Broken by Daylight? I'm broken by Elizabeth and Helen!

This is, yet again, an emotional roller coster that will do series damage to your heart. From the first page to the last, you will be saying "it can't get worse than this" before being proven wrong time and time again. There are three more books planned for this series, and I don't know how the characters can go through much more. These characters are learning so much about themselves, and the character growth with the plot and the banter is exquisite. AND THAT PLOT TWIST!!! (Well, the multiple plot twists.)

There have been highs and there have been the lowest of lows, happy moments alongside devastation, yet I always keep coming back for more. Even knowing the tears will come you won't be able to put this book down.

Spice is 6/5!

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins for this opportunity.

***** SPOILERS IN REVIEW *****

Okay this series is seriously my favorite. I'm only on chapter 42 & I'm already screaming at the authors! Why do they enjoy torturing us and why is wrenley such a little b****** & why do I want to smack the sh*t out of Dayton!!!!!!!! Arrffhhhhhh this book pisses me off and makes me so happy at the same time.
I'm devouring it and will come back with another update shortly when I calm down LOL
I don't know how I can handle this for another 3 books. Please don't leave me on a cliff hanger lolli
Okay I'm not a few chapters from the end and..... this is my favorite series of all time. The way they weave all of the stories and POV's together & keep you guessing the whole time is insane. I've screamed, laughed and cried through out this book. I'm so sad to see it end. I can't wait to read the rest already.
Spoiler - rosie has finally found her mates. I was dying for Rosie and Dayton to realize wrenley was a snake! There were so many signs and hints that she wasn't who she said she was. I knew it was the necklace but had no clue sera was wrenley aka Rosie's sister and caspians chosen sister. I'm glad we got more backstory of Rosie's mom & dad too. Who knew Rosie's dad wasn't human!!!!
Also, farron. My sweet farron. Right when Rosie day and farron can finally be together guess what ..... something comes and messes everything up! What is happening to him?
Will the green flame change him? I'm worried for him & im also worried about him bringing you know who back from the dead. Why didn't the blessing want to return to him ?!
Oh man.... What a ride. So many answered questions, but there are so many more now!!

My jaw? On the floor. My heart? Shattered. My mind? Reeling. I love this series with my whole heart but it is a cruel love because I cannot handle these plot twists. 😭😭😭 No, but in all seriousness Elizabeth & Helen have OUT DONE themselves. This story slowly evolving into a more complex high fantasy world with each book. I feel like this book was so magnificent, the character arcs.. the action.. the magic. I truly think this is their best book yet - in terms of writing. But as a Dayton stan - pls be kinder to me next book. 😭😭😭

Love love love this series and this book hasn’t disappointed. It felt a little too long at some points through the book but overall it was a great read. Fair warning, definitely ends on a cliffhanger.
I’m so happy with the events in this book with Rosalina finding out more about her mates, It’s very action packed and had me sitting on the edge of my seat quite a few times. Rosalina finds out more about her mother and finds out who her sister is!
If you loved the first 3 books you will definitely enjoy this one and if you haven’t read this series yet then you should definitely start reading now!

Main Tropes: Fated Mates, Hidden Identity, Enemies to lovers, Why choose, Reverse harem, Touch Her and Die.

Firstly a huge thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins, and authors Elizabeth Helen for the ARC, I was bursting with excitement when I received it!

Where to start. I love this series, and the books just keep getting better and better.

There’s a lot going on in Broken by Daylight, it dives straight into the action three months after Forged by Malice. The spotlight this time is on the Summer Realm. I was so looking forward to Dayton’s story, especially after the cliffhanger the 3rd book left us on with Dayton finding his “mate”. Against the backdrop of war, the main characters are all wrestling with different challenges and are set on their own journeys. Some are pulled apart and others pushed closer together.

We got to see even more world building in this book, exploring new realms and landscapes. You can see the inspiration drawn from Hercules and the Little Mermaid woven through, which works so perfectly with Dayton’s character growth.

It’s fair to say my nerves have been frayed to shreds. The plot twists, the banter, the 🌶️, the heartbreak, the love, the ENDING. It will live rent free in my mind until the day I get my hands on the 5th book, which I already cannot wait for!

The emotional rollercoaster I went through during this book!! I can't believe my heart is still beating, I don't think I've been this anxious whilst reading a book in a long while!!

We still follow all our favorite heroes, Rosie, Kel, Farron, Ezryn, Daytonales (I love his name) and our favorite vilain, Cas! They must each follow their own path in this book in order to reach their goals! I loved this so much because we got to see so many different parts of the Vale! We finally understand so much more, I loved the character description at the beginning because we get something about every single one!
Rosie is such a gorgeous character, inside and out, she's the sweetest thing ever and her mates are extremely lucky to have her, just as she is as lucky to have them! I love that we get to see them even more vulnerable with each other than in the other books, I live for these emotions!

Having read the previous three books in less than a week, this one did take me a bit longer, only because I feel there was so much more depth to it and the characters, we got to know them on a much deeper level and it was also a much longer book!

I cannot wait for the next one!!!

Thank you to HarperCollins and Netgalley for sending me an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

AHHHHHHHH!!!!! I am suffering from a whirlwind of paralyzing emotions.

***Minor spoilers about my feelings throughout my read that could elude to certain events***

Before I get started, quick question for the authors: How dare you? The audacity? Can we not have one thing? Perhaps, a moment of peace? Our babies have been through so much!

Now, into the good stuff.

This book left me sobbing at 3 am while teetering between getting a lobotomy or planning swift vengeance. I was an ever-changing mix of pure wrath, angst, distress, delight, and satisfaction, all while being down bad and thiiiiiirsting over each character.

Elizabeth and Helen are extraordinary writers and continue to absolutely blow me away with each book. It’s rare for me to not find that books drop in some way or seem like they’re furthering the plot for the sake of more books as a series continues but they have accomplished that feat. Each continuation only gets better and better. It’s been amazing to see what they do and how they continue to push the plot and characters in ways that not only make sense, but also throw you through a rollercoaster of emotions of elation, despair, and rage. It’s fantastic.

The development between character relationships, their individual self growth, and the plot line!!!!!!!! I was screaming, crying, throwing up the entire time. They are building up to something that’s going to be so epic and heart breaking. I can’t comment on any plot developments without giving anything away other than: It’s everything you want, hate, didn’t know you wanted, and didn’t expect to happen. I literally have no words. Only shouts and screams.

Elizabeth and Helen are on a Taylor Swift level of easter eggs and clues. SO many things have been eluded to and hinted at with the smallest of details that you don’t realize are actually important until it’s all revealed. Ugh, chef’s-fricking-kiss.

We got to experience new relationships between the characters and dive deeper into others that we’ve only gotten peeks at. The tension is deliciously palpable. I love each character so soooo damn much. I just want to hold my sweet babies and protect them from everything. The nuances in their relationships and how different and just how much they all love each other is soooo devastatingly beautiful, it has me in tears constantly while reading.

Rosie captured it perfectly, “How lucky we are to get to share in so many different kinds of love?”

This is a full 5 peppers. I don’t care. It’s five. SO MUCH SPICE. It’s not just thrown in there for the sake of it either, like each scene makes sense to further the relationships/plot. But DEAR GODS, so hot, so romantic, someone sedate me. Everyone is feral for each other and I am LIVING for it.

Beasts of the Briar is THE ULTIMATE romantasy series with nods to your favorite fandoms, fairytales, and disney movies. It’s funny, romantic, scorching hot, magical, mysterious, heart wrenching, it’s absolutely everything all at once.

It has a sunshine fmc, grumpy mmc, golden retriever mmc, cinnamon roll mmc, sexy villain mmc, and masked murderous knight mmc. Why Choose, Beauty and the Beast retelling base story, Sword Crossing, Fated Mates, Hercules/Little Mermaid Vibes, Hidden Powers and Identity, Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Found Family, literally everything!!! What’re you doing with your life if you haven’t read it???

Thank you to NetGalley and for approving me for this ARC, I’m so so honored.

Thank you to Elizabeth and Helen for writing and sharing such a beautiful story. This series gave me light at a very dark time in my life. It’s the reason why I joined the online book community and started this account. It was the first review I ever posted. I can’t say thank you enough.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS SERIES!!!!!!!!!

Latest instalment of polycule fantasy

I haven't read the previous three so, unfortunately, I feel ill-placed to judge this one. However, as a fantasy specialist, I can say that the intricate fantasy elements, from a base of Beauty and the Beast, are confusing yet at heart are very, very simple. I'm not the audience for this, but I know that there is an audience for this series.

Three stars.

5/5 stars ; 4/5 spice. Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins for my digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

EEK! I waited 9 months to read this book ater Forged by Malice and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! If you haven't started this series, what are you waiting for? Go!

This series is the perfect blend of plot, world buildilng, character development, and spice. This installment is somewhat steamier than previous books, but there's still an equal ratio of plot-to-spice. Not a single page felt wasted. Everyone is split up and on their own journey that will help them to end this war that started. You follow along each of the pairs/groups so you get a little taste of all these different settings (the deserts of the summe realm, the below, the ocean/islands of summer realm, the chasm of the winter realm, etc.). A lot of the questions that you have from books 1-3 are answered in this installment INCLUDING DAYTON'S MATE! (But Ezryn is still my favorite)

I cannot believe how quickly I devoured this story!! I really thought Ez’s story was going to be my favorite, but something about Day & Cas shining through in this book makes it my favorite in the series so far. The emotional heart strings this book pulled on were VAST. The scenes were perfectly spicy, Rosie continued to match any obstacle in her path, and we even got some news on that Elusive Missing Queen.

All in all, this book is a must for any romantasy lover - I love the equal match of plot, backstabbing, and romance. It sings true to my Gemini soul & I know it’ll grip every reader the same way.

It's Day 3 of my binge of the first 4 Beasts of The Briar books and I've now finished the fourth book, Broken by Daylight. This why choose Beauty and The Beast retelling is set in a Fae world, with a modern day FMC, Rosalina and 5 Fae Princes.

This series had been on my TBR for a while, so when I saw the ARC for Broken by Daylight, I jumped at the chance. By the time I got accepted, I'd realised that I had 3 books to read before this one. I read the first 2 in one day, and books 3 and 4 over the next two days so it's safe to say that this series is very bingeable!

There's a really handy lore recap at the start of Broken by Daylight, which is useful to bridge the gap between reading the books (and even offers new pieces of information/context that are useful even if you binge the first 3 books in 2 days!) The list of characters is helpful too since the world has really expanded over the last few books and there's lots more characters to keep track of.

This book starts off in a bleaker place than the previous ones, with all the main characters separated and they all have to work really hard to get back to each other and to deal with their individual issues. I personally really love the focus on one realm and the respective Prince in each book so that they get their time to shine individually, while still having plenty of time to progress the other characters' storylines. This is only really possible because of the longer book length, as there are a lot of characters and plot points to cover. The set up for Dayton, High Prince of Summer, has been building up nicely across the last few books and it was the perfect time for his time in the sun. A lot of plotlines have come to fruition in this book, and the hints that were heavily signposted have now paid off. I'm more excited for the next 3 books now, because all of my predictions have come true already, and now I'm hopeful that the plot will go to places I don't expect!

Every single book in the series has got stronger and stronger, and at this point in the series the balance of plot, character development and romance/spice is pretty much perfect for my liking, so I'm just hoping for more of the same across the rest of the series. My only request is that the foreshadowing would be a bit more subtle going forwards, so that the plot twists can hit as hard for the readers as they do for the poor characters. I'd rather miss a subtle hint and be completely surprised than it be signposted too much and then have me waiting and waiting for the characters to figure it out too.

I can't wait for the next 3 books, and to see what other torment the characters will be put through! Winter is up next, and then I'm hoping for The Below and The Above to finish off a book based on every realm!

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley but this is my voluntary and honest review.

I am absolutely loving this series, and this book is my favourite so far! It's filled with intense emotions, deftly alternating between epic battle scenes and heartfelt intimate moments. Love truly lies at the core of this story, and I'm seriously counting down the days until the next installment!

This book was one of my most anticipated reads of the year! I devoured the first three in less than a week, and every minute waiting to return to the Vale was painful!
My love of Rosie knows no bounds. She is strong, fierce, loyal and most of all the most empathetic person and partner. Every day I wish I could emulate the beauty of her soul.
Daytonales goes through the most heart wrenching journey. We truly get to see him hit rock bottom and then claw his way back into the light with his signature smirk never wavering. His struggle to find his true strength and self is no match against the love for his chosen family.
Getting to peak deeper inside of who Caspian is at his core was so amazing. I love this beautiful, twisted man with all my heart and knowing how he suffers to protect those he loves is just heartbreaking.
I want to hate Wrenly so badly, but I just can’t… I do, I hate her, but I also understand her.
Overall, so much better than I ever could have imagined. The twists and turns had me glued to the page. I cried with them, I laughed with them, and I wished I could be Rose as her mates showed her just how special she is!

Lovers of this series are in for a treat! The world building truly expands and we get to adventure through Summer. One thing I love about this series is the thought that goes into building each realm. The new settings in every book are so fun to experience.

The story itself is certainly heart wrenching, be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster that leads up the huge final act. I do believe in those finals moments I likely held my breath the entire time. Are we happy?? Are we devastated?? We feel it all!! Brava to the authors for writing such an enthralling installment in this series. Despite this being the fourth book, I am still being kept on my toes!

I am eagerly awaiting the next book. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me the opportunity to read this ahead of its publication in exchange for an honest review.

I love this series. I would easily give this particular book 5 stars but I don't like cliffhangers and I wanted the group together more, especially at the end. I realize with this series barely halfway done that I am just going to have to be patient. I love the pairings as the the group went their different paths - especially Farron and Cas. I love that some answers that most readers assumed were revealed to the main characters (who Wrenly is, what she isn't, what Cas is to Rosie, etc). I am interested to see more interactions with the queen, so I hope that continues as well. I really enjoyed and appreciated the timeline/history and character updates at the beginning. Thank you so much for the ARC opportunity to NetGalley & the publisher.

What a ride. My heart was broken and mended back so many times in this book. Chapters 122-124 are going to haunt me until book 5 releases, I just know it. This book was everything and more than I'd hoped it would be.

Gosh, it's hard to pick a favorite plot line so many were so good. The authors did a great job balancing the multiple locations and storylines for the main cyast, making them feel unique but tied together still. I felt the balance of POVs were great and it really helped build the tension throughout.

This book answered some burning questions and then left me with more. I can't wait to see where the next book goes, especially because I adore Kel and Winter.

This series may be my Roman Empire.

Thank you Elizabeth and Helen for continuing to weave an epic fantasy with a beautiful why choose romance that leaves me begging for more.

Also, I sincerely appreciate the opportunity of being an ARC reader for this amazing series!

This book is fantastic! I didn't think I could love certain characters even more than I already did, but it happened! The story was packed full of adventure and I love the world building. It keeps getting bigger & bigger which helps paint the picture of the realms. It is so satisfying! I find myself wanting more on the Summer realm already! There are several reveals as well which answered so many questions that I had. However I now have new questions. It was also an emotional rollercoaster. Please be prepared when reading this book. I personally have favorite characters and I know Elizabeth & Helen will take care me as reader, but there were some tough yet exciting moments. That again leaves you wanting more. I felt this book was fast paced and I couldn't put it down. It does end on a cliffhanger, and I am so excited for the next book.

To sum it up, this was an amazing book to continue a wonderful series!

This was such a wonderful addition to this magical series. A very fast paced story filled with pain, fighting, loss, fate, illness, upset, secrets and love. It made me feel so many emotions in a short space of time. If you liked the first few books in the series you will absolutely love this one. The final few chapters left me on the edge of my seat and I will be waiting somewhat impatiently for the next book. Definitely recommend this series to anyone that enjoys this type of book.🪻🔮

I received an ARC copy of this book from HarperCollins (thank you!) and am leaving an honest review voluntarily.

I am absolutely obsessed with this series!!! It is one of my all time favourite series!! All four books are a must have!! I will be buying the physical copy of this for my shelf right next to the first 3.
I love the style of writing, the chemistry with the different characters has me squealing!! I’m just truely obsessed! And just massive thank you to the authors for writing these!!!!! Xx

'Broken by Daylight' is the most fantastical of the series. Bringing you action, adventure, and heart ache. If you aren't already a fan of this series, this addition will make you one.

What stands out in this book is the character development and the reverse character development. I loved reading the journey of acceptance. It made the characters feel more real and close to my heart.

The spice in this book is exceptional. Each character has their own version of fun, which adds to the excitement and character building.

The world building is easy to follow. I personally sometimes have a hard time digesting fantasy books that bombard me with too much world information. Elizabeth Helen make it easy to follow where is what, and what is where.

This is still my favorite series of all time. The writers really knocked it out the park with this one. When's the next book? I don't think I can handle waiting for it.
