Reese loves her job as the head of her department at Mercer Robotics--that is, until the CEO calls her into his office and tells her his son will be shadowing her as part of his rise to eventually becoming the boss. Reese doesn't want to babysit the spoiled billionaire who knows nothing about robotics, but she begrudgingly agrees. And when Thomas shows up, he is infuriatingly handsome and charming--the last thing she needs. But as she and Thomas get closer (and he charms K-2P, the robot she has created) she has a harder time resisting him.
Reese and Thomas are delightful together, and I loved all their little nerdy moments. I did wish we got to see more of them together--in fact, overall I just wanted more: more of their budding relationship, more of K-2P, more with the Garrett situation. Overall I liked The Love Algorithm and want to read the other books in the series.

The Love Algorithm is a sweet, feel good, funny story. I really enjoyed Reese and Thomas. They are both instantly attracted to each other and their meet-cute is perfect for these two. As they get to know each other it’s hard for them to deny not only their attraction but their feelings.

Reese has been disappointed by men all her life so she’s hesitant to trust Thomas and won’t risk her career that she’s worked so hard for by falling for the CEO’s son. Thomas doesn’t fit his soon-to-be title but also doesn’t fit Reese’s first thoughts about him.

I really enjoyed the way Thomas and Reese communicated. 💙 Who doesn’t love a sassy droid! There’s a small amount of drama but what is so refreshing is the family relationship and support.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC opportunity in exchange for my honest review.

"The Love Algorithm" by Camilla Isley is a delightful and charming romance that combines humor, heart, and a hint of workplace drama. Reese's journey from career-focused scientist to unexpectedly falling for the CEO's son is both entertaining and heartwarming.

Isley's witty writing and engaging characters draw readers into Reese and Thomas's world, where sparks fly from their very first encounter. Reese's reluctance to let romance interfere with her career aspirations adds depth to the story, while Thomas's undeniable charm keeps readers rooting for their budding relationship.

What sets "The Love Algorithm" apart is its exploration of the complexities of balancing work and love. As Reese navigates her feelings for Thomas while grappling with the implications for her career, readers are treated to a story that is as relatable as it is entertaining.

Overall, "The Love Algorithm" is a fun and engaging read that will leave readers smiling. Isley's clever plot twists and sizzling chemistry between the protagonists make this a must-read for fans of contemporary romance.

This was one of those books that gets you hooked and continues to delight.

Firstly I love that we have Reylo and a lot of funny and cool pop culture references scattered through out.

Our FMC is fun, smart and sassy when she needs to be. She is focussed on succeeding in her career and following her ethics. Even if there are some small stumbles along the way

Our MMC is hot, smoldering and kind. He falls first and is the adorable one doing all her can to be worthy of the incredible FMC.

Fun, funny and filled with sassy side characters I highly recommend this fun rom com

Reese and Thomas could not be more different. Reese has her PhD in robotics and has no interest in the business side of her company. While Thomas is the nepo baby, and company heir. When the director of Reese’s department announces his retirement Thomas’s Dad wants him to step in. Reese is appalled by this choice and is hesitant about his lack of technical knowledge. Thomas is sent in to shadow Reese’s department since the other department heads will all be jonesing for the director position. Neither Thomas nor Reese want to be in this situation but neither of them have much choice. During the process things just might get a little steamy between the pair.

The prose is really good. Instantly sucked me in with an intriguing story. The AI robot is really unrealistic though. Sorry there’s just no way it could be that sophisticated. But I did enjoy the robots personality so…

If you’re a fan of ali hazelwood or Star Wars, you’d definitely enjoy this novel!
The leads are really fun with good banter. The story is a good length for romance! It does a good job building to their relationship. I loved k2p- such a cute little robot!

In my opinion this is my favorite book in the True Love Series by Camilla Isley. I've been lucky enough to read each of these books and i love the series. This was such a cute and easy read. I loved how the FMC Reese was such a strong character. I love that she is portrayed as a smart and independent woman in STEM. There was great chemistry between Thomas and Reese. Such a wonderful build up to their relationship. Absolutely loved this!

This book is so enjoyable! I loved the instant attraction between the characters. The book offers many laughable moments between the characters & especially K-P2, the very sassy & smart robot. It is clear that Isley has a very good grasp on robotics & she manages to present everything in a way the reader can truly understand it along with building the attraction between the characters that is light & enjoyable. Also, I always enjoy how Isley incorporates characters from her other books. Even though each book can be read as a stand alone I like how she ties the books together with appearances & interactions with characters from other stories.

I always recommend Isley’s books - they put a smile on my face & make everything feel less stressful. I recommend this one as well!

There is a lot of talk and details about the science in this book which was interesting to read about. I think the couple is cute together, but their relationship really wasn’t that developed. They knew each other for a few weeks and decided that they were in love with each other which was a bit out of left field. I do think that over time of they would be a wonderful couple and I am rooting for them, it just felt rushed in the book.

This was lots of fun. Perfect for fans of Ali Hazlewood. Reese is a great heroine to root for. But I'll be honest, the best love story is between her and the robot.

This book was super cute and I'm so glad I read it. The author, Camilla Isley, did a great job making a billionaire seem like just another guy.

Thomas seems so approachable and, dare I say, normal. Reese is a bit of a mess in her personal life, but a genius (or close to it) in her work life.

The way they come together is predictable but not. There's more to each of them than we can imagine, and their eventual relationship is so gratifying!!

I would recommend this book.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

To be honest the beginning was so slow paced I debated DNF-inf the book but after a few chapters I got hooked. It may not be steamy but it is such a feel good book for me as I read these more casual types of books after intense ones and this did just the job I wanted it to. I'm in love with the banter , the STEM representation and the Star Wars references and puns had me laughing out loud. All in all I loved it , even though it was the first book I read from this author and I wholeheartedly recommend it .

Camilla Isley's new book was a delightful read. As with all Isley books, it flows smoothly and offers a lighthearted and fun reading experience.

I always like reading about women in STEM and loved reading about Reese. She's a career-focused woman passionate about her job who wants nothing and no one to ruin it. But along comes Tom, the billionaire heir to the company she works for. Tom is the epitome of a golden retriever man. He's pure smiles, positivity, and sunshine. I love reading about their dynamic, growing attraction, Star Wars references, and little notes they left for each other.

However, I didn't like the instant attraction between them. This was supposed to be an enemies to lovers and it was nothing like it. They were already into each other as soon as they met, and that's not something I usually enjoy.

Nonetheless, it was a fun, quick and lighthearted read that I know many people will enjoy.

Thank you so much to the publisher and Camilla Isley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I loved this sweet and nerdy book.
Reece was such a strong female lead with great intelligence, which I thought was a really good powerful message she knew her worth and what she wanted and what she would/wouldn't give up for it.
Thomas was unexpected, but I could not get over how he came across, so the shock is definitely a good thing!
The chemistry in the book was whirlwind, and I was here for it

Add in a droid, and I'm sold

Fantastic book highly recommend

Thomas and Reese. The boss’s son aka future CEO and a genius engineer. This is a sweet, clean, slow-burn instalove story (apparently it is possible 😉).

Reese is a nerd and hesitates to get involved with Thomas since she loves her job so much. He was insistent but not too pushy and veery charming. I liked their chemistry, it was ok, but I would have liked to see more of the things that made them fall for each other rather than it being something so fast. The pacing was ok for a slow-burn but the ending was just slightly rushed for my taste. I missed some angst to be honest, but it was a sweet book.

The star of the book is the droid, undeniably.

-Dual 1st person POV
-Spice: 0.5/5 🌶️ (just kissing on page, rest behind closed doors)

Overall: 3.5/5 ⭐️ for me.

Has Camilla Isley done it again? You bet she has! THE LOVE ALGORITHM is funny, heartfelt and full of love

I liked Reese - she was hard working, unapologetically herself and open to love. Her relationship with K2P was just adorable! I love a nerd in love. I would have liked Thomas to be more fleshed out but let's face it, Reese is the real star in this story

The ending made me laugh - the toy company was so out of the blue and completely hilarious. I can see how the author made the connection but felt Thomas would have been better suited elsewhere. Or that his father would have made a different decision and showed some empathy or compassion

Overall, another great story from Camilla Isley - she's quickly turning into a must-read author

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC! Opinions are my own

Thank you NetGalley & the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC copy of this book.

2 stars because I love to see a nerd in love no matter what, but otherwise, this book lacks banter OMG. The insta-love is so irritating, since from the first second they see together they’re both head over heels, and the issue that comes up near the end is soooooo dramatic, unnecessary, and cringe.

This fun, feel-good, lighthearted STEM romance has great characters (including a very sassy, amusing droid) and is an entertaining and enjoyable read. Despite having some very familiar tropes (office romance, forced proximity, hotel with one room and one bed, to name just a few) the story did feel fresh and interesting. The insta-love connection does make the romance feel a little rapid, but at least the story has good pace and doesn’t drag. The sex scenes are not covered in any great depth, so it’s all very PG, without any smut. Despite this book being part of a series and having some familiar characters, it can be read as a standalone story, when it is out on 26th April 2024. Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for providing me with an early copy of the book, which I have thoroughly enjoyed reading.
