, with a fantastic new friend, influencer Sienna Thomas, and trying without success so get her interview. Her attempts are comical until they finally get it going. She’s unaffected, beautiful but doesn’t realize it, intelligent and kind. I liked that her actions showed integrity even as she has no shame bargaining with Phillip for her interview. At the moment, she’s aimless with no home, her future seems dim, but she’s not bitter, just oddly at peace.

Phillip is the kind of man who wants a completely ordered existence, total control all around. He had an ideal girlfriend who filled all the checkboxes but she dumped him. Now, he’s dealing with this rebel rouser who turned his world topsy turvy, irritates him but excites him to no end.

This is the case of two opposites who have found the perfect partner to balance them. Casey woke Phillip up to life and made him embrace the chaos. Suddenly, he realizes what he was missing and wants more, but she finds she’s not enough. She has no life to speak of and she needs to find her future. There are some very deep moments while Casey grows and realizes she was in a rut.

I loved Casey’s and Sienna’s antics, the beautiful friendship they formed, the love that started forming out from a childhood brief friendship and that now grows from incredible chemistry and passion, the banter and the good times that are the hallmark for a cruise. The romance was wonderful, great development of their feelings, the pull and push of a cruise fling that goes more serious than expected. I loved Casey, she’s so kind and quirky, there’s just no helping loving her.

This is one of the nicest books this author has written and I had a great time reading! I cringed, laughed, said “oh no she didn’t!” several times, got sad several times, loved seeing Phillip lose control, the dancing on top of the table, it was a great trip!

As I started reading this it reminded me of a perfect summer read. This is a slow burn, workplace romance, second chance romance, enemies to lovers, billionaire and forced proximity storyline. Casey and Philip have known each other before. She’s hoping he won’t remember when she’s offered the assignment to go travel on the cruise ship, experience everything it has to offer but she needs to interview Philip. They but heads on every turn and it’s a wild ride. This is a great story if you’re looking for a quick romcom.

This was a fun read, and would be perfect for summer. The heroine was not my favorite and did annoy me a little bit in the beginning, but grew on me. Even though I did enjoy this one, it is not my fave book by the author. But I loved reading about the traveling and friendship, and the hero was great

Another great romcom from Grey! I’ve enjoyed the few of hers I’ve picked up so far, and they have all been really enjoyable travel escapes, prompting me to purchase multiple other (audio) books to read in the very near future.

These are very quick and easy reads, without too much drama and angst, and the ones I’ve read have all been travel themed, enemies to lovers, and all with the perfect level of spice. Caribbean Crush I think is my fave so far, and I do love that so many are travel focused because I’m in travel myself (agent), as this one takes place on a cruise. Cruising is my absolute favorite type of vacation! It just makes this particular book, and the way everything is focused on the trip, that much more appealing to me.

The enemies to lovers aspect is so much more fast-paced, with a middle school grudge that is quickly turned around due to the forced proximity aspect of the cruise ship, and the short term aspect of the vacation. Learning everything about what went down between Casey and Phillip all those years ago in school, how they both came to be on the sailing, the new friendships that formed onboard (not just between them but other passengers, and wow, I love the side character Sienna)… this is such a great read! I absolutely adore how it ends - it gave me the best “feels”!! And, such a gorgeous cover, how can anyone pass it by? Absolutely 4.5-stars for this one.

I totally, highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys travel themed romances, rivalries turned around, and mid-level steam. It’s a really quick escape read that can be finished in a single seating, and would be a fantastic beach selection!
