Elizabeth and Helen have done it again with a masterpiece of book 4!
If Woven by Gold and Fkrged by Malice had a baby this would be it.

The story takes place 3 months after where book 3 left off. And I was hooked from chapter 1.

Just like the last three book my emotions were in the hands of Elizabeth and Helen. And I felt everything.

I can't wait to see where the sisters takes us as the adventure continues in the Enchanted Vale.

This series has me in a chokehold! While there are a few things that are a little frustrating with it sometimes (Farron's switch from naive to being too dominant, Ezryn being such a stubborn ass :D), I just devoured this book! Day's character development, and Ezryn's as well, were phenomenal!

Every chapter from Caspian's POV has had me near tears or bawling outright.

And as much as I love to hate Nightingale, I really hope that she will get her redemption arc!

And now the waiting for the next book begins anew. It's going to be too long either way!

If you have not read the Beasts of Briar series, I’m here to tell you that you’re sleeping on one of the best romantasy series that is currently ongoing!

I have been honoured to be part of the ARC team for their other books and was absolutely ecstatic to receive an early copy from Magpie for the 4th too. Broken by Daylight may be the best in the series yet. What a rollercoaster of emotions…

This is the book that we all wanted. It gave us what we’ve been waiting three previous books for. We’ve been given answers AND MATES, but we’ve also been left with more questions, an interesting plot of complex relationships, and a cliffhanger that will rival any fantasy book for years to come. This book takes a step back (only so slightly) from the romance, and we get quests, adventures and a look at nearly all 5 corners of the Enchanted Vale in an epic race against time to save the Summer Realm.

BUT that’s not to say there isn’t romance, because there definitely is! and it delivered.

My heart was so full to meet Elizabeth and Helen at an evening talk and book signing at Waterstones Leeds and they are the LOVLIEST PEOPLE! I eagerly await book 5!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫4.5 Stars

You guys I almost threw my kindle at the frickin wall because of this ending!! My dog was afraid for her life at the cuss words I was spewing 😂🫠 But really whyyyyyyy Elizabeth Helen whyyyyyyyy!!??

This is the fourth book in the Beasts of the Briar series and it did not disappoint and shes a thiccckkkk book! We find ourselves for the most part in the Summer realm where the below is trying to take over in multiple ways. I feel like anything I say will be a spoiler soooo I’ll just say that Dayton’s story was so beautiful and his struggles were hard fought, I love him! We also got so much more from my main man Caspian’s POV and (barf) Wrenley. I also just want to point out my theory was totally right for those of you I told and I’m so proud of that!!

If you haven’t started this series it’s so spicy and so good! You need it in your life just get ready for some SERIOUS cliffhangers!

What a rollcoaster of a ride emotionally, I loved this book so much, you jump into the world and the story completely. I would highly recommend this.

I thought this was so much fun! Probably one of my favourite books so far in the series with a lot of action and so many answers (finally). Everything felt really thought out and like it had purpose which I really appreciated as the last book felt quite filler heavy for me.

Elizabeth Helen always kill me with the endings, they know how to end a book!

Broken by Daylight by Elizabeth Helen is an emotional ride that pulls you back into the world of Beasts of the Briar. After the cliffhanger in Forged by Malice, this book felt like a reunion with characters I’ve grown to love. The worldbuilding is richer here, especially with the Summer realm, and the attention to detail really brought the setting to life.

The characters, especially Rosie and her princes, had great development. Dayton, Ezryn, and Caspian really stood out, and watching their arcs unfold was so satisfying. Even the secondary characters had their moments, adding depth to the story.

There’s a cliffhanger, as always, but it left me excited for the next book. If you love fantasy with complex characters and detailed worldbuilding, Broken by Daylight is worth picking up!

This series has such a chokehold on me it’s not even funny. Every book I read in like oh this is my favourite and coupling and this one was no exception, Rosie and Day are just adorably sweet together they always have me swooning.

I feel like we got way more plot in this one than the romance and everything feels like it’s starting to build for conclusion (not actually sure how many books this series will be?) but I’m loving all the twists and turns we get.

My only small issue is that I wonder if there are just too many POVs? I feel like I’m watching a series of Game of Thrones where it takes so long to get back to the chapters I’m most interested in.

So backstory: I got into this series pretty early on so it will always have a special place in my heart and I was very honoured to get an arc of this.

Broken by daylight was really enjoyable and had lots of twists and turns and kept me guessing! I really enjoyed Ezryn and Dayton’s redemption and going into more of the summer realm was really fun.
This wasn’t my favourite of all the books, there were a lot of storylines going on at the same time and i would’ve loved to see more character development for Kelsario as he was not as heavily featured as the other mmc’s. I feel like I’m some ways this could’ve been two books with the amount of ground it was trying to cover.
Overall, this is another good addition to the series and I’m really excited to see where this goes! If you love why choose romantasy you should definitely add this series to your reading list, it’s often silly and whimsical but it also has a lot of fun heart!

Oh Caspian Caspian Caspian....you have my heart!!!

Another great book from the sisters!! I was gutted at the end of book 3 when Dayton was matched to Wrenly as his mate.

This book sees the battle for the summer realm the brothers are split across the realms each on their own journeys, secrets are uncovered and mates are found!

I also loved the pictures within the book of rosalina and her mates, it helped me visualise them more.

Roslina goes from strength to strength, and I'm glad to see she has compassion where needed and is level headed in sticky situations.

I can't wait for the next book to come out and very grateful to get to read this book before it was published.

Right back into Rosie’s story after the crazy cliffhanger from Forged by Malice. I’ve been reading these since the start and they are all absolutely fantastic. The spice and steam in this one is crazy awesome. Absolutely cannot wait for the next. 10/10 DEFINITELY recommend.

Whew, lots to unpack here. I read books 2-4 back to back to back after reading book 1 over a year ago. This was my favorite of the 4 books. There is so much mate drama and angst! A lot of the main plot points are not surprising; there are bread crumbs dropped all along the way, but I sort of liked getting an idea of what was coming and waiting to see how they got there. Although it has a higher page count, the pacing in this worked a lot better for me than in the first 3 books. Lots of action and adventure, and everyone is pretty much in peril of some kind throughout. No one is safe, and this will lead into book 5!

Thanks to Harper Collins UK, NetGalley, and the authors for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

This is the 4th book in the series and cannot be read as a standalone.

But also, what is what ending?!?!?! 😱😱😱

Such an amazing book!!!

This series has been a ride from the start and I'm insanely happy that Harper Collins has decided to pick it up. More people will stumble upon this gem. Yes, it's a reverse harem, and I can totally understand not everyone likes those, but if you're not against a woman with multiple men, and you enjoy Beauty and the Beast inspired stories, and you're a fan of ACOTAR: this is for you. I'm glad I got a review copy from Magpie through Netgalley.

In this fourth installment it's clear that this is no longer a retelling. The world has gotten way too big and complicated. The plot has gotten his own original direction and is about way more than breaking a curse. The politics have gotten way too complicated. This is full blown epic fantasy (technically portal fantasy, I think) with a big touch of romance. The books are therefore getting bigger and bigger and yet I keep reading them with ease and with joy.

Despite the fact that the authors are far from kind to our characters, I'm starting to understand why it's gonna take a few more books before there will be a happy ending (if there is gonna be one, that is). There are a few too many characters out there attempting to kill our heroes, and to take over the world. Every time our heroes get a small sliver of happiness, you can be sure that something terrible will happen to them very soon.

I also like that all the characters have their own plots, apart from the romance. Even though Rose has so many mates, she is doing more than being in love with them. Just like they are doing more than being her love interest. However, I think I'm not the only one who's slowly preferring some characters, and their point of view chapters, over others. I hope that in the next installment Keldarion will get a little more page time! (And I always, always, want more Caspian!)

I had to sit with my thoughts for 24 hours. Speechless (mostly because of sobbing) Lots of crying and questioning and reminiscing and deep breaths.

Broken by Daylight was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. The Beast of the Briar Series is in my top 3 favorite series of all time. Elizabeth and Helen graciously delivered a phenomenal fourth addition to the series.

A riptide is a good way to describe this story for Rosie and our Males. Everyone had a specific mission, leaving some to only pass like ships in the night. While that was incredibly difficult on our hearts and the hearts of our mates, each mission served an incredible purpose.
We had some victories and some failures, insurmountable personal growth, nurturing and betraying of trust, abandoning and rediscovering true selves and my new #1 favorite scene of all time. A true riptide, constantly pulled in one direction and then another. And just when you break the surface for air, you tumble below the depths again.
This book did such a fantastic job of answering questions and filling in major pictures while also in the end leaving me with more theories than when we began.
This book holds such a special place for me. I feel like I just can’t accurately describe the array of emotions I felt over these 808 pages. I’m gnawing on the bars of my enclosure not knowing just how everything will turn out. I’ll think about it everyday until then (trust me I did with Woven and Forged as well) See you in my dreams Enchanted Vale 🥹

I have been a fan of this series since it started. The ending of book 3 was very unpredictable which made the wait for book 4 very long. Broken by daylight is everything you could ask for and i loved every second of reading it. The plot wasn't easy to figure out and that made the read so much fun. So much stuff is happening all at once, and there is so much character development. The ending of book 3 really put the relationship between Dayton, Farron, Rosie and Wrenley to the test. The way they battle their feelings in this book is so difficult to read because you love the characters so much. Not only them but with Ezryn, as well, and Caspian makes some unexpected "friends"!. There are more relationships evolving in this book, not to give any spoilers, but it was relationships i didn't know i needed before it happend.

For the first time in this book series not everyone is in the same place which gives the characters time to grow as individuals. The storyline continues a couple of months after the ending of book 3.
The only thing i will say about this book that i didn't love, was that each of the characters went in different directions and it took them so long to find each other again. I would have loved to read more about them together like we got in the previous books.
The ending of this book had me so shocked and it ending on a huge cliffhanger!!!

I am so excited to see what happens in the next book!!

This book is the fourth book in the Beast of the Briar series.

It continues Rose’s (our FMC) story as she works with the Princes and Caspian to break the curse of Castletree.

Honestly, I was slightly disappointed with this book. I read books 3 and 4 one after the other and both books were over 600 pages long. I usually don’t mind a long book however it felt like the story and plot did not move much throughout either of these books. There were a lot of scenes I thought that didn’t need to be included as they had no relation to the plot and were just bulking the book out. I feel as though I would have enjoyed these a lot more if the story was compacted into 300-400 pages. It would have seemed a lot more fast paced and a lot more action packed.

I loved seeing Rose’s character develop further. She is truly such a strong and loving character. I love her and Farron’s relationship so much although I do feel like some of the relationships between Rose and the other Princes do not have as much depth as her and Farron’s. Maybe this will come with time as their characters develop more? It does feel at some points that all they care about is her looks and not how amazing her character is.

My favourite character is this particular book was Caspian. I feel like we have so much more to learn about him and I believe he truly has a great heart and loves Rose a lot.

There are still three books left to be released in this series and I truly do not know where the plot can go for these 3 books. I really hope the next book is more fast paced and the plot can get moving more quickly.

That being said, I absolutely love the idea of this book series and I do think the plot can be absolutely amazing if there were less filler chapters.

Thank you NetGalley and Harper Collins for a copy of the eARC🥀

This book was very long anticipated (personally). Without giving spoils, it does have a lot of Dayton information in it, which I was very excited to learn. This book also has a lot more action scenes in it compared to the first three. It's fast paced in some chapters, and others there is a lot of information being handed to you. Sometimes, I'd have to go back and reread a paragraph to make sure I'm on track with what is currently going on. That's not to say that it's not entertaining cause whooo boy! This was a ROLLERCOASTER! I couldn't put it down. Especially during the intense scenes! That's a good word to use for this book, intense. More so than the first three. The entire time I was laughing, smiling, rolling my eyes, huffing along with the characters all while trying to be quiet as my partner slept next to me! It was very difficult!

The character growth was immaculate. If you read the book, you know who I'm talking about. It just made me so angry with some, love one's that I didn't expect, and feel so bad for others! Love, love, love! And cannot wait for the next!!

Standing Ovation!!!!!

I devour every word these women write in this series! The characters are unique and the way they continue to develop even this far into the series is incredible. Each character has a personality that accurately represents their season or position in the above/below and the way they are beginning to all fit to get together is spectacular and believable for fictional characters. This book has been my favorite so far! While each book has followed the paths of all the characters, this book specifically has followed the journey of all of them individually away from each other at points and together in a way that has helped propel the story to a whole new level. The different locations introduced in this book has opened a door to many alternate routes for this world and I am so excited to see where this tale goes from here.
