Ray's Legacy is a book full of bubbles. The bubbles are champagne. Nearly every character has a glass or two at family get togethers and the main players seem to open a bottle at the first excuse for a celebration.
Ray's Legacy is a book full of celebrations. It starts with the birth of a baby and ends with the birth of twins. Events preceded and superseded by happy marriages.
In the village of Little Trenchard love is as plentiful as champagne. The village Tavern is as focal to the community as the Rovers Return is to the inhabitants of Coronation Street.
The author renders domestic detail fascinating and highlights the importance of ordinary events in our everyday lives.
