I am an emotional wreck after finishing this book, in the best way possible. It made me laugh, it made me angry, it made me elated and it made me cry. It's the kind of epic fantasy adventure we all dreamed we could go on as little girls. It also have several amazing love interests. All of the side characters in this book are tantalizing and add so much depth to the storyline. It's a book I will be thinking about for years to come, not just in a few days or weeks like most.

I've read the other three previous books in this series and my favorite used to be the second book, Woven by Gold. However, Broken by Daylight blew all the other ones out of the water (literally 😉) and is now my favorite thus far.

As per usual with this series it leaves you on an absolutely terrifying cliffhanger. I cannot wait to devour the next book the way I did this one.

Yes, I know I will be rereading it as soon as the audiobook comes out. I would recommend it to everyone I know, not just romance readers. But you have to read the series in order first.

🚫☕ - yeah there is nothing cozy about this book, its very intense from beginning to end

Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this arc.

Another fantastic book that I was very excited to read. The world building is completely mesmerising and the characters are so diverse and fascinating and very easy to connect to. The writing is top notch, which can be expected throughout her books. A very consistent author.

I am completely enthralled by this series - it has me completely captivated!
Any future books, I will anxiously await!

Screaming, crying, throwing up. Literally all the emotions when it comes to this book. If you felt wrecked after Forged By Malice, just wait until you've read Broken By Daylight. The writers outdid themselves, bringing about even bigger emotions and reveals.

Buckle up for an epic adventure with beautifully written descriptions of the Summer Realm, mythical creatures, magical moments, and, of course, mates.

Much of this book takes place with the main characters separated from each other or in small groups. The princes have to find Rosalina, fight against Sira and the Below, rescue a queen, and save the Summer Realm, all while fighting their own internal demons. We also get to know some new characters like Farron's sister and Dayton's sister.

It's got the depth and darkness of the previous books but also the light and playfulness that one would expect when reading about the Summer Realm. Dayton's personal growth and ARC are the shining pieces of this story. We also get a lot more Caspian page time and a certain spicy scene between two princes and Rosalina that will leave you demanding more.

So, so grateful to NetGalley for allowing me to read this beautifully written ARC in exchange for my free and honest opinions. Devastated that I have to wait for the next book.

I absolutely loved this book whilst also being devastated by it. Elizabeth and Helen understand it to take their readers to the heights of all of their emotions, there was laughing out loud, romance and also ugly crying involved. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

This series has had me in a chokehold since book 1. In this fourth installment of the Beast of Briar series we are focusing not only on Dayton and the Summer Blessings but also the issues surrounding the other members of Rosie's harem.

Reading this tory was like reading several mini novellas all in one. There were so many storylines going on simultaneously all coming to a gut wrenching and shocking climax.

This book picks up 3 months after the events from Book 3. Everyone is split up on their mission to find Rosie. We find Dayton, Farron and Wrenley together. Kel and Caspian together and of course Ezryn on his own still reeling from his fallout with Kel.

While reading this book prepare to have your emotions spiraling all over the place. This book with make you Laugh, Cry, Angry, Happy, Sad, Angsty you name it. The spice was definitely spicing in this book, whew get it Rosie.

So many secrets were uncovered, and sacrifices made but one thing is for certain; things are never as they appear to be and that will be a lesson learned by many. This book was well over 600+ pages and I read it in 1 day. the only compliant I have is that I have to wait for Book 5.

These authors have blessed us!!!! This book had so many moments we’ve been waiting for.

This series is my favorite why-choose and favorite fantasy I’ve discovered this year. I love how unique and diverse each of the characters are. I struggle in why-choose remembering who did what, especially when the characters are written to be so similar, but I don’t have that issue with this series!!!

This book was so action packed. What an adventure these characters went through, and us as the reader. I was shocked by some of the choices some characters made, but also so impressed by the growth in others.

Day’s character growth has been so beautiful to read. He went from my least favorite, to one of the ones I feel is the best written. Cas is consistent as always and I love everything about him.

I wish we got more Kel in this book, but what we did get was magnificent. 😮‍💨 He’s also developed beautifully as a character.

I’m a little put off by Farron and Ez right now. Ez still needs some major character growth, which we thought he was going to get and then he changed his mind almost immediately??? But I think he’s going to be crucial to binding the group together in the next book.

Farron made some dumb choices which was shocking since he’s the most book smart?? I’m excited for what those choices bring us in the next book though. 👀 It’s funny the first to accept the mate bond, is going to be the last to have to get his shit together!!!!

I’m also loving some of the side characters. I went from wanting them dead, to being really excited for what they may bring to the story.

Man the ending was so fun. I was shocked, jaw on the floor, multiple times. So many things happened in this book. So many I didn’t see coming, and I’m not at allllll mad about. 🥵

The art thrown in to certain scenes was a wonderful touch and made me so emotional every time. I’m going to buy a physical copy because of that alone.

Omg, the hold these books have over me is insane. The last quarter of Broken by Daylight is such a rollercoaster.

I do feel like the characters have been intentionally obtuse about their mating bonds - like duh? Obviously! But it works for the story I guess - keeps the burn slow, even if I was shouting at them to sort it out. I feel so sorry for the children of the Below too - my heart breaks for them, truly.

There are a couple of sections that feel a little messy writing-wise and maybe some areas where the emotions of characters are over-explained. It affect my experience that much but it's the only reason this wasn't a 5 star read for me.

Whitney’s Thoughts:
I am so invested in these characters! The sister author duo have continued a roller coaster for Rosalina and her High Princes and I love the twists and turns. The pacing on this book was a little off for me and dare I say there was too much spice??? Either way, I love these characters and can’t wait for book 5!

"Defeat is the hearth that forges resilience."

Have you ever had one of those books that you just can't put down? Can't process the world around you and you HAVE to finish the book? Yeah, okay, that was THIS BOOK. I'm going to start right off the bat and say this book was a ROLLERCOASTER in the best possible way. I spent all day reading this book and I just can't put into words all the emotions that it gave me. I laughed, I raged, I cried. I won't deny that this was BY FAR the best book to date within the series. I've been with our duo writers since the very first release of Bonded by Thorns and I've been in love ever since. Let it be known I am a reader how enjoys reading for what it is, not the technicality of it. I'm going to love just about every book I read, but Elizabeth (and) Helen will always hold a special place in my heart for this series.

As a continuation, we find ourselves back in the world of the enchanted vale with even more hardships, struggles and trials for Rosie and her fated mates. Not only do they face multiple villains but they all have their own internal struggles as well. While the series started off with a high correlation to Beauty and the Beast, Broken by Daylight also saw more correlations between both Hercules and the Little Mermaid. As a millennial, this just tickled my fancy. At the end of the day, this was just by far a top read for 2024 and I cannot wait to see how the future pans out for Rosie and her mates, because the real battle is just beginning.

AND *SPOILER* but.... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CAN WE PLEASE PLEASE POOR CASPIAN ALONE AND STOP LEAVING HIM HURTING?!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!! There was so much emotion and action! I was captivated the entire time! I cannot wait for the next book! But definitely have tissues ready, because you will be all up in your feels!!! This series just gets better and better with each book I honestly don't know how they do it!!!!

Elizabeth and Helen have an incredible talent for pulling you into their world, every book in the Beasts of the Briar series has been impossible to put down. Broken by Daylight was no exception, this book was a rollercoaster of emotions. I was hanging on every word, every twist and turn, every reunion and heartbreak. There was so much growth in the characters throughout this book. I was so disappointed in one of them specifically though and I know it’ll cause future heartbreak (for us readers and poor Rosalina especially). I cannot wait to see what is in store for Rosalina and her Fae princes next!

This book was everything I needed it to be and more. The continuation of the story from last book’s cliff hanger had me on edge the entire time I read this book. Rosalina really is the luckiest of women to be surrounded by so many who love her. All the princes’ different journeys throughout the book really set the story apart. I’m terrified for what’s going to happen next. I need book 5 asap.

Oh, these characters! Each subsequent book leaves you thinking, what could possibly happen now? And then, BAM, there it is. I am really pleased with the growth of all the characters, except Farron. He still hits me as a boy, and not a man. Dayton and Cas, chef's kiss! Kel and Ez are getting there. The spice be spicing, FOR SURE! I can't wait until the next book.

This book was a journey both individually and as a group. The push and pull, heartbreak, redemption, condemnation, and interconnected love woven throughout the story are fabulous. Everyone is searching for Rosie as the book starts off. Some have a long way to go in their search, while others just happen to end up in the right place at the right time. Some are fearless while others let the fear guide them.

Secrets are explained, other mysteries are unearthed. Through it all, they all have to reflect on who they are, where they came from, and who they want to be. For some that self reflection takes more time than others, but they each get somewhere further than they started fir goid or bad.

The combination of love is spicy, but the ending is once again a big lingering question of what's next!

Definitely downloaded Bonded by Thorns on a whim last summer because of the gorgeous cover, absolutely fantastic decision on my part.

The authors have pulled inspiration from different fandoms (I’m looking at you Achilles, Geralt, and Daddy Mando) but honestly it makes me love the series so much more. Yes it can be super predictable and unbelievably cheesy at times, but who cares? We’re here for fun not a literary masterpiece.

Can’t wait to see what book 5 brings in the winter realm, give me more of that frosty bastard rn!

Thank you to Elizabeth Helen and NetGalley for this ARC.

If I expect one thing out of a fantasy series, it is to be transported, which is a skill Elizabeth & Helen have honed so, so well. I know many people do not enjoy series with multiple narrative points of view, but I personally feel that they lend themselves to more thorough character development. To that end, I really appreciate how all of the princes in this series are their own characters - they do not exist simply to highlight the female main character, but rather have their own interactions with each other and their own arcs of growth and development, and I believe that is what has kept me coming back to this series over and over (which is saying a lot because I am NOT typically a book re-reader). I certainly do not keep coming back for Rosalina, who is 26 years old but consistently acts like a teenager and also is constantly crying. That's all I have to say about her, so let's move on to the real stars of the show.

Ezryn: Some people will tell you that they don't understand how Ez can switch between two personality extremes. To that, I have only two words - trauma response. I get it, Ez. His arc was my second-favorite of the whole book.

Farron: I do wish he was not infantilized to the degree that he is. I know it's likely a plot device to illustrate eventual personal growth, but it's getting old. It feels like something he should have left behind after his book.

Keldarion: See Farron, but opposite. I was grateful to see the hard exterior finally begin to chip away because I was getting bored of watching him keep people at arm's length in order to martyr himself. In this book, almost every scene featuring Kel was a hit for me.

Dayton: We love a golden retriever boy. Although Dayton made plenty of questionable decisions in this story (in true Dayton fashion), he also overcame a lot of his own standing-in-your-own-way issues, and the overall effect for me was a net positive.

Caspian: My perfect prince forever. No notes. 10 out of 10. Number one favorite storyline. I feel like the sisters have been hinting at a certain eventual coupling, and I will be so feral if I don't get it, but in another sense, I'll also be feral if I do get it. Fingers crossed.

The fact that all of the moving parts work together in this story to contribute to the larger over-arcing movement of the series (including the 3 forthcoming books) really makes this book feel like an experience. Fantasy fans, prepare yourself for an action-packed romp through the realms that proves that among the different types of magic that exist, love is the strongest of them all.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

This series has me in an absolute chokehold. The Authors do such a great job of balancing the romance elements with an absolutely gripping plot. I can't get enough. All of the characters are so well rounded. They all have distinct personalities and individual character growth. I'm obsessed and don't know how I'll survive the wait for the next book.

✨Why-Choose/RH
✨Fated Mates

This is the 4th book and you absolutely have to read all the books, in order to keep up with the plot. Unlike other longer series that can feel drawn out, this plot is just *chef's kiss*. I don't have enough words. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be giggling and kicking your feet. It's everything.

I feel so absolutely blessed to have received an ARC from NetGalley for this masterpiece.

You are warmth and sunshine. My light in the darkest places

I don’t even have the words to explain how I feel about this book.

Just when you think your heart is as broken as it can be after forged they come out with THIS. There are so many moments in this book that had me sobbing and laughing out loud. I’m not sure how to write a review that doesn’t have spoilers in it but let me just tell you this book it’s not just Daytons story. There is so much more in this.

The characters in this series have me in a chokehold and I can’t even begin to process how many twists and turns there are in this instalment. I was starting to wonder how the sisters would get 7 books out of this series but after this there are definitely some things to resolve. Just a warning though, the neat little bow everything was tied in after Woven was a ruse. That is NOT the case after Broken. I knew the books were loosely in pairs and so expected some closure. There is no closure. I am broken. I don’t know how long we have to wait but I think I might cry the entire time 😭

”My love for you is deeper than all the depths of the sea…I will do anything you ask. Please tell me not to do this”

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC.

I am currently VIBRATING with this visceral urge to scream every obscenity I know. But since NetGalley was SO kind in letting me read this ARC, I am going to try and be on my best behavior. No promises!!!

As you may know, the Beasts of the Briar series is a Beauty and the Beast retelling with our FMC Rosie and (many) Fae princes. These sisters are so talented taking beloved tales and putting their own twists on them. And trust me, THERE ARE TWISTS. This particular book also has a lot of inspiration from The Little Mermaid and Hercules which I adored.

The only way I can describe this series is as "resolution sandwich." You have a conflict, and then a moment of reprieve where we find a solution! But oh wait, there's even more tomfoolery around the corner, EVEN WORSE THAN BEFORE :) :) These sisters know how to keep this story FRESH, keep the reader ENGAGED, keep the spice SPICING. I was worried I would be bored with the spice by book 2, but that is not the case.

I love the relationships, the bonds, the side characters, the dialog. There's so much depth to these books I will never accept ANY criticism of them.

And that ending??? Okay look. There were some twists I anticipated, some I never saw coming, but that cliffhanger ending had me ready to pull my hair out and now I must sit with only my thoughts to keep me company as I stare into the void.

Will I find any purpose in life while I wait for book 5? Maybe, but not likely.
