Okay, this might just be my favourite romance book! The cosy vibes, spice m, atmosphere and perfectly written characters was everything that I was looking for. I’ve already recommended to so many and bought a few copies as presents too. A must read!
Absolutely loved this book and the continuation of the series. It felt like a warm hug in a book and I cannot wait to keep reading more from this author.
This was by far one of the most cute cosy books i’ve read! I just wish I read it in October for better seasonal vibes but the feels were still high! Although it followed a standard cosy book formula it did it perfectly and i enjoyed every minute! The characters were lovely with a little bit of grumpy-sunshine going on which I’ll never be mad about! The setting was beautiful and I will never not love a bookstore setting with a fun little meet cute 🤩 There was a bit of a little mystery at the beginning too which i enjoyed. I wasn’t expecting too much romance or at least close door or face to black but it gave me a bit more than that so that was an unexpected surprise which was happily accepted 😉 I overall just had a great time and will continue to pick up these books as they are just too cute/cozy to miss out on! Thank you to Harper Collin’s, One More Chapter & NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review ☺️

The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore - Laurie Gilmore
We’re back in Dream Harbour and this time we’re following Hazel, manager of the local bookstore (which has had many name changes!)
Hazel is feeling a little stuck in a rut and despite normally being very sensible she’s starting to think that some excitement wouldn’t go amiss.
Then one day she spots a book out of place on the shelves and when putting it to rights notices that someone has highlighted a passage inside. Is there a hidden meaning here?
When she mentions it to local fisherman and lover boy Noah, he suggests that she follows the clue to see what will happen. Throwing caution to the wind and feeling reckless Hazel follows the clue and the ones that keep appearing, leading her into a romance with Noah, which she never expected, one that he has been secretly wishing months for.
But Noah isn’t the settling down type of guy, right? Or is he!
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Dream Harbour again, I love the small town, Gilmore girls vibes, which immediately hugs you like a cosy blanket.
Hazel was an interesting character, I love that we got to tag along on her scavenger hunt escapade and dates with Noah. With Hazel giving librarian vibes and Noah being a bit of a playboy, there is a perfect opposites attract trope paired with he falls first.
I definitely recommend to any romance readers and Gilmore fans and I’m really looking forward to the next book!

This is a perfectly fun romance, even if it doesn't quite live up to the series' hype or even the first book in the series. I'll definitely be checking out the Christmas entry soon, though.
The perfect Autumn cutesy romance that we all needed. I love how, even though this could be read as a standalone, the character development from the first book is well-thought through and executed well. Can’t wait for the rest of the series!
Personally, this wasn’t the book for me.
The concept of the book sounded cozy and like the perfect book to read on chilly autumn day.
When I started reading the book I got through the first chapters really quick and it was an enjoyable read. But as the story went on it felt kinda repetitive to the point I lost interest in the characters and story.
It felt a little like the story was progressing too fast and not at all at the same time.
A wonderful read from Laurie Gilmore - I loved the second book in this series and I had it read in one sitting. A fun and easy quick read with some spice! The only negative I have is that the name of the book and the cover had me believing this was an autumnal romance but it was mostly set in the summer
While I loved The Pumpkin Spice Cafe and its warm, cozy vibes, I was unable to get through The Cinnamon Bun Book Store. I did not finish around 20%.
From the first page I was hooked, couldn’t put it down, this is the first book I have read by Laurie Gilmore, and it definitely won’t be the last. This is the 2nd book from dream harbour, I will be purchasing the first book pumpkin spice cafe and altho not necessarily needed to read in order it will help give you some background. A perfect book to curl up with on a autumn afternoon
I absolutely loved The Pumpkin Spice Cafe and had high hopes for the sequel but this completely exceeded them! The perfect combination of cozy vibes, chemistry, spice and lovable characters.
I can't wait to read the next one!
This book was such a pleasant surprise in comparison to book one! I absolutely loved Noah and Hazel's love story and it makes me excited for the third book in this series! The spice was much better integrated in comparison to the first one and this is such a great cozy fall book that makes me want to curl up with a pumpkin spice latte!
Amazing follow up to the Pumpkin Spice Cafe! Loved the characters and being a bookseller related to how Hazel felt at times! Loved the references to the books and the scavenger hunt and never guessed who had been leaving the clues! Of course there was plenty of spice and a great escapism book.
This is the cutest, coziest series. This one really reached me bc I, one, own and run a bookstore, and two, have a store manager named Alex. I do not have trouble being out of my comfort zone but still. This was just the cutest. I'm a sucker for scavenger hunt type trope and this was almost that and I just loved going back to Dream Harbor and loved Hazel and Noah!
Anything like this I will love also the second one in the series and one of the two characters own a bookstore? Sign me up
I was so excited to read The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore after Laurie Gilmore’s last release and this one did not disappoint! Such a great read for this time of year.
Book 2 of the Dream Harbor series. Hazel lives a quiet life as a bookseller but she’s turning 30 in a couple of months and feels like she needs to have a little fun before then. Noah is always up for a bit of fun, is known for sleeping his way round all the visitors to the town but also has his own demons to face. When Hazel starts finding mystery clues in the books in her store, she enlists Noah to help her solve them and maybe work out who is leaving them. But on the way, will they find each other and themselves too? A spicy romcom from the author of The Pumpkin Spice Cafe and a fun story too. The characters are sweet and we get a glimpse into how everyone is doing from the previous book too. I look forward to the next installment! Predictable romance with some smutty bits too, and an enjoyable story once again. 4.5/5
A super cozy read that ticks all the boxes! Would read this again, and look forward to reading Laurie Gilmore's next book!
This was the epitome of september and felt like a love letter to booksellers!! I absolutely loved this book and how quirky Hazel was. The romance in this was HOT! The book stayed true to feeling like Gilmore Girls in a book.
Loved it! I loved The Pumpkin Spice Cafe and I loved this even more! I fell in love with Noah and I saw so much of myself in Hazel, so I really enjoyed reading this!
