What a book. It’s an edge of your seat read. Twisty stalker read.

Five friends who all have stalkers are at one of there funeral when a floral display turns up with a date on it. The date is in ten days time, they figure out one of them will die then. But who and why?

I listened to the audiobook and it was a great listen, each chapter is another friend telling you their story about there stalker. Each character had there own dialogue and it was easy to follow. The narrator makes the read creepy and you are looking over your shoulder while listening.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

The author is one of my favourites and I've read all of her other books and was excited looking forward to this one. I'm a newbie when it comes to audiobooks. I never thought I'd get used to them as I'm easily distracted. However, currently finding zero book reading time in my schedule, I'm now listening in bed each night before sleep. And I'm really enjoying them.

Thank you Netgalley for the arc audiobook.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Firstly, the narrator's voice is very appropriate and different accents and tones distinguished the different characters (even does a good Scottish accent).

I follow this author on social media and knew that she previously suffered the experience of having a stalker so is well versed and this shows in the story. She conveys the multiple victims' thoughts, fears and panic very well.

Five victims, four female and one male. Five stalkers. One victim is murdered by hers and at her funeral, the others received flowers accompanied by a note that gives a date ten days forth, saying one of them will be killed on that day. They form a Whatsapp group where they check in on each, checking each is safe, organising catch ups etc. They come up with a plan to know where each stalker is, hoping this allow each victim to temporarily relax knowing if theirs is far away and warning them when they are near. Chapters tell us how each of them puts this plan into effect and risks involved.

Meanwhile the countdown to the day someone dies continues and each chapter covers each day beforehand and from each of the victim's perspective. Whether living alone or with someone else, always looking over their shoulder, suddenly seeing a feared face in the crowd, constantly looking around crowds, in corners, in doorways, listening for the dreaded familiar voice they have escaped and have subsequently been hiding from. Why and when did the stalkings all start? What are the links between stalkers and victims? Why are some reported to the police and some not?

I was glad to see a male stalking victim included too as we so often think of them as the stalker rather than the one being stalked.
It's also very interesting and clear how stalkers manipulate their victims and others into doubting their sanity, their possible misinterpretations of behaviour, situations and statements.

There are plenty of incidents, behaviours and clues that made me question the victims too. At one point, is this victim really a victim or a perpetrator who has manipulated me into thinking they are.

I have read some mixed reviews about the book but I enjoyed the plot and the atmosphere created. I actually, learnt quite a few things about taking safety precautions as a victim and how police approach the subject too. So I'm giving it a firm 4 out of 5. Why not a 5? Some parts were a bit slower than others but often this is necessary for red herrings and background. So, not perfect but certainly gripping enough for me to look forward to my next listen. I actually finished it in 2 days.

There was so much going on in this book. I thought that the plot had gone too far, until I got to the end of the book and it all made sense.

CL Taylor has done it again, a brilliantly plotted, twisty dark emotional read.

I enjoyed listening to this audio book, where the emotions of the ‘stalked’ were clearly portrayed and the characters differentiated well. Clare is easy to listen to, whilst not distracting from the plot. Rivers voice was the only one I found an uncomfortable fit for the character.

The most poignant moment was listening to the authors notes at the end, where CL Taylor demonstrates quite clearly, her own horrors of being stalked. This in turn, explains her clear understanding of how it feels to be stalked.

This book starts with a tough opening, from there, the pace is relentless and the tension palpable.

The story continues, with alternating narratives moving the plot forwards, slowly revealing the backstory to each of the characters. I found it took a while for me to be able to discern the characters clearly, apart from one.

What was a simple, dark plot, quickly develops into a twisted, frenetic, multi-layered mind blowing story. And just when you think it is moving towards a conclusion, another twist comes at you!

The horrors of being stalked are clearly portrayed through this book, along with the importance of friendship.

Highly recommend this book!

Thank you Netgalley, CL Taylor and Harpercollins Uk audio for the audio arc of Every move you make.
Narrated by Clare Corbett

Every move you make is a great psychological, twisty thriller about a group of people who have one thing in common. They are being stalked! And how can you keep one step in front of your stalker? By becoming one yourself. This story grabbed me straight away and each character had a very definite voice. There are parts of the narrative that made my skin crawl due to the claustrophobic nature of the stalking. Clare Corbett did a brilliant job in building the tension, creepiness and keeping the characters real. The reveal at the end, I didn't really see coming and found the twists and foreshadowing great.

A good 4 star twisty thriller

I think this is my first ever CL Taylor book (how is that even possible?) and I must say I really enjoyed it! I loved the narrator of the audiobook (I recognised her voice from The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesley) and she did an incredible job of voicing a large cast of characters. Each voice was distinctive and instantly recognisable, which is credit to both the author and the narrator. This book was gripping and I looked forward to my long car journeys so that I had time to immerse myself and have a good listen. I had some suspicions along the way but didn't guess the whole of the big reveal. I was totally hooked by Every Move You Make and will now definitely be reading more by this author. A good, tense psychological thriller which was written really well in my opinion. The author's note was really moving and I have huge sympathy for Cally and her horrible stalking experiences. You can tell that this was a huge motivation for her writing this book when she felt ready and I think she did much to honour the victims of this horrible crime.
Thank you to NetGalley and the author for allowing me early access to the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Easiest 5 stars ever. This book is incredible, and yet scarily credible. You think you know who the victims are, but even the victims have their reasons for not being completely honest about their torment.
The story is well paced from the opening chapter, with the tension kept high all the way through. As a reader it is easy to sympathise with the unrelenting anxiety the victims feel at the hands of their stalkers.
The book draws on a lot of contemporary issues around stalking, the role of the police and the helplessness and desperation of the victims. It is a well observed work of fiction with terrifyingly numerous real-world echoes.
The narrator does an excellent job of giving voice to the varied characters. Their tone is engaging and the narrative flows well.
I will definitely be recommending this book and this author to others.
I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to listen to a DRC of this book via Netgalley.

I've read most books by CL Taylor and this one is just as good. Quite easy to guess the who/what/why (mostly), but that doesn't stop the enjoyment of this one - it is easy to fall into the story and get totally invested in the characters.

Another very good offering from C.L. Taylor. I got through some long wet dog walks listening and it was an excellent distraction. If I have to criticise I did struggle to get all the characters sorted in my head but I did in the end.
Don’t miss reading/listening to the authors notes at the end they are very revealing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Every Move You Make by C.L. Taylor, an audiobook narrated by Clare Corbett was intense! When you have a stoker, it's not easy as you feel that your life doesn't believe you! You must watch every step, every move, every call, and every person you meet as it could potentially put them in danger.
I was blessed to have an e-book and an audiobook and this is one of the rare situations when it's easier with an e-book as there is a lot of WhatsApp messaging and it was so confusing in the audiobook! I managed to combine both and it worked out well.
As there are a lot of characters it was confusing for me to get to the essence of who is who and what is going on. This book gets more intense halfway through. Suspense and nerve-wracking moments follow one after another.

Alexandra, Lucy, Bridget, River, and Natalie are stoker victims who find support in a closed WhatsApp group. Things emotionally escalate when one of their group is murdered, days after their stalker is released from prison. If this is not hard enough the group receives a threat that one of them will die in ten days... No one knows who is the target but they know they must come up with the plan! They can't go to the police as there are some dark secrets buried but who will help if not the police? Can they take justice into their own hands?

I believe it could be triggering for stalking victims!

Thank you, NetGalley, HarperCollins UK Audio, and Avon Books UK for this copy! I highly recommend this book!

This story follows 5 people who are victims of stalking and have a WhatsApp support group - FYST - Fuck You Stalker Twats. Natalie's stalker is released from prison and kills Natalie on her doorstep. The FYST members - Alexandra, Lucy, Bridget and River, attend Natalie's funeral where they are handed a wreath with a card telling them that in 10 days time, October 20th, one them will be killed.
The chapters alternate from the telling of each of the remaining 4 FYST members and the run up to October 20th. The WhatsApp chat lets them all check in on each other regularly and show their support for each other as well giving them a safe place to voice their fears and anything their stalkers have done recently.
I particularly like the relationship between River and his girlfriend Megan. I felt it was portrayed really well and the toll it would take on any relationship. Sometimes River gets so hellbent on trying to stop his stalker and helping others he forgets about Megan and the difficult situations he puts her in unwittingly.
The countdown the October 20 really made me want to keep listening and see what unfolds next, and I so wanted the ordeal to end for them all. Some parts of the book where it details abuse and the lengths stalkers go to were eye opening and really made me think of the people who actually live in fear like this. Especially C.L. Taylor's authors note at the end. The statistics blew my mind.
I would highly recommend this face paced thriller to everyone and I look forward to more of this author's work.

Natalie, Alex, River, Bridget and Lucy are part of a stalker support group, allowing them the support of others in the same situation. They use the group to check in with each other but one night a member of the group doesn't reply. She's been murdered by her stalker.

At the funeral the group received a threat that one of them will die in 10 days time. The fear each day consumes them as they try to figure out who's next.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, although I did guess a few of the twists ahead of time. There was a lot going on with trying to follow the lives of four different people, but it built a detailed story.

I rated it 4/5 because some of it was a little predictable.

I really appreciated the author's note at the end regarding her own experience with stalking and the statistics were eye opening to say the least.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A group of people with one thing in common... stalkers!

Starting off with Natalie, River, Alex, Lucy and Bridget who form a whatsapp group to check in on one another to make sure they get to their locations safely.
Unfortunately Natalie is killed by her stalker ex boyfriend, at her front door. At her funeral the group are scared when a wreath with "rest in peace" turns up, for a date in 10 days time. Could it be a mistake and they have the date wrong for Natalie's funeral, or could the wreath mean one of them is next?

A great thriller set in England, plenty of twists, including ones I didn't guess.
3 stars as I felt so much was going on that I was losing track occasionally, but we got there in the end and everything fell into place. Narration was also great!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

It's not often a book gives me the shivering heebie-jeebies, but boy this one did! I was also completely addicted to it, willing the characters to finally be free of their stalkers. Anything that evokes strong feelings like that is always a winner.

From the moment I cracked open this thriller, I was sucked into a whirlwind of suspense and terror. The way it tackled the nightmare of being stalked hit close to home, sending shivers down my spine as I imagined myself in the victims' shoes. The constant fear of death looming over them was like a weight pressing down on my chest, making it hard to breathe.

As the story unfolded, I found myself grappling with the same questions of trust as the characters. Who could they rely on in their darkest hour? The bond between the group of protectors and the victims was a ray of hope in the darkness, but it was also fraught with tension and uncertainty. Every twist and turn kept me guessing, never knowing who was friend or foe.

But it was the ending that truly left me speechless. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the author pulled the rug out from under me with a twist I never saw coming. It was like being hit by a freight train of emotions, leaving me reeling and desperate for more.

This book isn't just a gripping read—it's an experience. A rollercoaster of emotions that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. If you're looking for a thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end, look no further. This one is a must-read.

**Listened to the audiobook along with the electronic copy**

Ahhh super gutted with this book! Usually love a CL Taylor book, and look forward to reading. The premise of the book sounded really intriguing, and the topic of 'stalking' is very prevalent in the news at the moment, or the amount of documentaries recently released. It followed different cases, and this allowed for the idea of 'stalking' to be broadened - but I think it was just there as a 'padding' or to make more people relate. It felt like Taylor wanted to cover multiple bases but by doing this, it felt too vague and broad. I think it would have been more intense to just focus on one subject, or one case.

After listening to the note from the author at the end, I think this book was a bit too close to home for her - and think this was evident in the writing.

The narrator was great in bringing the story to life! I definitely enjoyed listening to the audio version more than reading the electronic book.

This certainly isn't my favourite CL Taylor book - all just a bit vague and nuts - wanted to get to know the characters and motives more - wanted some 'truth' to feel more empathy.
