Love a quick, easy read with some nice romance thrown in.
Science nerd and billionaire. Kind of love at first sight for both. Love the dual POV.
Really enjoyed how the book was paced. Things made sense and didn't move slow. I was surprised at fast I finished.
Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the e-ARC. This review is my own opinion.
Amazing!
Super Nerdy FMC and Super Charismatic MMC a recipe for swoony(ness)
This was a great read I loved the pacing and loved the chemistry between Reese & Thomas
The droid bit was a little wacky for my tastes but it really drove home how massively nerdy (and cute) Reese was!
definitely recommend
Super cute book! Billionaire and the science nerd. 🩷. I’ve read Camilla Isley before so I knew it was going to be light on the spice level. I really wanted there to be more of the office scene though. IYKYK!!

The Love Algorithm is the third book in Camilla Isley’s True Love series. This is Thomas’s story, who was introduced as younger brother of Gabriel Mercer in the first book of the series, Not in a Billion Years. While there are several other reintroduced characters, this is a standalone story.
Reese Campbell, PhD, is a brilliant, young robotic engineer and the head of Mercer Robotics R and D. Young to be in such a position, and well respected by her team, Reese has a rich work life, but no social or romantic life, and as far as family, it is only her work family.
When President of Mercer Industries, Nolan Mercer, calls Reese in for a meeting, she has no idea what to expect. However, she never expected to be tasked with babysitting his son, Thomas, as he shadows Reese to learn about the division of the corporation that Nolan has decided Thomas will head when the current CEO retires in a little more than a year. Thomas, with his business background, feels in over his head going to this department, but knows his father isn’t one to take no for an answer.
With a first meeting to cause a robot to blush, an attraction that cannot be denied, and a conflict with the company’s anti-fraternization policy that seems unsolvable, this wonderful tale that addresses finding one’s place in the world uses humor and heart in doing so. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!
This was a brilliant and funny story about a young woman who falls for her soon to be boss. The situations they seem to get themselves into is hilarious and will make you laugh loads!!
Reese, the head of a mechanical engineering department, is told by the boss that his son will be joining their team and she must show him all that they do. She’s horrified! Meanwhile, Thomas, the owner’s son, has worked within the company for years and as his father says, has a knowledge of how business works. He wants to promote him to replace a retiring CEO. But first he must work within the department to learn all about how it all works. Once the two meet though, the sexual attraction is obvious to both of them!
Many thanks to Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this arc copy for review consideration via Netgalley.

I lovedddd this book! The nerdiness mixed with the slow burn was so well done! Seriously blown away!
I adored The Love Algorithm, it was a nice, light-hearted, and fun story.
Thomas Mercer is the future CEO of his family's firm, but to prove to his father his skills he has to know better every branch of the company. So he starts at the robotic department working alongside Dr. Reese Campbell.
I loved Reese and Thomas, they come from different worlds, she is this smart and cute robotic genius, while he is a loyal and outgoing man. They didn't know much of each other lives and jobs, but soon enough they realize they share a good companionship and a deep attraction.
I was rooting for them the whole time, because their journey is amusing and they have a sparkly relationship since their first encounter.
Camilla Isley wrote a delicious and relatable slow burn that put me in a very good mood, I highly recommend it.
The Love Algorithm is Camilla Isley’s latest book in her True Love series. It is a hilarious fish-out-of-water, grumpy/sunshine workplace romantic comedy. Thomas Mercer was first introduced in Not in a Billion Years as Gabriel Mercer’s younger brother, and he talked about Reese in Baby, One More Time. The stories will be understood and enjoyed more when read in order.
Dr. Reese Campbell is a 29-year-old prodigy who is the Head of Research & Development at Mercer Robotics, a subsidiary of Mercer Industries. She is a workaholic introverted genius whose best friend is a droid that she built and programmed. Reese prefers to wear sweats to work and stay in the technical sphere instead of rising to a higher corporate position. She reports to Emmet Proctor, Head of Mercer Robotics, who plans to retire in 15 months.
Enter tall, blond, and charming Thomas Mercer, younger son of CEO Nolan Mercer. He is happy in his role of Head of Corporate Communications for Mercer Industries. Until his father tells him that Emmet is retiring, and he wants Thomas to be ready to replace him in 15 months. Thomas is immediately assigned a three-month rotation with Dr. Campbell since she is the only manager not gunning for Emmet’s job.
Thomas and Reese are immediately attracted to each other, but they both understand that they cannot have a relationship because he will be her supervisor in 15 months. Reese loves her job at Mercer Robotics and doesn’t want to have to find a position elsewhere. Thomas knows little about engineering or robotics, but he is willing to learn in order to meet his father’s expectations. It will be a difficult conversation if he decides that he doesn’t want the CEO position. While Reese and Thomas flirt with each other and exchange daily notes, they refuse to take their relationship any further in order to maintain a professional work environment. Then Thomas accompanies Reese on a business trip to Italy and they decide to try to find a solution so that they can pursue a romantic relationship.
I have read all of this author’s stories and The Love Algorithm is her best work yet! It is a wonderful story that is full of sparkling banter between the main characters, a successful STEMinist heroine, colorful co-workers, a droid with attitude, Star Wars references, and cameos from earlier books. The Love Algorithm would make an entertaining and enjoyable movie; the author’s descriptions are so clear that it’s easy for the reader to visualize the scenes.

⭐️billionaire boss's son H
⭐️ rom-com
⭐STEMinist Romance
⭐AI rep
⭐workplace romance
⭐ only 1 bed
🤔 My Thoughts: Using AI to drive this story with K-2P is new and I liked it. The Star Wars in me welcomed the droid as Reese and Thomas' confidante. Reese was a little cold at first, very cautious of Thomas' billionaire playboy persona. She is career driven and focused, but needs some balance in her personal life. When work and real life collide Reese and Thomas have to navigate business and and loving each other. I loved the cameos from the couples from the previous books Gabriel (Thomas' brother) + Blake and Marissa(Blake's BFF) +John.
Rating: 5/5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC 💜! I voluntarily give an honest review and all opinions expressed are my own.
Thank you for the ARC. This book was cute. I really enjoyed the droid character. The book wasn’t too cheesy, which was good, but I would have preferred some spice rather than fade to black scenes.
The Love Algorithm is book three of the True Love series. I love that Thomas is familiar from the previous books. I enjoy how Camilla Isley took him from the fun loving, easy going brother to the sexy, main character of this book.
With all honesty, it took me no time at all to become engrossed into this book. As predictable as the story is, the journey was so much fun! A definite recommended read for a fun, sexy, slow burn, romantic comedy.
Thank you to NetGalley, the Publisher and the brilliant Camilla Isley for this entertaining read!
The Love Algorithm was cute. Fun, quirkly love story about a woman who works at a robotics company. The CEO is going to step down and pass the business on to his son. She then shows him the ropes of the company.
First thing thats frustrating is she seems like shes half expecting to get promoted and that shes very knowledgeable of the company. But of course, the male with no knowledge gets the position.
Second thing - every chapter is basically, He/She is so cute and I want to kiss them. Why cant I make the first move? On repeat.
Overall cute concept but I think a couple things could have been executed differently to keep my interest peaked.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This book is about Reese who works at Mercer Robotics, she is really intelligent but one day she gets called in by her boss who tells her that she's being in "charge" of his son Thomas.
It was a little bit of a slow start for me but as I kept ready I found myself unable to stop reading because it has funny and witty moments. I also think K-2P was the star of the book, so funny and smart.
I totally recommend this book if you are looking for a rom-com, work romance, STEM.
Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC!!
ARC Review ~ The Love Algorithm ~

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If it’s STEM I’m probably going to pick it up and I’m glad I picked this one up. The characters were fun, the plot adorable and it was such a quick read that kept me entertained from start to finish. The pop culture references kept me chuckling throughout and our friendly android was a nice inclusion.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC!

Blurb
At 28, with a Ph.D under her belt and a meteoric rise to head of Research and Development at Mercer Robotics, Reese feels her decision to put her career first has worked out pretty well for her. Sure, she doesn’t have many personal relationships to speak of, but she does love her team and they like her too.
So when she’s called to the Big Boss’s office and told she will be looking after his son while he does a rotation in her lab, she’s not thrilled that her hard work and achievements have boiled down to being a glorified babysitter – especially to a billionaire playboy with zero experience of mechanical engineering.
But then tall, blond Thomas walks into her office, and Reese realizes this assignment is going to be even harder than she thought. Because the CEO’s son is not only extraordinarily gorgeous, chiseled, and charming… he’s also on course to become her new boss one day, and so extraordinarily out of bounds. As the pair get to know each other, can Reese hold her nerve and her beliefs, or will she fall victim to the billionaire charm?
My Opinion
Camilla Isley is back with another great book in this series. With some characters from the previous books in the series it would be beneficial to read this series in order but there is enough information for this to be read as a standalone. While the main character is a woman in STEM, this has been done in such a brilliant way that it is refreshing. This is a light-hearted and easy book to read. I was only able to read this book in short sittings but each time I was eager to return.
Rating 4/5
Camilla is one of my close door confort authors and she did again! This is the third book of a series, but you can read as a standalone. I'm in love the mention to STEM, R&D & corporate world, I'm in love with Thomas & Reese, specially her. And special mention to K-2P, incredible!
Camilla Isley has done it again! Another sweet, romantic, and wonderful installment in her True Love series. I adored both main characters, their story, their challenges, and their banter. This book had a nice number of humorous moments, some angst, some drama, some longing, and some attraction in it. While it is the third book in the series, this book can easily be read as a stand-alone. Having said that, the first two books in the series (Not in a Billion Years & Baby, One More Time) were wonderful and I recommend reading them as well.
Reese has worked hard to get where she is career wise. She has a PhD and is the head of her division at Mercer Robotics. She is not too excited when she learns that the son of the owner of the company will be doing a rotation in her department.
Thomas, is the handsome and charming, son of the company and is informed he will be doing new things. He is going to be doing a rotation in the Research and Development department to learn all that he can.
This was a charming book that had me smiling and chuckling a few times while reading. Romance is all about the journey for me and I loved the journey both Reese and Thomas went on. Plus, there are robots and sticky notes involved which warmed my heart.
If you are looking for a fun, light, heartwarming read, this book is for you! I found this book to be well written, endearing, witty, and charming. I hope there are more books in this series (fingers crossed) as I enjoy Camilla Isley's writing and characters.
This was so cute!
The billionaire not thinking he's ever gonna be good enough for our girl? Priceless!
The writing is what truly pulled me into this book and didn't let me go. The plot was a little cookie cutter and predictable, but the characters were so charming and the writing so fine that I didn't care.
This relationship was so healthy and funny and downright adorable. They truly brought out the best in each other.
Would I have preferred this to not be a closed door romance? Yes, absolutely, I need my smut. But it's fine. Thomas and Reese are cute AF and I'll just imagine the steamy scenes playing out in vivid detail.
This book was so cozy and lovely. It's getting 4 stars from me.
At 28, Reese is content with her job as head of Research and Development at Mercer Robotics. Whilst she doesn’t have many personal relationships and her main conversations are with a robot, she loves her work. So, when she finds that she must look after the son of the company’s owner, she is not happy. Until he walks into her office, as she is changing, only to find that he is not only extraordinarily gorgeous and charming but that he could become her new boss one day. Very quickly Reese finds herself captivated by Thomas, as does he.
A fun, sweet romance between two likeable characters. Both have been hurt in the past, so it was so sweet to see them gradually let their guard down. Their attraction was instantaneous, and I did feel that for people who were so hesitant in their inner thoughts, how they acted on it, didn’t seem to take very long. I must admit that the droid, K-2P and his attitude, nearly stole every scene he was in. A lovely romance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
