a quick easy read that didn’t have much risk involved. A book that would definitely help you get out of a slump!
Okay first of all that robot was the best part of this story, I can’t believe that I wanted more of the robot and less of the two mc’s.
Reese and Thomas were kinda annoying throughout this whole book I just wanted to bang their heads together and tell them to get over themselves and act like grown ups.
Reese has a PhD and was acting like she had 3 braincells. Thomas was the son of a billionaire and a daddy’s boy who had zero personality and was kinda creepy idk if i was reese i think i would have gotten the ick.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood books for sending me this arc
I am still to find a Camilla book that I have not enjoyed.
This book is brilliant as always. Filled with some funny and well rounded characters, a story line which keep you hooked and some brilliant humour mixed in for good measure

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC of this book in exchange for honest feedback.
When starting this book I didn’t know it was the third in a series but having read this one I’m very interested in going back to the first two. This is my second Camilla Isley book overall and I admittedly didn’t love the last one I read but in this case I could hardly put it down!
I love a book with fun banter and this delivered, often making me laugh out loud. Thomas is so lovely, with how respectful he is to Reese, how close he is with his family, his flirtatious charms and how down to earth he is. Reese is a female lead that really stands out to me as well. So often in a romance, I barely think twice about the female lead as I’m so busy falling in love with the male lead, but I was invested in Reese. She’s smart and driven and able to overcome the traumas of her past to still give love a chance.
Speaking of falling in love, I did with K-2P. Can I please have one of him? So adorable and sassy.
Can’t wait to go back and read the first two books!
Another triumph from Camilla Isley. I loved this book - the third and final book in the True Love series. I think this is my favourite but I have enjoyed reading them all.
If you love a workplace romance, forbidden relationships, forced proximity and STEM themes you will love this one! Throw in a cheeky droid,a billionaire and Star Wars references, and you're onto a winner. It is a very slow burn this one but makes it all the sweeter!
As I've said before, Camilla has fast become a favourite of mine and I have enjoyed all four books that I have read so far. And this one is the icing on the 'True Love' cake!
"The Love Algorithm" is a delightful romantic novel that combines the world of high-tech robotics with the sparks of unexpected love. Reese, a dedicated professional at Mercer Robotics, finds herself in an amusing predicament when she's tasked with looking after the CEO's son, Thomas, a charming billionaire playboy.
What initially seems like a mundane task turns into a journey of self-discovery and unexpected romance. The author skillfully weaves together Reese's dedication to her career and her budding feelings for Thomas, creating a dynamic and engaging narrative.
One of the highlights of the book is the chemistry between Reese and Thomas. Their interactions are filled with humor, tension, and genuine emotion, making their relationship feel authentic and captivating.
I particularly enjoyed Thomas's character arc, as he evolves from a carefree playboy to someone genuinely interested in Reese and her world. The "one bed" trope adds a delightful layer of tension and intimacy to their story, making their romance even more irresistible.
Overall, "The Love Algorithm" is a charming and entertaining read with well-developed characters, witty dialogue, and a heartwarming love story. Fans of romantic comedies and workplace romances will thoroughly enjoy this book.
Note: The book received 4 stars from me, primarily due to the excellent chemistry between the main characters and the engaging plot filled with romantic tension and humor.
Such a sweet romance! The chemistry between these characters was very well done, This is the 3rd book in this series and it was hands down the best one!
I must admit, I had my doubts when I started reading this book, especially since I wasn't a big fan of the first one. However, it completely changed my perspective on Camilla Isley's writing. The characters were so enjoyable, and I couldn't bring myself to put the book down. As a woman in STEM, I usually cringe at STEM romances, but this one didn't make me cringe excessively, which is a huge win! K-2P is now my new favorite character, and I really want a sassy droid like that.
The story centers around Reese Campbell, a brilliant 28-year-old, holds the position of R&D head at Mercer Robotics. One day, her boss summons her and informs her that she will be responsible for looking after her boss's son, Thomas Mercer, as he goes through different departments in the company.
This book was an absolute delight - a sweet, nerdy, and adorable romance. I loved the way it was set up, and who can resist the classic "one bed" trope? A big plus for me was that the romance was fade to black, as I feel like most romances nowadays focus too much on smut and lack a solid plot. But "The Love Algorithm" had a fantastic setup and chemistry between the characters that didn't rely solely on steamy scenes. I instantly fell in love with Thomas and his playful teasing, although I couldn't quite connect with Reese as much. I can't quite put my finger on why, but she didn't resonate with me as strongly as Thomas did. Another complaint that I had was I would have preferred if Thomas and Reese discovered things about each other through their own conversations, rather than the droid simply providing information about Reese to Thomas.
Either it was a fun quick read! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for sending the arc!
I felt like this book had some great potential, I requested it thinking that I would get some Ali Hazelwood vibes but unfortunately, this fell flat for me.
I found the characters fairly unlikeable. Despite the FMC asking the MMC to stop flirting because he’s set to be her boss, he ignores her and then proceeds to follow her to a conference in Rome which is just inappropriate.
In my opinion, there were far too many Star Wars references and jokes, cringe dialogue and at times it felt as though the author was trying too hard to make them work and failing miserably.
Overall, I didn’t love this book and didn’t like how much Thomas just did whatever he wanted, with absolutely 0 consequences.
This was my first time reading a Camilla Isley book and the blurb immediately drew me in. Some of my favourite book tropes include enemies to lovers and women in STEM-- both were advertised to be featured in the book. However, despite being marketed as enemies to lovers, it wasn't. They were 'enemies' three seconds before instantly falling in love. It didn't feel realistic that they were head over heels for one another so quickly. I also had an issue and felt uncomfortable with how Maria objectified Thomas, and how Thomas pursued Reese as he ignored her boundaries.
Overall, it seemed like the book lacked depth and the characters were not well fleshed out. I like that the book was written with a dual POV and that we were given insight into both of their thoughts. However, I also wish that more of the book involved dialogue or story events rather than just their thoughts. It became a bit repetitive towards the end of the book.
For me, the only redeeming aspect was K-2P, the sarcastic sassy droid. It was the only character with well-written lines and carried the book. I always felt myself looking for more K-2P moments throughout. With the Star Wars references made throughout, I believe K-2P was an homage to that as well, which I really liked.
Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Reese is a genius in robotics; Thomas the gorgeous son of the company's owner. Their immediate attraction will make you swoon, while you also fall in love with Reese's best friend, a robot called K-P2. Great fun!
I've already read and enjoyed several of Camilla Isley's books, and The Love Algorithm did not disappoint. This book follows the points of view of both main characters, and I found them to be very likeable. I love seeing successful women in engineering, and Reese was a great representative. Thomas was very down-to-Earth despite his billionaire background. I loved the interactions between Reese and Thomas. A special gem in this book was K-2P, a droid that Reese designed and had so much personality and sass, giving some literal laugh-out-loud moments. This was an overall enjoyable story that was a quick read and hard to put down!
Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the advance review copy of The Love Algorithm! The opinions expressed in my review are completely my own.
Cute fun read. Probably my favorite character was the robot! He was hilarious!
I did skip a steamy scene, but skipping it didn’t seem to take away from the overall story.
Thanks NetGalley for the early review copy!
I can't write a whole review on this one because I just want to be done with it. Here are my notes:
Reese is giving manic pixie dream girl
Dances strip teases in her office??
"I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding"
Soooooooo quirky and cute and clumsy
"Not hot"
Thomas is a bland typical romance MMC
He's and alpha??? What is this, the omegaverse?
Every single woman he encounters lusts over him he's so hot 🥵🙄
Stupid nicknames
She's trying way too hard to make the robot likeable
Sexual harassment galore
"Winks are not work-appropriate interactions" neither are strip teases Reese
All they think about when looking at each other is how much they want to bang. Zero tension and zero romantic development. Just at first sight vs. love at first sight. Not done well - too much too fast.
This was a fun read with aspects of billionaire, boss, forced-proximity, and--unfortunately (for me)--insta-love.
I'm not a fan of insta-love, but its saving grace was that this book was still a bit of a slow burn at the same time because of the no-fraternizing rule at work. I loved their communication through notes and felt giddy like Reese did each time it was time to read a new note!
The STEM aspect of this and a genius female character reminded me of an Ali Hazelwood book which I really enjoyed. Also, where can I get myself a K-2P??
Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC!
I did not like this at all. It started out okay- I liked the idea of K-2P a lot, and the initial premise did seem promisingly fun. But, unfortunately, this quickly spiraled into a instalust, unprofessional workplace romance that just was not my thing at all. If you enjoy workplace romances with a power imbalance, you may like it, but Thomas's advances just icked me out.
This was such an enjoyable easy read. I have to admit I didn’t realise it was part of a series but felt it was easily read as a stand alone.
I really enjoyed the post it notes and K-2P.
I guarantee you’ll find yourself smiling while reading this book.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I found this author through this app and I’ll be reading anything by her! This was a quick and cute read. Loved the characters and the story line. Fit the rom com formula. Would recommend!
Funny, sweet, full of emotions, Reese and Thomas’s love story is going to stole your heart. She is a brilliant scientist working at Mercer Robotics and is married to her job. Her best friend is her intelligent robot. He is the boss’s son and is charming and very handsome. Can they work together at fight their attraction or will they risk their futures to be together?
IMMEDIATELY I was drawn in and connected to the character of Reese. She was the perfect quirky character without becoming a caricature of a “not like other girls” character. If you’re looking for a simp, look no further from Thomas who hides nothing from the moment he’s introduced to the story! The love happened a bit quickly but it was a very enjoyable read!
