A very interesting read filled with historical anecdotes and pictures.
I loved learning about several athletes, such as Jesse Owens and "Hurricane" Florence Griffith Joyner, and experiences in the Olympic Games spanning more than a century.
The stories are classified in several sections (Legends, Great teams, Duels, Controversies and tragedy, Innovators, Against the odds, and Heroes), and ordered chronologically within each section. I enjoyed jumping back and forth through the book reading different stories and looking at the pictures.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in sports and/or stories of human achievement. I reckon it can also be a nostalgic experience for people who have watched / participated in the Games on a specific year and want to relive some memories.
Thank you for the ARC!
