A funny, fantastic adventure and love story! I loved the beginning of this story with Casey’s internal dialogue. She is a quirky and fantastic character. Phillip comes across as a stuffy businessman but deep down is very thoughtful and caring. Casey and Philip’s initial interactions were fantastic and their banter was off the charts. The voyage to their love story is sweet, funny and entertaining. The additional cast of characters are also amazing and add so much to the story.

Caribbean Crush was a cute, spicy rom-com that takes place aboard a cruise ship. I’ve read and loved many of R.S Grey’s books but it’s been a few years since I last read one so this seemed like the perfect one to jump back in. While I had high hopes for this, it wasn’t my favorite.

I loved that this took place on a cruise ship and I enjoyed all the descriptions of the excursions Casey and Sienna go on!

This had the amazing banter I’ve come to expect from Grey’s books but while I liked Casey and Phillip together, I was hoping for more between them than lust.
I was a bit disappointed with the reason for Casey and Phillip being “brutal enemies”. It was a childhood prank and the fact that he is STILL holding a grudge years later when they hadn’t seen or spoken to each other since was a bit ridiculous. In fact, both of them are pretty immature about it.

The side characters were great, especially Phillips friend Tyson and Casey's cruise neighbor Sienna. I liked the quick friendship that Casey forms with her. And Casey finally standing up to her boss was wonderful!

Overall, this was a fun, quick read and I’d recommend it for readers who enjoy rom-coms!

This book was written so well and easy to read, loved the story line too. The 2 main people Casey and Phillip i just loved them both, so glad Phillip stopped being moody towards her in the end. also started to love Casey and the other guy, wish they was in it abit more. However some of the chapters at the start of the book are about on hour long ( if you read this book on kindle) this is the reason why i had to rate it 3 stars and higher. could have made them chapters smaller and the book longer but over all a good book and people should read it beacuse i can see this book doing go9od with the romnce readers.

I’m having a really hard time understanding why an adult man would harbor such feelings of anger and betrayal so many years after a middle school prank. I just really do not like arguments between children being the source of tension between adults in an enemies to lovers romance. I’m too old for this.

I always used to love this author’s books, but I’m starting to think we’re heading in different directions. This just seemed so wordy, and filled with details that weren’t necessary. Flashbacks to middle school are taking forever. Explanations and descriptions are taking forever. There’s hardly any actual dialogue, it’s all just telling. I appreciate the dual point of view, but they are both telling the reader the same thing. I don’t care to read all the he said she said stuff. I also really don’t care about all the technological workings of a cruise ship. I want fun and romance, not science. I don’t care to hear interviews word for word. It’s boring, listening to Phillip think things and then say those same things to various reporters or journalists or coworkers. I loved the foundation of the friendship developing between the main girl and her neighbor, but I can’t hang in there long enough to see that through. These two main characters are just too immature.

After a string of fantastic heavy reads, Caribbean Crush was just what I needed. Casey, struggling with the loss of her beloved grandma, sets sail for her dream job, travel writer. However, she must catch an interview with the travel whale himself, Phillip, first. The problem is this whale doesn’t want to be caught. Nevertheless, Casey is determined to achieve her goal not matter what it takes.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The enemies to lovers is a trope I never pass up. I thought the book was ver well written.

Casey’s goal is to become a travel journalist however she finds herself stagnated in her current position with the magazine where she works. Facing nothing but challenges, both personally and professionally, to ensure she gets the assignment of interviewing the CEO while on a Caribbean cruise she claims a relationship with him that one might say is exaggerated.

Philip is a successful businessman who has a past with Casey that he would like to forward even if it happened two decades ago. He has no intention of being interviewed by anyone but especially Casey however he soon realizes the sparks of animosity between them are only a cover for feelings that run much deeper.

Humorous banter, a less-than-ideal past and feelings and chemistry that neither expected is sure to entertain as what begins as a battle of wills evolves into so much more.

This was a fun read. It has R.S. Grey’s signature banter and recipe for “enemies-to-lovers” just like the romcom queen does them. It was not my favorite of hers though. Although I did enjoy this one, it felt lacking in certain areas compared to other of R.S. Grey’s works.

This may be just me, but I didn’t feel a strong emotional connection between the two main characters, and it just felt too insta-lusty for my taste.

I did enjoy all the banter though, because I just live how R.S. Grey writes banter. I also really enjoyed the cruise ship and vacation aspect of the story. It makes me want to hop on a cruise for a few days and just bask in the sun and forget about all my responsibilities. *chuckles while folding clothes*

*A huge thanks to R.S. Grey and Grey’s Promotions for providing me with an eARC for review. All thoughts are my own.*

What a delightful summer read! This is the quintessential vacation read with so many amazing tropical scenes. This was such a fun enemies to lovers/second chance romance/forced proximity read. I loved Casey and Phillip. Their banter was super fun, a key ingredient to RS Grey’s perfect romcom recipe. I loved Casey’s grit and they way that she handled herself to stand up and fight for what she wanted when it came to her career. And her friendship with Sienna??? Oh my goodness! Mega friendship goals! Would love a book where Sienna gets her happy ending! Tyson definitely deserves a good friend award as well.

Bottom Line: Read it!

Caribbean Crush was a fun, entertaining read from R.S. Grey!

Casey is a fact checker for a travel magazine who really wants to make the jump to writer. She sizes the opportunity to prove herself when a luxury, green cruise ship is being launched by a guy from her past, Philip. They didn't part on good terms years ago and don't stay out on a good foot either. I enjoyed their relationship development and seeing them grow closer over the course of the cruise.

The story and character development were nicely paced and it all flowed really well. I enjoyed this one quite a bit and was hooked from the beginning.

This was a fun light hearted vacation fling meets real feelings read. Casey and Phillip had immediate chemistry, built on their childhood friendship and it was fun to see how things heated up on the high seas.

The plot was a biiiit messy, how they ultimately got together, how her work came between them and how they kept pushing away the very real feelings so quickly and easily that when it finally came time for the third act resolution (at 96% mind you) I really wanted more to the next stage of their relationship.

Never the less this was a great beach read and I would love to see a follow up for Sienna, or Tyson!

Having been on several cruise ships, I was transported there immediately while reading Caribbean Crush!

Travel journalist Casey sets out on the Auriela's maiden voyage with the mission of interviewing the reclusive shipping heir and CEO owner of the ship. Small problem: they were bitter rivals as teenagers. Casey and Phillip's story is everything you'd expect from rivals/enemies-to-lovers: witty banter, lots of tension, and a deep-rooted dislike of one another. All set in a tropical paradise! The push and pull between these characters is addicting as they navigate their changing feelings for each other and their messy history.

Summer may be over, but Caribbean Crush is a delightful holiday escape! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

This book might just get me to change my mind though. This book was another fun romcom from R.S Grey and the setting of a luxury cruise ship in the Caribbean made me rethink my no cruise stance.

This book follows Casey Hughes a fact checker at a travel magazine who is hoping an interview with the elusive Phillip Woodmont will move her from fact checker to her dream of a travel journalist. The problem, Casey and Phillip have history from middle school and not the good kind. As a result of that history, Phillip refuses to give Casey the time of day. She does not let that stop her and she continues to pester Phillip.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between these two characters. They were kind of enemies to lovers, but not really. Phillip held the grudge against Casey for just a bit of the book, and the reason was actually kind of funny. Where Phillip is buttoned up and formal, Casey is kind of chaos. She has been struggling lately and is really hoping this trip and assignment will be the thing to turn it all around for her.

The travel influencer, Sienna and Casey's neighbor on this cruise was another fun part of this story. The two developed a fast friendship and we should all be so lucky to make a friend that easily. I really wanted to be on this trip with them.

The setting of this story was just as much a part of this book. I wanted to go on these hikes, spend time learning to surf on the beach, and drink and dance in local bars on the islands. I wanted to lounge by the pool on this ship and I was hungry reading about all of the delicious food they got to eat.

This book was a lot of fun to read, Thank you to Netgalley, Grey's Promo and RS. Grey for my arc of this book. Caribbean Crush is out now and is available with Kindle Unlimited.

4.5⭐️

Caribbean Crush was an unputdownable enemies to lovers summer read! The story follows Casey, an aspiring travel writer assigned to a job on a new luxury cruise ship. We also see a second POV from the MMC Phillip, the heir to the cruise company and the man in charge on the ship.

This book felt like taking a vacation while reading. Expect a lot of beautifully described travel scenery, close friendships, fun banter and plenty of spice! 🌶️🥵 Phillip and Casey had such palpable chemistry, I didn’t want to put the book down and read late into the night. Without weighing the book down too much the author also touched on more serious subjects like grief, and finding your place in the world.

I hadn’t read R.S. Grey in a while but I definitely plan to read more soon!

4/5 stars

If you're looking for a tropical vacation book that allows you to escape, this one is it! I kept picturing the beach, the giant cruise ship and the incredible descriptions of food while reading "Caribbean Crush" by R.S Grey.

Casey Hughes is a 'fact checker' at Bon Voyage (yes, that is her real title) and she really is just trying to get her big break so she can be a journalist. She thinks her big break is getting an exclusive interview with Phillip Woodmont but it's a bit harder than she thought because of their history.

Phillip and Casey have so much history but are they willing to put it aside or work through it? I loved the tension, slow burn, chemistry and enemies to lovers aspect.

My favorite part of this book was the friendship between Casey and Sienna! Sienna is the next door neighbor on the cruise ship that turns out to be the best thing that has happened to Casey. Their heartwarming friendship makes me so happy for both of them and we all need a Sienna in our lives.

Read this book if you like:
-enemies to lovers
-slow burn with chemistry
-beach vacation books
-female friendship books

Thank you R,S, Grey and Netgalley for this book!

I was hooked from the very beginning of this story! Casey has found herself in a new situation. She actually put herself out there in her job, and now she has to follow through on what she said. Which is also why she’s finagled a spot on the new cruise ship, Aurelia. Casey and Phillip have a past. And it’s not great. So she’s going to have to win him over. This book had heart and heat and new friendships for the win! Couldn’t read this one fast enough! Be sure to grab your copy!

Caribbean Crush is a quintessential beach read. It’s jammed packed full of genuine female friendship, enemies to lovers, witty banter, laugh out loud humor and lots of steam.

Casey Hughes is down on her luck. She’s stuck in a low level, go nowhere job, she recently lost her grandmother, her only remaining family, and is nearly homeless. She’s assigned to report on the maiden voyage of the cruise ship Aurelia but more importantly get an exclusive with the elusive shipping heir Phillip Woodmont. She and Phillip have a history from middle school that he’s not willing to forgive. He absolutely refuses to give her that interview but Casey is tenacious in her pursuit.

Casey starts to systematically wear Phillip down and he begins to respect her. She challenges him when so few do. Their banter is next level delicious. It was so fun to read. Their chemistry also begins to boil over and feels as if it leaps off the page. They eventually agree to a “one night” type situation. Best laid plans and all that.

Casey also meets Sienna on the cruise. Their cabins are right next to each other. I was initially worried Sienna would be a mean girl but she is friendship goals. Theirs is a friendship you see pretty quickly will last. It was a real highlight of the book.

As they cruise around the Caribbean we the readers are treated to exotic travel destinations and a few hilarious excursions that had me laughing out loud. R.S. Grey’s descriptions of the cruise ship and ports were so vivid I felt I was there with them. And more importantly it made me want to go on a cruise in paradise. If you’re looking for a swoony beach read this is the one to pick up.

Thanks to R.S. Grey and Grey’s Promotions for the review opportunity.

This book was the perfect blend of romance, humor, and a little bit of rivalry. The characters were so well-developed and had great chemistry. I loved the way Casey and Phillip’s past played into their present relationship. It added a layer of tension and made their eventual connection even more satisfying.

The setting was also amazing. I felt like I was right there on the cruise ship, enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful scenery. The author did a great job of creating a world that was both glamorous and exciting.

If you’re looking for a fun and flirty read that will keep you turning the pages until the very end, It’s a perfect escape from reality.
