Leigh is on medical leave when she gets a message from her friend Elyse. When she gets there Elyse is missing and there's blood all over the floor. What happened to her? Her husband is acting strange and what about the daughter? Elyse is missing and girls are being kidnapped and murdered. Twists and turns, finding out the truth and some surprises. Can't wait for book 3.
This book was an absolute page-turner from start to finish. The gripping plot and expertly crafted suspense kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Each twist and turn was more thrilling than the last, and the author’s ability to build tension was unparalleled. The intricate storyline and unexpected developments made this a truly unforgettable read. I couldn’t recommend it more for anyone who loves a high-stakes thriller with plenty of surprises.
Book 1 in Leigh Brody FBI series and it's the start of a great new series. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the installment in this new series. I think it will keep up guessing with each new book. If you like suspense, give this one read.
I was enjoying this book a lot… the story of her father incarcerated for serial killings, and a copycat killer leading her to be sent to investigate in her home town. However, the twists at the end were terrible. It is not believable that she kept the survival,of her. Rather a secret for years, that her father was incarcerated for years for his death. That ruined it for me. Not believable.
Wow!! The twists and turns in this book were insane. All the mind games and anger and guilt kept me guessing who had done what. There were a couple of “Wow! I did NOT see that coming” moments. I am looking forward to hopefully more of this series.
I really enjoyed this book! So much, that I read it in one sitting! It held my interest and I would highly recommend this book.
Thanks to netgalley for providing this advanced copy for the purpose of review.
This was a compelling thriller with many twists and turns which kept the story interesting and moving forward.
A well done and well written thriller, I was thoroughly enjoying it. However, the ending fell a little flat for me, so 3.5 stars.
This was a good thriller that I really enjoyed for a lot of the book and thought was going to be a five-star (or very close) read, but unfortunately the ending kind of disappointed me so it dropped to 3 stars. The psychology aspect throughout the book was fun and interesting and kept things twisty, but it didn’t come to anything in the end unfortunately. I really did like the characters and the main narrator FBI agent Leigh Brody made the story worth reading. Overall, it was a solid thriller, not up there with my all time favorites just because I felt the ending was too dramatic for not a huge shock-factor, but still a good read.
I was so glad to know that this was part of a series as I cannot wait to read the next one, I really loved this book and was captivated straight from the start.
This book is the first book in the Leigh Brody series. This book is so well written. There was so much going on and I couldnt put it down. I look forward to reading more in this series.
Twisty and twisted, The Girl Who Survived, is a fantastic start to a new series and an absolute must read for fans of crime thrillers. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Thank you for allowing me to review this book. What an intense story. I was quickly gripped by Leigh Brody's story a she comes in to aid the investigation into a serial killer in her childhood home town. This thriller had me gripped to the very end, which was a surprise. I look forward to reading more in this series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5 stars

I love a good mystery and this one didn’t disappoint! Kept me interested right up until the end! This was my first book by this author and it definitely won’t be the last!
A gripping and twisty start of a police procedural series full of promises. Enjoyed it and it kept me guessing.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
FBI agent Leigh is my hero. She is strong and determined. I liked the story including the different twists and finding out you just might be wrong and don't have it solved after all.
I received an advance review copy for free (thank you NetGalley), and I am leaving this review voluntarily. All opinions are my own
First I want to thank NetGalley, Storm Publishing and Nichole Severn for my ARC of The Girl Who Survived.
As someone who lives in New Hampshire, I love that this book takes place in New Hampshire! This book had me hooked from the prologue! I couldn’t put it down! The characters were well written and as was the story line. I loved all the unexpected twists and turns. Just when you think you have it all figured out the author throws you a curve ball. This is a must read for all the crime thrillers out there! You won’t be disappointed!
✨My Thoughts✨
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and what a fresh and original voice in this genre, this story is perfection.
Imagine going back to your hometown after they abandoned you when your little brother got murdered and your father got sent to prison for life for committing the most heinous of crimes against his own son.
Leigh knows her father is innocent though and this might just be the time that she proves it once and for all.
This was a story that was just shock after shock, I couldn’t put it down until I’d finished it all.
Leigh is one hell of a woman, even when you learn what she went through as a teenager you’ll be in awe of her strength.
I wasn’t prepared for the ultimate shock and twist that the ending of this story gave me, it completely bamboozled me and left my jaw literally on the floor.
Hopefully I won’t have to wait long for book 2 because this author and series is incredible.
