Very sweet romance set in stem/tech, no spice but a little smoldering 😉. I haven't read this author before and really enjoyed this!

If you’re looking for a delightful, nerdy, and clever romcom full of laughs and adorable characters, look no further. Camilla Isley has managed to write yet another romantic story that drew me in and kept me turning the pages. The blue Post-It notes and K-2P were the perfect addition to this heartwarming story. One of the best aspects of Camilla Isley's books is her strong female main characters. I love their independence, career focus, and no-nonsense attitudes—they always make me laugh. Her female characters give off a vibe that says, "Love would be great, but I'm also perfectly content with my career for now."

"The Love Algorithm" stays true to this characteristic in Camilla Isley's work. Reese Campbell, a 28-year-old with a PhD, heads Research and Development at Mercer Robotics. She adores her work, colleagues, and her robot companion named K2P. Everything is going smoothly until she's called to the CEO’s office and informed that she'll be training his son, Thomas, during his rotation in her lab as part of his departmental training.

Reese is shocked that a businessman with no engineering experience will one day lead their department. But when Thomas walks into her lab, she's captivated. Thomas Mercer is charming, despite lacking robotics knowledge. He compensates with a strong desire to learn and a genuine interest in Reese, both professionally and personally.

How can they make their relationship work when Thomas will soon be Reese’s boss? She fears any connection beyond professional could undermine her hard-earned career reputation.

This book felt like a breath of fresh air—it didn't feel like reading at all. Each chapter played out like scenes before my eyes, with no unnecessary drama straying from the book's premise. No third-act breakup, which was a big plus!

The characters were also endearing. I empathized with Reese's internal struggle to balance feelings for Thomas with her career aspirations. Being a woman in a male-dominated field isn't easy, and she's determined to earn respect and recognition.

Thomas' charm is undeniable. I liked him since he appeared in "Not in a Billion Years" as the main character's brother. He's genuine and the perfect prince ready to sweep the love of his life away. What I admire most is how he respects Reese's decision not to date, despite knowing her feelings. That's a huge green flag!

When I first started this book. I wasn't sure it was for me, the jargon about robots etc went right over my head.
As soon as I got 12% in I was hooked. I found myself smiling and laughing and even having heart palpitations reading it. Really lovely and I now want my own Mercer please!

Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the E-ARC. At this point I have either read or will read anything Camilla Isley writes. I loved the appearance that Thomas made in Not in a Billion Years and Im very glad that he was given his own book because he is just Adorbs. I love Reese as well but lets be real the star of the book was K-2P. I don't know where Camilla is going to get more characters but I need this series to keep going lol I absolutely love it

An engaging and quirky romcom set in a robotics company. Reese and Thomas are working together but their attraction is haunted by the fact that Thomas will be her new boss soon, meaning a relationship is going to be impossible.

The main attracting factor between the protagonists was sexual and as such it came on very quickly. For example, Reese started feeling jealous of Thomas’ hypothetical girlfriends very quickly and I would have liked to see them get to know each other a bit more before they started having such strong feelings to make these seem more justified. I felt like the story could have benefitted from some more emotional conversations where they really connected. In terms of the plot I would have also liked more tension and build up before they admitted their feelings for each other and got together. Having said this, I did like the storyline of Thomas reconsidering his career and priorities, it’s a trope I am a big fan of.

One interesting feature of ‘The Love Algorithm’ is K-2P, Reese’s robot who acts as a combination of the traditional romcom character roles of pet, child, and best friend. K-2P served many roles in the book: humour, advice-giving/meddling, the protagonists bonded over caring for him. Initially I was very sceptical of an AI robot as the ethics just make me very uneasy, but the character grew on me a lot.

My absolute favourite part of this book is a scene where Reese has a conversation with Thomas whilst he is asleep during which she finds out his feelings for her because he agrees to tell her the truth. Honestly this is so perfectly ridiculous and is an amazing plot choice - I will be thinking about it forever.

Having enjoyed the other books in the true love trilogy I was excited to read Thomas’s story. Little did I know it wouldn’t be his banter and charm I fell for but instead that belonged to one snarky little robot sidekick of female mc Reese.

This is another Stem centred romance but fortunately you don’t have to be a robotics genius as it’s written so even this little dummy knew what was going on when it got technical.

From a hilariously funny meet cute to personality assumptions and a little robot spying this is another fun read with incredibly likeable characters. As with all her other books I have read, the women are smart, feisty and great at what they do and Reese is all that and more. Poor Thomas certainly had his work cut out winning this one round, especially with a certain no dating the boss rule.

So if you are looking for a romcom that isn’t the normal damsel in distress rescued by a hero then I recommend giving The Love Algorithm and one exceptionally cute little robot a try.

I was so excited to read this, having read Not in a Billion years and Baby, One More Time and I was really looking forward to this, I loved Thomas and couldn’t wait for his story (with Reese obviously) I wasn’t disappointed in anyway. These can be read as stand-alone stories, you don’t need to read the others first, although I recommend them because I love these books and Camilla’s writing.

The chemistry and tension between Reese and Thomas is soooo good, I couldn’t put this book down at all as I was always wanting to read more. I love a slow burn so much and this had me ecstatic, it also had only one bed trope which I adore this book ticked so many of boxes I was basically grinning to myself as I read it.

I’m a big geek so I adored K-2P and all the Star Wars bits, they were just fantastic for me, I think this is definitely my favourite of the series (although I love them all) it just was my perfect read for all my favourite things.

If you’re looking for a delightful, heartwarming romcom, full of chemistry, humour and workplace romance, The Love Algorithm is the perfect read.

I was so excited when I found out Camilla Isley was releasing Thomas' book, and this did not disappoint!

From start to finish, I loved every single page and this is definitely my favourite of all 3 in the series. I really want my own K-2P with his wit, humour and just general cuteness, that would just be amazing

I especially liked the cheesy Star Wars jokes, although I'm not a Star Wars fan (sorry) they had me laughing out loud

Camilla Isleys writing just draws you in from the very first sentence, every book of hers I've read I've not want to put down - highly recommend

I really enjoyed the last book in this series, Baby, One More Time, and this one even had some of those characters for us, which I loved! Reese was a fun STEM character, in charge of a robotic department of the company that Thomas’s father was the CEO of. Her department sounded like a bunch of fun nerdy people, I’d love to hang out with them! And her AI robot, K-2P, was hilarious! Such a fun part of the story.

Thomas was definitely the sunshine to Reese’s grumpy, although it wasn’t really that she was grumpy. She was just a woman trying to make sure she’d proven herself in a mostly male dominated field. Thomas was more than just sunshine though. He was really a genuinely nice guy, all around charming and easy to be around as well as work with.

They fought their attraction, both having such good reasons for it, and I love that Thomas seemed to fall first in this story. While Reese definitely felt the attraction pretty quickly, she kept him at arm’s length for good reasons based on her past as well as her career. We got a bit of a hint at what would kind of become their big dramatic third act issue with the very first paragraph of the story. But when it happens, it still surprised me because I’d kind of forgotten about it as the story went on and no further mention was made. And I love the way all of the relationship was wrapped up for our HEA at the end. I like that we may have been unsure about Thomas’s family, but the way it worked out was realistic and I loved it.

Another great story from this author, but now I need to go back because I missed the first one in this series, and I need to know Thomas’s brother Gabriel’s story with his girlfriend Blake.

Another great romance book by Camilla Isley! It was so easy to read and I read it in a day as I couldn’t put it down.

I loved that Reese was a strong, educated female working in what would usually be considered to be a male dominated industry. Whilst Thomas was rich and technically her boss he completely appreciated her brilliance and wasn’t put off that she was a genius.

I highly recommend a read if you like an enemies to lovers romance novel.

Camilla Isley is an author who's been on my radar for a while, but I've never managed to read one of her books until now. And I can safely say this won't be the last I read of her books!

Reese has fought hard to get where she is, the head of research and development at Mercer robotics, but that all seems to have gone out the window when she meets Thomas Mercer, son of Nolan Mercer, the owner of Mercer Robotics. He's learning the ropes, so one day he will be the CEO and Reese isn't happy about the intrusion. Worse than that, she can't stop thinking about him and he might feel the same. There's a strict no fraternisation policy in place, and it would do untold damage to her reputation. But they just can't seem to resist each other.

The Love Algorithm is an entertaining read, sprinkled with a few nerdy references, most of which I actually got! I didn't realise this was part of a trilogy, but it was perfectly fine as a standalone, something I can attest to as I've not read the others.

It has a lot of tropes in it. Enemies to lovers, opposites attract, a workplace romance, a billionaire boss and even the 'oh no, there's one bed' trope, but the writing is seamless and blends them nicely together.

Thomas and Reese played off each really well and had plenty of chemistry. I loved the little love notes they sent to each other, which could have come across as cheesy but didn't and gave me those warm and fuzzy feelings.

There were times, though, when I thought Thomas was a little too perfect. He's the son of a billionaire and he's also respectful and down to earth. I don't know if someone like that even exists in real life.

I absolutely loved K-2P, Reese's best friend and sassy robot who added plenty of humour along the way.

All in all, a definite must if you like a fun, trope filled rom com.

The story was cute. I enjoyed Reese’s droid who had as much personality as any human best friend has in other romance novels.

There’s a bit too much of Reese and Thomas yearning for each other with scene after scene of their sexual attraction almost, but not quite, overpowering them. I would have preferred a little more plot and basic interaction between them, but this was still a fun, frothy romance.

This book was adorable! It was so clever and funny, but still romantic and sweet! I loved Reese and Thomas so much and their interactions were cute! The addition of K-2P was the best! A major scene stealer!

I’m loving Camilla Isley’s books and so glad I discovered her - this series specifically is so good, with powerful business women and women in STEM… with typically male names causing confusion by the men usually in these top roles.

Reese is in a top development role in a robotics company, and the CEO decides that his son, who knows nothing about robotics and has no interest in it, is going to take over when the president of the department retires. She’s going to have to deal with a spoiled, entitled rich kid - and even worse, deal with training him about her department for 3 months. Nightmare!

When Thomas shows up, things are tense, but his business mind helps get things running smoothly and figuring out issues the department has been working on - and the enemies may actually become, dare she think it - friends? And he’s befriended the learning AI robot she created, who has taken it upon itself to try to play matchmaker for the pair!

A very sweet and fun story, and I totally loved the way they passed notes (that he hid in her bag every day, on post-it notes), and the AI robot Reese created, K-2P, similar to the SW droids she loved, who had no verbal filter and just loved his people! A sweet and swoony (closed door) romance but probably her spiciest - so much happens, it’s just all faded to black. Very, very good! Definitely recommend this, and the earlier books in the series (those characters appear here but you can definitely read this as a standalone). Isley is such a great author!

I’ve read a couple other books by Camila Isley and really enjoyed them so I was excited for this ARC.

I love a good STEM book and this one has all the nerdy things! It did start a little slow to me which was a surprise.

The good: I loved K2-P! I was cracking up at the interactions. The relationship with Reese and Thomas was adorable and believable.

The not so good: I thought the 3rd act breakup was unnecessary. I like a little more spice in my books.

The Love Algorithm is the third book in the True Love series but the first one that I have read. I really enjoyed this book so I can’t wait to go back and read the previous two books. Resse is the head of research and development at Mercer Robotics and she is put in charge of babysitting the CEOs son Thomas who is currently working as the Head of communications. Their first meeting was hilarious and as the story progresses the notes that are passed back and forth and really cute. I also thought that the droid was a nice element in the story. Around the end when it felt like that things weren’t going to work out had me pausing because I really enjoyed their relationship but the end was done wonderful.

Reese is only 28 but she already has her PhD and is the head of Research and Development at Mercer Robotics. Her love life might be non-existent, but her career is right where she always dreamed it would be. Thomas Mercer is happy to coast in life as the heir apparent to his billionaire dad's company, but his dad decides that he'd be better off heading the robotics division of the company and forces him to start familiarizing himself with the Research and Development division. Reese is wary of having to babysit the billionaire playboy, but there's a lot more to Thomas than she thought, and sparks fly from the moment they meet. But will Reese have to risk the career of her dreams to start a relationship with the boss or will love conquer all?

It's a very fun read full of science talk that's interesting without making you feel dumb, and a big part of that is how great Reese is as a character. She's smart and she knows it, but she's willing to explain and accept that not everyone understands her world. Add in the incredibly charming Thomas and Reese's Ai robot and there is not a single scene of this book that isn't incredibly enjoyable.
