A fun STEM read with spicy romance. Though some of the STEM/computer science jargon I didn't understand it was an OK read. The characters needed more 'oomph' to keep my interest...took me quite awhile to finish this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

The Love Algorithm is a hilarious workplace romantic comedy. This quick, light read will definitely brighten up your day.

The story is set in the Research and Development at Mercer Robotics and there is some scientific talk sprinkled through the work-related conversations but it isn't too much.
Reese and Thomas's funny meet-cute sets the stage for ongoing teasing and flirting. Thomas can't help himself from flirting and he makes it a mission to get Reese to admit that their attraction is mutual. Reese doesn't want to give in as she wants to remain professional and not start something with a man who is eventually going to be her boss. Thomas has a multitude of cute and fun ways of interacting with her and I found myself smiling all the way through this book.
A lot of my laugh-out-loud moments came from the little robot K-2P who almost seems too human at times in his responses to those around him. He hilariously facilitated the couple's meet-cute and has no filter when talking about Reese to Thomas. He is my favourite side character for all the added humour he brings.
I didn't quite like Maria who was over the top in her observations about Thomas. I found her annoying and just wanted to tell her to go away and grow up.
I loved the slow-burn aspect of the romance. Even though the two had an instant attraction they didn't act on it allowing the tension to build up along with Thomas's flirty and funny attempts to woo her.

In “The Love Algorithm” by Camilla Isley, readers are treated to a delightful workplace romantic comedy that blends humor, charm, and undeniable chemistry.

At the helm of the story is Reese, a brilliant woman who has dedicated herself to her career at Mercer Robotics, rising to the prestigious position of head of Research and Development. However, when she’s unexpectedly tasked with looking after the CEO’s son, Thomas, Reese finds herself facing a challenge she never anticipated.

Thomas, a billionaire playboy with little experience in mechanical engineering, presents a formidable distraction for Reese, who must navigate her attraction to him while maintaining her professionalism and dedication to her work. As Reese and Thomas spend more time together, their connection deepens, leading to a delightful exploration of love, ambition, and the pursuit of happiness.

Isley’s witty prose and engaging storytelling make “The Love Algorithm” a joy to read, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and swoon-worthy romance. The dynamic between Reese and Thomas is electric, and readers will find themselves rooting for their relationship to succeed despite the obstacles in their path.

Cute story and I am all for the women main character being more educated and accomplished than the male main character. I don't know if I felt any connection between them except that they thought the other was cute, definitely not enough emotional buildup considering the workplace situation they found themselves in. Him inviting himself on a work trip just to make her date him felt a little icky to me as well.

THE BOOK WITH THOMAS! Ever since I read the first book in this series I have been waiting for his book and it did not disappoint!

Forbidden workplace love, relationship with the boss. The banter, the hotness, the hot mess of Reece - I loved it all. And the robot best friend - what a funny and fun touch. I also appreciated that Reece’s work and accomplishments were important and that it would be crazy for her to be the one to have to give it all up for love. I love a strong woman character.

I received a ARC ebook of The Love Algorithm. Thomas starts a new job to become the new CEO, however on his first day he runs into Reese in her office and falls instantly. . . . There is a no fraternization policy so he tampers down his feelings and tries to win her over and figure out how to navigate the policy. This was a cute book and a sweet ending.
3.5 stars

This is gonna be my re read for my summer beach days. It was quick heartwarming and lovely. Thomas was so hot and Reese??? Badass girl. That’s what we need more and I absolutely loved it. No unnecessary drama or plot lines that didn’t make sense. Refreshing!

Forced proximity
Workplace romance
Smart & sassy FMC
Rich MMC
STEM
Insta-like
One bed
Awkward meet cute

Thrown together by owner of Mercer Robotics (who also just so happens to be Thomas’ dad), Reese must tolerate Thomas enough to show him the ropes of her department. Only caveat, he’s seen her dancing in her underwear and literally cannot stop thinking about it. Reese can’t stand the thought of some rich spoiled man coming & invading her workspace to please the boss. What could go wrong right?

This book has an insane amount of kick-your-feet banter, a hilarious robot who tells it like it is, & a *chef’s kiss* FMC is smarter than the MMC dynamic that is just SO good. I loved the premise of the book & the way they both had instant attraction. Although this is a hard trope for me to ‘fall in love with’ , I truly enjoyed reading & would recommend to anyone who loves banter as much as me.

Thank you @netgalley & @boldwoodbooks for the early arc copy of this book ✨ 📕

Cute, fast paced romance for lovers of STEM. Will peak reader’s interest who love an Ali Hazelwood STEM BOOK. Enjoyed it and was a pleasure to read. Thank you Net Galley and publisher for E ARC COPY. LOVED IT!!

Such a gorgeous stem romance with great characters and a great setting. To be honest I wasn't sure I was smart enough to follow some of the sciencey bits but I really enjoyed every bit of it and the relationship between Reese and Thomas. I'll be honest and say I prefer a tall a dark and handsome mmc but I'll make an exception for Thomas, lol sorry had to say it!

I am the biggest fan of every Camilla book I’ve read and this one was definitely fun but unfortunately for me there was just too but robot talk and it sort of went over my head and took away from the story and romance for me. I’ve read a lot of other STEM style books that don’t dwell on too much of the technical talk and I thought that would be the case for this book too but it felt just too in depth into the robotics world for me sadly. If you love short, fun and sweet romances though I would definitely give it a go as Camilla is such a wonderful writer and I really am such a massive fan of her work.

Cute-ish romance. Good for folks who appreciate Ali Hazelwood's novels, but want a little more computer science in their romance. For me, the computer science jargon went way over my head and distracted from the overall story. The characters fell flat and the dialogue felt very unnatural. This book put me into a reading slump and I took so long to finish it.

I did think the storyline was kind of cute, and I appreciated the AI robot friend. I don't think I was smart enough for this book, but if you like a side of romance with your CompSci, give this a go!

Oh boy, the chemistry between Reese and Thomas sizzles straight away. Reese is a very likeable, intelligent woman and Thomas is a billionaire with a big heart and lots of charm that falls HARD for Reese. Seriously, that man is down bad.

If you're a fan of awkward first meetings, insta love romance, star wars jokes to diffuse sexual tension and an AI robot that loves to gossip then this book is for you.

Thank you to Boldwood Books for the ARC.

I thought I loved Gabriel and Blake the most. Then I fell in love with Marissa and John. But oh my goodness did I swoon over Thomas and Reese. Nerd love at its best, complete with Star Wars jokes (and Halloween costumes!!). I loved how smart, strong and brilliant Reese was, and I utterly adored Thomas as the billionaire hottie who's actually a normal guy. They had chemistry from the start, which only built throughout the book (and throughout the post it notes that they exchanged!). Such a cute, quick read with extra fun appearances from characters from the first two books in the trilogy!

Cute and cozy fast-paced romance. Definitely enjoyed reading this and bith characters are very likeable. I also really like the cute lil robot involved. I do feel they feel unrealistically fast in love but it was still cute regardless. Nice, fast, and easy read.

Thank you to netgalley and the author for sending me the book in exchange for an honest review

Such a cute and quick read. It's a lovely rom-com that everyone could enjoy. With the background of stem within the book, it's amazing.

Thank you to NetGalley and can't wait to read it again.

I really enjoyed this robotic, and tech style MC from Camilla! My favourite books of hers tend to be the more unique ones and this is definitely the same!

The main characters were loveable, and I think the real hero of the story was K-2P!

This was funny, swoon worthy and lighthearted

this is a cute, steamy romance. I enjoyed the banter and humor throughout the story. I appreciate the stem- centered characters and plot— the robots were such a fun and cute aspect to this story! I didn’t love some of the immaturity and unprofessionalism throughout the story, just felt a little unnecessary, and therefore the sole purpose of being “steamy.” Overall, it’s a cute, fun, quick read romcom. thank you for the arc :)
