Wow, another book to make our children learn about the fruit of the spirits and a little more to be like Jesus. Thank you, Zach Williams, for the opportunity to make it happen and published. This is a great gift for every children around the world.

Zach Williams is a Christian singer and songwriter. In addition to this new children’s book, A Little More Like Jesus, he has also written about his own life story in the book Rescue Story.

A Little More like Jesus is a simple story about being like Jesus by living out six of the key fruits of the Spirit. The text is sparse and unimaginative. It is rhyming throughout which is also a hindrance to the story. I think children will enjoy the illustrations and the message is certainly a worthy one: love others, do good to others and grow in faith.

In spite of an uninteresting storyline, if you are looking for something short and simple to introduce some of the fruits of the Spirit to your kids, this might fit the bill, but I’m not sure it will be one they will ask for on repeat.

I did read Rescue Story and enjoyed it. I feel that writing to teens and adults is more up Mr. Williams’ alley.

I received an ARC copy of this title from the publisher and Net Galley in exchange for my honest feedback.

This book instills how to be a little more like Jesus, just as the title states. I always try my best to make sure my children are a little more like Jesus. We, as a family, enjoyed reading this together, multiple times. Kindness, love patience and faith are just a few ways we can show on a daily basis on how to be more like Jesus. Such a cute story with lovable illustrations.

A very sweet read. The poetry throughout had me singing the words which I know children will enjoy. The explanation of the fruit of the spirit along with the illustrations will make it enjoyable and understandable for children. The illustrations are beautiful and I love the inclusivity shown. I will recommend A Little More Like Jesus to my mom friends.

4 Stars

A Little More Like Jesus by Zach Willams was beautifully illustrated and a fun book to read to littles. I am pretty sure its just one of his songs that they made into book form. The song I am thinking of is Less Like me. The lyrics are a little different but it tells a sweet story of one wanting to be- hence the title- a little more like Jesus. Would recommend to people with younger children.

This was cute and sweet reminder for children 4-6 years old to remember to be like Jesus. I liked the values presented in this book. They were clear and straightforward and taught in a positive way. I would recommend this book for any Christian school or personal library.

This book is absolutely adorable. I love the colors and the overall message that it provides! :) I found myself acting as if the book were a song, it was so catchy and I loved the rhyming throughout. Through each scene you are understanding that everyone has an obstacle to overcome and that the only way to get through it is by Jesus himself. I also loved that the bus stopped as different destinations, that was very clever. Overall, 5 stars!

A Little More Like Jesus by Zach Williams is based on his song. It is beautifully illustrated. The bus takes the kids around town to stop at the different qualities. This would be a good introduction to help teach kids about some of the fruit of the Spirit. Also, it could be used for a lesson on the value of giving more than we receive. As well as others too!

Thank you to Netgalley and Zonderkidz for the advanced reader copy.

This is such a sweet book. I would love to see my daughter's school add this to their library. We could all be a little more caring and helpful these days.

This book has a great message and is really cute, it's just not for me. I don't love a picture book that doesn't have a clear linear story, and this one was hard to follow for me as I read it to my son.

Very cute story to teach young children about the fruits of the spirit. My 5 year old daughter liked the story, understood the concepts and really liked the pictures. She told me I could read it to her again and again.

For the grown ups it's a cute book and the bus concept of going around the town to make stops to demonstrate the fruits of the spirit is a good concept for younger children since most are familiar with school buses taking them from school to home or on field trips.

Thank you to Zonderkids Publishing and Netgalley for a chance to review this ARC. It's one I'd like to see in my local library or church library.

This is a gentle read that takes you along for the ride to explore what happens when you live and love by the spirit as the hands and feet of Jesus. The book meanders nicely and is illustrated well with action images to help the little one talk around the story and add to it with their dy to day adventures. An opportunity to learn and explore with a younger child how to be kinder and think of others in everyday situations.

A Little More Like Jesus is a book written by by Christian music artist Zach Williams. This picture book portrays young children boarding a bus on a journey that explores the fruits of the Spirit. In rhyming text, children learn how easy it can be to show more love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and goodness toward everyone they meet. The accompanying illustrations are fun, bright and lively, bringing the message to life.
While this little book touches on Galatians 5: 22-23, It doesn’t include all fruits Paul wrote of in the passage.

I highly recommend this book.

Illustrator Lisa Malloy drew Mr. Williams as the driver of the bus I do believe.

We road tripped to Florida for spring break and I was so happy I had been approved for sixteen new children’s books coming out this year. It helped so much to break up some time with stories! The kids loved them and had so much fun picking out a book from my netgalley app to read. We didn’t read a single book we didn’t like! Tuckers favorite was Elmo’s new book, Kinley loved the fairy godmother book, Dawsyn loved the basketball one, and Briggs adored the animal book. I highly suggest adding all of these to your summer library reading lists for kids. I love children’s books, and these were full of beautiful illustrations, stories, and allowed us to have some great conversations after them.
