I adored this book and the reading experience.

The narrators were so amazing at fully immersing me in the story, the voice acting was top notch. It really delivered an especially cinematic experience that I think it so helpful to really transport you to the amazing world Esmie has written.

The story itself is packed full of lore, magic and prophesy in that amazing fantasy way but is also truly a sci-fi cross over in how these elements meld so fluidly into a majestic space opera setting.

The stakes are always high and you are always on the edge of your seat, gasping for breath as fate hurtles towards out protaganists.

Speaking of the protagonists - both Obi and Asha are beloved to my heart and my heart aches for their loss and soars for their victories.

All this to say I await book 2 with baited breath
