Bryn is preparing for her wedding to Nathan. Unfortunately her mother-in-law to be turns up and decides to stay. Nathan, who is a high flying attorney, is working away on a difficult case so Bryn decides not to tell him as after a problematic childhood he hates his mother. As preparations go ahead for the wedding we soon realise that both Bryn and Nathan have secrets that they do not want revealed. Bryn begins to receive threats and warnings against her upcoming marriage. She confides in two friends but soon realises that she cannot trust anyone. This was an addictive story with so many twists and turns and a totally unexpected ending. An enjoyable read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I could not put this book down! I was turning pages as fast as I could, completely lost in the story. There was so much going on, and so many relationships to be wary of. I was right on some of my guesses, but so much I never saw coming. The ending was a huge cluster f*ck and I loved every minute of the wild wedding scene. I really liked how we got a proper ending and closing scenes with the characters. I can’t wait to dive right into the next book of the series.

The Woman at My Wedding is my first L.G. Davis but certainly won't be my last. This was an addictive psychological thriller that follows Brynn, a bride-to-be in her late 30's whose perfect wedding plans begin to unravel when some mysterious threats arrive while her fiancé Nathan is away working. What started with some wedding preparations slowly transforms into a crafted and complex web of secrets. The way the author reveled some details was fantastic and the twists were unpredictable. I was at the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen and how the story would unravel. Amazing!

This is not a good book, the premise was interesting but the development was not
There is nothing in this story that makes you want to read more, the narrative is simple And it's boring, Absolutely nothing happens in the book except for the ending,. I wanted to read a thriller with an interesting plot twist and a story that catches you and you can't put the book down because it is so interesting.
But this book has none of that.
Thank you netgalley for this advance copy

I went into this book expecting a good thriller, but what I got was an exceptional one. The twists were cleverly written and completely caught me off guard. I’ll be recommending this to everyone I know.

My 4th book by L.G Davis and she never disappoints, absolutely brilliant and another extremely well deserved 5 star rating!
Brynn is preparing to marry the love of her life, Nathan, in just a months’ time after a whirlwind romance. The only issue is Nathan’s mother and Brynn’s soon to be mother in law, Debbie, who Nathan hates after an awful childhood he had with her. When Debbie suddenly appears on Brynn’s doorstep, she is powerless to decline her insistence on staying to help with the upcoming wedding as both women have something on each other and therefore both have to keep each other sweet to avoid their respective secrets coming out into the open. With Nathan away working hard as a lawyer on a very important and widely publicised case of an infamous woman who is accused of several murders, Brynn feels she can’t tell him about Debbie staying as it would upset him and perhaps take his mind off a very important case for his career and so Brynn reluctantly allows to Debbie to stay and doesn’t tell Nathan. But then nasty things begin to happen; a wedding cake topper delivered with the brides’ face smashed in, a threatening note, Hannah, Brynn’s maid of honour getting food poisoning after a wedding cake tasting and the wedding venue being cancelled with no chance to rebook. Since meeting Nathan, Brynn has become great friends with Hannah and Elena, who have been good friends with Nathan since childhood. Brynn confides in them about the horrible things that keep happening. But who can Brynn trust, with it becoming very obvious that someone is absolutely determined to stop the wedding at all costs and make sure that Brynn never walks down that aisle.
Well, what a fascinating and addictive story that I just couldn’t put down! I absolutely loved the intriguing titbit chapters from “The Woman” and my head was spinning trying to figure out who she really was. I sort of guessed around the halfway mark but still wasn’t 100% certain and I found myself referring back to incidents and chapters that I had already read to see if I could prove my theory, but I still wasn’t sure, which was great! I really didn’t like passive aggressive Debbie, and I was extremely curious about who Sam was, but couldn’t work out who they were until I was actually told. The end twists were nothing short of magnificent and I was sitting up reading with my mouth agape at 1am in the morning!
Nothing less than a very deserving 5 stars for this read. I absolutely loved every minute of reading it and I can’t wait to read the sequel and see what happens next. I highly recommend this one for any psychological thriller fans, you will not be disappointed.
Thank you to NetGalley, L.G Davis and Bookouture for my advanced reading copy. Out now.

Brynn has recently moved to Stoneview, and despite having a rather stressful career, she is beyond thrilled that she is about to marry Nathan, a successful lawyer. Her marriage to Nathan will open a lot of doors for her, including the fact that she will have more money than she ever dreamed of.
Brynn is happy with those whom she chose to stand with her at her wedding, including Hannah, who will be her maid of honor. Brynn is also over the moon that she has befriended Eleanor, an old friend of Nathan’s, and someone she feels extremely comfortable with.
There is more than one hitch in Brynn’s wedding plans. These include the arrival of Debbie, and although she and Brynn share bad blood, Debbie acts as if everything is okay, sets her bags down and progressively makes Brynn more nervous. Debbie’s arrival is only the tip of the iceberg. Brynn receives a threatening note along with a smashed wedding cake topper. Brynn realizes that she is headed towards doom, but there is no way to stop it.
Although Brynn is the primary protagonist, there is an unnamed character, referred to as “The Woman”, and it is her dialogue that takes the reader along for the rocky ride that Brynn is on, but is powerless to stop. With a few twists thrown in, this first book in the Broken Vows series by L. G. Davis was a thoroughly engaging read, and led me right to the second thrilling book, The Missing Bridesmaid.
Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

This pov story was so full of twists and turns. Such a pageturner full of misdirection . The bride to be was spot on the complwexity of characyer played out over the story. The reveal felt perfect so far away from my own thoughts.

A bride's perfect wedding plans are shattered when her estranged mother-in-law arrives, threatening to expose a secret that could destroy everything. But when sinister threats escalate – including a broken bride figurine and warnings about her life being in danger – she realizes someone else close to her is determined to stop the wedding. As her dream day approaches, she'll discover just how far she's willing to go to protect her happiness and keep her past buried.
This engrossing psychological thriller follows Brynn, a bride-to-be in her late 30s whose perfect wedding plans begin to unravel when mysterious threats arrive while her fiancé Nathan is away working. What starts as an apparently straightforward tale of wedding preparations transforms into a masterfully crafted web of secrets and suspense.
The countdown to the big day serves as a clever narrative device, ratcheting up the tension with each chapter. What sets this thriller apart is how the seemingly ordinary characters reveal hidden depths as their facades crack under pressure. The author expertly weaves in shocking revelations that challenge everything we think we know about these people.
The identity of the mysterious woman intent on derailing Brynn's happiness kept me guessing until the very end. Despite being tempted to peek at the final pages, I'm glad I held out – the twist was worth the wait. For readers craving an unpredictable ending, this book delivers spectacularly. And for those left wanting more, there's a tantalizing preview of the sequel included.

In a months time, she will be marrying Nathan, it’s going to make her the happiest woman alive. But then whilst Nathan is off working on a case, things start happening, threatening messages and “gifts” are arriving - why is someone wanting to jeopardise their happiness?
This book had me thinking I had the ending figured out, then 3/4 of the way through - bam! Plot twist! A very quick book to read that keeps your attention

Mysteries and secrets abound in this psychological thriller. All Brynn wants is to get married in 30 days but life is never that simple. There’s a mysterious woman wanting to ruin things for her.
This was a fast paced book and kept you on tenterhooks. I couldn’t figure out who “the woman” and I was tempted to cheat and check the ending. However, I stayed strong and waited for the reveal and what a twist it was.
L G Davis is a new-to-me author but I’d definitely be interested in the second book in this series.

First, I want to thank LG Davis, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.
Oh Snap!! Another psychological thriller thanking my lucky stars I’m and nowhere near ready to get married!!! LG Davis’s latest The Woman At My Wedding is incredibly twisted and will have your head spinning at the end of it. Oh and if you like this one just wait she has a follow up sequel to it as well. It is fast paced and an addictive read.
After the prologue each chapter will have you counting down the days to the big wedding. There are a lot of ups and downs and twists and turns trying to get to the alter. Not to mention some dark hidden secrets that are shockers when they come to light.
If you are looking for a book that has an unpredictable ending then this is it! Plus, if you liked this book she came out with a sequel to it as well. She gives us a little sneak peak of that in this book as well.

A psychological thriller, full of twists and turns that keeps the reader engrossed in the tale. The main characters seem at first to be mundane and average but as the plot progresses they become more complex and interesting,

Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.

Unfortunately, L.G. Davis failed to impress me. The whole narrative didn't work for me, it didn't keep me intrigued in the way I was hoping. Honestly, the characters' dialogues could have been better executed and the development of the narrative ended up delivering its conclusion before its time. I think this book will work best for readers who are just starting their journey into the world of thrillers.

While it seemed a bit slow sometimes and I did guess who the woman was, there were twists upon twists at the end that really shocked me ! It was an enjoyable read,
Thanks to Netgalley and bookouture for access to this Arc in exchange for my honest review.

Put LG Davis on your list of authors to read!
It’s got some surprising twists that I didn’t expect and loved!
Davis nailed it with this addictive #psychologicalthriller! It’s my favorite of hers thus far! When I found out, there’s a sequel, I got excited and read it right after!
That review is next!
Laurence Bouvard is a great narrator!
Thank you, LG Davis, Bookouture, bookoutureaudio, & netgalley for my ecopy & audiobook! All opinions are my own.

3 🌟
Hmm…I loved the first 65% of The Woman at My Wedding. The final 35% left much to be desired. The dual POV and premise of the book held so much potential I was reading this with high anticipation.
But when every plot twist in the book is revealed during a conversation in which the main character pretends to still be passed out, it definitely docks my review a couple stars…..
The characters were generally enjoyable. The way that Brynn and Nathan spoke to each other took me out of the story a few times. “My future husband”/“my future wife.” Utterably UGH!
90% of the story felt like the author was holding back most of the important details, just to spill them all out in two or three conversations. Like, I said, I absolutely loved the premise of the book. It just unfortunately fell short of my expectations.

This is the first book in the broken vows series. I loved the setting , I love Florida having been there myself. This book is all about revenge. It was just a bit too slow for me. Having said that I would still read anything this author writes.

He's the man I love...she wants him back...
It's been awhile since I've read an LG Davis thriller and once again she does not disappoint. Fast becoming one of my favourite authors, Liz throws red herrings and misdirection our way to steer us off the path. And yet while there are plenty of smoke and mirrors, I honed in on who I thought was "the woman" from the very start. Considering I've been in a reading slump for a couple of months, this was like a breath of fresh air and a welcome change to the monotony of others I've found of late.
Fans of Daniel Hurst, Shalini Boland, KL Slater and Freida McFadden will delight in this domestic tale of bliss to woe with plenty of twists, lies, secrets and deception to keep readers entertained.
Brynn is approaching forty and has finally met the man of her dreams, thirty nine year old attorney Nathan. The pair met, fell in love and Nathan bought Brynn a stunning beachside house where she now lives in the weeks leading up to their wedding. Meanwhile, Nathan is away working on a trial that could make him an even bigger household name. That of Amanda Lane, a woman accused of murdering all three of her wealthy husbands.
While he works right up to the wedding, Brynn remains at home organising their wedding...but someone doesn't want their nuptials to go ahead. Brynn begins receiving strange messages in the form of a wedding cake topper in which the bride's face is smashed. Her wedding veil goes missing and is later found buried on the beach. Then her dream wedding venue is cancelled. The photographer backs out. Her custom made shoes from Italy are ruined with red paint. Who would do such a thing? Who hates her that much to ruin her wedding?
And then a face from Brynn's past arrives on the doorstep, dragging her fully packed suitcase behind her insisting she's there to help with the wedding preparations. But why is she really here?
When the wedding day finally arrives, you won't see what's coming and the author deftly derives a devious plot that's so cunning and deceptive that will leave your head spinning.
As is Liz Davis' style, the pace moves from steady to fast to frantic as the climax nears, with that final twist to spin everything of its axis. I was turning the pages at the speed of light to see what happened next. As with most of her books, I thoroughly enjoyed this one and can't wait to dive into the second book "The Missing Bridesmaid" which can only be read after this one as the plot to this one ends of something of a cliffhanger that can only be resolved in the next.
Off to read it now...
