A perfect summer read especially if you aren't able to get away to the sun anytime soon. Set on the beautiful Greek island Corfu, we follow Cara and her aunt on a trip to the island for the wedding of a son of her aunt's old friend. Only nothing is quite as it seems on this trip and the reason they are there starts to become clear to Cara. A funny entertaining read. Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read an early copy.
Yet another fabulous book by Mandy Baggot. Without giving away any spoilers.
In this book you get to meet Cara and Akis and find out all the family history of their two families. You also learn some Greek traditions surrounding a wedding.
The book was a joy, and lovely to be set not only in beautiful Corfu but also Santorini.
Well done Mandy on another amazong book, which leaves you wanting more.
Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I love the setting of this book, travelling to Corfu, and then to Santorini.
We meet Cara, she’s not the person she used to be, after a bad experience, in which she lost her profession, the person she loved, and her confidence.
Now, she and her aunt Margo are off to attend a wedding in Corfu, a wedding she had no idea about till Margo told her about only yesterday.
An old friend who Margo went to school with has invited them to her son’s wedding.
But when Cara reaches Corfu, she feels that Margo hasn’t been honest with her about why they’re actually here.
She meets Akis, he too has stuff going on in his life, his Mother wants him to become a priest before his next birthday.
But can he help Cara get her life back to how it was?
I recommend this book.
We meet Cara who has been swept off to the Greek island of Corfu with her very opinionated Aunt Margot. Whilst there she meets a local man Akis and the fun begins….
Great little summer romance with some interesting characters and a splash of comedy thrown in. As well as Corfu, the author treats us to some lovely descriptions of Santorini too! Mandy’s books are always enjoyable.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and of course the author for the advance reading copy in exchange for an honest review.
"One Greek Summer Wedding" by Mandy Baggot is a delightful summer romance that transports readers to the enchanting Greek Islands. With its short chapters, it's the perfect companion for a holiday read. The story is not only hilariously entertaining but also touches on themes of self-discovery and authenticity, reminding us to embrace our true selves despite external expectations and pressures. Baggot skillfully weaves together humour, romance, and introspection, making this book a captivating and enjoyable escape into the sunny world of Greece.
I loved the idea of this book, but I just could not get into it.
There were too many weird and random things happening that felt a bit nonsensical to the plot. I could not stick with it, even though I wanted too.
Instantly transport yourself to the beautiful Greek Island of Corfu with Mandy Baggot’s latest novel, One Greek Summer Wedding. It follows Cara and her aunt Margot as they head to Corfu due a big fat Greek wedding. Cara sees it as a time to heal before her aunt drops a bombshell or two. This is a fun novel with some very touching moments. The plot unfolds well and contains some fabulous characters. I found it hard to put down. Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and the author for the chance to review.
It’s always a good novel by Mandy Baggot. I adore the location, the descriptions of food, location, people etc and I liked the characters of Cara and Akis. Overall an enjoyable, summery read
Mandy Baggot is a brilliant writer, she transports you to the places where her books are set and you imagine yourself being there.
Cara was a singer with an amazing talent but now works for her Aunt Margot, who is a successful suitcase magnet and does not take no for an answer, are on their way to Greece for a wedding. Cara knows nothing about the wedding or any of the wedding party. Aunt Margot is up to something!
Read this book to find out about how this story unfolds, the relationships and friendships that are made along the way.

What a beautiful book, transporting you to the island of Corfu, and even a quick trip to Santorini.
Cara and her aunt Margo are off to a wedding in Corfu, not that Cara knew anything about it until the day before. It is the wedding of Margo's old school friend's son, but not everything is as it seems as Cara finds out when she gets there.
Cara is still reeling from a traumatic experience in her life, which saw her lose her career, her fiance and even her sanity. Can the gentle Akis help her find herself again, even though he has enough going on in his own life, dealing with his overpowering mother who demands he enter the priesthood before his birthday to break a family curse.
I really enjoyed the pace of this book, and the characters were well written. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to escape on their summer holidays. This is definitely a great holiday read ❤️ Thank you Mandy for another great book x
Another rollicking canter through Corfu, and this time, Santorini!
In Mandy Baggot's latest Greek love story, Cara comes to Corfu with her aunt, for what she thinks is simply her aunt's friend's son's wedding. But all is not quite what it seems, and Cara is forced to confront her past as a failed Eurovision singer. Fortunately, attractive Akis is on hand to help her get over her demons, but will his own destiny to become a priest get in the way?
Mandy Baggot's books always come with a side order of sunshine and quirky Greek characters; from formidable mothers, gorgeous YiaYias and loveable pets, in this case a donkey curiously named as Pig. But most of all they make you want to book your summer holiday pronto!
Easy to read (this was a two-sitting job) and full of laughs, you won't be disappointed. For a lightweight beach read full of will-they-won't-they romance with an inevitable happy ever after, you can't go wrong with this author. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
A fabulous offering of Corfu sunshine, Greek island charm and exciting characters that I loved spending a few hours with. Mandy Baggot always nails a Greek romance book and will always be a must-read for me.
This is an entertaining summer romance set on the island of Corfu, Greece. I enjoyed reading this book, it was funny and enjoyable even though some of the characters and parts of the story are a bit over the top bordering on unbelievable - but sometimes very funny. The love story between Cara and Akis is very sweet.
For me an entertaining summer read that made me want to book a holiday in Greece.
