What a fun, sweet, and lighthearted rom-com, perfect for a summer getaway, that will make you swoon and giggle, kick your feet, warm your heart, and leave you smiling from ear to ear!! Watch as rivals turn into lovers in a captivating slow-burn, second chance romance set on a luxury cruise to the Caribbean. Filled with humor, banter, tension and heartfelt moments, this story boasts richly developed characters with genuine depth and palpable chemistry. I absolutely adored this delightful escape, brimming with sunshine, crashing waves, romance, and laughter!!🩷💜🩷💜

Synopsis:
Casey Hughes, a struggling travel journalist desperate for a big break, lands the assignment of a lifetime: a spot on the maiden voyage of the luxurious Aurelia, cruising through paradise. While she'll indulge in the ship's fine dining and complimentary spa treatments, her true mission is to secure an exclusive interview with Phillip Woodmont, the elusive shipping heir.

Casey and Phillip have a history-a brutal rivalry that started when they were teenagers. Now, the once braced-faced girl faces a suited-up CEO with devastating good looks, but Phillip makes it clear he hasn't forgotten their past. The grudge between them is an explosive as ever, and more than once, Casey is tempted to toss Phillip overboard. But she knows she can't let him get under her skin.

She needs this interview, and if that means swallowing her pride, she'll do it-whether that's offering an apology on a silver platter or saluting him with an "aye, aye, Captain" as he orders her to walk the plank. If Phillip wants to play dirty, Casey is ready to play dirtier!

Overall, I was completely immersed in the their story from start to finish! If your looking for a heartwarming romantic comedy with a happily ever after then this is a book for you!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Caribbean Crush is a fun, sweet, and steamy book that’s perfect for summer!

Casey Hughes is going through a tough time in her personal life. On top of that, she isn’t where she wants to be in her career. Her goal of becoming a travel journalist seems to be within reach if she can get an exclusive interview with Phillip Woodmont. Phillip is launching an amazing cruise ship (I would like a ticket please!) and he has invited the press on its maiden voyage. Should be a pretty easy job, right? Wrong. Phillip notoriously does not give interviews or speak about his personal life AND he has history with Casey from middle school, and it didn’t end well. So it’s not an easy task but Casey has nothing to lose and is ready to advance her career.

I won’t spoil anything by telling you if her mission is successful. You’ll have to read for yourself (and I recommend you do).

Let’s talk about Phillip. Phillip is private, rich, and successful. But he is also very caring about both his company and the people who work for him. Throughout his life no one has challenged him. Until Casey comes back into his life and she definitely challenges him!

The banter and tension between them had me staying up wayyyyy too late.

Also, I loved the side characters. Sienna and Tyson are wonderful.

I don’t want to spoil anything so I will wrap up by saying, if you are looking for a fun, light, spicy, summer read, Caribbean Crush is a great choice!

What I liked: There is nothing I love more than a cruise setting. Growing up we did a lot of family cruises and I always had that fantasy of finding a vacation fling aboard the seas. I also enjoyed the sheer opulence of the setting. This is supposed to be the most innovative and high class ship and I feel like it really showed that on the page.

Now for what I didn't love: Look I really wanted to love this book. I've read almost all of R.S Grey's books and I am just starting to find them too formulaic, the characters too perfect, and the enemies-to-lovers arc too cliche. For example, Philip hates Casey because the mean girls in her middle school made her play a prank on him and 20 years later he is STILL holding a grudge. Like dude MOVE ON! I don't think anyone has a good middle school experience. I don't even remember middle school! What really ruined the story for me was at the end of the book Sienna hands Casey an Instagram account she secretly created for her even though Casey isn't a "social media girl" and the account just happens to have 25,000 followers. Why is that you ask? Because she was featured on Sienna's page and everyone thought she was hot. It's so unrealistic and kind of icky. If she had to have a social media stardom plotline, I would have much preferred Sienna convince Casey to start the account herself and tell her she would mentor her or something along those lines.

Look I'm sure a lot of people will love this book. At one point, I probably would have too. I am just looking to read romance with a little more substance.

Read if you like Enemies to Lovers, vacation romance. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review. This book releases 9/3kk

I've read pretty much all of R.S. Grey's books and always know I'm in for a good time. This, however, was probably one of my favorites of hers! The main characters were likeable and the banter was great. We had a major class/money difference and the author navigates the waters to make it not feel icky. I really enjoyed this one!

4.5 Stars

I’ve been an R.S. Grey stan for over ten years now & I won’t be stopping any time soon! She is queen of the feel-good rom coms where you laugh a little, swoon & leave feeling good. Caribbean Crush was no different and would definitely be in my top ten, maybe five— which is saying something as she’s written something like thirty books?!

I loved the setting of Caribbean Crush being on a cruise ship! What a fresh idea in a genre where that’s very hard to do. It was definitely a first for me at least! The chemistry was absolutely sizzling which is something RS Grey truly does so well. She’s been getting a little bit spicier lately as well which I’m not mad about. ;)

If I had any gripes about the book they would be that I wish there had been a little more tie up to the end. It seemed a little rushed! Also I was a little annoyed the main characters never had a proper conversation about their history & what happened when they were younger! I feel like it would have been nice to see them really settle it on the page. And I will say, Casey seemed a little too comfortable with getting off the cruise ship and wandering around by herself in random countries & ports?! Maybe this is just the true crime following scaredy cat in me but I was alarmed for her.

Despite my minor complaints this was the perfect easy breezy summer read. I happened to be at home in sweltering Arizona but this would also pair perfectly with a breach vacation & a delicious pina colada! If you haven’t given RS Grey a try yet then what are you waiting for? Seriously!

Getting an early copy of a book from one of your favorite authors will never get old. Thank you to NetGalley & Montlake for the ARC of Caribbean Crush in exchange for an honest review. And please can we get my girl some cuter covers?!

With one name drop Casey is off to take her way through being a seasoned travel reporter. This doesn’t go over so well with Phillip , her high school rival. He is unimpressed to say the least. Refusing her a much needed interview. Things change quickly with her giving him sass all the way. As an important businessman he is unused to anything but yes men. Sparks fly! Having arrived on the ship with no clear direction in sight her life changes on a dime . Forming a close friendship with a fellow traveler and spending time with Phillip in the luxury of the ship and its ports. These two were what one another needed to balance each other. Another great read by Ms. Grey. Thank you to NetGalley for this free advanced copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily

James' rating: 5 out of 5 whimsically wondrous stars! ✨

This book was so freaking good! Filled with some of my favorite tropes, this was a nautical quest full of laughter, true friendship, sweet love, amazing characters and well deserved opening to a HEA! 🩵

Casey was full of life even with everything she has been through which immediately made me like her. She was passionate, loyal and had an adventurous spirit. Philip, on the other hand, was reserved and had a commanding presence. He was also passionate and adventurous but in way that was... Philip.

Our characters had explosive chemistry and the spice was absolutely bombing. Their initial banter and tension flowing around them both was fun to read. I liked how their relationship developed, how they drifted towards each other and starting understanding each other and drawing closer.

I loved Casey's friendship with Sienna. That was so beautiful and I loved how they got along with each other with their different personalities and lives. It was quite the adventure filled with laughter and love without those two.

It was quite the comforting read and took me straight into the book for an adventure with the summery waves! I would love to read Sienna's story. I love her. She had me at the British accent... Well, duh. If you're looking for a summer read, look no further!

Thank you R.S. Grey and Montlake for this comforting ARC!

I really enjoyed this !
I liked the pace of the story and loved the ending.
I read lots of similar books but the cruise ship theme was new too me and kept me coming back for more. The characters were also likeable and relatable!

Lots of opportunity for another book with tales from their travels around the world which I would be keen on reading to see not only how their story develops but how the travel business side of it grows

Endless opportunities 🥰

Oh, finally a fun romcom!

Caribbean Crush is the perfect holiday read, even when you're not on a holiday. R.S. Grey's writing style sometimes makes you feel like you're right there, enjoying the life with Casey and Sienna, and what a life that was!

I enjoyed this book, was so easy to read, and I could barely put it down. I liked Phillip a lot, he was great, and the steamy scenes were soooo good, but I do have some notes.

I feel like the author didn't exactly know what to do with Casey. This is a case as old as time: struggling to make a good book boyfriend that the woman is always underdeveloped. I would love to read about characters who aren't drop-dead gorgeous but somehow they don't know it, yet they stay in shape, run, go to the gym, and barely eat. Casey was somehow so beautiful even an influencer was jealous of her looks, and a billionaire fell over heels for her.

Her personality also didn't match her description or words. It felt like Casey wanted to believe she was shy and just another wallflower, but all her behavior pointed her out as a confident, strong woman. Which isn't wrong, it's wonderful, she was able to speak her mind often and was, indeed, powerful. Just the lack of accountability there and self-assessment really was off-putting.

As for Casey's romance with Phillip, I like that it proceeded slowly, despite not having a lot of time to develop them. They truly cared for one another, and (spoiler alert: they didn't rush to get married two weeks after starting dating, THANK YOU FOR THAT!). I've been reading so many closed-door romances lately that this one was such a breath of fresh air.

I'm not a fan of third-act breakups, but the fun in this book was that there wasn't just one... but multiple. You really didn't see them coming.

Sienna was amazing, and I loveeee that we finally have women supporting women and that there was no awkward competition between them or even useless name-calling between Casey and Vivienne. Totally recommend this one.

Childhood nemesis who now needs to interview him. I had a hard time knowing these characters before they shifted the narrative.
It was fun and a quick read.

This was a fun beach read which will have you mentally traveling away on a fancy cruise ship! This is a classic rivals to lovers trope which is always a fav. Definitely a quick light read that would be perfect for your own vacation.

R.S. Grey's Caribbean Crush is a delightful romantic comedy that delivers on humour, romance, and character development. Having read most of R.S. Grey's books, I can say she consistently writes great romcoms, and this one is no exception. The story follows Casey Hughes, a wallflower turned assertive travel journalist, who embarks on a Caribbean cruise seeking an exclusive interview with the private and broody billionaire, Phillip Woodmont. Their history of unresolved tension from middle school sets the stage for a compelling enemies-to-lovers narrative, enhanced by witty banter and heartfelt moments.

What truly stands out is Casey's transformation. Initially down on her luck, she gradually finds her voice and confidence, both in her professional life and personal interactions with Phillip. This growth is mirrored in her friendship with the vibrant Sienna, whose supportive presence adds warmth and depth to the story. The interactions between Casey and Phillip, filled with chemistry and tension, keep the reader engaged, despite the romance feeling a bit rushed at times.

Overall, Caribbean Crush is a fun, fast-paced read that offers a perfect blend of sweetness and spice, making it an ideal beach read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book. Casey is a travel writer who is going about a maiden cruise ship in hopes to land an big interview with the shipping CEO Phillip. Turns out they were middle school classmates who competed in quiz bowl, which Casey cut Phillips buzzer. She thinks its all in the past, well Phillip hasn't forgotten. This was silly going on about buzzers but is also has a fun summer beach vibe. Loved the characters.

R. S. Grey is a favorite author of me! She writes the best love stories. This book was a great one. I’d love to recommend it to a book lover.

I've read several books by RS Grey but it had been awhile. I was really looking forward to this book as just last summer I took a cruise and wanted to see how the cruise ship was referenced in the book. One thing almost EVERYONE on board would correct people about is that it was a SHIP -- not a boat. I was surprised to see how many references to it being a "boat" there were. But that's minor.

I loved Casey's new friend Sienna and their quirky friendship. I also liked the tension and eventual relationship with Phillip.

But I'm going to be that person -- I got so tired of hearing how beautiful Casey was. She was stylish and well dressed and gorgeous. And if you weren't sure -- just wait a paragraph and someone would flirt with her or she'd make some sort of reference to her clothing or makeup.

It got a bit tiresome.

Overall, I did really enjoy this book. I liked the story and how it all came together - even though it was predictable.

This book is not your ordinary romance novel. With secrets to be uncovered and a past that will either draw or repel a reader, this novel is one written with talent which you can read on every page. You can watch as the author's thoughts and feelings slip in between the lines as this page turner takes you on a wild ride.
As two old rivals suddenly find themselves on the cruise ship. One is an owner of a cruise ship, the one that they are on at the moment, and the other is a writer for a holiday magazine who has to try and have an interview with the above after perhaps telling a sneaky white lie to get herself in that position. With reputation and money on the line, the two end up together multiple times and find that their broken hearts aren't so broken after all.
My opinion on this book is that it is your average love story, that has some funny twists and character dialogue. It's quite basic and you know what's going to happen before it does. I do like it though, that this book is from both characters points of view, which is always good to see and is quite interesting when you get both opinions and sides of the story.
Overall, this story is quite average but highly recommended to new romance readers!
