I’ll keep this spoiler free. You already know this is Dayton’s book and he’s a gladiator from the Summer Realm.

This book is big, and a lot happens in it. The unthinkable, the predictable, the horrible, the magical, the spice 🌶️. It has it all.

My criticism is that it just seemed a bit rushed. Rosie flitted between emotions at parts with no real time to process. I just had to tuck my tail and roll with it. It could easily have been another 50 pages longer (and I would have been totally happy with that. I’d gladly live in this world if I could).

I spotted two major plot holes/issues, both involving Dayton. One, they forgot to turn him into a wolf one night. No, it had nothing to do with the mate bond. He was clearly up all night as daylight breaking was described at the end of the scene. Two, the whole reason for him going back into the area just felt a bit tenuous. Maybe it wasn’t set up properly. We clearly needed him there for the rest of the story to make sense, it just felt like a weak point.

I said in a previous review that Forged was when this series stopped being a guilty pleasure for me and became a serious high fantasy series. We slipped back to guilty pleasure, but Ezryn has always been my favourite.

But the ending, oh that ending! 😱 I can’t wait for the next one!

Absolutely devoured this!!

Despite being 800+ pages, it didn't feel like it at all! The pace and action and hot romance made this book utterly addictive!

I honestly couldn't believe how much I obsessed over the characters and the worry when I thought someone might be killed off!!

Gorgeously plotted with high stakes and incredible tension. Every character including villains feel really fleshed out with back stories.

Very spicy.

This series gets better and better!!!

Broken By Daylight was a rollercoaster of emotions, literally. I went from feeling extreme happiness to uncontrollable fury to unimaginable sadness to burning lust. This book made me shed several tears (happy, sad and angry) but gave me a feeling of warmth and fulfillment. After waiting so many months for Broken By Daylight to be released after the devastating ending of Forged By Malice, starting this ARC (which was my dream to be approved for) made me feel like I was coming home and reuniting with these characters that I love so much.

Elizabeth Helen, you did it again. I don't know how you manage to outdo yourselves with each book released in this series, but you two are beyond amazing. Broken By Daylight surpassed its predecessor and became my favorite volume in the Beasts of the Briar series. In addition to becoming the best book I've read this entire year so far and a great candidate for my Book of The Year.

I feel like the world that the sisters created was even more explored in this book. We had several groups of characters going on their own quests in many different places and it made me realize how vast and detailed the Enchanted Vale and beyond is. We got to know the people of Summer better in this volume and what was presented was so, so interesting that it left me thirsty to discover more about this realm so rich in culture. I especially want to know more about a certain group of people who have a greater affinity for life in the water and another group who live in the desert. I won't give any more details so I don't end up giving spoilers to future readers. They deserve to discover all of this along with our favorite characters as they adventure through the Summer realm.

Speaking of them, we had a lot of personality and story development, especially regarding our main group of characters, Rosie and her five captivating princes. Dayton, Ezryn and Caspian stole the show for me. I can't even tell how much I was thirsty to know what would happen to them in each of their arcs. Ez and Cas continue to be my favorite princes and the way they grew even more in my opinion in this book makes me so happy, I can't wait to find out what will happen to them in the next volume. Especially after that ending, oh my God.

The secondary characters also had very important roles in this fourth volume and I was curious and worried about what would happen to each of them. I love it when authors give due attention to enriching their stories by developing their secondary characters well and I believe that Elizabeth and Helen do this masterfully. Broken By Daylight only confirmed and cemented this even more in my humble opinion. They have the gift of making me hate and love a character in equal measure. I go from cursing someone to crying for that same person as the chapters go by. It's incredible!

Broken By Daylight ends with a cliffhanger as is customary with all the books in this series, which will make you crazy to read the fifth volume soon. However, I believe in the sisters and I know that when the next book comes out it will make me feel like I'm coming home again after a long time away and that it will be even more incredible than the one I just read. They keep outdoing themselves and I keep becoming more and more of a fan of these wonderful authors, this captivating series and this fantastic world!

P.S.: The art in this book was divine. I was drooling over each one of them, I would like to congratulate the artists for the wonderful work portraying our favorite characters!

I first and foremost read for the romance, and this book gave me some top-notch romance. However, what surprised me the most was how much I enjoyed the relationships that developed between some of the main characters and side characters. It gave the story as a whole more depth and meaning. Now I am rooting for more than just the main characters. Building on that, the authors have really mastered drawing the reader into this whimsical world. It is safe to say, I had a BLAST. I felt really lucky to be reading this in the Texas heat, because it set the mood for learning about the summer realm. Just like learning about the Farron and the fall realm, we learn the intricacies of Summer, and it is COOL or should I say hot? (it definitely was). I will say that cliff hanger was brutal, and I don't know what to do with myself. If you have enjoyed the series so far, I believe you will love this one. I loved this one the most, and I can't wait to see what the authors do next.

One last thing, I am in love with Caspian.

"AHHHHH!" That is an exact quote of what I sent to my friend throughout reading this book. I loved all of it and it never feels like you're reading a 600+ page book when Elizabeth Helen writes it. I have been in love with this series since the first book and the world building and storytelling is fantastic. Getting to explore the Summer Realm and falling more in love with all the boys was exactly what I wanted. I stayed up until 1am finishing it because after I got to a certain point, I couldn't put it down. Now time to wait for the next one...

☀️ A Thrilling Adventure You Can't Put Down! ☀️

@author.elizabeth.helen have done it again! The Beasts of the Briar series continues to deliver in the fourth installment, and I am absolutely obsessed. This book took me on a wild ride through the enchanting and treacherous realms of the Vale, and I devoured it in just one day—I simply couldn’t put it down!

Book 4 is everything I needed and more. Rosie and Dayton’s journey is filled with heart-pounding action, intense emotions, and a romance that burns brighter than ever. The tournament to reclaim the Bow of Radiance kept me on the edge of my seat, and watching Rosie embrace her destiny as the Princess of the Enchanted Vale was incredibly satisfying. The growing tension and undeniable chemistry between her and the High Princes is just… wow!

The stakes have never been higher, with the sinister forces of the Below threatening to consume everything, but Rosie and her Princes rise to the challenge. And can we talk about Caspian? 🔥 He adds a layer of complexity that makes this story impossible to forget.🌶️

If you’re a fan of Beauty and the Beast retellings with a spicy twist, this series is a must-read. Elizabeth Helen's writing style is captivating, giving you everything you could ever want in a fantasy romance. The Beasts of the Briar series has quickly become one of my all-time favorites, and Book 4 is no exception. The anticipation for Book 5 is real—I can’t wait to dive back into this enchanting world and see where this wild ride takes us next! 🌹🍂🌸❄️☀️🥀

Thank you @netgalley for this arc and Harper collins UK for approving it.

Ahhh this series has me in such a chokehold!

🥀Romantasy

🥀Why Choose

🥀Found Family

🥀Beauty and the Beast vibes

🥀& much much more!!!

This is book 4 in the Beasts of the Briar series and damn it was a good one!! This book was giving me major whiplash though: OH NO, awwww, NO WAY, omg omg omg, lmao, so cute, OH SHIT (and that continued on for the entirety of the book). You get heartbreak, war, love, friendship, betrayal, plot twists, and lots of spice.

I’m going to leave my review pretty vague cause going in blind is best and just say read the dang thing!!!

I can’t believe that I actually read the fourth book of this beautiful series.
In this volume we explore the Summer Realm and we will finally know more about Dayton and his past, we will also find out more about the identity of Rosalina’s mother.
I have seen an incredible growth in Rosalina, now she is a strong Princess that will do whatever it takes to break the curse that makes her princes.
Keldarion, Farron and Ezryn are madly in love with their Rosie and i think that having their POV is an incredible way of seeing this.
For me there was a thing that made the reading itself a little difficult: there were a lot of things going on at the same time for great part of the narration.
In fact i did a reread of some chapters to be sure of getting everything right.
I really look forward to continue the Beast of the Briar series with book five!

Elizabeth Helen never fails to disappoint. They have a writing style that gives everything I need in a book! Book 4 of this wild ride through the briars of this realm. Thanks so much for an ARC copy of this novel, I have been itching to get my hands on this story since the last one! I think this book had more separate storylines happening at one time compared to the prior books. Everyone had to go on their own journeys/tasks to help with the overall goal. Which because of the twists and turns what that overall goal is seems to keep changing. I do find it super interesting to watch how not only is there a romance forward plot but also each individual character is dealing with their own insecurities and growth needed to be come the best versions of themself. Dayton’s arc was fantastic to watch unfold. However farron’s storyline is making me start to question what else he needs to work through for him to be making these decisions. Caspian still stands true as my favorite prince to read about, his story is ever evolving and provides such depth and intrigue to the world. The overarching theme of “love” and what that looks like and what people do or don’t do for it is so fun to watch unfold. This ending has me eager for the next book!

WOW 🤩 I can’t wait for book 5. This book does end in a cliffhanger. Usually I don’t read a series until it’s all done, but this series just sounded so good I could not resist. Paranormal reverse harem/fairytale retelling. Wolves, fae, queens, and spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. This world that the authors created is like nothing I’ve read before.

I can't even properly express how amazing this book was. My heart was racing for almost all of it. I never knew what was going to slap me in the face next, and I was constantly talking out loud about it all even if nobody was around to listen. I had to let it out. 😂 It was mind blowing, amazing, stressful, hot, crazy, upsetting, infuriating, everything. I can't give any spoilers, but you guys! Prepare yourselves and hold on tight. 😉

Spoiler free!
This book was amazing. I think when reading i normally try to guess what’ll happen next but i couldn’t do that with this one. There’s so many plot twists and turns that it keeps you wanting to finish it in one sitting. I think this series is only going to get better. Throughout this book you’ll see a little bit of character development from each character. My favorite character, this time around, has to be Ez & Cas. I can’t wait to see how everyone further grows in book 5. You do not want to miss this when it drops. Book 4 does end on a cliffhanger unfortunately 🥲☹️ idk how I’ll survive after finishing that lol

✅️Sexual tension!
✅️Multiple MMF scenes
✅️MFing Mermaids!!!

❌️The wait until book 5

The sisters have struck again with another great installment to the Beasts of the Briar series! I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC and the only thing I can tell you is to be prepared to devour this book, there are sleepless nights guaranteed until you turn that last page!

Broken by Daylight picks up a few months after the end of Forged by Malice, our lovely Castleetree crew is spread across the realms and all of the Vale is facing the threat of Kairyn backed by the Below. This book is packed cover to cover in nail biting adventure from gladiator fights to prison breaks and battles at sea!

And what would a Beasts of the Briar installment be without some steamy toe-curling spice! The sisters have truly outdone themselves! With multiple and meaningful MMF scenes (and we aren't just talking about Day and Fare here anymore) solo scenes to make you blush, and sweet romantic moments that will have you kicking your feet this one really has something for everyone.

I had long awaited Dayton's story, as my personal favorite prince, and I was not disappointed there's so many lovely plot twists and reveals. Broken by Daylight is packed cover to cover and is definitely my new favorite installment. I can promise you tears and laughter. Elizabeth and Helen have truly delivered another masterpiece.

Omg, omg, omg and yes, omg. I’ve now finished the fourth book in my favourite romantasy series. And just like I feel when I finished the other three, what now? How am I suppose to cope whilst waiting for the fifth book?? This series is one of those that just get better, and better with every single installment. Just like Throne of Glass and An ember in the ashes, it just gets better. And I mean, book one is specatcular, so you get the idea of how good the rest is. We truly start off directly after the events of the third book, which I love. Straight to the action! I’m so happy with the route the authors decided to take this story, even though I screamed at the characters several times in my head (and out loud) like omg, ”she’s not who she says she is!!” I got that from her very first appeareance, get it together people! But yeah, and also I definitely shed a few tears, like full on ugly crying, sobbing, at one particular scene. Why did you do this to me?? Why? And ofc we end on a major cliffhanger, I can only imagine what we are gonna be going through in the fifth book…Winter is coming!!

If you love romantasy, epic worldbuilding, fae, fairytale retellings, Beauty and the beast and ofc reverse harem with aaaall it’s steamy, spicy parts? Then what are you WAITING for?? Read the Beasts of the Briar series now! And come talk to me about it after 😂🥀🐺

This was definitely one of my favorites in the series so far! So much happened! Questions were answered and new ones are formed.
It was definitely fulfilling and absolutely wholesome at times. Other times I was STRESSED! I already know these next few in the series are going to be action-packed and I’m super duper nervous for the rest of this journey. But also the most excited!

This books is a rollercoaster!!! I loved the character growth we got with some of the characters. Hated the backslide of others 😒 Days behavior in some spots made me just not want to read it. But glad I continued! That ending!?! Phenomenal

I adore a good retelling of beauty and the beast (lucky for me this is a super popular one to retell). but with this we also get spice!
Very enjoyable and fast paced read!

GENRE: Romantasy/Spicy Fairytale Retelling

MY RATING: 4/5
Characters: 3.5/5
Storyline: 3.5/5
Writing style/structure: 4/5
Overall enjoyment: 4.5/5

ABOUT THE BOOK
War has come to the Enchanted Vale. Not only am I mates to three of the four High Princes, but I’m also the daughter of the lost Queen. This is my home, and I have to protect it.
For months, I’ve been imprisoned in an underwater cell, and my mates are scattered across the realms, searching for me. The diabolic Kairyn and Nightingale have taken over the Summer Realm and there’s only one way to stop them. The true High Prince of Summer will have to reclaim his throne, and to do that, he’s going to need his full strength.
Which means being with his fated mate … who isn’t me. I always knew the day would come when I’d have to give Dayton up, but now that it’s here, my heart is breaking. At least we have one last adventure together, as we must fight in the Sun Colosseum to reclaim the magical bow that only I can wield.
All the while, my mates battle for the Vale’s freedom from across the realms. Keldarion and my father venture deep into the Below to search for my mother, the lost queen. Ezryn takes a hazardous journey with two young princesses into the unforgiving desert. And Farron must team up with the person he hates most in the world—the Prince of Thorns, Caspian—to confront a dark god who wants to claim the Vale for his own.
I know my Princes are counting on me to be strong. No matter what the Summer Realm throws at us—be it pirates, sirens, or gladiators—I’ll fight for Dayton’s home. And even though I know I shouldn’t … I’ll fight for his heart, too.

MY THOUGHTS
Who doesn’t love a fairytale retelling? And who doesn’t love a fairytale retelling with SPICE!!! This series is everything that I hoped for, and more. From the moment I picked this fourth book up, I was hooked.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with this ARC. This book will be released 10 September 2024.

Holy Macaroni. I don't even know how to process what I just read?!? (in the absolute best way!)

Trying to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, this is hands down my favorite book of the series so far! I found this one to be a bit more emotional than the others-I definitely cried more in this one than the others FOR SURE. And the one-liners are GOLDEN (pun intended)! I was cracking up the whole way through the book. If I wasn't crying, I was laughing or screaming. There was no inbetween lmao.

I cannot WAIT for this to come out in audio so that I can experience it again with my ears! I was lucky enough to get an ARC from netgalley and the authors (thank you!) and I love getting to experience a book with both my eyes and my ears! I already know the audio production won't disappoint!

The amount of cliffhangers this book leaves us on should be illegal (plural, because yes, there are MULTIPLE!).

Anyway, I'm going to go stare out the window bella swan style until the next book.

This is a guilty pleasure series for me. The plot is very predictable and it almost makes the characters looks dumb when the obvious solution is right in front of them. It is however a fun plot premise and I love the angst. I think there are a lot of people in their 20-30s who would enjoy this as a quick read.
